They fixed the problem with my car for a reasonable price. However I wasnt impressed that when I dropped it off for the appointment they didnt seem to know anything about it and I had to give them my info again, including the details of the problem. Instead of writing up a work order or estimate he just jotted it down on the blotter on his desk. He said he couldnt give me an exact cost for evaluating it because it depended on what tests they decided to do. They promised to evaluate it and call me back that day or the next but never did. I called them 2 days later and found they had been working on it and had ordered parts to see if it fixed the problem (even though I had not authorized any repairs). They said they could return one part if I didnt want it but the other (spark plugs) would not be returnable after trying it. Also, they were too busy to work on my car themselves so they transferred it to a garage a couple miles away without telling me. I might not have had a problem with the repair time, parts, or subcontractor if they had just communicated it in advance instead of waiting until I asked afterward to explain it.

We have had an engine blow a catylac converter go out and then an AC Compressor go out and Appalacian has done great work and gaveus fair pricing on everything. They get it done quick and get it done right, and work with you if money is running tight. My fiance and I just want to to say thanks to Appalacian Auto Repair for all your hard work.

Ive used Appalachian Auto Repair for years. They are the best in my book. Ivan is one of the best on electrical issues. I drive from Knoxville to still use them.

We went in to fix a oil leak. They charged us 650 and told us it would be good to run. We picked the car up took it home and opened the hood to see a whole new piece in the engine and realized why it costed us so much. This was added without our consent and this piece made the car worse and the piece itself leaked oil everywhere. We went back and was told “there’s nothing we can do about it now” “ bring it back next week”

It is ILLEGAL to put parts into a car without the owners consent. Especially when the owner specifically told you to call before putting anything into the car. But it seems old Ivan has a reputation for doing that. Then when you tell him you are unhappy he tries to bully you by cussing and screaming.Well Buttercup you tried bullying the wrong person.Use him at your own peril.

They stay busy and do pretty good most of the time. But I have seen some missing and loose bolts on occasion.

Ivan replaced a transmission for me. He found and installed a used transmission a couple months ago and it has worked great for me. He did the work in a timely manner considering he had other work in front of me. His prices are not bad either i would totally recommend anyone to go to him for any mechanic work. Took my car their for my air conditioner they fixed my air conditioner but messed up two of my air vents had to take it back fixed my air vents but messed up my air bag on passenger side took it back they fixed that but had my air conditioner flow wheels fixed they fixed them but still a little warped was hard to turn by then my dash had chips in it had grease all over my seat and over head and last time we went back owners son was rude to us so we just took car back home before they did anymore damage but did file a report with BBB never go back again
