Great store. Darrel helped me pick out a game for my son. He picked out Spider-Man on PS4 and showed a lot of enthusiasm. He also pointed out a bundle deal so I got two more games. Awesome interaction.

The new store leader has completely ruined this store for me. I have made it a point to call ahead to make sure hes not there before I visit. Sick of being guilt tripped into getting the extras and getting attitude when I say no. I also appreciate how its perfectly acceptable to break rules to help himself, but not okay bend rules when it comes to helping customers. Unfortunate to say the least. The extra star is for the other employees here that are awesome.

Came in with a concern from a online order expecting to get told that they couldnt help, guy was working alone and still found time to exchange my game, get me resigned up for rewards and get a copy of Spiderman ultimate ordered to ship to my house. I specifically love this store

GameStop continues to survive with the changing dynamics media delivery. Store always has interesting items such and pop figures and other collectibles as well as a good supply of games and systems.

Really enjoyed this location until they replaced the old store lead. This man is visibly upset at customers for saying no to his offers. Lots of eye rolling and actual childish pouting. Not very business savvy, makes things awkward when purchasing anything. Ill be avoiding this store in the future.I have had little issues with other workers here.

The new store lead is absolutely awful and is making this store a nightmare to buy anything. Its not just me, four of my friends have the same exact experience from this new worse lead. You are unfit to be a lead or be selling to customers.

Waited for 4+ hours in line for a console when they told me I was guaranteed one and I did not end up getting one! Communication is not up to par between higher management and store managers apparently. The employees tried to be helpful the entire time but still did not get me a console after all that time. Many other better alternatives to gamestop in the area that are much better! Dont waste your time here!

New store lead Darrel i believe, very rude to customers!! Would not advise this location until GameStop makes some changes. Saw him roll his eyes and become aggressive with a customer when they refused a membership pass.

I make the drive from sartell to come to this location. employees are very friendly and helpful. store is big and wode variety of not just games but clothes, funko pops random figurines and collectibles and other goodies. my favorite location in the state.

They went back on gutting new games. I dont want to buy open games that are supposed to be new and sealed.

Only thing I didnt like was the fact that they dont sell any Xbox accessories

When i wanted to go to Monticellos GameStop. The custom service wasnt true. This console i wanted. was normal. i dont know what i was doing and then i got ripped off for buying the Nintendo Switch. Ill never coming back to Monticellos GameStop EVER AGAIN!!

Ehh... seems to have low stock of new games etc. But the staff is top notch! Always willing to help and take care of what we were looking for.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but so many of the products were not priced. We had to bring multiple products up to the register to check the price. Store was clean and well stocked. Would recommend this store.

Best gamestop around. They should all be half and half, catering equally to gamers AND collectors. Being far more the latter, I love this joint.

I had an excellent experience at GameStop. The store was well marked, easy to get to with ample parking. It was a pleasant atmosphere with nicely organized and tidy stock. I had goods to sell and the young man helping me was very knowledgeable and friendly. He chatted with me as he put my things into separate piles and there were only a few small things he could not take. I felt the prices I received were fair and reasonable and I left at the conclusion of a very satisfying business transaction. Highly recommended. 😊

Go there Everytime I need to buy a game or something. Manager is chill as hell. Bought a controller there then bummed a smoke off him and we just talked about games and stuff for 20 minutes. Great place all around.

Cashier didnt remind me about my rewards account! I didnt remember until it was too late. Normally Id be annoyed by cashiers who talk about rewards programs, but I actually have this one and I wish he would have reminded me. Otherwise a five star store

I went in to look for rdr2 and was asking if it was worth buying the upgraded versions or not the guy had no info on the game was completely rude like I was bugging him... I looked around at there stuff and everything was completely overpriced... Just looked at their inventory I can buy 2 new controllers for the price of one used one. I dont know how this place is in business its a joke.

Found what I wanted and a few things Id forgoten that I was looking for. All in all very satisfied.

They were supposed to ship a skylander to another store, when it didn’t show up at the other store, they were no help in locating it. He said he didn’t ship it so he doesn’t know when it was sent, how about you find out who and when it was shipped at all.

I love the place and the different sections of games there. I like the variety that they have for gamers.

The boys are always welcoming and friendly. They are willing to help you out and are a good source of gaming knowledge.

I have a Pro Members card to GameStop so I always bring my games in there and put my credits toward newer games, which gains points as well as giving a discount on used games. Theres a huge selection of games and consoles to choose from. And other collectibles too.

For a smaller Store they have a great selection of products every visit Im always finding great hidden gems in their collectibles section

Customer Service is OK at best, but the stores policies... an employee literally bought my pre-ordered copy of a game, so I had to wait for them to get another one, and their return policy only allows for store-credit refunds. What kind of business is that? not one Ill be returning to.

Ive been in there multiple time on different occasions and gotten just a steam card. Each time Ive been in there, there is at least 2 people working at a time. As you all know the Game Stop checkout is very slow. This store happens to be the worst checkout system I have ever seen, there is 2 registers in the store (like most Game Stops).The past FIVE TIMES I have been in the store I have gotten my usual and waited in a VERY LONG LINE!!! I can handle waiting in a line if the employees are at least trying to help costumers. when I was waiting in the line only one employee ringing people up, she was also on the phone at the same time helping someone. While me and 6 other people wait in line for this poor lady to get us all rapped up, another employee was leaning on the counter watching the whole thing happen. I eventually asked him if he was gunna help cause I know I wasnt the only one who wanted to spend his whole day waiting in line in Game Stop. THE GUY CHOSE TO IGNORE ME AFTER I ASKED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES!!! It wasnt like he was watching the lady to train her cause I have seen her in there for a long time. I can understand that he is probably a manager but really when there is a long line you arent gunna help??? I will never shop there again cause every time this happens.... I will go way out of my way and go the the elk river Game Stop just to avoid this terrible store...

I went to the Gamestop in Monticello looking for a specific accessory item that the nice Gamestop clerk in Alexandria said Monticello had in stock. Monticellos Gamestop employees were very unwilling to help me locate the item though. They confirmed stock in the computer system and the male employee basically wished me luck finding it in the completely unorganized mess of a store that Monticello is trying to run. This employee briefly glanced through some bins before he promptly gave up the search. I said to him so what Im looking for is here somewhere? And he told me that yes, it *should* be, but in no particular location because they dont re-shelve items that are put down in random areas of the store. ...sooo... I was unable to find what I was looking for even though the computer listed 11 in stock. This Gamestop looked like a yard sale after a bus full of toddlers tore through it, hurricane style. The employees were apathetic and refused to help. The one who helped me went right back to chatting up a female visitor after he briefly looked at a couple shelves and gave up. This is a terrible way to present yourself to customers. Alexandrias Gamestop is worlds better. Just go there or order online. Monticello is a lost cause.

Im commenting because I was about to call this GameStop and noticed the terrible reviews. I read them and was astounded. And then immediately annoyed. Im trying to now even it out ( the rating) because the store has a 2.5 rating because impatient children cant wait their turn. You dont rate someplace 1 star because you had to wait in line longer than you wanted. That isnt how rating works. It screws up the system.I have always had a great experience whenever I go to Monticello GameStop. They are helpful, polite and courteous. They are always more than willing to take the time to explain how kids games like skylanders, Disney infinity and Lego dimensions work. This saves me a massive amount of time and their knowledge has always been spot on. Ive never had a question that they couldnt answer. And before someone says, oh this is some old parent that doesnt get video games! Wrong! I am 32 and I play video games myself.Be happy that we have a GameStop in a town of 12,000 people. If we didnt you would have to drive 20 miles to maple grove or st cloud. Thats why its busy a lot of the time. There is one store for the whole town, so anyone that games goes here. Learn patience and humility. The people that work at GameStop arent making a whole lot of money. How would you like having to help some highschool kid or someone that is in their early 20s nerd raging because they are out of copies of fallout 4? Or because the LINE TOOK 40 MINUTES! And they have to be nice to you because if they arent they lose their job. Thats good service, because the kind of service the two crybabies that gave 1 star reviews diserve is a punch in the face.Rant complete! Thanks GameStop workers for being cool and not condescending to people that dont know everything about video games because they have real responsibilities and wives and children. 5 Stars *****!
