Love love this place been there a couple of times, very cozy, staff very kind and welcoming, food is very good, a place to sit and catch up with a friend or family
Coffee was good though very small for the price, pastries were stale (I tried 2) and the bathrooms were disgusting. Nevermind the pandemic, they were just so dirty. The girls working were sweet. Not sure if Ill return but if I do, coffee only.
I met the owner and the people working here are super kind. Love the vibes this place has it reminds me an old business in Ellicott City, Maryland we used to have.It is awesome that they have cbd oil and cbd oil drinks. One day my foot was hurting me so I got chamomile tea with cbd oil and strawberry lavender vbyes it really helped me out when I was walking around with the Jazz Festival going on.Love to come back here. Sending you all love and support from Maryland.
The cafe is super cute. The boba tea is alright especially the mango boba. The tiramisu however it tasted like cardboard, next morning I was sick.
This place is a cozy and family-oriented coffee shop in the heart of downtown Montclair. Their Marcedonian style coconut cake is exotic. We tried the cake, banana & strawberry smoothie, and their homemade crapes. They were wonderful and we’d love to visit this place again sometime. Noted that the smoothie is fruity without additional sweetener, thus, good for health!
Favorite coffee shop in Montclair hands down. I love coming here to do work. The coffee is awesome the open mic on Wednesday is always a good time. The food is even better and almost all of their deserts are gluten free/vegan. There is parking in the back if you come by car or street parking.Atmosphere is also awesome because of their mix matched furniture. They have plenty of outlets everywhere, and they have a very nice clean bathroom.Overall, best coffee shop!
The chai latte and the baklava 🧡🧡 made my entire life. I think this business is run by turkish family. So the food here is authentic. The chai latte is not overly sweet. $15 spent for an iced latte and chai latte. Overall good place for interviews and meetups and lunch breaks. They do have gluten free options here as well. Only street parking or metered parking available.
If you dont want your coffee to go, this place has table service. A bit surprising for a coffee shop, and normally not a problem, BUT the poor girl at the counter was swamped with to-go orders. We waited at least 20 minutes before she had a chance to come take our orders. Not her fault, but it just would have been nice to put our order in at the counter when we got there. The atmosphere of the place is nice & comfortable. Lots of really loud, chatty people apparently frequent this place, so if you plan on studying here, bring some headphones.Coffee was good and reasonably priced. Definitely will be going back.
I was here recently, and I loved the ambiance. The place felt so welcoming, and the service was great!
Awful. Owner of the cafe is rude to his customers. Plenty of other quality cafes in the areas
Really loved the coffee and crepes were jjst amazing!
Very nice manager Good deals
Such an exquisite coffee shop! Trend Coffee & Tea House serves flavorful and beautifully-crafted beverages. Ive had French Vanilla and White Mocha lattes—both drinks were served in Mason jars and had a sweet and rich flavor! Trend Coffee & Tea House offers a cozy, homey and aesthetic atmosphere to patrons. I would describe Trend as inviting yet intimate. The bow windows gives the coffee shop a lovely touch! This cafe is truly a gem!
Love capuchino and I go around tasting all over town. The presentation wasnt well for one the capuchino in a glass is the best presentation, its okay if do to covid. The deserts were okay. Atmosphere is relaxing to sit and relax.
Chai tea latte is my go to here. Tried their crepes and they were delicious~made very well!! They offer CBD goodies too.The atmosphere, cozy seating, and art is a plus to this hidden gem.
I would give zero stars if possible I ordered macha with CBD. When asked waiter mentioned CBD price is included but when I saw the receipt its extra. I also order carrot cake which tasted foul. Wife order coffee in mug, its not even tasted like coffee, just milky hot water. Had to throw it all in their trash can on our way out while the servers is watching, they never cared to ask whats wrong.
Friendly staff and delicious sandwiches!!
I came here during Covid, it’s pretty much “Find your own table” and “Remember what you ordered”. The lady behind the counter, asked what we ordered three times. The food is nice, the service could be better.
Visited this cozy coffee shop. Their staff is so friendly and I like their coffee collection too. They have wonderful art pictures which makes it nice as you sit down and talk in a quiet place.
What a great place
Great food, great bar, great staff.
A little pricey but nice place
Great coffee shop, and the owner is a nice guy to talk to. He’s very knowledgeable about world history, and will tell you a lot about his country, Macedonia. He’s even had the president of Macedonia visit his coffee shop. This is the first time any world leader has ever visited Montclair! Oh, that’s right, the coffee. It’s great! I had the mocha latter. My gf had a plain coffee. The decor and the vibe inside is also chill and laidback. Good music. I think they have live bands play, too. All around 5/5 stars. Support this business!
The owner (the guy) is too rude! specially if you go with your computer! and coffee was awful. it was terrible!
Amazing pizza and sandwiches
A very comfortable place with greattiramisu.
Omg the best experience
The owner was really nice and the crepes and coffee were both really tasty. Would recommend trying it out.
One of my favorite places! Relaxed, artsy vibe.
A bunch of couples (about 15) came here together on a Friday night and loved it. The live band was fun to watch but it does get a little loud and not conducive to conversation. Nevertheless, they shut their performance down around 10:30pm and we stayed and enjoyed each others company until almost midnight. I had the oreo mousse pie, delicious and light. My husband had the apple pie (he didnt even notice it was vegan...and hes a picky eater). The vanilla chai was good (not necessarily great...but definitely not bad). I might opt for a cappuccino or latte next time. The vibe and decor is great...cozy couches and chairs in little sections makes for a warm and comfy environment. We will definitely come again.
Nice Place for Coffee Laptop Work....Great Music as well.,. 🎵🎶☕☕☕💻💻💻👨🏻💻👨🏿💻👨🏼💻👩🏽💻
Very cute coffee shop. I’ve been going there fir the last 6-7 years (I miss the open mic), I like pretty much all their stuff...
Friendly staff, surprisingly delicious vegan and gluten free deserts, tastey sandwiches and a wide variety of beverages. There are lots of cozy couches and chairs to relax in. They also have frequent events like open mic nights.
Came here using the bathroom but felt a great vibe in this place and my girlfriend bought 2 lemon ginger teas. they were fantastic and def coming here again
Its okay the Boba was old and small and slightly hard.
Came here for just a quick pick-me-up cup of coffee and really enjoyed the place. It has a nice ambiance overall and the coffee and dessert are really good. I would definitely visit this place when around the area next time.
Cozy location for small bite and coffee/tea options. Tables/chairs seem outdated/old. Updating to something more modern would add to the decor and overall good feel of the venue
Great food, and drinks, cozy inside, amazing service.
I fell in love with Montclair from the moment I saw it. “I’m going to live here,” I said to myself. It reminds me of Northampton, MA, with its booming businesses and bohemian atmosphere. Trend Coffee & Tea House embodies these qualities. Great coffee! Wonderful atmosphere! You get live bands and other activities — and it’s quiet and comfortable when you want to go for coffee while working. Such an honor to be there, and the beginning of beautiful experiences to come. Be sure to stop into this wonderful place!
Awesome venue. Great food and desserts. They have open mike on Wednesdays. Also local artists can display their art on the walls of this awesome cafe. Nice owner, great guitar player. Very european. Its like being on vacation far away. But so worth it. 5 stars all the way!!!
I came here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and I loved it. They have different chairs and seating options which is so cool. Me and my bf sat in 2 big comfy chairs and sipped on super yummy lattes and had a slice of Nutella cake and Oreo cake which were both so tasty! Everything was so tasty and the service was excellent as well. They also have cbd products which is so cool. I will def be returning.
Coffe and service is just ok. The vintage design of the place is really great!
Much nicer than going to any Starbucks or Dunkin. The ambiance is very soothing. The place is cozy and welcoming. Every drink Ive had has been on point. And the staff members are all very pleasant & ready to serve.
Great atmosphere. Reminds me of Central Perk from Friends. Quiet, excellent service. Not wheelchair accessible but they have DELICIOUS homemade treats and some are even vegan and gluten free. I dont tend to like vegan baked goods but that fig pastry was amazing.
If you are looking for a great place to relax come here. Its what the name suggests. Its eclectic with lots of personality. Wednesday nights catch various local artists or stand out and stand up and perform yourself. The owner and staff are friendly and the local talent is always willing to take anyone who wants to perform. Highly recommend.
I love this place! I come here every Wednesday for the open mic. Staff is polite and the food is just amazing! Its quite a great place to chill out and do some work or come with friends. Love it!
Nice place with vegan options where you can relax and spend some time. Cool artwork on the walls.
Must try their chai latte!! They offer several different vegan milk alternatives and pastries. This space is huge and they make good use of the space with the local art work and open mic nights.
This is an amazing spot only 10 minutes from Hobby. It was so good we are going back early Sunday before our return flight.Everything here is homemade in front of you and hot from the oven. Dont miss this and ask for Shawn.
Great place to sit back, enjoy a great cup of coffee, and look at some amazing artwork on the walls. This place makes you feel nice and cozy allowing you to order your drink and not have to worry about paying until after you are done. Highly recommend to stop by for at least one cup of coffee/tea/latte.
Trend is a nice coffe shop, it has an antique vibe, which I guess is what they were going for, but I gotta say its very dirty. They need to take better cafe of their tables and chairs, clean once in a while at least. The place has a odor like its never been cleaned. The laces on some of the tables are also dirty.
I come here often, at least once a week. I love how cozy and homey this place feels, not sterile like other coffee shops. The ambiance alone is worth a visit if youre looking for a casual place to hang out. All the drinks Ive had have been very good (coffee drinks, tea hot and iced, hot chocolate, milkshakes). But, I will admit the food, specifically the sweets, arent amazing. I havent tried any other food like the wraps or salads. Service is generally good and the employees are nice but once in a while you might catch an employee in an off-mood.
Love to come here in the afternoon - its a quiet oasis, perfect for catching up with a friend or reading/studying. Yummy treats including gluten free options.
Seemed like a nice atmosphere, I just stopped in looking for a friend performing there. But got there late.
Very cozy atmosphere. Great coffee and tea selections as well as desserts. It feels warm and inviting. Its a great place for a date or to just read a book and drink some coffee.
Cute cafe. We went because they have vegan options. The coffee and tea we had were very good. The crepes were on point, but the vegan desserts were just okay. We would go back for the London Fog, which was outstanding, but I would skip the vegan dessert.
Trend Coffee was one of the perfect place to stay for coffee as their coffee made so special and their food were also good too... Service was fine. I definitely recommend stopping by and spending time there.
Tiramisu please!
Great food. Good coffee. Nice ambiance. Reminds me of old school coffee shops from the 90s. Love it.
A longtime favorite spot for my girlfriend and I. The perfect atmosphere for a quieter meal. I love to get an affogato here. But more than the coffee, I think it is what a coffee spot should be: slightly dark, quiet conversation (usually), good coffee and tea, and a welcoming community culture.
Awesome teas!
The “famous” apple pie was the worst pie I ever had. It was like eating apples with cinnamon flavored glue. There was way too much thickener. My husband had the carrot cake. It wasn’t very good either. Coffee wasn’t even good. Overall disappointing.
Service was good, coffee out of this world. Suitable for all types, from youngsters to families to grannies. A bit pricey, but worth it. Ill definitely return.
Cozy place with great coffee and pastry. Theres a nice jazz group and even the owner or manager played the guitar.
Always great coffee and deserts at good prices....jazz music makes it special.
Trend Coffee & tea have a nice menu for beverages. They have different types of coffee and their interior too is really nice. It is a good place to sit in with a cup of joe & get your work done. Their sandwiches are a little expensive but they taste good.
Its a great place if you need time to yourself. Some of the most comfortable chairs Ive sat in at a cafe. The people working there are extremely polite. The food, desserts, and teas are delicious. Ask for the waitress Ashley, shes great.
They have numerous Gluten-Free items that are NOT gluten-free. The woman manger/owner doesnt care that the products the label gluten-free are not made in a gluten-free kitchen, placed in the same display as gluten and not wrapped to avoid airborne gluten contamination. After re-visiting the same woman told me she doesnt care because they sell well. Avoid this place for gluten-free food and because of their ignorance. Hopefully one day they will understand and care that gluten-free is no gluten ingredients and no contamination and people get ill, as most have started to learn and adapt to offer a safe gluten-free product to customers.
Theres a reason Trend Coffee has been on Americas best coffee. Its a quirky place with a lot of random things hanging on the walls and nestled in places that you might have grown up with. Very hipster like atmosphere.Theres not as much place to sit about as youd expect of such a popular place, but everyone is friendly enough to share a couch or table with you if youve a mind to work there for a while.Ive indulged in tea here, since it is my go to drink, but have also enjoyed their Honey Bear Latte.
We love Trend in Montclair... cool art on the walls, friendly staff, good food, great coffee/tea, and interesting customers. In fact, we just bought a handmade hat from a woman poet who was knitting it as she met with her group of fellow writers at a table next to us.
Lovely atmosphere and a decent cup of coffee. Pricing is fair and the cakes are nice.Only problem was the service is a bit slow and the bathroom is useless if you have long legs!
Love this place awsome tea and bubble tea
A great place to have a small meal or snack with friends, amazing food. I really recommend the chipotle chicken panini.
Delicious beverages. Huge, yummy salads. Indulgent treats. Comfortable atmosphere. Cannot say enough great things about Trend!
Great spot if you want a CBD shot. Really helps if you have muscle pain.
Nice comfortable place. Fresh coffee. Friendly staff. A good gathering place for artists, and everyone else! By all means go!
Great cozy atmosphere. Love the local musicians that play there.
Super cute! Great tea! Though I didnt buy any, I was happy to see vegan pastries available. Ill definitely be back for some!
A cozy environment that you would expect to order at the counter and then sit in one of their eclectic seats, but no! They come to you and take your order! Simple easy food, but they concentrate on the drinks, which is most important!
Came here to get some work done, nice quiet place to have a cup of tea or coffee and a good sandwich I choose the chicken wrap which ended up being absolutely phenominal. Ill be back here to do more work in the near future. Great place awesome atmosphere.
A great restaurant with good lattes, coffee and tea. They have nice salads, panini, and wrap sandwiches. I really love their cupcakes. They have vegan, gluten free, and gourmet cupcakes all delicious. Their prices are a little lower than other gourmet dessert places in the area.
This place provides a great homey feel. It almost feels like Im back at my grandmas house (In a good way). The drinks here are great also.
Yummy Nutella lattes and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere with great service!
Very good red velvet 🎂
Great place! The coffee selections are very good and yummy. The food is also nice! I love it here!
Whoa! Im not from the area and only stopped in because I had a meeting nearby but I would seriously drive out to Montclair just to come here again. I normally get cortados but the barista recommended I try to Nutella latte and I am so glad she did. I made it 3 shots instead of 2 because I was worried about it being too sweet but they know what they are doing, it was perfect. I would easily say the best latte Ive ever had. Very cool vibe, lots of seating, they even have a little stage where Im guessing they have live music every once in a while. Great service, you order and then they direct you to sit down and they bring you your order. Will definitely be coming back, just need to find an excuse to go to Montclair.
Great atmosphere. Even better snacks and desserts!
Great live music, amazing selection of teas and coffee. Staff is friendly and place is really cute for a first date or simply as a hangout place
I have stopped in several times to have a few cups and use the wireless. I agree with Joe, prices are higher than I expected, but the good atmosphere and friendly service mostly make up for that. Much, much more relaxing and personalized than a chain, its a pleasure to spend a little more money here and know its not going to Starbucks.
