Don’t waste your time going here. Recently you never know when or if this place is gonna be open. THANKFULLY Java Love Roasting Co coffee shop is across the street & always open!, so just pivot to there if this Starbucks disappoints.Online this Starbucks says it’s open, most times it’s not. Sometimes there’s a note on their door saying they’ll be closed, most times there isn’t. And even when they’re open, the workers are disregarding and move with 0 urgency, almost as though they’re in their living rooms chilling instead of proactively tending to customers. Plus there’s a pastry shortage at this location so ya never know what they have in stock- fun. At least they put a note on the door for that. But then, why open if you don’t have the products to sell that makes Starbucks, well…Starbucks! It’s frustrating & I wish management would intervene to run their operations better for the loyal Montclair residents who’ve been patronizing their business for years. In short, disappointing.

I tried this place out for the first time and was so satisfied! The service was amazing; everyone was so chill, helpful and nice. The food was delicious. I really like the workers too. Theyre friendly, It is a wonderful local coffee shop. Its good, really

Open again! But missing a lot of ingredients that do not reflect on the mobile app so know that your order may not be made when you arrive due to product shortage. Be nice to them, this has to be stressful for them too!

As far as Starbucks coffee, I love it, as far as it being made correctly... like 7/10 times it is. ICome here daily in the morning and order with the app hoping for convenience. Until you walk in, it will take 5 minutes or more to be acknowledged because they are one of the stores who still have their mobile orders behind the “window”. I understand the staff is busy, but maybe make it accessible for us to take them again like the other stores have? I run over from work and have 2 minutes to be away and that’s usually wasted waiting for somebody to even notice I’m waiting for a mobile order.

They are always closed, i understand with the times we are in that getting supplies can be difficult or limited but every week they are closed.

Customer service is amazing! Always friendly and willing to assist. Even though in town(pinky raised), the staff is real down to earth and manage professionalism. After all, it is the customer service that you come back to.😊

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered two coffees on the mobile app and waited in line for twenty minutes after driving to the store. I asked for a manager and a refund and they were much quicker to act to give me a refund than pour a nitro cold brew (the simplest drink to make off of the menu). Terrible experience.

After the renovation theres no place to sit and work really. Looks like they want to discourage that which is fine. But thats what I need. Tiny round tables are not good for a laptop. Weird layout.People are great, always friendly. Coffee is usually great too. If you just want to sit and read or chat with a friend it might be perfect for you.

I would not reccomend this place. I waited 40 minutes for an order that was wrong. Very unacceptable. Dissapointed. If your looking for starbucks please go to the one in upper montclair.

Whats the point of customizing my drink when the barista doesnt follow it?

Albeit having limited services due to the pandemic, this starbucks had smooth service and wonderful partners. Dwayne served me at the door and was extremely friendly, even remembering my name and face when I came back 30 minutes later after eating. I would highly recommend this store.

Went yesterday and ordered 2 hibiscus teas to wait 20 mins to find out they already sold their last two. However while standing there the entire 20 minutes waiting no one ordered these drinks or picked up any. Doesn’t take 20 mins to tell someone they don’t have something. I will never be going back to this Starbucks. I don’t care if it’s closer.

Young lady taking our order rushed through it made a mistake on the size and when we asked for our order to be corrected, the gentleman making the coffee seemed annoyed immediately. He gave us a grande (correct size) drip coffee, instead of a Caramel Cappuccino, He also gave us a hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is not coffee.? After all he made our order wrong twice. We walked away tired of dealing with the incompetent staff. Bad service.

Really dislike the remodel, Church St. use to be warm and inviting. Now it seems cold and impersonal. Use to come daily but never can get my drinks just right.

Starbucks is located on Park Street and Church Street in Montclair and downtown Starbucks is a lot newer and has more seating than the one in upper Montclair I like the Starbucks is perfect for relaxing I would give it a five star review but I’m just not a big Starbucks fan

This location has really fallen off. I go to this location primarily for mobile orders. EVERY TIME I get there, there is some form of issue! Either my drink is made incorrectly ( i order hot drinks and arrive to a iced drink waiting) or I get notified that its ready, get there, and my drink hasnt even been started! Which is so confusing because there will be no customers waiting so whats the hold up?! Issues are always corrected with a smile but why do I have to deal with this 9/10 times i order? Will definitely try to make it a habit to go to the other location in the area...

This Starbucks gets the job done. Its a lot like other Starbuckss. This place used to be really nice and cozy, but it has changed a lot in the previous years. I would recommend coming here for Coffee, Drinks, and other Delicious items.

Nice staff but great inconvenience for paying customers. Most seats are taken buy non customers. Last four times I patronized, I was not able to sit and eat because many seats were taken by people not drinking or eating Starbucks products.

What makes this place special is the fact that the Baristas there are genuinely nice people. I would go back there. Good treatment goes a long way.

Really poor service. Staff is pretty unfriendly and unhelpful. Much prefer the Maplewood or Livingston stores where the staff is kind, know my name and treat me like a person vs a transaction.

Central Montclair location, it the seating is kinda-of weird, tiny tables and most were flooded. Also an attraction for local hobos which makes it less than enjoyable to seat at and work or even grab a drink with a friend. No parking, you have to pay for spots around there.

Its Starbucks. Good coffee, poor food except for the quinoa salad, and a loyalty program that has really gone to the dogs lately. Overrated, and 7Eleven and McDonalds have good coffee far cheaper.

Like most Starbucks in the area, great service. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because theres no defined start to end of the line and more kids than I would like to see hanging out unaccompanied by an adult.

It has fine deinks, but the price is just too much! I treat myself occasionally to a vanilla bean frappacino and an egg cheese sausage sandwich, but i cant make a routine out of it. Its fine for a treat, but not for regualar visits.

The girl working on pick up orders today was super unorganized and rude. I will be going to Upper Montclair location from now on.

Firstly, the coffee house is rarely clean. In all the visits Ive made to this location I always find the tables and restrooms dirty!There is no excuse for this! I always arrive at or no more than 30 minutes after.An establishment, especially one serving food and beverages, should be cleaned each night before closing or at the very least prior to opening in the morning.Secondly, the damn place is always cold! When entering through the doors heat is felt but it does not extend to the other areas of the coffee house.When going there I always have to bundle up for the frigid indoor temperatures.One cant enter the place, take off outer garments and simply relax in a heated and comfortable environment.I could understand if this were an isolated incident, but this is always the case, no matter how low the outdoor temperature drops.Thirdly, the quality of the coffee beverages are consistently inconsistent! Why?It is always luck of the draw!Also, how many times are the employees going to overcharge for soy or almond milk in a regular coffee?Most often the employees dont even have the decency and integrity to apologize!Lastly, a few of the employees carry the appearance of being in need of a nice grooming.They may not actually be dirty but they certainly appear to be.I completely get the casual culture. However, how much effort is required in appearing tidy?

After their renovation there is barely a space to sit and have coffee with friends. It is usually busy. The staff is very friendly. The coffee is always great.

Busy, so it can be difficult to find a place to sit. The food and drinks are made fast, though, so its especially good if youre grabbing and going. There tends to be a crowd of people waiting for drinks close to the entrance.

Most of the employees are not very friendly or welcoming. The line is Usually 15 Deep at Any time of the day! (I usually go, or Try to go, around 11AM). They are slow to make orders compared to other Starbucks (or most other places for that matter). When I can see the people lined up from the register to the front door, From Outside, I know I dont even have to get out of my car! This is sad because I live minutes away and I pass by there a couple of times a day! If u can order in advance from your smart phone, it is Highly recommended. Then it will take about 10-15 minutes. Then you can just walk in, grab your order & go! Also, I feel, for an average tasting cup of coffee, a Grande (Just 16 ounces), is a bit over priced!

They removed all the comfortable seating and they are never fully stocked and seem to run out of items often. Place is more like a drive thru that you have to walk thru and just keep going dont get comfortable. Not very coffee-shop like where you want to hang out. Staff seems unhappy and it reflects in their customer service. Not sure what happened in the past year but the place has gone down hill tremendously.

Starbucks can do no wrong in my book. The only thing I can think of is that I need to give this place a break or they’ll think I have no home.

Disappointed at this usually flawless Starbucks this evening Dec.10, 2018 around 5pm. The barrista was constantly on the phone while doing the coffee, disrupting the orders of the coffee and keeping people waiting. During the 20 minutes i was there waiting for my almost forgotten order, i heard 4 people complaining of the kind of service we received.

I loooove starbucks so much they have the best Frappuccino and many more. I will go there everyday if I can.

The review comes in proxy from Tiffany Hale who frequents often, The service is great, very fast. Perfectly located in the heart of downtown Montclair, beware that parking is the worst. A good tip is to order ahead (on the app) because they have gotten it right, every time so far (whereas in NYC they dont). Theres also outside seating. Dog friendly.

Sunday Jan 26 around 2pm. The barista was spilling coffee and milk all over the cup, my late was cold with a tiny amount of coffee as the barista spilled most of it outside my cup. No tissues at the location. The worst experience Ive ever had at Starbucks

This place has the perfect atomsphere for all types of people; Detectives, High Schoolers, Music Artists, Business Owners, etc., you name it.The food and drinks there are served rather nicely and the workers are generally nice to you.If youre new and are currently reading this, Id go there and chill out.

Its your standard Starbucks. Friendly baristas. Great area, but what keeps it from getting 4 stars is that its very dirty and water leaks into the booths by the windows when it rains.

Really rude young lady at the cashier!! I waited patiently to pay for a bottle of water. There were 2 cashiers open so when one of them became open I moved in front of it (it was my turn after 4 minutes of waiting!) the rude lady yelled at me speaking very fast I didnt really understood what she was saying. But the other lady said she wanted me to go back to the line! I did. And then after 10 seconds she called me again because it was my turn!! Pretty unnecessary humiliation. The employees at this place seem to think they work at the post office. Guys, if you dont understand the culture and philosophy of this place you need to find another job. Its really sad when Im consitely finding the service at the family owned local coffee shops or even Duncan Donut to be much more friendlier that this place! Time for a change of cup of coffee:)

I made sure to do a Starbucks tour on Google reviews today to specifically speak on what needs improving and for this location: the third time Ive been here and once again the Wifi did NOT work. Ive been here three times in 2 years and whats the irony of that other than dont come here to work and sip. Just sip. ugh. It was crowded today so I had to sit outside. The one in Glenridge, BETTER to me.

Well there is a first time for everything. This is the first time Ive had to give a Starbucks a negative review. The main issue was the customer service. The guy at the register was disconnected, and didnt like me asking a question. The other gentleman making my drink was just nasty, and didnt seem to care about me as a customer. To add insult to injury the bathroom was destroyed. Never seen that before.
