New Gild Jewelers is absolutely wonderful. Ive brought in two items for repair so far. Both times, they were knowledgeable, friendly, and fixed both pieces perfectly. They have on-site expertise, so when I called them to mount a pearl onto a chain, they gave me several options along with the pros and cons of each of them. I felt confident handing over my pearl to them, and they did a beautiful job. They also have a gorgeously curated selection of jewelry - from eye-catching green tourmaline to a pair of classic pearl earrings I have my eyes on--I love their jewelry selection, warm customer service, and great expertise. Ill be coming back to New Gild for all my jewelry needs.

I damaged my ring set at work and New Gild was able to use my materials to create my new wedding ring. The mastery of Jen and her team is unparalleled--I was so surprised how quickly and expertly they were able to take an idea and make it into a reality. Jen and Kelsey rose to the challenge flawlessly to create a custom engagement ring within my rushed timeline. I would recommend them to ANYONE who finds a ring online that they love but cannot find in any nearby store.My girlfriend found a ring that she loved online, however, it was going to take 6-8 weeks to create & ship and I was intending to propose within just a couple of weeks. Thus, I reached out to several custom jewelry shops in the Minneapolis area and Jen replied to my email within 5 minutes at 11pm on a Wednesday night. We met the next day to discuss details and she was so welcoming and knowledgeable! Not to mention New Gild is a chic, tasteful shop located on the vibrant corner of Upton ave. and west 43rd street, which made the experience even more enjoyable.Needless to say, the ring was created with time to spare and my now fiancé loved it! Ive never owned a more beautiful piece of jewelry than the ring New Gild designed for me. Nearly a year before, Id lost the diamond from my engagement ring. Now I wanted to replace the ring, incorporating its gold and the diamonds from my grandmothers watch into one platinum ring. Jen Bellefleur took on the challenge and created a beautiful bubble ring thats a joy to wear both for its design and its sentimental value. I highly recommend New Gild Jewelers! Prior to contacting New Gild Jewelers, I was devastated because my wedding set had been damaged beyond repair. I wasnt interested in sizing up, upgrading, or replacing it with something entirely different as the set held such sentimental value to me. Jen listened to my concerns and took her time in evaluating my set, while completely respecting my thoughts. My set is considered technical in that it includes a channel setting on both the engagement and wedding bands, and while the diamonds set within them appear the same size, they do slightly vary. The diamonds needed to appear balanced from left to right within the channels, as well as above and below, which I knew could be a challenge.New Gild used all of my existing diamonds and gold, and built a replica of the original set that turned out absolutely beautiful!! The care and craftsmanship is unquestionably first class, and my set is now a better version than the original. The detail is amazing, and it somehow offers more glitter and light reflection than the original, while still maintaining every quality it once had. It feels so good to have my ring back! I find myself admiring it as I did as a newlywed years ago, and couldnt be more grateful for finding Jen and her staff at New Gild Jewelers!

As a wedding planner and florist in the Twin Cities, Ive had the opportunity to work with New Gild a handful of times for styled shoots and have always had a great experience! I knew that when it was time to start sending hints to my Fiance about where to get a ring from, New Gild was the only option. He worked with Jenifer on getting my moms old diamond re-set in a new band for his surprise proposal, and we worked together with Kelsey to custom design the rest! My husband bought me an antique engagement ring from an ethically sourced jewelry company based out of California. We didnt put any insurance on it at the time because we were to broke. A couple years later I smashed the basket setting in locking cabinet doors, and had to hunt for the diamond. The local jeweler where we got the wedding band said they would not fix it and sent me home with suggestions for a new ring. After speaking with a friend of the family at New Gild, I brought it in for repair. The repair was reasonably priced and I got the ring back in better shape than when I originally received it. Im very pleased with the result and to still wear the ring he proposed with.

What a wonderful experience! I asked the jewelers at New Gild to build a ring for my engagement proposal. I had a loose diamond and I wanted a truly unique piece to accent it. Jen and her team could not have been more helpful. They designed a better ring than I could imagine for less money than I thought possible. My spouse and I went to New Gild to replace a stone in my antique snake ring (which were fashionable as engagement rings during the Victorian era and continued to be made into the early 20th Century). I came to New Gild Jewelers with a vintage sterling silver ring that had lost a moonstone from its setting. Another jeweler refused the job, saying the setting was a non-standard size. Kelsey suggested re-setting it with a rainbow moonstone, an idea that I loved. The first stone proved to be flawed, so he set it again for no extra charge. It was a pleasure to work with New Gild, and Im extremely pleased with the job they did. Would recommend whole-heartedly.

Our experience was great from start to finish. We started the custom ring process before the onset of COVID, continued fine-tuning the design with Jen remotely, and just picked up the finished ring this weekend. The last two Christmases I’ve been spoiled by my husband with beautiful custom pieces from New Gild. In 2018 I worked with Jen and Kelsey to create my dream right hand ring using a combination of my own diamonds and a few new ones. The design and craftsmanship were perfect - the end result stunning! In 2019 I fell in love with a Montana sapphire (my birthstone) that Jen posted on Twitter. I planted the hint with my husband and on Christmas morning was surprised to find the beauty under the tree. Today, I picked up the custom piece that highlights that gorgeous stone - it’s beautiful! Jen and Kelsey are masters at their craft and they are honest and trustworthy! My now husband and I found New Gild when we were looking for a jewelry store that sells unique engagement rings. We ended up custom ordering an engagement ring for me, which is incredibly beautiful and exactly what I was envisioning. We later ordered a custom wedding band to go with the engagement ring, and it is truly a work of art and goes seamlessly with the engagement ring. Jen made our wedding rings last September. They are sapphire, the second hardest of stones. She listened to us, and then designed these beautiful rings. The blue stone matches Dianes eyes, and my smaller sapphire is set in brushed palladium. We love them. And we love that we bought them from Jen, because we have known her for two years as great neighbor and community member, someone who volunteers and helps out a lot. Shes a good person, trustworthy, and you will not be disappointed if you stop in to talk jewelry with her. She sells beautiful work by local artist-jewelers, and if you are interested in designing something unique, she is wonderful to collaborate with. I picked this jewelry store mostly at random. I previously had one of my wife’s necklaces repaired at a large jewelry store that advertises everywhere, and they did a terrible job. I took it into New Gild, and showed it to the guy behind the counter. He looked at it and immediately said, “Oh! We can fix that.” Their work was superb, fast and less expensive than the large store.I looked around when I went to pick up the repaired necklace. The jewelry in the store is made by over 30 local artists. None of it is mass-produced. They have a wonderful range of sizes, styles and prices. I did pick up a pair of earrings for my wife, which I have yet to give her. After I asked a question, one of the jewelers showed me the steps that they use to make custom rings. It is incredibly complicated and way cool. I have a whole new appreciation for jewelry making.I will definitely continue using this store. I look forward to picking out something for my wife’s next birthday. I am looking for an excuse to have them make something that I help design.

We went to New Gild to create a custom engagement ring from an old jewelry set from my grandmother. My experience with New Gild was wonderful from my projects inception to its dazzling conclusion. Before my mother died she insisted that I take her big, bold over-the-top engagement ring / wedding band combo. I told her that I would never wear it as is, but if she would allow me to remove the gorgeous diamond and create a new pendant with it, then I would love to have it. Agreed!I brought the ring into the store and Jen assured me that she would take great care to work with me in designing a pendant that I not only would enjoy wearing, but would love (and remember my mom) every time I put it on. After we had drafed a preliminary design I returned to the store and suggested something a bit different. Jen was happy to oblige, and together we re-worked the design. When she contacted me in a few weeks she said, youre going to love it! And she was right. I LOVE New Gild Jewelers! I took my wedding ring in to change the setting. I told Kelsey my idea, and he exceeded my expectations! It took less than 2 weeks, and my ring is stunning! Ive also brought 2 pearl necklaces in to be re-strung. Jen said only one needed it, and gave me great advice on keeping my pearls beautiful! Another time I dropped in with a friend who needed an earring repaired. Jen fixed it in 5 minutes, and she wouldnt charge her! I wont go anywhere else. Fabulous owners! Best jewelry store!!!

Jen and Kelsey were exactly the people I was looking for to make a special project and a vision in my head become reality for my amazing wife. I presented them with a sort of gemstone challenge with some geode pieces of sentimental value to us and not only were they able to confidently discuss logistics of mounting such oddly shaped and somewhat fragile pieces as Id expect experienced experts in the field to do, but they also quickly interpreted and executed my vision for the shapes and aesthetics of the pieces without missing a beat. For many years Ive been meaning to either repair or replace my wifes broken wedding ring. I finally decided to make one myself with the help of a friend. I created it using the lost wax casting process. I was also lucky enough to acquire my mothers wedding ring in order to attach the diamond to my ring. The ring I made turned out well, but I didnt feel comfortable soldering my mothers crown on to it by myself. I contacted New Gild and was immediately put at ease by the two charming women I spoke with. One of them was Jen (the owner) and she told me that they are always excited about taking on creative projects. I met with Kelsey and laid out my idea. Absolutely phenomenal service. Cant say enough about the helpfulness of the staff, and their dedication to making sure things are done right, and in the interest of their customers. I brought in an heirloom diamond, and the staff there helped me to craft it into a unique and thoughtful engagement ring for my now fiancé. I ended up over sizing the ring, but New Gild resized it for free with a ridiculously fast turn-around time (just a few hours) so that she could have the ring in time to show family over the holidays. I have some favorite rings and a pair of old earrings that I wear hard. I dig in my garden in the rings, and wear the earrings every day. So, the prongs wear down, stones drop out, the rings need fairly frequent maintenance. These are older pieces of jewelry -- an engagement ring that was my husbands grandmothers, a sweet moonstone ring given to me by my mother for my high school graduation more than a half century ago. In other words, they have some value, both sentimental and other.So it matters a lot to me that the repairs are done professionally as well as sensitively, and Jen and Kelsey are both.They are also highly-skilled designers and gemologists, who can help you create an original design for any occasion. Their shop in Linden Hills also features the beautiful jewelry of local artists. You cant go wrong here.One thing to note. Its on the Northwest corner of the main Linden Hills intersection, so if youre thinking Bibelot or Clancys, you need to think across the street and a few steps north. Its a small stand-alone building, renovated into a beautiful design studio and shop. And theres parking galore.Im sporting my beautifully restored rings right now. They look shiny and fresh, even if my hand doesnt!

It was in a four prong setting. I really wanted a rose gold bezel. They drew up a mock by taking a picture of my ring and superimposing a rose gold bezel. I was thinking about adding a small ruby, my husbands birthstone, in a small space beside the sapphire. They did a mock up and we decided to go for it! My wedding ring is stellar! Looks like a different ring, but is absolutely perfect! The craftsmanship and dedication to perfection of just what the customer is looking for is beyond compare!I also had my ring re-sized and had little beads added to the inside of the bands to keep them from rolling. After a few weeks of wear, one of the beads needed to be adjusted and Kelsey took care of that in a matter of minutes when I just stopped in.Jen and Kelsey are a wonderful team and compliment each other perfectly. They truly partner with you whether youre looking for something contemporary or traditional or something else all together! You have to stop in and see the variety of beautiful and unique jewelry displayed not only from their collections, but from other talented artists as well! You will not be disappointed!

I inherited some jewelry that I wasnt particularly fond of but that I didnt want sitting in a safe deposit box. New Gild helped design some new pieces using the gold and gems that I already had. The results were stunning! The staff are personable and their designs are truly works of art! I could browse in the quaint shop for hours.

When I found New Guild Jewelers located in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis, I hit the jackpot. I had accidentally lost my husband’s wedding ring in the stressful flurry of him going into surgery and was very eager to replace it. Owners Jen and Kelsey, both talented artists and jewelers, have a keen eye for design and are careful listeners to help client’s select either ready-made or custom-designed jewelry. I was impressed with their ability to help me select the ring and Kelsey put a beautiful final finish on it. I trusted them both right away and it was so much fun working with them that I also had them resize three of my rings. I am so pleased with their work and I plan to return to have my original engagement ring restored. My husband loved his ring! I also love that their shop is a guild that features other local artists whose work deepens and broadens the variety of styles and unique designs offered for sale. This is by far the most impressive jeweler in the state! New Gild offers pieces from local designers and owner, Jen. Theyve recently resigned a number of pieces that I just wasnt wearing but, had a lot of personal meaning to me. Jen and Kelsey were able to reuse a lot of my stones, offer unique ideas, and now Im wearing my mothers wedding diamond everyday as a necklace that was just sitting in my jewelry box until I stepped into New Gild Jewelers.

I brought an onyx and diamond ring, with great sentimental value, in to New Gild for repairs. The onyx was badly cracked. I had taken my ring to several larger, big box jewelers, all of whom told me they could not be of any help. New Gild took me on, searched and found a replacement onyx, cut it to fit, and repaired and cleaned my ring. It looks better than it ever had and was completed at what seemed a terribly reasonable price. Im a fan.

I cannot overstate how awesome these people are! I was looking for an engagement ring but couldnt seem to find anything that fit our tastes. Based on my description of my girlfriend and what she wanted in a ring, Jenn found the perfect stone. New Gild really wants to know what theyre making and whom its for, and their approach absolutely pays off. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with the engagement ring they created. INCREDIBLE jewelers!!! I strolled into New Gild a few weeks ago while shopping around for a jeweler to create a custom piece from several old pieces of jewelry. Although I wasnt sure what kind of jewelry I wanted, designer Jen sat down with me and within minutes was able to work with me to design the perfect ring set to beautifully highlight the stones I had brought in. I was so impressed at her ability to zero in on the perfect, unique design! I picked up my ring set yesterday and couldnt be happier! From Jens design, Kelsey created a timeless piece of art...all from pieces I never even wore. I have worked with two other jewelers in the past who have created custom pieces for me, and New Gild is by far the best! What a great experience! I went to New Gild to have platinum earrings made for an anniversary, but was worried they would cost to much. Kelsey was really fun to work with and brought really great ideas to the design process, all well keeping my budget in mind. Ive never had custom jewelry made, Kelsey and Jen made the experience fun.

Love love love this shop! I brought my Wedding and Engagement rings in to them to alter the size about six months ago. They did a great job and were decently priced. A couple of weeks ago, I walked in with a jiggly Sapphire stone in my wedding ring. Kelsey tightened all my prongs and cleaned my ring for free!

I came to Jen and Kelsey with an antique ring and some ideas about how I wanted to personalize it. They were very responsive from the onset and offered me suggestions on how they could restore the ring while helping shape my ideas into something my fiancee loves. Kelseys work is incredible, especially in recreating the original millligrain that decorates the ring. I cant say enough good things about Jen and Kelsey! We have worked with them on so many pieces of jewelry and every single one has turned out perfectly. They not only designed my engagement ring and coordinating wedding bands but they also created a pendant to compliment a pair of earrings I already had, helped us re-vamp a childs sized ring by removing the stones and creating a new setting for them, and sold us a few other of their pieces that I (apparently) couldnt live without. We no longer live in MN but they will forever be our go-to jewelers. I even just mailed my wedding set to them to be re-sized rather than find someone near me to do it. So, so highly recommend!

Loved my whole experience with New Gild jewelers. Needed someone to resize and clean a platinum engagement/wedding ring set which I recently inherited. Read that New Gild has expertise working with platinum. Kelsey cleaned and resized the rings. He recommended adding tips to make sure the diamond stays secure which I did. The process beginning with intake person thru 2 weeks of work being done to picking up finished rings was seamless. I felt the cost was very reasonable and love supporting small businesses such as New Gild. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them!

This whole sordid tale started with a request to resize a new bracelet from a New York designer. I took it to a jeweller store in St. Paul and they messed it up to the point that the bracelet was now unbalanced and really had lost much of it’s beauty. When asked what I would like to do I responded by saying how much does the materials cost because I don’t want them to be out materials (which I thought was very generous). They told me $80. I sort of had an idea of how much 1 inch of chain would cost and I was a bit taken aback; but because I am a bad bargainer I agreed. So I left $80 poorer and with the bracelet I had been saving up for a special occasion now totally unbearable. I spent two months unsure what to do and then stumbled into New Guild going to brunch over Christmas. They didn’t mind answering my questions about how I might be able to set this particular stone etc. so I decided to ask them about the bracelet. When I called them they were actually angry on my behalf as I told them the whole story, and I felt seen for the first time in this process. Then they moved heaven and earth to make the fixing of the bracelet inexpensive so I wouldn’t feel upset every time I looked down at it. I went back in there last weekend and it cost $75 to get the bracelet redone AND a necklace restrung. I’m talking like over an hour of work and many many solders. It looks nothing like it did before and I haven’t taken it off since. I cannot recommend them enough. I am going back.
