No happy with Metro Carpet purchase of entire our 3500 Sq ft house and installation from several years ago. Its bugged me ever since, and why I feel the need to post. First off, paid extra and ordered the water-proof pad, during install I asked the install crew is this a water proof pad. They said no and Metro Carpet owner confirmed the error they provided the standard pad. Should off told Metro to pull it out and install the water-proof, but moving all the entire house furniture would have been a difficult task a 2nd time. Install issues: See photo, when rolling out the carpet to install, they scratched up our walls with a 3 foot long deep scratch. Buyer beware. Check you order and install if you buy from Metro Carpet. Obviously, its bothered me years later, even after the Metro Carpet gave me the cost difference back for installing the wrong pad.

Carrie and Butch are great. Very honest and transparent with pricing and carpet value. Went above and beyond to make sure carpet was installed promptly and professionally. Few minor improvements were quickly corrected. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

Carrie is a delight, shell help you understand your choices and what would fit your needs. Butch does the installs and is solid to work with. From purchase took 4 weeks to arrive then 2 weeks for install, for 6 weeks total. Happy with our selection and experience.

I highly recommend Metro Carpet Outlet. The owners are extremely generous and passionate about what they do. They made a donation to our local school and we got everything we needed the very day we asked! I plan to go to them for updating carpeting in my new home after meeting them and experiencing their service. This is a business that supports their community and gives back!

Bought carpet and underlayment from here to do a DIY install in our basement . Carrie and Butch were great resources to help me select the right options that worked for me. Will highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy good quality carpets and also to learn the details, which can get overwhelming. A great family owned place run by honest and nice people!

This is the place you want to go for flooring. Catie and Jim were both fantastic, and made the entire process effortless from start to finish. The atmosphere at the store was welcoming, and all my questions were answered without any attempt to upsell. They also had the best prices we found, and came in about 25% cheaper than a competing carpet chain for the exact same flooring. The installation went smoothly, looks great, and the installers left the place as clean as they found it. I could not be happier, and could not more highly recommend them.

We looked at multiple places for carpet to replace the carpeting in our living room. I wanted decent quality, but its not a huge area thats carpeted...I didnt want to spend a lot on special order. Their site is 100% correct shop anywhere, then shop us. Fantastic experience, Carrie knew what she was taking about! She had great recommendations. We left with carpet we love and spent less than I thought. Dont bother shopping everywhere... just go here!

If you are looking to add or replace carpet, I would highly recommend Metro Carpet Outlet. We purchased carpet from them 2 years ago and they did a fantastic job with the install. After a water issue this past spring, we hired Metro Carpet to replace the carpet pad and reinstall the salvaged carpet. The carpet looks brand new and no seams are visible. We will definitely buy from them again when it is time to redo another room.

Just went to metro carpet (Saturday 12:30pm) and the door was locked. Called and said they were open - open sign was flashing, but both doors were locked and no one came to the door when we knocked. There was a black truck there so it looked like someone might be there, but because we were unable to get in we weren’t able to check them out. Felt like we wasted our time.

Simply the best customer service and install I have experienced! Able to bring home samples and see what works with no pressure. In store staff where as good as it gets, really care and listen, they know carpet!Installation is happening right now and the crew is respectful, fast, and friendly.I love it!

After shopping around and getting several bids to carpet 2 bedrooms I settled on Metro Carpet. Their price was competitive, but the quality of the carpet I bought was top notch - way better than other carpet samples from two other competitors, and for less money! They were able to install the carpet within the same week as I was under a time crunch. The installer, Wilmer, was courteous, a diligent worker who was careful not to destroy the new paint and trim Id just finished; and he did a great job. I highly recommend this company! Best value for the dollar in town!

Great experience with Metro Carpet Outlet! Katie was a great help in selecting the best product for our home (we ended up going with a carpet she suggested over what I originally thought we wanted - a personal touch you wouldnt get from a bog box store). Jim came out to measure and two days later we had brand new carpet that completely transformed our bedroom! (I checked with the big box stores; they were a minimum of 8 weeks out on installation and couldnt beat the price I was getting from Metro Carpet.) Every part of my experience with Metro Carpet Outlet was outstanding. After pricing carpet at some big box retailers, I wasnt happy with the quality/prices I was finding so I came here. Catie was so helpful with finding a product that fit my budget and needs. Not only were their prices lower than the larger retailers, but the quality of product I got was much better than the other economy carpeting I had looked at.Jim came out to do the measurements and he was also great to work with. I was on a tight schedule to get the installation done but they worked with me and were actually able to install it a few days early - weeks before anywhere else could have done it. I know they are usually very busy and this cant always be done so be sure to plan further ahead than I did!The installers were courteous and careful of my freshly painted walls while installing the carpet. Catie and Jim run an amazing business and truly care about their customers. I look forward working with them again soon.

They scheduled us to be home today (Friday) from 8am to 9am. We changed our schedules. We started calling them after 9am and theyre not even open until 9:30. No one answered the phone until 9:42am. Turns out, they dont install the carpet themselves, they hire another company to install carpet. So, thanks to them making our appointment between 8am and 9am, and no one showing up until 10am, my husband missed an hour and a half of work. I was dropping my kids off for the day. Great communication. *sarcasm*We have four more rooms that need new carpet, guess well be going to Home Depot after all. Bad service.Since I cant reply to your comment, I will edit. If youre not open until 9:30, dont schedule carpet install appointments until later. This leaves your customers waiting and inconvenienced and with no one to call and is actually a reflection of YOUR business. Do not make appointments for 8am if youre not open until 9:30. This is your responsibility as YOU hired these people to install our carpet. Again, YOU inconvenienced us. We paid YOU, not the carpet installers.

The in-store service was excellent. We love the carpet and the the installers were amazing! They worked very hard, were respectful and when they left other than having the new carpet, you couldnt tell they had even been here. The place was spotless. Highly recommend!

Great service from Jim and Catie as well as the carpet installers who did a fantastic job on my entire downstairs! The best part about doing business with Metro Carpet Outlet was the quality carpet I received at such an unbeatable, affordable price! I ultimately decided to go with a much lighter color than what I wanted due to the great price. Several months have gone by and I am still very pleased about how plush the carpet is and the few drops of icky I have found from the rascals have come up without a problem. ;) Going to start saving up for the entire upstairs now.

The current Owners are struggling - and it shows. Selection is low - they are not responsive as the prior Owners - too bad becuase it is great idea - but they need to be more efficient and helpful. They have carpet you can buy that is in stock - decent price - just make sure to monitor every step of the transaction.

Everyone I worked with in the process was wonderful. I am so happy with how my floors turned out!

Carpet was cut differently than we agreed to when purchased (seam was supposed to run down length of room (under furniture), but instead, they cut and sent two shorter pieces which resulted in the seam running down the middle of the room. Had this been explained at the time of purchase, we would have gone elsewhere for our purchase. Despite reassurances by Jim and the installer, it IS very visible and will likely get worse over time. Additionally, despite providing exact measurements of a ramp/transition that they needed to match for where the carpet meets the tile floor of another room, the ramp they brought did not match and we now have an uneven drop in the carpet in the middle of the room (primary area you walk through to enter the room).Bottom line, save your money and the hassle and go elsewhere. Incredibly poor communication all around - between Metro Carpet and customer, Metro Carpet and their installer, and then communicating with installer before and during installation was a challenge. I dont have a problem with language barrier, but things we discussed and I agreed to were not done until it was too late and we were out $$. Going through this place seems like a good idea until they have your deposit, your flooring ripped up and you have no other choice other than settle for a poor quality product/install.

Jim the owner came to our house and looked at and measured our basement for carpeting. We told him we had water damage a few years ago and then installed a sump. Based on that he gave us an estimate and we signed a contract, The next day he called and said we would be charged an extra $150 for tack strips, which are normally included and that the fitters would walk off the job if there was any mold. We were very unhappy the price and conditions went up after we had signed a contract. I dont trust people who add extras after a contract is signed. Would not go back and would tell people to beware.
