One of the best stores to buy liquor at within Minneapolis that isnt in the suburbs. Prices are overall more inexpensive and your money will go further. And it is locally owned by nice people. But they do seem to be closed right now, Ive gone by a couple times in the past few days and the door is barred. Hope they will reopen :(

Best liquor store in the area, maybe the whole city, maybe the whole state! The family that owns it is very nice, especially Betty. Even though she is super shy and bashful she still helped me find the Mad Dog 40-40 I was looking for. I have been there many times and the liquor I buy there always gets me feeling suuuper yahooo! Great place.

I dont even know where to start, this place has my heart. I am not sure if the owners are an absolute asset or liability, either way protect this national treasure (Cedar) at all costs. Cedar Riverside Liquor should be a national landmark, the cultural experience is second to none. Cedar is a place I proudly can call home.The homeless guy Mark outside is a legend, if you see him please donate to his cause. No undergrad can truly call himself a U of M student until he walks into this shrine and hands them a piece of paper saying I am 21, even though we both know, they are not. These cashiers deserve the medal of freedom for the service they provide without the ability to speak English. These people are my family, and I will lay my life on the line for the employees and owners. Since my real family abandoned me I can only rely on Cedar for the support, in the form of an incredible selection of booze, to get me through these hard times. I will do anything to make sure this place stays afloat, and sure I might have a drinking problem but Cedar doesnt care and I love them for that. Cedar has shaped me into the person I am today, without it I would be lost. I learned the power of perseverance and commitment when making a blackout trip to the Riverside.

Dignified store were the owners are nearby, and the guys behind the desk are still alive behind the eyes. What capitalism looked like 40 years ago. I dig going here and the no fuss laid back service. Selection is decent, prices are average - location is perfect.

Used to be a great liquor store til the store started to double or triple charge people on a normal basis, they pocket money from people, only an employee knows where certain beer and liquor are in the store, family member of the liquor store is a huge snitch for his own wrong doing so college students and all normal buyers dont use cedar riverside or your money will be gone faster then you know it use zipps liquor its bigger and better and dont dont do cedar liquor store does

Just rude staff to be honest. dont know a real ID from a fake one. Need 3 guys to come and looks at a real ID?? just an uncomfortable experience and I make sure to go somewhere else

Good prices, very helpful staff. In terms of selection, its no total wine, but they will almost always have what youre looking for. If not, one of the staff will happily help you find something similar and give their best recommendations.

They have an interesting selection of craft beers.

Its a small liquor store with a good variety. But their prices are so much better than anything in the area!! They often have sales on some things. Friendly staff too.

This area is populated with Somalis people. The money tranfer place on Cedar is only for Somali money transfer even though they have a Western Union sign on sidewalk
