While on a business trip I passed through Minneapolis and decided to stop in South Lyndale Liquors. I had previously seen the reviews and bourbon selection on line. I must say this place is awesome as they had a great selection of private store picks, excellent prices, and friendly staff. They even hooked me up with a very nice allocated bottle. Made my day and I plan to visit again if I am ever in the area. Very Neat Place!! Thank You!!

This is the kind of local business that makes you really appreciate south Minneapolis. Awesome selection of wine, beer, and spirits. If its a slower evening, ask to sample a bottle or two of whiskey - theyre really knowledgeable and friendly here. They often have a variety of samples on Thursdays or Fridays. A really great place.

Even though SLL is a long way from my home, it has become one of my favorite places to restock my supplies. Their wine selection is varied, accessible, and reasonably priced. We are often helped by some friendly, unpretentious, and knowledgeable staff member.

Exelent service, great selection. I go out of my way to shop here. They have a swath of huge selections, from wine to craft beers, from 21yo scotch to the finest rum. If you ask, you can taste most of their spirits before you buy for the higher end products. Hopefully they will open up their tastings soon as they are highly enjoyable in a ticket only private space.

This place caters to all kinds of people, both collectors of exotic spirits and people needing the classics. Their wine selection seemed extensive as did their craft beer selection but I cant speak too much to that as I am not much of a beer and wine drinker. My attention was given to the liquor section, which I can describe as a candy shop for people looking for particular brands of liquor. They had an extensive stock that was well organized and covered some of the more obscure types of alcohol and brands as well. It was a great experience as well as the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Overall 5 stars experience and stock.

Pretty awesome place to get any type of liquor needed! The staff was super helpful and went the extra mile for me. The online ordering is extremely convenient and all you need to do is just need to pull up in the parking lot. Once parked, call the store and give them the order number and they will drop it in to the back of your car. There was a wide variety of beers to chose from ranging all styles and types of beer. The liquor selection was very good and wine selection was top notch. The store had a great vibe going too, the employees were super relaxed and was willing to help out whenever you needed. The best part was how fast the check out lines moved along with the willingness to start a conversation with you was very nice. The store is in a great location off Lyndale and only a few miles away from many great shopping centers. I could probably spend the whole day inside the store just so I could be able to browse through the huge selection and inventory they had on hand. I was looking at multiple other liquor stores for a certain type of beer and South Lyndale Liquors was the only place with each specific beer I needed. The staff makes it very easy to buy large quantities of beer because of the easy pickup and drop off selection. Great Store I will be back again!!

The staff here are the best at what they do - they always give the best recommendations and have extremely reasonable prices. They took (and are still taking) COVID very seriously which I appreciate. If youre not absolutely sure what you want but have some idea - theyll be able to guide you in the right direction.

I tried a beer I really liked in NC. I tried Total Wine, but I had no luck. Then I did a little internet browsing and found out about this place. They had what I needed and more. Holy moly the selection is massive especially for the size of the building. Folks at the register were awful friendly. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the old fella on the sales floor. He asked every white person around me if they needed help, but avoided speaking with me. Regardless I found what I needed after a little more browsing. Ill continue to come here when I need to find more weird things that I cant find at the big box stores. My experience was still wonderful and would highly recommend going here.

I have been very impressed with how efficient their order and pickup process is. For being a local liquor store, I was able to order something, change my mind after I hit checkout and they managed my mistake flawlessly. I pulled up to the marked spot and had my order delivered to my car in less than 3 minutes, the experience is comparable to the big box stores like Total Wine. But Total Wine is not in my neighborhood so Im very happy to support a local store like South Lyndale Liquors! Thanks for keeping us safe.

I think this liquor store should be passed by not because of the selection which I will reluctantly say is better than decent. You should avoid this liquor store due to their policy if not accepting CASH .. Seriously!!They are selling booze but heaven forbid a passerby or visiting friend of a nearby resident should walk in to their business and only have a hundred or so in cash in their shorts pocket and want to buy a single beer...oh no, cash is NO GOOD HERE!PLEASE avoid and let them know they are not that special!

I love to support this neighborhood store. Prices are comparable to the big box store that shall not be named. Plus I use the 10% off coupon from receipts from Kowalskis. And my loyalty points. Prices are not dirt cheap, and its hit or miss on the friendliness of staff, but the selection is amazing for the size of the store and you feel good keeping money in the community.

Best liquor store Ive been to. They have a great selection of all the major categories, and very knowledgeable staff. Its been great to be able to go in, say youre looking for something new, and have a staff member take 20 minutes (or more) to talk to you and let you try some samples to find something you truly like. Highly recommended!

Parking is challenging and getting there from the south is difficult. (Google takes you through the neighborhood behind them.) But the staff is friendly and the selection is quite good. What I also would try to avoid is the horrific Minneapolis liquor sales tax which is over 10%. Not the fault of this store, but something to know going in.

Customer service is great. I wanted to buy a bottle of wind for a good friend of mine but I am not a wine connoisseur. The gentleman in the store was really nice about helping me find a nice reasonably priced bottle of wine. She loved it!

I love this place. Its not particularly trendy or a destination place, but I always leave with something Im genuinely excited about. This is pretty much strictly for wine btw. Some days I walk in and I know what I have in mind and one of their staff will give me recommendations that are both deeply informative and distinctively personal. Some days I have no clue what I want and I walk out with something totally random and delightful. Have I loved every single bottle Ive walked away with? No. But thats not really the point. For me, the point is to have a wine selection thats fun, interesting, varied and unpretentious. They have stuff most places dont have. They have stuff every place has. Stop by, look around, and talk to someone. It will be fun.

The workers are very snarky and borderline rude. You get the feeling that they be think theyre doing the customers a favor by letting them shop there. I dont once remember ever getting a thank you from them after making a purchase.

Ive been going to South Lyndale Liquors for years. Great selection of beers and fair prices. However, my recent visit may be the last. The rude and totally dismissive Wise*** has given me reason to patronize my neighborhood liquor store more exclusively. There they will actually take 2 seconds to answer my question about how much something costs, knows or will find the answer to a question about their inventory without complaining about not having time and give me a box when I ask for it without snapping thats why we double bag. I dont want your double bag and I dont want your attitude.

Absolute favorite liquor store around! Dog friendly and they always have a treat for my dog so he loves going there. Great selection, super friendly and knowledgeable staff and good sales-especially the wine sale. Highly recommend for all your beer, wine & liquor needs!

My favorite liquor store in the area. They have the widest selection of anywhere else nearby, especially for mixology. And it feels like a real store not a corporate monstrosity nor a dump in the wall.

The best store and selection in town!

This is a great place to shop for liquor. Outstanding selection of beer and whisky, which is what I normally shop for. Great selection of other spirits as well. They offer sampling of whisky and other drinks, you only have to ask, and there is usually some promotional tasting going on as well. Staff is super helpful. There are other liquor stores, perhaps fancier looking, but I prefer this one by far.

Cant say enough about this place. Might be my favorite in the whole midwest.

This place is fantastic.1.) they have an excellent liquor selection. I am a whisky drinker and they have a fantastic selection of scotch, bourbons, American whiskey, rye, and Irish.2.) Samples, for the first time ever I was offered to sample the bottles I was thinking about buying to make my final choice. Especially when buying a good bottle of scotch it is a huge help to get to make sure the one you purchase is the one you actually want.3.) Even with the samples they keep a relatively competitive price. Some of the national liquor stores may have the absolute lowest price but they have very competitive prices and I like their service and shopping locally.
