Came here for a double date with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. The appetizers were all amazing. The calamari was so tasty! The kale artichoke dip was out of this world! I got mussels for my dinner and loved it while my partner had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. They have an extensive drink menu too so everyone in your party is bound to find something they like. I am curious to try out the brunch now honestly. Great Euro style cuisine with a gorgeous roof top and outdoor patio. Highly recommended folks!

Best brunch food I’ve had in a long time! So may delicious options and everything I ate was so tasty. The line was long but it was so worth it and the waiter was amazing! Try the breakfast corn dogs and the French toast. You won’t regret it! This place will be in my restaurant rotation. We stopped here on our way to Green Bay from Chicago for lunch. The location was excellent and very close to our route. The atmosphere was nice with good indoor and patio seating options. The service was stellar, friendly and attentive. The spicy chicken slider appetizer was a big hit. A solid kick for sure but super crunchy and sticky. Very well done! The tear apart bread bread app was full of amazing flavors and a pleasant surprise. The sprocket burger was great with the fried egg. Yummy! My super picky wife loved her chicken cobb salad, too. If youre looking for a good lunch go here. Youre welcome.

Stopped in for lunch with the kids. The Euro theme is what interested us.The Lux Tater Tots were an utter delight of flavor. Very tasty and unique. The meatloaf was great as well. They also have decent kids meals (that come with fruit and vegetable) as well as a great beer selection. We finished the meal with a scoop of Vanilla Caramel ice cream.Be patient as all places are hurting for staff right now. Despite this, though, we were well taken care of.

The most incredible meal I have had! The salmon was bursting with dynamic spices and it had a variety of vegetables that all blended well with the dish and chickpeas. The cocktails were delicious and the carrot cake is huge and tasty as well. Excellent meal and great value. I also tried the meatloaf which also had interesting flavors. Definitely a cut above other places, even in Chicago (where I live). And with outdoor seating, it made the experience fantastic.

Top notch experience as always.I thought we would be disappointed by the limited menu, but we ended up loving the selections.The pull-apart cheese bread and tater-tots were amazing! We also had the mussels and the meatloaf (there’s a name suggestion for your punk-funk band).The cocktails might have been the highlight! The Bloody Mary was so good as was the mule, but the Paloma might have been the best of all!

We were seated immediately. Had to learn how to download the menu on our phones. (Something new for us) Breakfast was hot and very good. I have to mention the restroom. Stalls are made out of reclaimed flooring. It looked awesome. Very nice place.

Delicious food for any meal! Walnut smash burger was SO good I came back the next night for dinner to order it again. Nashville hot chicken sliders were good but 5 alarm hot. Short rib fajita hash was so delicious for breakfast. Outdoor second floor patio is so cute. Paloma was refreshingly delicious and great beer menu. We will be back in a heartbeat!

Celebrated a special occasion with brunch from here. First time visit for our party. Very short wait for Sunday brunch. Lots of seating available both inside and out. Very urban chic design. Food and drinks were good. Price was not bad for Third Ward. Plates ran approximately $15 and drinks were at least $8. The main reason I am giving such a high rating is service. Every staff member was very friendly and there were lots of them available. Our server, Sarah, was an absolute delight and made the experience fabulous. I would definitely recommend and will go back.

This place was AWESOME, easily the highlight of the trip. The burger was juicy and delicious. They had a great beer menu and offer flights. The fries were good, not great. The atmosphere was really great too, both inside and on the rooftop patio. Our service was excellent too. Would come back here any time.

1st time there. Nice casual atmosphere, scenery, sat on a breezy patio above with comfy stools, server was amazing. Very nice. We had to wait a while for our order. The food was okay. My fries were cold and my burger was a bit thick and greesy, and the appetizer bread was overdone. Granted they are shorthanded and did the best they could.

We came Saturday morning and are seated at the roof top seating which is perfect! Both the scenery and COVID friendly.I had their ham and bier cheese omelet. Melted cheese made the omelet really smooth and silky. The service is really nice too. People there are super friendly and helpful. And the serving speed is perfect too. Definitely recommend it for a chill weekend brunch time.

Amazing experience! Best chicken and waffles I have ever had. It came with a sweet but very spicy sauce that made everything come together. I also had a European-style cappuccino that tasted incredible, although the milk was frothed more like a latte than a cappuccino. Overall a great brunch!

My daughter and I went for bloody Mary’s and lunch. Everything was very good. Our server Kayleigh N. was fantastic! Her service went above and beyond our expectations! Because of her we will be back!

Nice restaurant in the 3rd Ward of Milwaukee. The restaurant had a great roof top sitting area which is wonderful to have a meal and enjoy the day. The food is average at best but the service is great.Hope this restaurant gets on bended knee and appreciates their staff.

Delicious food, outdoor seating, this was the perfect location for an outing with friends or family. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and they conducted themselves in a professional manner. Also if youre looking for a great summer drink the passion fruit paloma was excellent.

Such a beautiful morning in Milwaukee, topped only by our visit to Cafe Benelux for brunch.

One of my favorite places to go when I am downtown! Especially when I have friends or family in town. I went over the weekend and our servers name was Sydney, and she was the best! She was very attentive and knowledgeable and kind. All of the food she recommended was spot on. I cant wait to go back

Day is beautiful but cold, waited 40 minutes to be sat outside. Because the sun is out i made the best of it. Asked for a coffee it was bitter, burnt, cold, old. Asked for a new cup was a little better. Food arrived maybe 20 min after ordering so not too bad of a wait but it was cold. Nothing on my plate was warm or even room temp flavor was good but I wish I had hot/warm food.

The food was all delicious and service was spot on. I had the rocket salad and could not eat it all. The tomato basil soup was thick and rich. I will definitely return.

This is our second visit here. Presentation is fantastic. The variety of the food terrific. And the quality of the taste is top shelf. The service is wonderful. It is clean. And a pretty bright area of downtown. If you dont want your old scrambled eggs and bacon and sausage and pancakes, come here for creativity and a favor to your taste buds.

A hot coffee mug and a cold glass of Bloody Mary situated nearby one another on our waitresss tray and the next thing, glass shattered and an unfortunate spill occurred. Nice to know other wait staff lent a hand for the clean-up and wipe down. All that crazy science stuff aside, service and food were great. Highly recommend the Brunch Sausage Corndogs (comes w/ syrup on the side) and the Bloody Mary: Stinking Rose. Garnishes to the Bloodys were tasty. Beignets were a bit on the tough-side, but not bad. I will give them another try next time along with the burgers and mimosas.

Very good place for casual dining while downtown. The calamari was served with fries and dipping sauce. They were good without the accompanying fries but I understand this is a pub environment so it was fine. The burgers taste charbroiled and were very good. We ordered the Mac n cheese as well and it was really good. We also ordered the kale artichoke dip which was amazing with garlic toast. Plenty of different places to sit inside and outside.

One of my favorite places in MKE. Great brunch, lunch, dinner, or just drinks. If the weather is nice the rooftop is the place to be but the whole place has a good vibe. Ive been going here for years but after 14 months of social distancing missed it so much that I drove up from Chicago just to have brunch!

The ambiance is very good.You can either sit inside outside or at the rooftop.The staff is very friendly know their Menu.The food portion is good for one person it not large.Food was an average tasting not to special.We liked it it I can’t do more then three stars.Parking is on the street and it’s paid.

The dome we reserved was beautiful and we enjoyed the Moscow Mules and Hot Toddies we ordered, though it would have been nice to have the ratios on a paper somewhere. We had to make all the drinks ourselves and had to guess at the syrup/lime juice/vodka ratios for a few minutes before perfecting the drink. When we asked the server she didnt have any idea how to make them. The dome itself never got hot but with your coat on it was comfortable enough. If youd like to feel toasty Id recommend bringing a blanket and drinking fast. After the dome we went to eat downstairs. We were put at a table that got a solid blast of cold air every time someone came though the entrance and the exit. The food was honestly bad and we were very surprised by it. I had the meatloaf that I didnt care to finish- it tasted like chili meat left at the bottom of the pot. I tasted the steak as well which had a strange sweet flavor. An hour after eating my husband got extremely sick from his meal. Overall the dome was very enjoyable but the restaurant itself was a huge disappointment.

If you’re looking for amazing brekkie in the third ward stop by Benelux — and come back at night for frites… and beer… (ask for Kayleigh if you want an amazing server) !!

In town for a wedding and headed here during brunch! The black coffee is so flavorful. We ordered the French toast and the chorizo breakfast burrito! The food was to die for! The French toast is the perfect balance of sweetness and the burrito has a little kick. Aaron was phenomenal!!!! 10/10 recommend and would come here again!

Kayleigh has served my family many times over the last two years and she’s always incredible! We stopped in last week and it was great to see her! She always has a smile on her face and is very attentive. The food is amazing as well! 10/10 would recommend!

I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered some Nashville Chicken and a waffle made from the souls of cheddar bay biscuits. Also corn dogs masked as sausages covered in corn bread. I was highly surprised; for attempting to get out of my shell and try new foods I was unabashedly pleased at this. Prices are pretty good too. Definitely coming back after the pandemic passes and I can bring my friends. Also the servers are super sweet and professional. Meredith is badass!

I had such an amazing experience. Food was great and our server Sydney was a fantastic women. She always had a smile on her face and was very pleasant. She always asked if we needed anything and took great care of us.

Always a good spot, the downtown location has a nice bar with diverse beer options, an outdoor space, and some of the better food you can find around even by 3rd Ward standards.

You just have to put this place on your list. Such a great vibe with a wonderful menu. Food was amazing and staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend to any and all ages with different tastes. They had something for everyone.

Cafe Benelux is one of those new wave of restaurants that put a lot of effort into looking flashy but when it comes time to deliver, the food is uninspired and the service is terrible. I was shamelessly given this beer in the photo while at the bar - notice the tower of head at the top, which when brought up to the bartender she gave no acknowledgement that this amount of head in a beer is ridiculous, and no offer to repour. She offered to give me a spoon and cup to scoop it off.I can look past these little things, if it weren’t for my meal which contained a lot of fancy words on the menu, but amounted to a bland burger with cheese on an over-buttered brioche bun, and soggy sweet potato fries.It’s easy to get caught up in the fancy sounding words on the menu and the admittedly well-done interior decorating of this place and be tricked into thinking you are receiving a high quality experience. Don’t fall for it. Save yourself the money on this overpriced Applebee’s and walk across the street for some better fare.

The fries are nothing like Belgian or Dutch fries so that was disappointing. The chicken and waffle is tasty and so is the belt & A sandwich (but they forgot to put the egg on it). Our waitress Sydney was great even though I could tell she was very busy as the place was full and she had a lot of tables.

Café Benelux fits in perfectly with the Third Ward. An outdoor space at street level, a roof deck, and indoor seating gives everyone plenty of seating options. A wide variety of excellent food choices, Im a fan of the pull apart cheese bread and the mussels. Plenty of beer choices, too. Highly recommended whether you are in the Third Ward or heading directly to the Benelux Café to eat.

Roof top seating and bloody Mary’s on a beautiful summer Saturday. Hard to beat! They don’t take reservations and it was quite crowded at lunch so get there early if you don’t want to wait.

Worst service Ive ever experienced at a restaurant. Our server knew nothing about the menu and only stated she doesnt eat here. Upon being brought to a bar stool and bar bench table on the top deck, we requested to be sat at one of the 4 open tables up there. We were told we could not sit there. We asked an additional 2 times to move. One of us has back issues and the stools were hurting and uncomfortable. We explained this to the waitress and both times they refused to allow us to move. The same 4 tables remained open the entire time we were there. The last time we asked to move, the waitress said she had to speak with the hostess. When she came back she was holding our food and told us if we wanted to move we had to be put on a wait list. I asked how that works when she is holding our food. We were told we can take it or stay where we were. We immediately asked for to-go boxes. I will never return after being treated so poorly. On the way out, there were also several open tables inside as well as outside on the sidewalk. We visited the Public Market after leaving. 30 minutes later we went back to our parked vehicle and the same tables on the upper deck were still being unused. Our order was also incorrect and they charged me for items I did not order. Stay away.

Cafe Benelux has the best brunch! Especially great rooftop vibes. We recently celebrated an anniversary and Kayleigh was our server. She was so wonderful and genuine. She even brought us some champagne to celebrate.

Excellent food and beer selection. Its one of our favorite places for breakfast and brunch food. The grapefruit sage brunch party is amazing! Kayleigh is the kindest server and she is definitely one of the reasons we keep coming back!

Walked in waited 10 minutes to be seated since we requested rooftop seating, it was too chilly so we requested to be moved again and the waitress was so kind and understanding and sat us back inside. Food is delicious!

Great place! Food was fantastic. Had the mushroom hash and the short rib hash. Both where FANTASTIC! The potatos in the hash where an au gratin style. Never had before and loved!!

We ate on the front sidewalk area on a rainy day. Drinks good, sumac salmon good & meatloaf good but a bit salty. Service was good but a bit slow. Not a problem as we werent in a hurry.

We were seated immediately and our server Makala was amazing. I pointed out that my potatoes and eggs were cold and she immediately took care of it and her manager came over and talked to us to make sure everything was taken care off properly. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We went to Café Benelux for Sunday brunch. It only took about 15 minutes to get seated outside. It seemed great but we were out on the East St. Paul side which feels very disconnected from the rest of the restaurant. There’s no music or good background noise.Despite that we really enjoyed our Milwaukeean bloody Mary’s. There’s just enough spice and the garnish is tasty.We had the pretzel Benedict which was good but could have used some salt and pepper. There was none at the table for COVID reasons. We get it. In addition we had the Nashville chicken and waffles which was also good. It had a good amount of heat and the syrup added some harmony to it.We weren’t in love with our dishes but we definitely liked them. I’d go back to try more dishes and hopefully get a seat location with more energy.

I don’t like beer, but Kayleigh convinced me that means I just haven’t had the right beer yet. She was right. My wife and I come here almost every weekend. Great appetizers

Probably the coolest place in town. Does everything well; breakfast, beers, drinks, great menu, great service. In a very cool neighborhood too.

When we arrived, we were told there would be a 20-30 minute wait. Not a big deal, so we went to the bar where the service was fine. When we were alerted that our table was ready, we were brought to our booth and sat there for over 20 minutes with zero interaction from any staff member. We saw someone ask a waitress to take our table, so we were hopeful, but she never came to even say hello. We waited some more and then decided to leave. We wouldn’t have left if it weren’t for the clusters of employees standing around talking to one another and ignoring the customers.
