All positive things to say about Dr Yap. He is timely, kind, and knowledgeable. He is even good at explaining things in lay terms. I feel confident with him as my eye doctor :) The entire team was super nice! Especially the place where you choose your glasses. I had an issue with picking up and they went out of their way to ensure I was able to get my glasses on my day off including bringing them to another location. I believe the lady’s name was Iris. She went above and beyond for me. 10/10 service!

Dr and assistant were both fine. I dont like that my prescription had to be printed out in the eyeglass store. Assistant was nice.

It was also very convenient having an optical store onsite where I found frames I liked and ended up purchasing two pairs of prescription glasses using my new prescription.

Dr. Shriver completed Lasik eye surgery on me over a month ago and he is the absolute best! I had worn contacts since I was kid and it’s life changing to be able to just wake up and see. At my initial consultation through my post-op visits, he has been so personable, kind, and willing to answer all my questions. The procedure itself was quick, totally painless, and I was able to see right away. Since then my vision only improved and now I feel like I can see so perfectly. I consistently recommend the Lasik procedure and specifically with Dr. Shriver to all my friends and family. It’s a very worthwhile procedure and all the staff at Middlesex Eye Physicians are just great. Lasik is like a miracle to me, I could never thank you enough Dr. Shriver!

Dr. Raji is the Best!!! I had cataract surgery done 3 years ago in both eyes. I will never forget after my first (right eye) cataract surgery when I first opened my eyes and WOW Perfect, Clear vision. Had the left eye done 2 weeks later and to this day No glasses. Dr. Raji is thorough, caring and so easy to work with. My husband just had his cataract surgeries and he is doing Fantastic. Please check her out if you need an ophthalmologist. I started seeing Dr. Frederic Fishbein in 1982. His practiced merged with Middlesex Eye Physicians at a certain point. He retired in 2006. Im still going to MEP 15 years later. That should tell you something.

Dr mascarinas always takes the extra time to sit with you after your examination and go through any changes in your health and more specifically eyesight. Despite the fact that she is always extremely pressed for time she is willing to take as long as necessary to make sure you are able to convey all of your concerns. The doc office didnt clarify about the vision insurance. Even though Aetna vision is not supported, they went ahead with service and used medical insurance and I ended up with HUGE BILL. Be clear about your insurance coverage and proceed only if you are clear about your expected bill.

Dr Shriver was rude and abusive and hostile on a phone call when I called to renew a prescription. The person responsible for sending the renewal to the pharmacy did not follow up with me after 3 separate requests. I had no idea that the Rx was not going to be renewed.

Everyone I dealt with at the Westbrook office and the Middlesex office were very cordial and helpful. There is a overall good selection of glasses to choose from. I have worked for an ophthalmologist, in the past, and was very pleased with my experience. How the optical department helped me choose the glasses that looked good on me and making sure they were fitted properly.

I have been coming to Middlesex Eye for over 20 years, and have always had a great experience. The staff is helpful and more than willing to work with you when it comes to you setting up your appointment. I couldnt imagine going to another eye doctor.

I went in for surgery on a Friday with 20/200 without glasses and now three days later I have better than 20/20, almost 20/15. Surgery took less than ten minutes and I felt immensely better after a long nap. I highly recommend Peter A. shriver, D.O. and Middlesex Eye Physicians as a whole.

My first visit. The wait was much longer than expected, but apparently there were unusual circumstances causing it that morning. Found the Dr. very personable, and fully aware of my condition. Options were considered and a plan of action put in place.

Good exam with recommendation for real glasses this time as readers arent doing the whole job. Elected bifocals to help with distance too. Also addressed eye injury and issued prescription eye drops. The technician at the optical counter was very helpful with the selection and fitting process. She also fixed the broken nose piece on my sunglasses.

Dr. Yap is very friendly, helpful and efficient when it comes to your appointment. The other elements of the office aren’t as friendly as Dr. Yap but overall a decent experience

I thought both the doctor and his assistant were great with my daughter. She is only 3 and between her age and her stubborn personality, I knew she was going to be a challenging patient to say the least. They were able to get her to cooperate enough to get through the examination so I could have peace of mind that her condition was under control for now and know what I needed to worry about in the next few years.

Dr. Shriver and EVERYONE at Middlesex Eye are awesome. Two surgeries went exactly as explained. New eyes - new prescription glasses. Best ever: when my sunglasses werent quite right, they sent them back without question and within two weeks the glasses were in and perfect for outdoor and driving vision, with a little reading thrown in. I highly recommend anyone there.
