Do not buy this brand. Sales Personnel are extremely quick to reply to inquiries and calls, but after you buy its a whole new side. Zero techsupport service, you will wait a good 2 to 3 days for a 1st reply into your inquiry and then another 2 days after your reply. We are very sorry to have purchased from these folks despite a very good price. We have the proof to backup this well deserved review. People, do your homework before buying.
I had emailed Ricoma about an error I was receiving on my EM-1010. I let them know I was getting a color change time out error. I let them know I had tried what I knew to check and was at a loss on how to fix the machine and that I needed help since I had orders that need to go out.I received a call from Roberto within 3 hours of my email. He went over a couple of things for me to try. It only took a short time and we had the machine up and running.I want to thank Roberto for the excellent service and for being so quick at getting back with me. I went through Ricoma because of the training and customer service from the company. Osman was the trainer for the online session. He was very very patient with us noobies. We got through the session and upon leaving the session, I was less intimidated with my 1501. I will need some practice on the machine no doubt, but now I have a better understanding of embroidery and of the 1501. Osman did an amazing job. Ricoma is lucky to have him on their roster.
I have just started using my EM-1010 and I am delighted! The ease of use plus the quality of the production is superb. Any questions I have had so far have been answered quickly and successfully. My mind is just racing with all the projects that I want to do!
This is Jay with Pride Truck Wash. You sold us a Ricoh RI 1000. We paid cash for it up front. It worked for nearly a month making only 500 shirts before breaking down. Now the machine is still down for 8-9 days pending warranty process…. We need you to stand behind the machine and help us get it running again. We have lost thousands of dollars in revenue. We love your embroidery machines but this printer is killing us. Please help. No more excuses
Ive been using my MT1501 almost two years I believe and love it!! I recently had an issue, sent tech support an email and recent a phone call from Giancarlo the same day. He not only patiently talked me through the issue but made sure I completely understood everything he was having me do. The support Ive had with this company is excellent!!

I am very happy with the support that Ive gotten from Ricoma Miami office. Although sometimes it takes a couple minutes to speak to someone, I never end a call without feeling like my issues (user error >_< ) wasnt resolved. Tech support, WOW what a team! They guide you over the phone and send you instructional videos Instantly if needed. Also provide Video Chat support. I attended a training for my new Ricoma machine by video. The instructor did a good job at the training. I had trouble with the tension on my machine and had to fix that before I could do the cap exercise. The instructor was very polite, helpful, and understanding with my situation.

I’ve had a wonderful experience with Ricoma, across the board. Their tech team was able to answer some very specific, uncommon questions specific to my needs before I decided to purchase my MT-1501. Once ordered and fabricated, the machine arrived packaged impeccably well in a high quality wooden crate that assured the machine survived shipping in pristine condition. Ricoma included an entire toolbox of spare parts & tools that would be needed for assembly, maintenance, and general operability. Minor assembly was easy using their videos, and after watching their YouTube series on the details of operating machine, I was off and running.I did manage to fudge something up in my first day of operating the machine; I thought something was broken on the machine. Distraught, I made my first call to Ricoma support and was pleasantly surprised to get an extremely knowledgable person on the line within minutes. The tech support person, Sasha, diagnosed the problem immediately and sent me a video on how to fix it; I was back up and running right away. Her service was A+ across the board.I originally went with Ricoma because of their reputation for support videos & service, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised that they have exceeded expectations in every aspect of my experience. These people care about their product and their customers in a way that most companies in this world do not, and it’s apparent from the moment your machine arrives. I couldn’t recommend Ricoma enough!
Ricoma is awesome! We expanded our business from one embroidery head to three with the purchase of our machine. What has impressed me the most is their customer service. When we call tech support (which we have, because we are still on a learning curve with a new machine) we get immediate help and knowledgeable response. In my business we deal with a lot of machines and technical support teams. I have NEVER experienced such good customer support. This is a lost art in todays world so KUDOS to Ricoma.
I wrote this review 4 years ago and it still stands true today. Since then, we did add two more machines- anothe MT and an AWESOME SWD-1501.Support is only a phone call or email away. We LOVE our RICOMA family and friends! Were still on track to retire in a couple years. Cant wait to work in this room full time!We ordered our Ricoma MT-1501 in December 2016. We received it in January 2017. We LOVE it!Juan was our salesman. He was able to get me approved with great financing! After it was all set up, we were a little intimidated. We took the live online TRAINING class with Sofia, who is a great teacher. She answered all our questions and taught us a lot in one day. The SUPPORT is AWESOME! Anytime we had a problem or question, someone was available to answer seven days (and late nights) a week! Their SERVICE is OUTSTANDING! Whether with Skype/FaceTime or in person, the techs are GREAT!They are all trained in patience! In the last year, we learned so much about HOW the machine works and how to avoid things that will cause problems. We are no longer intimidated by The Machine. It has paid for itself every month with beautiful embroidery. We plan on buying another machine in a few years, so we can retire to full time embroidery. We are very happy with our purchase! I had a panel that went out on my em1010 and I got ahold of tech support. They answered quickly and ended up after some testing over the phone and video sending me a new panel. We installed the panel via video chat and it worked fine. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have a machine that I know there is support a phone call away.
Excellent customer serivce and a great machine. I dont have any other machines to compare them to, but when you need help with the machine, every single time we call, someone answers!!! To me this makes all the difference in the world. We as decorators, need to keep our machines running. We dont have time to wait for calls, repair folks, or worse... Ricoma takes care of you! Ill always get a Ricoma as our business grows!
I want to enjoy embroidery, but I cant with Ricoma. Weve had nothing but problems with our EM1010, and while a technician coming out to service it did solve some of our issues, it does not perform as Ricoma leads you to believe. Technical support is a nightmare to get a hold of, and my only way of doing so was to tag the CEO on social media. Even then, tech support didnt come out until over a month afterwards. I wish Ricoma would be straightforward with the EM1010s massive limitations and I would have purchased a model above. Id probably be leaving a more positive review. But now, Im stuck with a machine that can only reliably do flats which my previous machine that was 1/8 the cost did just as well. I gave 2 stars because my account rep Nicole and technician Garfield were amazing. Otherwise, I feel Ive been duped on the EM1010.
I had some issues with my dtg machine. Customer service was great.Alex D was great to work with. He was with me every step of the way. Always very polite, friendly and always seemed like in a very good mood. He reassured me that he would help me get my machine up and he did exactly that. I appreciate all his help.
We have had such a wonderful experience with Ricoma. When searching for a new embroidery machine I heard such mixed reviews about their customer service. Well I can personally say, the bad ones were wrong. I have had no issue getting a hold of them. When they tell me they will call me back they do and their knowledge and experience is great. Havent had one call or Facetime where they havent been able to fix my issue. I highly recommend their product & their service. I am a Property manager and know customer service is key to a happy customer which they have provided me so far.
Ive had my Ricoma EM-1010 for just over a year and learn something new every time I use it. As with any mechanical equipment it has a learning curve but the support Ive been given has been top notch! I dont regret purchasing this machine and hope some day to move up to the next level machine.

I want say that I am so glad that I have the support of Ricoma. I now know that I am not a lone in building my business using my EM 1010. I learned so much from technical support this past Saturday. Note I said Saturday, that is right on Saturday I needed to re-stitch a portion of a design after I removed stitches that didn’t stitch out correctly. I understood that I needed to get to the end of the designs but the only way I thought this was accomplished was to hold down the plus button. I quickly realized doing it this way would take me longer than I could spend on this process. I made a phone call to see if there was after hours support which there was. I left a message for a call back with details and continued to advance through the design. I only had to wait a few minutes before I got the call back. The tech walked me through all the steps of options. I am so glad that I called for help because not only did get the information I needed but discovered that the stitch problem was an issue with the design. I want give a big shout out to Ricoma’s technical support for going above and beyond. My expectations are of technical support from Ricoma really went to another level. I actually called twice Saturday each times I took away so much more knowledge than I expected.

I had to call Ricoma support on Sunday afternoon, because I could not get my USB to read on the machine. I figured I was going to have to leave a message and wait for someone to get back to me. Very excited moments, I flew into Miami from Tennessee on January 28, 2021 for a one on one training at Ricoma on the EM 1010. The training was truly helpful, I learned a lot. My trainer, Janae was awesome, I really appreciate her knowledge and patience. I can’t wait to go back home and get started. The staff members were really nice and friendly, great group of people. It was nice meeting Henry and his staff members in person. It was definitely worth the trip.
I waited weeks for the live training and it was horrible. The host was rude and not very helpful. The quality of the training was spotty and kept cutting out. After about 3.5 hours I still dont know how to use my machine. For the amount of money everyone in training spent on our machines we didnt have a good experience. Very disappointing..

Ive had my MT1501 about a year, I will admit that there is a learning curve, but there are lots of Videos, and the support is outstanding. Whenever Ive had a problem Ill call and have never waited more then an hour during business hours with a response. The embroidery machine is all mechanical and it is very important to oil it as recommended and keep the bobbin area clean of dust, and lint. My last call to them was that my laptop cratered and I needed to install Chroma on my desktop. I emailed them and with 30 mins I was up and running with the software transferred to the desktop. I give them an A++ for support.

The online training that they provide is superb. I had no problem installing the printer at first but then my computer had to be rebooted and printer didnt show up. Ricoma logged into my computer and not only did they fixed it for me they walked me through the steps incase if I was to have the same issue. No issue so far and the quality print is amazing!! The trainer Julia was very personable and made sure that everyone in the group were on the same page.

I absolutely loved my initial training with ricoma my trainer was Mariann and she was extremely knowledgeable and patient with everyones questions I wish the classes could be a little bit more of a convenient time option, maybe evenings and weekends however I learned so much during this class everything was broken down in such a simple form I feel confident now about starting to run the machine on my own and I give this class a two thumbs up I would love a part two.

The issue I was having was with hoopmade I was able to log in but unable to download any files. I put in a trouble ticket and right away got a response, but didnt get my problem solved. Recently purchased a new MT series machine from Carlo and I must say the entire process was handled top notch from beginning to end, to afterwards. During the sales process Carlo was willing to answer any of the questions I had and while persistent he was not pushy. He was able to get a financing deal for me that was technically not in effect but made it easier on my budget.Since Im local I picked up my machine on the upcoming Friday and Carlo arranged for me to do my training at their office at the same time. I was accompanied by another new client and the training was done by Sofia.If you havent been trained by Sofia, you need to be trained by Sofia. Shes amazing. What more can I say?At the end of the day it was time to pick up my machine and there were a lot of folks in the dock area willing and waiting to help load the machine. It is heavy so a lot of people were needed to load it, but it also made it appear as though there were a lot of people interested in myself and the other client becoming new owners of their equipment.Very pleased afterwards as well. I had run into a few minor issues once I got the machine home and support is always very quick to respond and their responses have been accurate and the issues were just my newness with the machine.Great purchase...great company...but only because of a great staff.
The training today was really needed, although I use a sewing/embroidery machine, they dont compare. So Im glad I didnt jump the gun thinking that I can do this before the training. Recently I contacted Ricoma for training assistance for my 2 year old Pfaff MN110. This machine is built for Pfaff by Ricoma. Long story short, Pfaff has not provided any training. The support specialist I spoke with at Ricoma was wonderful and very generously sent me a training video and resource info for maintenance. I cant thank them enough!
Horrible customer service. after waiting 2 months for base this is what they send me.They are eager to take your money and will say and do anything to get it. salesman has business ethics deficiency... currently working with bank to get a refund we plan on filing a civil suit. scratched and bent. after reviewing the main sewing unit it appears to be used or refurbished. so I guess they take $9600 and send you beat up used equipment as new. be careful you have been warned. salesman figured this person is new to this business so lets just send him some scratched up dented used floor model...heres a suggestion format the onboard computer..I dont think the shipping company was using the machine.

At the begging I was little bit skeptical, but they took extra steps to make sure we are properly educated on our 6 head machine. Maria Gabriela De Sousa has been the absolute best there from the time I bought the machine until now. I could not have asked for better. I got a great price on the MT-1501 machine because I paid cash for it and it was sent out expedited mail. It came in a huge crate as if it was from a movie. I was going to purchase another machine recently with some business partners I had, but they shopped around and we came back to Maria because I believe in business if you treat the people right who have helped you, they will do so in return. And she did in spades! In the end I had signed the contract and was going to finance the next machine, but I had to desolve my partnership and I had to go back to Maria and tell her that I wouldn’t be able to get the newer machine now. She was more than understanding and did a full refund. Any other company may not have done that after a contract is signed. In business when you form relationships with the people who work at the companies and treat another with respect, like Maria has done with me, you get more than a machine in the end. You build a friendship. Thank you, Maria for everything and I will always recommend her and Ricoma for any embroidery machine that you need.
Daniel is awesome. Worked through the installation of a control panel board. Went smoothly. Ricoma service is the best! When you buy new equipment Sales may be great but service lacks. That’s not the case with Ricoma!
My machine was having issues and Jonathan stayed on the phone with me for over 4 hours until he got me back up and running! He reached out to me a few days later to get an update on the machine. He was very nice, patient, thoughtful, and very well educated on my machine. We had a moment of laughter at the end because we couldnt believe all we had to do to fix the machine but we made it!
The training I got from Julia was excellent she was really patient with the people who were training in our session. She is truly a professional and knows the Ricoma machines!I had an issue with Shipping from Ricoma but the called and made it right. That is a sign of a company that truly cares about its customers!
I recently purchased an EM1010. Everything so far, from salesmanship, to support, to initial training has been wonderful! My salesman Adrian was so knowledgeable and dependable with follow-thru, and his communications were excellent. When I was unable to quickly find the email link to the online training, I made a call to support, and they resent the link right away. Our instructor for the remote/online training(Julia, I believe) could not have been better! She was so patient, thorough, and systematic with her instructions. She seemed very intuitive with our questions, as she could focus on the need and clarify very quickly. She never seemed to mind repeating information when I was having a difficult time following. Just so patient, kind, and knowledgeable! Could not have asked for better :-)

Josh made sure to make rhe equipment affordable by my request and not purchase unnecessary want list.The training by Jonathan was very professional and insightful and even when we went a step ahead of him, was kind to explain it when ask and when the actual situation for that step was due for the training. Last week I was having a hard time with thread breaks and needle breaks. Daniel was very patient and helpful, in talking me through how to fix the timing. A few days later, when had more questions Johnathan was able take care of that. Technical support at Ricoma has been great.

Henry Ma, You have many people that are not happy with your business practices. You know this!!! Your machines do not work as Advertised and promised. You say you stand behind your machines then refund those that are asking that can not use their machines. You do not uphold your promises or warranty. Because I am honest I will say your customer service is good as long as your customer isnt having issues and standing up to you to fix them. DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!

I cant believe the customer service! I wrote an email to Ricoma explaining that my cap frame was too small for my designs and within minutes Daniel called me!!!! I didnt leave my phone number thinking they would just email back. Instead he looked up my account and face timed me to walk me through the process of changing the parameters! Couldnt get one Im a disabled senior who was looking to adding to my crafting to increase my income. But after talking to rep. He made it sound like would be easy to get started and easy to get finance. But guess need higher income and way better credit score. Very disappointed.

I had to take a moment to share my Ricoma tech experience with Jonathan. After being frustrated over many days I calledl support to ask for help with bird nesting. Jonathan was extremely patient and helpful in guiding me through eliminating every possible issue. We even had to go as far as having a technician come out to my location. Through the entire process Jonathan remained patient and courteous. He followed up even after the technician came out to service my machine. I was also pleasantly surprised that the technician who came out took the time to even give me great training and tips. Because of the great support a very frustrating situation turned out to be a great training opportunity. Thanks Ricoma!

I purchased a Ricoma MT-1501 a few months ago and it has been the best purchase. My husband and I spend days and even week looking into other machines like Brother and BabyLock but nothing had all the inclusives like Ricoma. Now with all the research...we did find several negative reviews back several years ago...we reached out to the company and spoke to a sales rep about everything we were finding. Turns out the company Ricoma was then, is not the company Ricoma is today! They have done a 180 turn and have come a long way! From the day we purchased our machine, our sales rep Brent has walked us EVERY step of the way. Even after receiving our machine, Brent has made himself available to us for any question he can either help us with or direct us to someone that can help. We were told EXACTLY what to do when the machine got here...STEP-BY-STEP. There was NEVER a point in this process that we didnt know what to do and that was a huge deal...due to the fact that before this, we hadnt even played with a basic sewing machine...We received a FREE 8 hour Facetime or Skype class to go over everything and to answer any questions we had. I have had to call tech support one time and that was for user error. That conversation lasted less that 30 seconds and the issue was resolved. There are COUNTLESS Ricoma videos to show you all the tips and tricks of the business and to show how to do basically anything. Any time I have had an issue I have gone straight to the Ricoma videos on YouTube. Another great bonus is the Ricoma Facebook page. Everyone shares their issues and successes and you learn so much just from communicating with fellow Ricoma owners. And if you do post a question, Henry Ma from Ricoma, will be on top of it in no time. I cannot complain about a single thing. We love our machine and have ALREADY talked about purchasing another. We made a wonderful choice going with Ricoma and I would do it time and time again!
