Been going here for 10 years and honestly is the best service Ive had with my car. The Manager Steve is always helpful, honest with what needs to be fixed, and makes an effort to give the best deal. I always go back to this crew for my service. Recommended.
Finally this store is closed. I have had several issues here. Battery bought there last only one year and have no replacement or warranty. Oil was changed as they should but they miss to put back the oil dip stick. My car engine compartment was completely covered with oil. Next day when I ask the manager for the oil stick he said that “I” have lost it and don’t agree to clean the engine or pay for new dip stick. Never more I will use this store for nothing.
Girlfriend dropped her car off here alone. Sad to see that they like to scam those who are not knowledgeable about vehicles. They will add plenty of expensive services to your bill under the guise of it being necessary

Ive had my oil changed twice at this SW 8th St. location.The only problem I had was the mileage on my vehicle being turned back.No big deal.Now, Recently... I decided to try a repair service and I am very unhappy with Pep Boys.Im being told that my car has engine damage that it didnt have when I brought it here. And that I need to take my car to the dealer.I asked several times if they do the type of work that I need to have done. I was told yes.Now... I have an even bigger problem with my car.Wow... Really, Pep Boys!
Dropped car off on Thursday morning, still wasnt ready on Saturday morning, they said they needed the part and the mechanic wasnt in. They were unable to give me diagnostic report that I paid for because I declined the job. They told me to take a picture of the written diagnostic that had a few words???The manager Ernesto needs more mechanics and better customer service. *********Avoid them or youll be sorry !!!

The service was decent enough but dont expect your appointment to be done on time. I had an oil change scheduled for 9am and it was done around 11:30am. That is unacceptable.
I needed my rotors and brake pads replaced. I brought my own parts and just needed to pay for the labor. What shouldnt even be an hour job cost me $400. When I got the car back, the brake pedal was soft and needed to be pumped once to be firm. I spoke to the manager and he wanted to charge me more to have it bled(another hour). I didnt do it. If you have the parts and just need labor, go to a Mom & Pop shop.

Gentleman that attended me today was incredibly helpful, the store had everything I needed to do a tune-up in stock. Really appreciated that I was able to go in and out in a matter of minutes.Overall this isnt one of the best locations, because over the years I have encountered people that were rude and unhelpful, and the new layout of removing cashiers is a work in progress so its not a nice look.Also dont like that Pepboys no longer carries Bosch batteries and parts for those of us with european vehicles, but thats a decision that probably was made at the corporate level.A good thing about this location is that it has ample parking and it was very easy to find what I needed.

My name is Elijah Dawson. I had a 12 noon appointment today 10/11 for a oil change, check my fluid levels, and check the air pressure in my driver side rear tire. I arrived and checked in at 11:45am. I was told by the store manager that I had 2 people ahead of me who had appointments. I noticed and counted 8 people in the waiting room. I waited patiently for 2.5 hours. I approached the store manager to ask him what’s going on, he told me he thought his guys already worked on my van but never came to inform me. That didn’t make any since to me. It is now 2:50 pm and I am still waiting on my van to receive an oil change. This is beyond ridiculous. I gave 1 star because it would not allow me to post until I select a star.
Affordable oil change that includes tire rotation. Was a last minute stop and they able to help. Hours are perfect for those who work late evenings. I believe they close at 9pm
Where’s the owner, Dude u lost money for real, made an appointment yesterday for today at 10 am, Oil change!!, I arrived to the place and the stuff said that the truck with appointment it’s probably be ready at 4 pm!!! Mi nephew left his car around 3:30 for oil change and they never notified him they were closing by 6pm and when we arrived the place were close. No call were made. No work was done. No keys. Plus he was left with out being able to get on his apartment. Since they kept the keys. And we were calling since 5:45 pm and no one answer. They kept putting the call on hold and hanging up after couple of minutes. It was stressful since yesterday was his moms birthday that she has passed almost a year ago on September 5th that is a week away. Very unprofessional...
It is the worst place to fix your car, the desk employees are rude and they do not know how to fix problems or help customers, and the manager Ernesto Perez is a grifter, because he sell you a services that is suppose to be for life, and then he does not want to fix your car when you come back to shop. This place is gonna close very soon !!!!!
I really want to like this place and give them 5 stars. Downside is the counter is horribly understaffed. Youll see people standing around for 15+ minutes just waiting for someone to acknowledge them. Let alone check in them in or take their money. The people are working hard, running around. Just not enough of them up front. The mechanics do good work. No issue with the quality, the price or the place.If you have lots of patience and time on your hands its a great place. If you want quick service and keep to a schedule... youll be frustrated. Ill go back when I can drop off my car for the day.
Steven from the service and Tire area was so helpful. We came in to check our alternator, and Steven took his time to check it and the battery and also pointed out some small things that the car needed. He spent some time with us, answering all our questions. Honestly, it’s hard to find people who are willing to help and offer that kind of customer service nowadays! Thank you, Steven!

I booked an appointment online and left my job earlier to be there on time. When I picked the services I needed online I entered with my car model and everything looked right, however when I got there, after eating in line, I was told they don’t service Diesel car, very dispiriting !
All fine except they could not fix a flat on one of the Cooper tires bought there. Why? Because they only carry large patches, not the size needed to fix my tire. Their only solution was to replace tire for $120.00???Went to another tire shop fixed for $20!!
I had a lovely experience here today, Bryan made a bad day go a lot better he helped me turn my day around, I appreciate the help and knowledge he offered. I would come back here again to get new parts for my car .

Do not go to this location. I just got 4 new tires on my car (not from them) the next day I brought my car to them for an alignment thinking it was going to be simple. They came back and told me that I needed 4 new tires because they were low? After I told them I have just gotten new ones the day before they refused to align my tires and told me it was going to be $700 or else they wouldnt do it. Do not go to them. They will try to rip you off.

AVOID THIS PLACE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCEthis place is not worth even one star!!!!!I gave them my car and they told me that this repair and it will be ready next day. Now it is already more than a week and I still dont have my car. Every day they tell me this gonna be ready tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow. Just to connect with the person actually responsible for the repair ( if they take responsibility at all!) you have to wait like 15-20 minutes. This is one big mess and my biggest mistake. I just cant wait to get rid of this.Additionally placed a claim at their customer service but I dont think anyone cares at all.BTW prices are higher than on the market in general.
Car started making odd sounds. Brought it in here last night and they found my right rear tire had lost 4/5 lug nuts and was about to fall off. Apparently, the last place we took the car into for a rotation did not tighten the nuts and left me in a seriously dangerous situation. The staff looked for my wheel locks in the car, fixed my tires up and let me go on my way, no charge. He and his employees were so kind and attentive throughout. I will def be back for future work.
I had to wait 2 and 1/2 hours before my car was even seen. Then when they finally brought it around it took another 45 minutes. The guy that was working on my car left to talk to his fellow co workers and work on another car. Would recommend going to a different place if you need a quick tire change. Not worth the time.
Good place with good prices but they need at least one employee for each counter. The poor guy in the from was very kind and polite, he was doing the best he could. He had a line of clients trying to pay their items he had to handle phone calls and be in two places at once because there was no one to cover the back area for parts and some clients were getting upset understandably because if the wait but the poor guy was doing his best you can only multi task so much. Get more employees pep boys.

Now even in the prices and specials, to my surprise they where kind to go under their price to match an estimate I had from another place. The service was also really good and fast. Great choice to come across this location!
I normally dont write reviews. I had a flat tire on my car. I had both of my children with me and when they attended me they said that it will take 2-3 hours for they can change a tire. How ridiculous is that. I was not going to wait 2-3 hours for they could change a flat. When I asked how much for the tire was so expensive that it was not even worth to bring my services to this place. Never again will I come here or recommend this place to anyone.
Took about two hours for an oil change without an appointment, but the place was swamped so I can’t blame them. Steven at the service desk was great, dealt with a difficult customer before me and still helped me with a smile and efficiency!

I have received great service from Steven. He is knowledgeable, honest and goes the extra mile to help. He knew my 20 year old Toyota was on its final legs and did not try to convince me to put in lots of money to fix it and was concerned that I was still driving it as it could be dangerous. He was spot on with his assessment and I bought another car. The ew one immediately had a censor problem with tire pressure system which Steven fixed with computer testing at no cost. Great customer service @ Tire Sales counter. But Dont go for Service IReturned six month after for tire rotation &Alignment check the tech had a fight with shop supervisor that he would not be paid for checking alignment. Disappointed. Gave 1 star because ZERO star option is not available. This is the second time in two days that I make an appointment for an oil change and the appointment is not fulfilled. I waited over an hour after my appointment on friday Jan. 3rd 2020 and after checking the status with one of the team members, I was told it was going to take an additional hour and a half to get to my car. That was 2 hours and a half after my scheduled appointment. Today, I had another appointment and when I got there to check in, the guy didnt even look for my appointment, he told me straight up that there was no time for oil change even with appointments. Why do pepboys give appointments if they ate unable to keep them?Why give priority to walk ins if there are people with appointments scheduled? That is ridiculous. Really bad service.

Kudos to Julian!! I needed new tires this past Saturday and called with questions about purchasing & making an appointment online vs in person. He was very helpful on the telephone & in person and displayed a jovial attitude along with patience. No one ever wants to spend too much money but I do feel a received a good deal and definitely got great customer service!

I had a flat tire that apparently no one could fix (due that I had a nail there for a long time and didn’t realize it) had to buy a new tire. I went late at night on a Friday night, they didn’t have the size so they had to order it which was okay. Initially the guy helping me offered me an Uber ride home where they would cover up to 20 miles, I came back a few minutes later and he said he couldn’t offer me that anymore, then I left again. No other place could help me so I had to get it done, so I came back and purchase the tire and the service to install it. I come to pick up my car the next morning and there’s a chip on my rim, save the trouble and go elsewhere.

Second time I try to use this location for service and its been equally terrible both times. This latest episode we booked an oil change for 11 am, and dropped car off at 10:30. Tried calling numerous times to find out status of car and no one answered. So showed up at 2 pm and car had not moved from spot where we left it. Asked service advisor for a status and was basically told they where behind on appointments and could not get to car for another hour and a half. When asked why he would not tell us this when we dropped off car and he just shrugged his shoulders and offered no answer. When asked what the purpose of the appointments was and he just ignored the question, completely rude.NEVER AGAIN
This Pop boys location is very nice, spacious and its very easy to find all the items I needed. Its in a great location, very easy to access from the street. I got my tires replaced there 2 years ago and they still work great and the warranty is a great value.
Just to check a flat tire, the service manager ask me to wait for 1 hour. I pointed him the exact patch work to be done. Not a friendly place to go for a quick turn around.

I went in today to buy license plate screws. I asked the staff where to find them. They told me the wrong isle, but they were not too far off. Another day I went in for a quote for rear struts for a Camry. Another shop wanted $750, and I thought it was excessive. Pep Boys wanted $1000! But then they told me that they could apply some coupons and save me $200. On the other hand, another day I found there the battery for my Honda fit that Sears did not have
I bought two front tires from this location and had the two front tires improperly balanced. I came to the store now twice to get it rebalanced and they always say they have one mechanic. William the manager is an absolute joke. Stay away from a location that does not care about there clients.

Terrible service. Surprised of this from Pep Boys. Must be this store only. They refused to check alignment on my car. I had done it a month ago and I was still under the warranty period thus free checks. Dont go to this Pepboys store. They are a great company but this store does not live up to company standards.
It was a horrible experience. No kind of customer service was given. If these people work by commission i can tell. Mine was warranty exchange for a battery. No one offered to help me remove it. I spent an hour trying to remove a damaged screw from my battery. Had to buy tools since they wouldnt let me borrow the correct one. The guy offered pliers and nothing else. The only good thing he did was take the new battery to my car. And even then i had to install it on my own. Its incredibly ridiculous, how horrible the service was.

Terrible customer service.... I had my car serviced yesterday. The mechanic finished it, I could see it through the window, I asked the customer service clerk (Luis) if it was finished.... he checked and responded it was not. For 45 minutes I waited, while I could see no one was doing anything on my car. After 45 min, the same guy said, ah, it was finished after all..... now you own me 45 min of my life..... I am researching for a new store now..... And of course this is not the first issue with them. I finally got my AC repaired somewhere else because new never called me back with the appraisal....
After making a scheduled appointment, arriving 15 minutes early and having called ahead and making sure they had to the correct diesel oil and oil filter for my 1982 Mercedes - Benz 240D. I waited 30 minutes and got a phone call. The manger told me he didn’t have the correct tools(it take a 13 mm wrench) which is a lie. The on duty manager William has a poor, unprofessional attitude and switches from English to Spanish when talking to co-works that also speak English. He did that to the Customer in front of me. When I told him it only takes a 13 mm he said I don’t want to change your oil. I don’t want to break your car. William is terrible and the management should know.
I have a very good experience at Pep Boys in Miami. I needed new tires and brakes, and the they did the work in a few short hours without an appointment. The price was better than fair. The service person, whose name is Freddie was great. He gave it to me straight and offered me the best deal he was allowed to give. If you choose to go there, I would ask for Freddie, and he was funny.
If you have an appointment, how long do you think it should take to get an oil change? If you pay for the premium service, what happens when they dont do what the receipt says they did? Either Pep Boys has a bad and untrustworthy mechanic, a bad shop manager, a bad store manager or a bad regional manager. If you set up an appointment, know it took 2.5 hours to get the work actually done. Did they do the included vehicle inspection? Nope! Did they follow the accepted oil filter request? Nope!
Luis was the associate helping me. He talked down to me the whole time you dont know anything about cars, huh? You just put gas in it and thats it? Then tried to sell me tires without giving me any specs. Zero product knowledge. Zero customer service knowledge.

Most recent update: Here’s the short version: I had to pay for Ubers after waiting 4 hours when they promised me I would have the car back same day. They dented my car, and after emailing back and forth with pep boys for over a month, they have done nothing. Not even an apology. You’ll notice all bad reviews have the same verbatim comment from pep boys asking you to email them to resolve the issue. This is internet damage control to make it look like they want to fix negative experiences, they do nothing. Stay away from this franchise.I had a flat, they changed one tire and the tire pressure censor is still going off, there is an issue with another tire they didn’t fix or check. I had to pay for Uber after they promised me it would be fixed same day. I get the car 2 hours later than they said I would have it the next morning, making me late for work. Then there’s a dent in the car they caused. When I called to ask what happened and who I could talk to about that, they hung up on me. I live alone and work two jobs. I can’t afford this nonsense. Now I have to find a way to work/pay for more Uber’s and pay for more car work somewhere else. I can’t get over the disrespect, the negligence, and poor customer service.
I went to the store days ago and Miss. Isolina helped me to buy my car parts: oil filters, tie rod end, ball joints, headlight & fog lights. She did a great job and her knowledge is amazing, excellent person and great staff in the store, everybody are a nice people. See you next time.

I was at the shop and I was told I need a lot of different things that I did not need. Once I got a second and third opinion, i realized pep boys was trying to sell me unnecessary items for my car. And customer service rep said that a senior advisor would contact me and I have gotten nothing. Im still waiting.
I had a friends brakes done there and it took approximately an hour and a half. The price was fair and they applied a military service discount. Nice job!!
They will make the uneducated pay more than they have to. I needed a small part for my AC which was $40 online and with install (which is an annoyance so that’s why I wanted them to install it) would probably be $100 at most. They said they couldn’t install the part if I bought it online and brought the part to them and I would have to go through them to order the entire ac system for $800+ from the dealership because they don’t have access to the small part. I immediately showed them the $40 part from multiple vendors and they “cant go through those vendors.” So, moral of the story: Go to a small mechanic shop. They did the entire job for $60. Haven’t had a problem since. Thanks for nothing pep boys!

Store looks like a hurricane went through it. Employees seem bothered to help you after you interrupt their phone time. Shelves are bare and a hot mess. Plan to find o my about half the stuff you came for. Good luck.

My cars AC was just blowing hot air. I thought I needed a freon recharge. Their AC technician ran a free AC check, found out the freon was full, no leaks and that it had to be an electrical issue. No charge and suggested I take it to the dealer to diagnose exactly whats wrong. Awesome service and advice. I will definitely be coming back for all my auto needs!
I usually go to another location and I’ve never felt scammed, I spent 3 hours for an oil change even though the guy told me there was just one car in front of me, they offered as courtesy check levels and tire rotation and when I came back after two hours (first time gave for the guy on charge) my car was still in the place that I left it! There was no tire rotation nor fluid levels checked! And I have to spend one more hour! I will never go back to this location

Terrible service. Went there to replace my dead battery by making an online appointment. After they kept me waiting for 2 hours, the manager told me the guy who can change Mini Coopers battery was not in that day. (Why didnt they tell me this when I walked into the store???) DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! They dont care! Also making an online appointment has NO meaning and wont guarantee you a spot
They out of stock of everything but the expensive tires no personal some employees are rude for example we i was there a customer was talking to a rep. And the representative kep walking and talking didnt bother to stop and pay attention to the customer honestly dont bother.
