The items the customers were drinking out doors looked good. There were only 3 people ahead of me. One person behind the counter doing her best while the others workers were probably busy somewhere else. Only 40 min in line and then another employee came out when i was up next. Then a few minutes waiting for a smoothie.Consider going here when more employees are behind the counter or be prepared to wait. No Cash. Only electronic payment at the time i was here.
The place inside is very cute. However, the service is not so good. We ordered an iced chai tea latte and a caramel frappe. I didn’t like the frappe at all, and asked if we could switch it for another chai tea late (I only took a sip, and I didn’t like it at all so I didn’t drink any more of it). The barista said “oH wE cAnT dO tHaT bEcAuSE wE cAnT rEuSe tHe cOfFeE” like, sir, that’s the whole point. I don’t want you to reuse that coffee, it’s not good. I wanted something different. I paid almost $6-7 on that drink just to go to trash, and I didn’t even drink it?We had to insist on changing it, we had to get mad, and he was still resisting until we mentioned we wouldn’t leave a good review (I was planning in giving 5 stars) then all of the sudden he said he would be able to give us the drink.I’ve never experienced this treatment anywhere. Not even Starbucks or other small coffee shops would treat their customers like that. The iced chai tea latte was really good. I truly recommend it. I don’t recommend the frappe.Again, the place is very nice and their baked good look really good (I didn’t have any but they look yummy). The service just kinda sucked, especially the fact that they made us get mad just to change a drink we didn’t like.
Shepherd artisan coffee has great juices and coffee and most of all pastry dishes and light sandwiches to get your day going.Living so close to this place is an amenity for me, also a nice patio to sit and eat while people watching the crazy south beach life. I have the chicken sandwich on a baguette and it was amazingly fire 🔥. Very clean and organized inside I like this place a lot. No parking on Collins so expect to walk, but a good place for a quick break.
I would recommend going somewhere else. Asked for 2 orders of over easy eggs with bacon, pretty simple to make for anyone with basic cooking skills. Both orders came out over cooked, no runny yolk. Also asked for 2 cups of coffee, but when the buzzer goes off and I pick up the food they didnt have the coffee ready. So they gave me another buzzer. Finished breakfast and was still waiting for 2 basic cups of coffee. Had to go to the counter to ask when the coffee would be ready since the 2nd buzzer never went off. Finally got 2 cups of barely ok coffee. No, we did not go there during a rush. There was about 4 or 5 other people that already had their food when I placed the order so I didnt really understand why they dropped the ball.
Spent my very first week in Miami and I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place on my first day and Ive been back every day since. The iced chai was excellent and the breakfast croissant was to die for. But in all honesty Im going to miss the staff the most, as they all worked super hard and were very friendly. This is my new favorite coffee shop and I cant wait for my next trip to Miami so I can come visit.
I fell in love with this charming coffee shop and its workers the first day I visited. My grilled cheese and asparagus sandwich was delectable, and they also serve excellent coffee and bagel sandwiches. We go there whenever we have the chance. Its spotless, well-run, and staffed by genuinely nice people!
The place is good and cozy. Its right in the main road. Location is good. I had chai latte it was very good. The taste is not like the regular ones. My friends had hot chocolate, white chocolate mocha, black coffee .. everything was good.
Great artisanal coffee shop with great prices given being on Miami beach. My Iced Caramel Latte did not have the flavoring mixed in and was at the bottom but I would buy drinks from here again.
Macha was passable, cheesecake was okay. Wifi requires a Facebook account 🙄 lame
Pastry are over over the price for something isnt wow. $6.95 each one. I prefer to get pastries at whole foods much better quality and taste for less
Really good coffee and breakfast! On our vacation spent every morning here
Awsome healthy food, fresh juices and artisanal coffee.Ive had breakfast and lunch here and have been very pleased!
Cappuccino and gluten free cake was delicious. Loved the atmosphere!
In A Nutshell:-The Shepard Artisan Coffee shop is a decent coffee shop.-Instead of walking to the Starbucks nearby, I rather support local & try their coffee.-Their drip coffee w/ added expresso shot hit the spot to start the day in South Beach perfectly.-You can sit inside w/ plenty of space & they also have some baked goods to snack on.Overall, its a nice coffee shop to people walk while you start your day in Miami Beach!
Really nice coffee shop for Espresso-based beverages. They have a great selection of espresso based beverages and iced coffee too. My wife enjoyed an Americano and I enjoyed an iced coffee. They have a good selection of food too including sandwiches, vegan baked goods, and other pastries if that suits you. We enjoyed our beverages and checked out the Rosetta Bakery next door. Its a great pairing.
This place is my Go to coffee shop when I visit miami. Always exceptional service & a clean environment! coffee is amazing . love everything about this place
Right across the street from my AirBNB, definitely needed my morning coffee. Walked it and it was a cute little cafe. Loved the book shelf in the back. They had huge menu from Iced Drinks to Smoothies and Croissants. I got a Iced Chai Latte with Hazelnut, chocolate croissant and blueberry muffin. Everything was so good. The staff was chill and very cheerful. This definitely will be my coffee spot for the rest of the vacation.
Ehh need bigger cups coffee was ok
Decent. The name artisan doesn’t belong in my opinion. Bean/brew quality is 5/10. The Americanized is drinkable, but lacks flavour. When paired in a latte with macadamia milk it compensates and it was a 8/10. Had a cinnamon bun, also about a 6/10. Dough quality looks like what I’d expect at a low quality bakery vs an artisan shop.
The açaí is very low quality! I couldn’t eat more than 3 spoons of it. I think you guys are able to have some descent açaí, specially in Miami it’s not that hard.Coffee was almost close to ok.The place is nice to hang out though.
This place is a gem! Seems to be one of the more reasonably priced places to get some breakfast. Its busy but the service is fairly quick. I didnt try the coffee but the matcha latte was delicious.
Expensive but very good iced tea. $4.50 for a 12 oz iced tea. Nice inside with a cool floor to ceiling book shelf and limited seating (4-5 tables). Lots more seating outside on the patio, had a wonderful time
Good place for coffee and snacks. Two small issues:- no A/C in summer heat- paper straws that soak and break
I got one of the cheapest breakfast combo and it was really good, it came with either an orange juice or coffee. I picked orange juice because orange juice by itself is around 6 dollars. Then I got an espresso for 2-3 dollars. I also added smoked salmon on the side for ~$6 more. Food was good but slightly expensive. Total was around 30. I don’t think the coffee was a good deal (it’s 5 dollars and it’s one large size only). The coffee wasn’t anything particularly special. Could get a cheaper coffee anywhere else. Service was good.
The coffee: It was a darker roast. The cortado was a bit bitter and watery. I asked for a double shot and it came out in the smallest glass Ive ever seen a cortado served in. It looked like it would barely hold a single shot, and if you add the foamed milk I have no idea how a double was supposed to fit in there. It wasnt good or bad, just very average coffee. The shop: It was a small and cute shop. It had a very European feel for some reason. I would like to sit and chat here, especially outside in the front. The happy hour: I would come back for their happy hour. You can get two drinks for $9. They arent particularly strong drinks, but the mojitos at least were very refreshing.
Solid euro cafe, great coffee, whatever chocolate they use in the mochas and the croissants are absolutely amazing. They also have small selection of drinks and pet breakfast available as well.
Was super excited to try the place & was excited at their selection! 40 minutes for 3 drinks.... I would never waste my time or money here again😐The WORST PART.... one had to be remade because the employee making it dropped a piece of the fruit in DIRTY DISH WATER then picked it up and PUT IT IN the juicer and served it to me like NOTHING HAPPENED! 🤢🤮🤮🤮
Great wifi if you are looking to sit somewhere to drink a coffee and work on your laptop. I was able to run a 5 people zoom call without an issue. There’s also a few plugs inside for you to charge your devices. Wifi outside is just as good.Be careful in the morning as the lines can run pretty long!Lattes were great, breakfast does the trick. Prefer this to starbucks a million times over.
Delicious food and drinks. Reasonably priced for south beach. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Good for coffee and pastries. Don’t recommend the eggs tho
Convenient. Prefer to support a local business but the food is a total overpriced. Got the quinoa salad for 15$ and... 🥴 but I’d still go before Starbucks. Just wouldn’t eat.
The ambiance was clean, comfortable, and smell great. Even the waiter that served my order at that time was very friendly and nice. Eventually, I had a great experience as I visited your shop. You made my day splendid. Thanks!
I would give them a 5 except the paper straw fell apart in my frappe. Paper straws are great but they dont last long. I had to try and drink the last half of my drink without a straw. Not fun.
Amazing coffee shop. Coffee is just excellent and pastries from a bakery next door are so tasty. I wish I can visit this place everyday to get an espresso and a croissant.
Food and coffee from this place are the bomb. Thats all there is to it. I dont know what it is they do that is special/different but it IS. The one at 2745 Collins, too 👍 The only criticism I would give is both stores could be cleaned. Theyre both pretty grimy/not cleaned/kept clean well, sloppy, and messy.
Staff is nice food is below average. I ordered a salmon on a toasted bagel. It was completely flavorless. Without exaggeration nothing had flavor i had an everything bagel no flavor, salmon no flavor, not even the cream cheese or capers had flavor. The coffee was the only decent thing. But I can get better coffee else where. Cost of breakfast for 2 people with 2 coffees about $30 easy.
Lovely cafe with all day breakfast. Great Chai Latte ❤
Such good coffee and good service! not too far from the beach, so its nice to get coffee and enjoy it with the view. my sister and I both got the mocha, and it was wonderful! we didnt try any of the food, but it smelled wonderful. tables were set up outside with fresh flowers. all in all, a very nice coffee shop.
They are allowing customers to not wear masks inside. I was waiting to order and noticed that there was a woman looking at the pastries on the counter with no mask on. I let the cashier know and she simply said, Thats ok. I said NO THE F$#@ ITS NOT. She shrugged. I walked out without placing my order. Idiots.
Nice outdoor seating with powerful fans. Quaint ambiance, on a narrow but main thoroughfare right in South Beach. I appreciate the variety: they have Almond milk, a few gluten-free items. Somehow the rest of Miami hasnt caught up to the lactose-free and gluten-free needs of many people LOL, but they have nice offerings and a great many other sandwiches and croissants on the menu. The staff here are always so nice! Its a chill place. One of my faves that I frequent.
This place was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. I ended up going in here to grab some breakfast. I got the green breakfast which was decent but my girlfriend got the BLT. The BLT was the messiest sandwich I have ever seen. It was put together so poorly it looked like she was eating mush. It tasted ok but it was not in the slightest aesthetically pleasing. The coffee was ok but i asked for their largest size and got a medium sized coffee.
Was good 👍! I enjoyed my macchiato. Not everyone knows how to make it.
Delicious sweet treats and coffee is better served hot rather than iced. Quiche was a bit dry. Also women servicing us was not friendly, was brash and seemed annoyed when asked to correct the simple drink order. Like I stated previous, don’t order anything iced. However the women prepping behind the window gave me a friendly smile. Perhaps they should switch them out. Hehe. I will say the tart was amazing. The cannolis and croissants look delicious but I won’t be super excited to return.
Had to wait 45 min from ordering to get my food. Once it finally came it was not good... sandwich was cold in the middle and cheese wasn’t melted. They were insanely busy and staff is running around like chickens with their head cut off. Ordered a latte and that was decent but nothing special. Don’t ear here.
If you’re looking for healthy options and/or decaf coffee this is thee spot! I’m on limited caffeine and have had a difficult time enjoying coffee in Miami (totally understandable since Cuban coffee is amazing) but this place has every option you need. Vegan/veg/GF/DF..even some keto! Staff was delightful as well! 5+ stars
This place is a gem in south beach; the food is delicious....home style, the service is friendly and great .I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR BREAKFAST.
This place is great. First off, they play the Beatles (currently Eleanor Rigby as I write this review). I got the King Shepherd sandwich on toast (I am over baguettes 🥖 ) because I am a vegetarian and wow it was a lot of food and it was great. Really good macros to get me through the day. I also got a brewed coffee - it does the job. Social distancing on point and the cute barista rounds it out for a 5-star rating.
Ordered delivery by Eli. Received a hot cocoa with no tamper seal. And my cookie was missing. No other explanation was provided besides “we did our best, we just don’t have it” in the least customer-service tone possible. I was really excited to give Shepherd a chance since I like trying different cafes but this is a bad first impression. In the future, if you’re out of stock please call so I can have an opportunity to change my order. And make your drinks tamper proof. Maybe Eli is a great person and wouldn’t mess with my drink but besides that so many things like bugs can get into the cup. I threw the drink away. Sad that I couldn’t even try that.
Place is Ok...nothing superb about it. Nice outside seating, thats about it. The menu claims Gluten Free, however they only had gluten free bread, which was a complete let down, since their menu boast Gluten free. Avocado toast was ok. Coffee was warm. 1 star since they are a coffee shop and screwed that up.
The best coffee shop around!
Such a beautiful coffee shop and the way the stuff treat you another level 😍😍
The staff was really nice. We sat there and talked no one bothered use. Its more of a self service with a timer to let u know your food is ready. A little different but very nice. Great music too.
The employees were super nice and helpful. The coffee was alright, Iam not impressed. When the blonde boss lady walked in, she was rude to the employees. She yelled at one of them in front of customers. I have to say her communication skills are terrible especially when you have other customers around watching. She gave her customers a snobby dirty look as they were walking out of the cafe. She checked me out from head to toe as well. I will not be returning.
Cute place but it is dirty. The food is average, and the staff doesnt wear mask (well, they wear it but not covering their nose and mouth).
Excellent latte and service.Gluten-free options. Outdoor and indoor seating. I go there every day when in South Beach.
Such a cute cafe! I got the smoke salmon sandwich and it was delicious and very fresh. I also ordered an iced mocha. Some plates included orange juice or a coffee. The pastries displays looked very tempting. Only complain from the group was that the green tea frappe did not at all taste like green tea/matcha. It was bright green, which was the first indicator that it wasnt going to be good. It is a seasonal item that was on the chalkboard but not on the menu so hopefully they either perfect the drink or take it off completely because 6 bucks for a cup of disappointment isnt worth it.
Nice and welcoming establishment 👌
The only decent coffee place around with consistently appalling service.
Great outdoor seating. Perfect for people watching.
Good coffee and lemon cake! 👍
