Car buying... one of the most stressful purchases to make... was made seamless and easy at this place. I showed up here at 6pm on a Monday night and Max was at the door smiling ready to help as soon as I walked in! My husband and I had an absolutely flawless, and painless car buying trip. Max was extremely knowledgeable, and efficient but also never made us feel like we had to hurry as they close at 8. The entire process took less than two hours and I was able to drive off the lot with a beautiful new car. They want $325 for an automatic transmission fluid change, which is absolutely ridiculous. After my wife said no to that, the woman at the desk became rude with her. They ended up working on a recall issue that took over 2 hours.

Went in for them to check an oil leak on my 2017 elantra.I thought I may have had a worse problem. But I had oil changed at a quick change place who replaced my drain plug with an after market leaker.They showed me the leaky bad plug in the car.It could have resulted in a new oil pan.But I’m glad they were honest. And fixed for the price of an oil change and a new correct drain plug.ThanksI will be back for the next oil change.

So I wanted to give it a week before I made a review on my experience with this dealer. I set out with the agenda to buy a new Hyundai Sonata and was ready to purchase that day. I began searching around the CT area for what was in stock. I spoke to a guy named Frank at Meriden Hyundai who seemed respectable over the phone. He mentioned he did not have the model I was looking for in stock but I could test out the lesser trim which I was 100% for. I drove the 45 min to get to his location and was immediately presented number and papers to sign when I explicitly said I wont talk numbers till a car was on the lot that I could walk away with that day. Hard to talk numbers when you have nothing to actually sell me. In his numbers he stated despite my referencing materials which was the Hyundai Website, he could not honor any of the numbers being advertised. This was to include the 1.9% interest for perfect credit. He stated his location only offers its customers 3.9% with no regards to credit. I was a bit confused at that claim and asked why I was not being offered what was being advertised or what the purpose was to having perfect credit if I cant utilize its perks to which he responded with a rebuttal of 3.4% after speaking to a manager.There was also the monthly payments criteria I gave him which he was pushing higher rates on me saying that the Hyundai Website isnt a viable source to use when negotiating deals. A bit odd considering the website is the primary source for their advertising... When I realized I wasnt going to get to drive the car I got up and began to walk. He was not the professional guy I spoke with on the phone and never bothered to professionally handle the matter or call me back to inform me of any updated info on what cars were available or what they could get their hands on. Well that this percentage my friends, 100% will never recommend this location to any of my friends or family again. You would think with how this pandemic has affected businesses, youd be more adapt to pulling people in and trying your best to get them into the car they want... Not pushing them out the door empty handed.

I bought my palisade 2 months ago.The salesman and everyone I came into contact with at time of purchase was nothing but great. I started to notice that the back of the suv was lower then the front.i took to meriden hyundai and I was told to bring it into the bay so they can take a look at it.The didnt even bother to put it on lift to check.I went in to parlot lot and park between two other palisade. The salesman I had purchase the car from came out and notice that the back was lower on my suv then the other two other palisade model.I knew higher models different suspensions when driving but for it to be park and back is drop lower then front makes no sense.i was told there was nothing they can do do about it.Thats after I referred a friend to them who bought a car from them.tjey will never get any business from me again

Having been customers for over 23 years, not only are the staff in Service friendly, professional, and always keep you up on how the service is going. When they say the car will be ready by a certain time, it usually is. Since 1988. we have owned nothing buy Hyundais, all purchased from Meriden Hyundai. We would go no where else to buy our vehicles.
Dropped Elantra off for oil change and check tire pressure light. They didn’t apply coupons I had provided and never checked tire light. Didn’t realize discounts weren’t applied until after I paid, then they said it was too late. Had to bring back for tire light and they said tire pressure was ok but tire light was too difficult & costly to diagnose and just ignore it. Service has declined in my opinion, and is not as good as it used to be.
I was in the market looking for a new car. After a few bad experiences, I drove more than 1 hour for reaching this dealership, all because of a good rating and good previous phone communication, in general. Everything was good with them, the salesperson was very clear and straightforward. Still Im not happy with the amount of the dealership fee (paperwork and that stuff), but was reasonable. I had a misunderstanding regarding the amount of my trade-in, but I received a phone call from Haley who explained to me the figures in a detailed way (Im increasing the rating because of this).Overall, my experience was really good (I hope the same when the service time comes!). Spencer was very fast getting the car I wanted and I felt very comfortable. All was transparent and the financing from Hyundai is awesome. I recommend this dealership with absolute confidence.

This is the first and also the last time we visit this place. we took the car because a very short time after buying it, we began to hear a noise on the right side of the rear axle. thing that spread to the other side and they said they didnt hear anything. when we took it back, we dropped it off on 4/26/21 and they called us on Wednesday 4/28/21 to say they had ordered the parts and that it would be ready by Monday or Tuesday of next week. something that did not happen and not a call to notify, so it took 3 weeks and in the end when my wife today 5/17/21 went to pick up the car she still heard the same noise and they gave her the car all dirty, where even in the smaller dealers they wash it for you. The worst service not to mention all the lies they told us when we called. very bad experience, I can only mention as good, Oscar, who always treated us with respect and politeness until the last moment. We do not think we will ever return to this place !!
We never considered Hyundai until we rented a Santa Fe while traveling last year. Our local Vermont Hyundai dealer failed to stock the color and options we wanted. We searched for blue Santa Fe with leather seats. Meriden Hyundai had/has a great selection and what appeared to be a competitive price. We called even though they are three and a half hour drive from our home.Frank and Matt were great to work with, no pressure, and we are very pleased with our new blue Santa Fe Limited. We had a car to trade and was quoted a value which Meriden Hyundai gave when they saw the car. They worked with us to our satisfaction on one small issue after we took delivery.We highly recommend Meriden Hyundai. The dealer fee seemed high, but that would not prevent us from leasing another car from Meriden Hyundai.

This is the second vehicle that weve leased from Meriden Hyundai. Joe Connolly worked with us both times. Hes extremely helpful and made sure to explain the different types of vehicles and help us select the right one for our family. We also enjoyed working with Walter Cloud, the General/Sales Manager. He worked through challenges with our insurance company to make sure that we were able to pick up our new Hyundai Santa Fe on a Saturday. That was the most convenient time for us. The pricing is fair, as was the vehicle trade in price for the car we were trading in.The dealership is clean, modern and has a nice area for those waiting for service or to pick up their vehicles. We especially liked being able to see a number of different vehicles on the lot. Even though the vehicle that we ended up selecting wasnt on their lot, Sterlynn made sure that we were able to be in the car ASAP.Overall great customer service & care. Honestly this place is so unprofessional and the manager bob is very rude and sarcastic. I did not appreciate that I call to get assistance on how to manually open my hood due to it being stuck and not finding any options after reading my manual and trying to find countless videos they still cannot help me. Still had an attitude when all I asked for was a little help in getting this hood unlatched.
Like always, I was greeted by someone who was professional and friendly. From there the wait time was less than they had indicated. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. Theres a newspaper available to read and free bottles of water. When the service was completed the gentleman provided me with an explanation of the service and the paperwork so I could check out. The attached coupon for a complimentary car wash is an added bonus.

So I took my car to Hyundai dealership for a recall on my tank before I gave my car to them I had my exhaust fix and my brakes done they give me my car back about five months later only for me to drive off the lot with my three little ones in the car with me I try an stop my car and my brakes arent working I try calling several times in a panic because I almost crash only for them to answer me and tell me that it wasnt their fault it was cuz it must have been rusty like really shouldnt you have seen that when you were under it they tried to kill me and my child periodI called that number it says it not in service

All I can say is dont pay the price the service department quotes. Quoted me three hours to do a 20 minute job. When I told them I watched the repair being done on YouTube in 20 minutes, they dropped the price like a bad habit. Stay away from service, they obviously work on commission or get bonuses for selling overpriced work. Educate yourself before going to any dealer, there is plenty of info on the web. If you just enter most repairs into Google, it will tell you a reasonable price range. Fight back against predatory service departments.As an update, I emailed the owner and the price was dropped further but he did not respond to my letter. It seems this may be a practice supported by those in charge. I would and will stay away.

He answered every question I had and if he did not know the exact answer, he made sure he found out and answered my question to the best of his knowledge! He assisted me since day one and made sure he followed through till the day I drove the car off the lot, and even then he makes courtesy calls a week later to ensure satisfaction. No one is pushy for you to make a purchase.. overall everyone is fairly nice and answers questions and works with you and your budget. I am completely in love with my new(to me)/used vehicle!

Hello. it was time for me to consolidate my 4 wheel drive and compact car to one vehicle that would get me through the snow. did my research and decided on the hyundai tuscon. i live in meriden, so i stayed local and decided to visit meriden hyundai. my wonderful sales rep tim, greeted me in the lot, and right away i knew i had made a good choice coming here. there was no fast talking nonsense, i wouldnt have tolerated that, no super push for extras, i chose what i needed. when i saw the vehicle, a great color brown, i knew i wanted it before a test drive. but i did test drive it, and it drives great, i am not a high tech person, but it is pretty easy getting the feel. i met the owners, very genuine people, and i signed the contract. while signing, everything was explained easily, without rushing me, or pushing for extras, just suggestions. i had experiences where after the deal is signed, the professional courtesy goes away. tim told me i could stop by or call with any questions, and when i picked up my plate the next day, i did have a tech question, and without hesitation, was helped. i would highly recommend meriden hyundai for the service, and a great vehicle with hands down the best warranty in the business.

I had a completely different experience going to the Hartford location. Much better service, communication, and speed. At Hartford I was given a rental rather than being given a ride home and then having to call back for several days after not getting any calls, to finally show up to get my car and have it not even start. I was also charged 250$ for an inspection that I was first told would be 60, then the next time 180. I did not want to make a detailed complaint, but commenting on my review to cast me as a customer being petty over something is untrue and makes me need to clarify.

There are always free donuts for the customers and the refrigerator is stocked full of free drinks while you wait for your service. The service advisors are like family - Kathy, Tom, Oscar, and Ken are absolutely wonderful. They are so knowledgeable and go above and beyond for their customers. The service technicians work quickly and seemlessly to service the vehicles to get you in and out. And lastly, I could not be happier with my newest purchase from the sales managers, Frank and Sterlynn. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication, it doesnt go unnoticed! Iggy the salesman sold me a car and was very straight forward and very professional on the job he does best. He gave me options not giving me no pressure he is not a good salesman, he is an excellent salesman!!!! I would definitely highly recommend him cause of his honesty. And Javier the sales man was also very professional while giving information and giving me a positive response, everybody else is friendly with a smile. Also well i forgot her name, the young lady that helped me sign the papers that I signed in the office for the car. I was surprised she was very fast and professional as well and courteous of what she does best.. I was greeted promptly with friendliness. My advisor, Steve, knew what I was there for and confirmed that the oil change was complimentary (first one after purchase) before I could even ask. When the work was completed, he remembered me and approached me directly in the waiting room. (waiting room is great! Tv, computer set ups, water, newspapers, etc. Great place to hand out)
