I recently purchased my 1st brand new vehicle from Langan of Meriden and they were AMAZING! Their customer service is impeccable. Joe and Marc went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had left with smiles on our faces. I have seen 1st hand the customer service at other VW dealerships in CT and they dont even hold a candle to what Meriden can do for you!!!!

I love this dealership and the people that work there. My family and I have bought 8 cars from them over the last 16 years. They will always treat you fairly whether its your 1st car or 8th. I just bought my fifth car from a Langan family dealership. Every experience has been the exact opposite of what youd normally think of when it comes to car dealers. I have always been treated exceptionally and the purchase is always smooth and easy. If youre looking for a VW go to any Langan location and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. This was our first Volkswagen purchased at Langan and the service we received was excellent. Nick Farrington was very knowledgeable of all the cars we asked about and we did not feel pressured at all. Totally hassle free car buying experience at Langan VW. I have been a long time Honda owner and just purchased my first VW from these guys on Monday. WOW what great service! I talked to Dave at first online. I expressed to him how I hate buying cars. He told me to relax because the first price was going to be his best price. Sure enough, he wasnt kidding! I shopped his price with 2 other dealers and Daves price was by far the best price. I then called Dave and asked what I needed to do to get the ball rolling and he did everything with me over the phone and email. It was super easy! I only have great things to say about this dealership and the people who work here. My car buying experience was easy and pleasant. Nick Farrington is undoubtably the best salesman that I have ever worked with. Nick was very informed and extremely polite. I am thankful for his easy-going attitude and his patience with me. Never once did Nick, Dave, or Marc make me feel pressured or uncomfortable. They do not fit into the salesman stereotype. Not even a little. These guys worked hard to get me a good interest rate. I was given a fair amount for my trade in. I am sure that I wasnt easy to work with, since I was so nervous about buying a new car. Nick made me feel at ease by explaining things to me and giving me the time that I needed to go home and to think about my huge purchase that I was about to make. I can not say enough good things about Langan VW of Meriden. I feel that its important to note that I have no affiliation with anyone who works here. This dealership is very far from my house. Purchased a new 2017 GTI SE in early April. My salesman Darryl and the Finance Manager Marc were both great. My last job i worked at a different VW dealer in sales so i know how a store should treat you and they did it right!My old 13 Golf TDI was bought back and i also had it done at this dealer since they were one of the few that i could find with appt. times on a Saturday.They were fair and competitive when it came to price i knew the numbers or what they should have been close too and also there was no reason to fight back and forth over a couple hundred dollars when they had the exact car i wanted in stock. So take it from me you will be able to get a good and fair price from their dealer!The reason for my rating is not from my buying experience or my salesmen but when i was finally able to pick my car up it had rained quick so there were some water spots on it and some rain, hard to spot any imperfections and was just ready to get into my new car. A few days later i noticed some blemishes on the car, and also with the overall detail job done. Other than the shower before i picked it up the weather wasnt that bad. I feel the car was just washed (poorly) and spray waxed. As soon as the sun hit the glass there were streaks everywhere, also all the outside glass was water spotted. Had to clay bar all the glass...multiple times now and STILL have a little ways to go!The most frustrating part about it is the scratches i found. Right behind the drivers door handle, very common area to scratch by someone with long nails they just scratch and chip the paint. There were many scratches and a chip behind the handle. Also on the upper rocker panal there were a couple decent scratches, probably coming from a driver getting in and out of the car. Those were the biggest issues, a few small rock chips in the hood that just damaged the clear coat a little bit a scuff on the bumper and a couple other small scratches and scuffs on the car.Personally i can do a good amount of paint repair without issue...its just that doing these repairs and fixs take time and lots of it. most of the small scratches behind the door handle are gone as are some of the others i have found along with the work i put into the windshield. So far i am a good 3-4 hours of polishing and sanding to get the paint to perfect. since it is a new car.Be sure to look the car over day or night when you go to pick it up! Someone who cant do this degree of paint correction would have to get it repaired and would cost a good amount of money when it shouldnt be needed. I emailed the Sales Manager Dave Julian about the scratches a few days after but never got a single response.Great dealer and Darryl was awesome ASK FOR HIM he knows his stuff in and out and will get you in the perfect car! Just remember to look the car over good before you drive away in your new car.

The entire car purchasing process from start to finish couldnt be easier. My wife and I did all of our research online beforehand. The Jetta Hybrid we wanted to buy was highly rated on Edmunds and Consumer Reports. We went to the dealer with a price in mind. They beat it. We had a fixed timeline to make the deal and pickup happen. They met it. What a stand-up group of guys this dealership has. We wouldnt consider going anywhere else in the future. The best experience ever with buying a car! I just purchased my 2nd VW (2013 Touareg) from Langan this past Saturday and everything went just the way I expected it to..perfect! Dave the Sales Manager gave me a great price on the Touareg and gave me more for my Tiguan than I even thought it was worth! He promised me his best deal right from the start and he kept his promise! I didnt have to deal with the usual back and forth time wasting negotiations either. I showed up in the morning, met with Dave he looked at my Tiguan we went over the figures and before I knew it was off driving my Touareg! Anyone looking for a VW definitely has to give these guys a call especially Dave Julian the Sales Manager!

Awful, regarding a pre-owned vehicle purchase and subsequent customer service. A 2012 GTi with 8,500 miles was purchased. The rear wheels produced a resonating sound and vibration, which was later determined (by two other VW dealerships) to be caused by excessive inner rear tire wear. Ok, that is a known problem with this car. However, the two rear tires had a manufacture date of Jan. 2010, with apparent dry rot issues on the side walls. Two year old tires on a 2012 car? Uhhh, fine, it is plausible they sat in a warehouse waiting to be used prior to manufacture. So whats the problem?They put two new tires on the front before selling it, as those were allegedly in worse condition. It does not seem to have occurred to anyone that mayyyyybe there is an alignment issue, as I have never heard of a car destroying tires in under 10k miles (it has 12k now).Well, this is exactly what the problem was, which I resolved with a local technician, as well as the purchase of two new tires (which they also had not balanced correctly...)Worse, my visit to their service department offered nothing but disappointment. I would like to thank Wayne Vaporis for having the audacity to tell me tires are completely separate from the car, sending me on my way with no means of reconciliation besides call Pirelli. Thank you Wayne. Next time I sell you a sandwich it will be made on rock hard bread baked last month. It doesnt taste good? Call the bread company, I only sold you the sandwich. Do realize you probably could have easily convinced me to purchase the tires/service from the dealer if Wayne were not such a dick.That said, I do not recommend going to Langan VW for anything, purchases, service, or otherwise. There are several other VW dealerships in relatively close proximity that were more than willing to at least pay attention in my plight and inspect the vehicle (unfortunately redirecting me to the dealership of sale in the end). I suppose the only comforting factor in all this is that this was a company car purchase to add to our thirty something odd vehicle fleet, successfully barring Langan from consideration in the future.

David Julian is the most dedicated salesman I have seen after all the dealerships i have been in. he did absolutley everything he could to get me into the car that i wanted, and if it wasnt for him i wouldnt be apart of the volkswagen family. Al gibson made my experience at langan volkswagen pleasent and hassle free. this will be my fourth car i have owned and this was by far the easiest process for getting me out of my old lease and into a brand new car.Nevan Bard showed me just about everything there is to kno about this car inside and out. his knowlegde of the vehicle and what it has to offer also played a huge role in my decision to purchase the vehicle. I would recommend this dealership to anyone i run into that is searching for a new vehicle and i would highly recommend they ask for David Julian.
