I purchased my Mini Cooper there and was assured I could take it there for service. Just over 1 year after purchase, the thermostat went out so I took it in. I had a couple issues. First, I was told I needed a wiring harness adapter and it wasnt covered. So, I called the warranty company to be told the dealership upgraded the thermostat and thats why I needed a new wiring harness adapter. Dealership was not forthcoming with this information and I called to ask about it a couple times, always to be told they would talk to the tech and call me back. No call back. No answers. Next issue was the amount of time it was there... over a week for a 1 day job. It took the greater part of 1 day for a diagnosis. I took it back first thing the next morning for repair, which was supposed to be a 3 hour job. I was told it would be completed that day. At the end of the day, they said they got the wrong part after dismantling my vehicle so they would get it done the next morning. Well, I waited around until 11am the next day (Friday) and was then told they needed it until Monday. Then they said they got the wrong part AGAIN. The warranty company would not authorize more than 1 day for a rental since this was supposed to be a 3 hour job and Merced VW would not provide me a vehicle. Then, 1 week later they tell me they replaced the part, but my vehicle which had no leaks when it was taken in was leaking so bad, either I had to let them fix the line (and pay for it, as it wasnt covered under warranty) or I would have to tow it away. This 1 day job ended up taking over a week. In the end, they said they drove to Livermore to get the line I needed and after much grief, they ended up working with me on the cost, so at least that was good. When I picked it up, I was told they were going to applaud when they watched my car pull away. I wasnt quite sure how to take that, but the feeling was mutual. Ive had my car back for a couple weeks, and it runs great with no leaks, so they were able to fix it, it just took much longer than expected. My advice, if you have something other than their vehicle brands, take your car elsewhere, especially of its a Mini, unless you dont care how long it takes or what surprise costs they dont mention up front. I dont usually write negative reviews, but this got ridiculous and I know I appreciate reading about the experiences of others before I take my business anywhere.

We were 2000 miles from home and we had just left Yosemite leaking fuel. We got a hotel room in Merced and the next morning our car wouldnt crank. We had it towed to the Volkswagen place and they kept telling us they were going to look at it. A day and a half later they still had not looked at it so we brought it to Bobs Foreign Auto and they made it a priority. John at Bobs treated us good. They rebuilt our fuel injector pump the same day and even stayed late to finish it. We highly recommend Bobs! Thanks to Bobs we were able to get back on the road.

Being a returning customer, Im upset that I spent two days looking for the right vehicle and was told I would be called back on Monday but still havent heard back a week later.
