I normally do not shop at this Kroger location because I witnessed a RAT literally running across their packages of bread during a previous shopping trip. Told a worker in the next aisle and he seemed unfazed.That being said, I needed a particular product and, according to the Kroger website, this was the only location within a reasonable distance that sold it. So I decided to stop by.I attempted to enter the store at ~8:37. However there was a security guard at the entrance not letting anyone else come in. The store closes at 9! I understand not wanting people to come in 5-10 minutes before closing and I would not even show up to a business that close to closing time...but 20+ minutes?? I just took it as a sign to never go back to this location again...AS IF THE RODENT WASNT ENOUGH.

All krogers are bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service, but this one is special. The managers, I can only assume, receive erotic pleasure from making people wait as long as possible. Cashier starions are open so rarely and stingily that even Screwge would wince. In the middle of a pandemic they just don’t care that having people congregate in line is a health hazard. I don’t blame the fromt of line staff at all—they smile through poverty wages and do as their told. It’s the management that is vile.

A Saturday night in July 2021 and Kroger has no check out staff. They only have self check out and the line goes half way across the store and down an aisle.

This location is actually always stocked when I shop here. Ive literally left the other one on Union a couple times because they didnt have what I needed. Im sure its because they handle more shoppers overall. Anyways, I can always expect to be in and out at this location and with what I needed in hand. Very clean store. Staff follow safety protocols and are very helpful

Set up Kroger pick up this morning for a 3-4 pm window time. I get there at 2:55, check in & the store calls to tell me my order is not ready. At first there is no ETA, then when I question more the nice lady tells me in the next hr. & I get a text stating pick up is delayed to 4-5 pm. I come back in an hr.... still not ready with no eta. RIDICULOUS. Never using this service at this location again. Poor pick up management!

Has a lot going on at Krogers, but its a place with everything from cooked meals including a Starbucks, sandwich station, sushi station, hot food station, seafood station, and a bakery station to household items, pharmaceuticals etcetera. Met a wonderful employee there named Angela that only works Sat & Sundays. Awesome personality and extremely helpful. 😊 forgot to take pics inside from being so overwhelmed at all they had inside 😂😂

Rude as hell. An associate Stopped helping me to help another customer. That was the second one. Yes im Caucasian. I have a disability. They stopped helping me to help a African-American female. Right is right. Im not contagious. I want to be treated like everyone else.

Do Not Place an Online Order Here!!! Time and time again this store has been the absolute worst experience. The worst in communication, customer service and fulfilling online orders. Shop at Walmart or find another location, their lack of professionalism is ridiculous!!!

Nicely stocked, medium crowd with no wait for checkout overall a nice trip to the grocery store

A social distancing nightmare. There is not one time during the pandemic that I’ve gone to this grocery store and its not been packed. I understand that it’s an essential service but I think it would be worth limiting the number of people inside like other places are doing. There are so many people every time I go it’s physically impossible to stay six feet from another person.

I shop here every day and they have maybe restocked paper products ONCE within the last 14+ days of the epidemic. Every time I go in here the work ethic is SORRY. I know the management probably doesnt wanna order more paper products to reduce the possibility of a panic outbreak in the store, but theyve just been filling the aisle up with random sh*t that doesnt go on that aisle. Youre paid to do your job. Do your f*cking job.

A lot of what is on the shelf here is expired food. Ive never had to return groceries before buying here. Disgusting.

While visiting from Texas, I found this Kroger to be well kept, clean and stocked with sufficient items of foodstuffs. Furthermore the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Very comparable to Houston College Station and Austin locations

Since the upgrades, this Kroger location has greatly improved. The store appears to be much cleaner and better stocked. The employees are generally friendly and helpful. On my last visit, one stocker went out of his way to find me the creamer that I absolutely love. It wasnt on the shelf, but the store had just received a shipment truck. He went in the back and found the creamer for me. I was so thankful and impressed. Ive received inconsistent quality with some of the produce and meat options, but overall satisfactory. The baskets could be upgraded.

Look. Is this the prettiest Kroger around? No. Can you always find parking? Yes. This Kroger goes for form over function, and mostly pulls it off, and is way less of a clusterf**k than the Union location.

Dissatisfied with Clicklist employee. I placed an order for 6-7 pickup and the female employee called at 5 to tell me it wouldnt be ready and asked if I could pickup tomorrow. I told her I could, but it would need to be in the evening because I work. She said they would just call me and let me know what slot to pick it up, but it could be morning, midday or night. I told her again that I couldnt leave work and she told me the only option was to cancel, so I told her I guess Id have to do that. She said okay and hung up on me. I know this is a hard time for everyone, but thats no excuse for bad service.

It is a good store with a lot of great employees my only problem is it seems that every few months they move things around so you cant find anything Ive been shopping at the store for years and it makes me angry and takes me three times as long to shop. There was a manager trying to help a woman find something he did not even know where they had moved it to thats messed up.

Great location. This particular Kroger is large enough but not to big. Gas is across the street. Great service as many of the staff have been here many years.

Great prices. Always busy which is a good sign. I use the pharmacy there. Great Pharmacists at this location. Kroger employees very helpful.

What can I say...This is a convenient spot for a grocery. Its not a cornucopia, but a decent selection of most grocer items, including organic and a few kosher, gluten free options, as well as specialty meats, cheeses, and beer. Generally reasonably stocked. Also: bank and pharmacy.

Nice store. True, its not in the best neighborhood, but Ive never seen panhandlers when Ive been, although there are some strange looking people in the store sometimes. From looking at the decor on the interior, it appears it was last renovated sometime in the late 90s/early 2000s. However, the outside looks older. They have plenty to offer, and the people are helpful. Ive never had a problem with this store. They even have a little cafe that has great food. Its a nice little place to have lunch. Not the newest store, but its a great place for general grocery shopping.

Experience was fine until I reached the checkout. Young girl checking us out was talking hands free on her cell phone as she checked us out. She was still talking to her phone friend even as we left the store. I will never shop at a Kroger until they can act like they want my business.This pervasive rudeness is out of control with young people and businesses no longer seem to care. This Kroger is well organized and the employees are generally helpful and friendly. Security is good here which is important given that the neighborhood is a little rough. I feel safe shopping here even after dark.

I love Kroger. Its my favorite grocery store to shop in. However, this particular store on Union I dont care for it as much because of the bad parking. The lot is just too jammed for the amount of customers that this store brings in. Lot is so condensed and tight. Drivers always blowing at each other and difficult to turn East or West on Union; especially during the 5 oclock drive. Terrible!!!!!. In addition, I dont care for how the store is constructed at all. Aisles to short and choppy. I only shop there if I need something quick because its close to my house; otherwise, I go to Kroger in the Poplar Plaza. Again this my opinion and experience. Thanks for reading

Deli clerk was nice but dry. Store well stocked, clean. Nice produce unlike Whitehaven location which leaves a lot to be desired.

Extremely high prices, 2 or more pandhanlers in parking lot and by front door asking for money all the time, security is on the inside only, signs hanging from ceilings dont tell you where you can find everything you are looking for. The young lady at U - scan very knowledgeable, on top of her job, very helpful very nice, store always busy on inside and outside of the store.

Love this place. We are from out of town and this store reminds us of home. The shelves have always been full and we can get what we want for a fair price.

Easy to park. Not very crowded. The cashiers were very friendly and they had many of the items on the shelf I was looking for.The best Kroeger you can go to in the area.

I know Kroger runs a lot of super markets in different states and unfortunately this one in Memphis @ 1366 Poplar is not the best or average. This one has 2 guards that I see at all times, one outside on a golf cart or one inside. I highly recommend you park in the center of the lot and not to the side or near the street. This place has a lot of foot traffic from different source of customers ranging from walking, bus, & personal car. Food quality can be better at the produce aisle but can’t complain much when you have employee who obviously don’t care or cashiers who are too busy talking to co-workers than doing their job.

This Kroger is super busy and full of shoppers during normal shopping hours. But if you can shop between 11:00 PM and 1:00AM youll have the place to yourself. The night crew that stocks the shelves are always friendly and they are always knowledgeable where things are located.Mr. Johnson runs a tight ship and its always my first choice when it comes to groceries.

The lady named Vonda that works at Starbucks at this location is very rude and unprofessional. If you are not a peoples person then find a desk job. Please readjust your attitude. BTW the dragon fruit drink you fixed me was trash. Its better when the other lady with the glasses fix it.

Good store very courteous employees always ready to help. The only negative thing I have to say is stalking of merchandise that is sold on a regular basis but seems to always be out of stock for example my brand of toilet paper Dry Goods can goods but for the most part everything else is excellent.

At least one out of ten items has wrong price. Being a customer for a while, is becoming infuriating to have to price-check every single piece of grocery at the cashier. It used to be better.

One of the most cleanest bathrooms out of most of the businesses in midtown. Produce section pretty good and healthy looking, employees are tolerable and cold water fountain is great

Although this is not my usual Kroger store, I wanted to provide feedback. This us a very busy store. That said, management should make sure they are staffed appropriately. There were only 2 registers opened. The manager began working the 3rd register but he would not turn on the register light and would not allow customers to line up. He hand picked the customers for his line. That wasnt the worse part. There were no sackers. You, the customer, had to bag your own groceries. I literally thought I was in a lower chain type grocery store. My advise for management would be to hire more staff. And, remember that customer service comes first. Its ok to smile sometimes. This comment is directed towards the manager.

Very nice selection of house plants. Very few lanes were open at a busy time though but still moved sort of quickly

Parking is usually convenient. The employees are usually friendly and helpful. Theres a good variety and the produce is usually fresh.

Neat and clean. Picked out some flowers from the flower fridge and the flower lady offered to wrap them without me even asking! Very sweet!

Not a bad store at all, but the location is something left wanting. Considerable amount of beggars in the parking lot. Charity is a great employee, she helped me sort out my situation with a smile. That made it seem a lot less awkward.

This is my 10 items or less, get in get out Kroger. I could go to the Kroger on Union but that one somehow made a bad situation worse despite quadrupling the size of the building from the old one. The Cleveland Kroger gets it done without the frills but thankfully none of the fuss.

My overall experience of Kroger is great. Better than Walmart. Speaking only for myself.

I buy my wife flowers every week from Krogers I think the lady in the flower department do a great job she is very knowledgeable and I always give me great tips on changing the flowers up in Rose

This is the most immaculate K-Roger store ive ever seen. It even has a Starbucks inside. They never ask me to leave my backpack at the register and it has a bicycle repair station with tools available 24hrs

My experience at the Poplar and Cleveland location was phenomenal!! My interactions were with the Bakery. Ms. Jessie and Ms. Lashuntas customer service was stellar! They were so helpful, friendly and very professional. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel like a special customer. Kudos to Ms. Jessie and Ms. Lashunta! You ladies are A1 employees and I will definitely shop at your store again!!

This is a nice store. It has a lot of Midtown character. Its not the most aesthetically vibrant store but they work hard to keep it clean. They have hard time keeping on sale items in stock because its busy so I miss every sale unless I go early. They could definitely improve on replenishing a little better because around the First of the month it looks like a blizzard is expected with all the staples so picked over. Every time I go in there I get treated well even if they out of stuff they just say sorry and see you tomorrow and I do because its my neighborhood Kroger and every time I come back, they have what I want or give me a raincheck or substitute so their customer service is on point. My husband wanted some sushi for Sushi Wednesday and it was sold out because its tasty but I will try next week. Since it is Midtown, we get some characters coming through. I see men hovering around trying to take the closest parking spaces from the women because the parking lot at night is dark and a lot of older people be scared to shop past dusk because some of the security they got in there seem like they be scared of the rain, cold, & dark not patrolling that dark lot. Our Neighborhood Association even encouraged more of to use Click List when its raining, inclement weather, or peak times like weekends as much as possible to be safer because their lot is not well lit & security isnt always clearly present and some of those punks purse snatching know it. Their Click List is the bomb! Those orders are right and the workers are so kind. It is just nice to pull up and not have to stand in a line or worry about your safety. I will say this about Click List: Please tip them. Dont be stupid ordering a lot of stuff on Click List and not tip. Just think some of these punks may try to steal your purse, car, or whole cart and you mess around and have to park far out while security chilling inside. They put your stuff in brown bags so these fools dont see what youre buying. That is phenomenal! When its raining or bad weather, they greet you with a smile. Dont be trifling on the tipping. Everybody I know who uses it at this location Loves it because they do Click List very well.

The prices are fantastic. They are doing a good job of keeping the panhandlers at bay. Security is great, and the iron fence around the lot is a nice touch.Id shop there more often if I had a car, but its not a real nice place to be waiting on a bus.I went there today, only because I was in the neighborhood for another reason. The shopping cart locked up on me, in the middle of the lot. I thought they were supposed to do that at the perimeter. For me, that was an annoyance. For an elderly person, struggling to get a cart full of groceries to their car, it could be a major problem.

No registers open on a Saturday night. The cashier on duty walked away from his station and was just standing there talking to another employee. When I asked the store manager for help, she was rude and very unprofessional. This was the worst customer service Ive ever witnessed. The cashier and the manager should both be terminated.

Since the remodel, this store is much better. Although the store has a small footprint, the selection is good enough 99% of the time.

I wasnt gonna post anything but my experience today way awful. To start off the cake I picked up for my moms birthday was awful. The employee whose job it is to decorate the cakes was about to leave for the evening and doodled on my moms cake.. Happy birthday MOMA... looks like something a child wrote.She was in a rush to get off and clearly didnt want to do it or anything else for that matter it was apparent in her attitude towards me and her fellow staff..The lady manager, which was the sweetest took care of that problem and got me another cake.. she was the greatest. This manager really made my day .. and my moms birthday pretty special at this point . Fast forward to getting home and eating the cake. There was a piece of long gray hair in a peice of the cake ...😡😡😡 needless to say after all if that ..I was floored.I kept my cool because it was my mothers birthday and I was just so glad she wasnt the one who received that peice of cake.. I was very upset about the whole experience.. I was mad that anyone had to receive a peice of cake with someones hair in it. When I got home I tried calling the store manager just to relay my complaints but more so my concerns and low and behold I get hung up on..One of the employees answers and I explained what I needed a manager for .. she then explained it to the MOD..it was a man I cant recall the name she said but I believe it was the same guy that gave me a gift card for the bad cake initially. I can hear him ask her why did she answer the phone. She the explaines to him that she was trying to call a family member. She then laughs and disconnects the call .. When I tell you I was mad now. Which lead to me posting this review.I called back several times and someone was dialing in my ear and continuously disconnecting the call without saying a word as Ive said hello many times.. I just wanted to let them know what happened and how unsanitary it is to not have their employees wear hair nets because noone wants to eat hair.I am very hurt as to how the latter part of this situation was handled. I didnt want anyone else to have the same experience this is why I called..but my customers service at this time was awful and the message was never relayed .I hope someone reads this in store and can make sure the proper precautions will be taken next time so noone has to have the same experience as I did. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS KROGER. That has been prepared by any employee at that store.

There are only two Krogers I visit the one one Summer and the one on Cleveland in Memphis and the check out clerks have been very nice and greets me with a friendly voice.

Talk about BAD Customer Service!! My last time going to this Kroger SMH. JUST GOES TO SHOW KROGER NEEDS TO BE MORE CAREFUL WHO THEY OUT IN THESE POSITIONS.

Its the 3rd of the month, and everytime theres one person working customer service, and the line is backed up. This happens at multiple locations. This is absolutely ridiculous for paying customers to wait in line for long periods of time. You all know its the 1st and 3rd. Have extra staff on hand.

Ok store still feels a little unsafe noticed guy following women in the store a little too close and he also followed a woman to her car. Security was no help they stood by the floral department talkin instead of watching out for the customers. Items in the store are not easily found. Self check out was clean. No one says good morning and when you do some employees just look like you said something wrong. Overall it could be better with customer service and the customers safety.
