Serendipitous discovery!Minimalistic decor, excellent service and warm ambiance. The barista was congenial and patiently explained about the process and menu items.I tried their Saigon Cinnamon tea with oat milk, the barista addressed this oat milk cookie. I loved it - it had subtle but perfect flavor. The tea was brewed to perfection, the barista weighed the tea leaves and brewed them to correct temperature by having a timer. Her efforts provided with a quality tea.My friend tried hazelnut cappuccino, it feasted wonderful too. Their bakery items are good too. When I informed the barista that I want something like chai latte, she explained about all the teas, their flavors and which one goes well with milk. They have non dairy options like oat milk, almond milk. So, they are vegan friendly too.The venue is like a coffee shop with clothing boutique. So, you can even shop (clothes were a lil expensive for my budget), while sipping your coffee.
Excellent coffee! I love everything about this place!! Everyone there was really friendly, and I enjoyed the look and feel of the place in general. Im from Chicago and was only passing through Memphis for a day, but if I lived in Memphis this would be my go-to coffee shop. I cant wait to brew the beans I bought once back home!
Low Fi Coffee is the go-to shop for your coffee (and tea and delightful morsel) needs in Memphis! If you havent given them a try, go now...like RIGHT NOW! Owners Bailey and David sling what is, in my opinion, the best coffee in town. Their talent and commitment to excellence is a breath of flavorful air. It is obvious they love what they do and truly CARE - about coffee and about you! Low Fi has the largest selection of coffees available in Memphis- a variety of regions and roasters - and its baristas take the time with you to figure out your palate and which coffee you will like best that day. They painstakingly develop charts for grind coarseness, weight to water ratios, and brew times for every bean they sell. They also have espresso that slays (from the mod-bar)! It is sublime in its goodness. Better still, they have a range of teas, both hot and on draft, tea drinks (like matcha), and multiple non-dairy options for milk for those of us who cannot (for any reason) take dairy. Low Fi is Memphis best coffee, but it is more than that - it is Memphis most talented and excellence-oriented coffee and etc.!
Great spot for an appetite of any size. next time ill be back with my relatives. prices that wont shock you. similar to a place in denver i loved.
Food was so fresh. Quick and friendly service. Bring your hunger - portions are generous.
Incredible flat white. Hit this on my way through Memphis, and its 100% worth stopping for. Very friendly baristas. Theyre inside a warehouse area, but have plenty of small tables & seating. Lots of natural lights. No syrups, etc but their coffee is so good you dont need it. Great focus on espresso quality. Inclusive feel - overall great coffee shop.
Not sure how long this place exists, but it was a good discovery, modern looking sparsely designed and clean space, sharing the same building and store front with other business. Had coffee latte, with whole milk. Came in the clear glass jar, as I normally avoid paper containers. Note, this is the sweetener-free coffee place, however, my drink really did not need any sugar or anything else, was just right, very smooth and balanced flavor with the right amount of foam on top, that was stable for 10+ minutes. Certainly, will come back when in this part of town, and will try other menu choices!
Simply amazing! They dont just make coffee here, they live and breathe it. Talented people, using the best coffee, making everything with a focus on quality. This is not just your average neighborhood coffee shop. Some of the best coffee I have had in a while, and I travel around the country trying different cafes and coffee roasters. The pour over I had was so smooth and extracted perfectly. Not a hint of bitterness or overextraction. Thanks for such an incredible experience.
The go-to place for a perfect pour-over.David & Bailey - the owners - are super friendly and are always thrilled to talk to you. They also have great table seating for when you need to get some work done. They usually have three different roasters on bar and pick a yummy selection of coffee offerings.Youve reached the end of my review, now go treat yourself!
It doesnt get any better than Low Fi. The coffee is delicious, delectable and smooth as hell. It is rocket science coffee broken down into the simplest of terms. Low Fi is a gift to Memphis. Grab a cup or better yet bring your own cup and be blown away by the goodness you are about to put in your body. Dont be bitter that you have been so mislead by other coffee shops, just be glad for Low Fi. They also sell the best reusable cups out there. Buy one and filler up everyday.
Low Fi Coffee is without a doubt the best place to buy and drink coffee in town. Their commitment to quality, consistency and service is what sets them apart from the competition.Dave and Bailey take to time to research and seek out the best brands available to offer to customers in their shop. They have chosen solid, highly respected companies from whom they purchase food, drinks and brewing related products. There are always new coffees to choose from when i come in to drink my pour-overs.Low-Fi employees are well trained coffee experts who take very passionately the task of educating their patrons and most importantly, providing drinks that live up to their standards each and every time. I have learned a lot about coffee from Bailey and David. They helped me purchase the right products for my home brewing needs as well as helped me see what they are doing when they make certain drinks in shop. They employ unwavering methodology to each task. I appreciate the care they give to each coffee they serve me and their commitment to sharing their knowledge with others.Lastly, Bailey and David are always friendly and I feel welcomed each time I walk in the shop. Whether i am stopping in to chat for a while or just passing through to get a bag to go, they make me feel like family. If you go I am sure that you will feel like family too!***I love going to Low Fi Coffee. Go drink a coffee with them today.***the good kind of feels like family -not the kind that says you will never amount to anything or that you never do anything right or that criticizes your job
Taste is everything!! Nestled inside the fashionable lifestyle store, Stock&Belle and below Salon 387, Low Fi is one of the things that makes South Main great! The knowledge and care that goes into every cup will blow your mind and with their love of people, coffee and all things Memphis, the people behind the counter will warm your heart.David and Bailey care about the drinks they make from single bean to last drop. Drink quality and service are both lovely and consistent - the tea, coffee or drink with milk may change but it will always be delish. Low Fi is a great place to relax and refresh, people watch, browse or pop in and out of...recommend to everyone, all the time.
Something truly different. They were the best coffee in Memphis when they were just a pop-up and they keep getting better every day. With a great rotation of beans, the best nitro recipes for coffee and tea; this little coffee counter is passionate, responsible, rigorous. You can taste the courage of the couple running this place in every sip. So proud to have them in my neighborhood.
Low Fi is a crossroads of good company and great coffee. Bailey and David have dedicated a large portion of their lives to the art and science of coffee consumption, and it shows. They offer a dynamic, holistic take on the age-old tradition (while only partnering with fair trade coffee roasters). Low Fi has curated a coffee experience that is both natural and delicious -- something that Memphis has been waiting on for a long time.
This is the place where you get the specialty coffee experience without the arrogance. Low Fi is the essential neighborhood coffee shop that offers a place to gather, people watch, relax, learn about coffee or just shoot the bull (about anything under the sun) with the wonderful owners. They are unmatched in their attention to detail, customer service and the quality of products/beverages.
There is a reason I drive 40 miles round trip for my coffee needs; its called love. Low Fi is my safe space where ideas, great conversations, friendships and connections are created. This is all due to the safe and loving space David and Bailey provide. This space for me provides a home away from home. A refuge where all the daily troubles melt away and a place where I can destress and challenge myself to leave my comfort zone. This space has played a huge role in accepting change and moving forward. Not only has it afforded me the confidence to dance in my own skin but it has awakened realization of my full potential. Cheers to many more years and what the future holds. Love y’all! David and Bailey are the best. They are a sweetener free cafe because they and you are sweet enough! Their choices are always spot on. Last but not least, Stop by Sunday’s for vinyl and a boost!
Low-Fi is the single best coffee shop Ive ever been to (and Ive been to a lot)! David and Bailey are (in addition to being super caring and genuine people) perfectionists, and every drink they serve is consistent and delicious. Their signature nitro cold brew is a must-try, and in my opinion their cappuccinos are unmatched, but you will not be disappointed by any drink!
Best coffee in the city. No question, not even a contest!David and Bailey are also some of the most amazing people I have ever met! Come see them and let them lead you away from American coffee consumerism and into the way coffee is supposed to be drank
Best coffee ever. I had no idea coffee could taste this amazing. The atmosphere is nice and there is a lifestyle store occupying the same space. It’s nice to see the and chat with the owners, get coffee and be blessed by the experience.
This is a non sweetener cafe. Don’t come here for a sugary syrupy sparkly drink. You won’t find it. What you will find are people that care a great deal about coffee and your understanding of what incredible coffee can and should be.The proprietors are wonderful people that will remember you directly after the first visit. There are no strangers here. Relax and enjoy some of the finest coffee in Memphis. Also, it’s fun to watch people on Bird scooters fall on the trolley tracks. Maybe that’s just me.
I go to this place all the time when Im in the downtown area. Its the best coffee in Memphis hands down. You can really tell they really care about their craft in every sip. I love the ambiance of this place as well.p.s. This place is recommended for people who really enjoy actual coffee flavors over sugary syrups.
Low Fi is such a special spot! They bring in different roasts from around the country so you’re always able to try something new! Perfect place to get some work done, people watch, or just for grab and go.
Lo-fi coffee is a gem of a coffee shop. The people working there genuinely know what they are talking about and put time and effort into selecting their coffee. They are not the cream and sugar flash steam and have out to you in less than a minute coffee shop they are the real deal this is the best cup you will have type. In my original review I mentioned that they were closed and they responded within a day. Impressive keep up the good work guys
The best cup of coffee I have ever had. *Ever.* I was visiting (from D.C.) and will seriously always be yearning to recreate that perfect cup!! These guys know what theyre doing, and the ambience in the shop is great. You need to go there.
David and Bailey have created a wonderful minimalist coffee shop in the heart of Downtown Memphis. They are always upbeat and excited to tell customers new and returning about their craft and products. Its my favorite spot to come to and enjoy coffee in a relaxing atmosphere.
Bailey, David, and Zack all have a distinct love for coffee and people alike. I always feel like family when I walk in the door. They invest just as much time into their customers as they do the craft of coffee making. If you’re looking for delicious, well-crafted coffee and a friendly staff, look no further than Low Fi!
The owners of Low Fi are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced coffee craftsman Ive encountered around the country. I always seek out the best cup in any city I visit and after moving to Memphis this was recommended and did not disappoint! If you only drink the best, this place is for you.
Bailey and David are wonderful people serving wonderful minimalist coffee and tea by hand. All of their drinks are pro quality, conscious (they are tight with all of the roasters and tea purveyors they get their supply from), and genuine just kind people putting great stuff into the world and Downtown Memphis.
As a European traveling in the US, its often very frustrating to find good coffee. This place easily was one of the best coffee Ive ever had, and the guy working there was extremely friendly.
The owner was so kind and he recommended some of the best coffee creations. I had a cold tea latte on tap and it was phenomenal.
Bailey and David consistently deliver an amazing product while cultivating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I love the varieties of beans they bring in. The chill record spinning Sundays are definitely worth checking out. Their shop is one of my favorite places to be in memphis.
I love this little shop in downtown Memphis! They’re always good to bring in some fantastic third wave coffee roasters from around the country! The shop is dedicated to the art and craft of hand poured coffee and thought out espresso extractions. They always have a nice selection of coffees on the bar and are always helpful in directing you to something that will be enjoyable for you.go check them out!Gear - Modbar espresso / V60 pour over / Mahlkonig grinder
Low Fi supplies me with my daily pick-me-up that allows me to be a functioning human. David and Bailey serve you the best coffee with a heaping side of TLC. Located in South Main Memphis, they serve as the heartbeat of the coffee community. 🗣 WE STAN LOW FI! ♥️
Some of the best coffee that you can get in all of the greater Memphis area. If you’re skeptical, they will make you a believer! Low Fi has already converted my mom to taking her cappuccinos with no sugar.David and Bailey are amazing people and they are passionate about what they do. To say that they make coffee is a severe understatement. Give them 1 try, and you’ll see.
Super love lowfi coffee!!David and Bailey strive every day to make the product they serve just a little more perfect! If you are a fan of coffee (or not, they have stuff for you as well) you will absolutely love the product you receive, as well as the atmosphere and conversation!
A very welcoming place! David and Bailey are incredible and their coffee and tea are too!!! They are very passionate about what they do and I couldn’t ask for more.
Man, Bailey & David are the greatest. You are guaranteed to be greeted at Low-Fi with a huge smile and fantastic coffee. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like here! Best coffee in Memphis.
Great coffee! Great folks! I love them and so does my dog. Always friendly to both of us every time we walk thru the door!
Bailey + David know what theyre doing at Low Fi! The knowledge they have about coffee is so vast, and theyre always willing to walk you through the menu and your choices. Hands down the best coffee joint in Memphis! If youre in the area, stop by and see them for a flash brew or nitro latte!
This is a fantastic coffee shop with a wonderful staff. Coffee has never tasted this good before! And its dog friendly!!
I was a little hesitant to try this unsweetened/additive free coffee, but Im so glad I did! The taste is phenomenal. Low Fi knows how to make coffee. I cant wait to try more!
A refreshing break from the normal coffee shop and charbucks. The owners are authentic and super nice. Favorite and tasty place to get a coffee or espresso in Memphis. A must try!
Native Memphian here telling you this is the best coffee the city has seen and will see for a long bit - David and Bailey work so hard to bring in the best selection of coffees and teas (and on top of that are SO DANG NICE). I crave the vegan nitro latte regularly and am always excited to learn about their new espressos. You cant leave disappointed knowing youre supporting local people who love the planet and love what they do!!!
Gorgeous place with incredible coffee. David is a wonderful person who I enjoyed speaking with. He truly understands coffee, and does his craft right. LowFi has a very clean, professional coffee bar, with a very unique espresso machine that Ive never seen before. They do not serve to-go drinks, which I absolutely love. David said that they aspire to have as little waste as possible. More coffee shops ought to function this way. Sustainable, communal, beautiful, and modern. Very, very lovely. HIGHLY recommend
Low Fi coffee has some of the best coffee in Memphis. Not only that, but the owners are some of the best and nicest people you’ll ever meet. I’ve never had a bad experience with them.
Humble yet superior in quality, community engaged, friendly. Wether work or relaxing, Perfect place to pass the day. Bailey, David and Zack are a perfect fit for a growing S. Main arts district.
Great coffee and better people! Ive been going since it was a single machine at Bozwell and Lily pop up (also great) on N Main and dont plan on stopping anytime soon.
Lo-Fi Coffee is the go-to spot in Memphis for specialty coffee. Their offerings for espresso-based-drinks as well as pour overs are unmatched in the 901-- their Nitro Tea and Cold Brew are insanely good too. They have a great variety of hot and cold beverages as well as pastries for snacking. Lo-Fi also has an incredible selection of bagged coffee if youre looking to upgrade the coffee you make at home.Owners Bailey and David are incredibly welcoming and always do an awesome job! Sometimes I know exactly what I want to try, while others I leave it up to them-- either way Ive never had a bad cup of coffee at Lo-Fi. One of the things I love most is the welcoming atmosphere. They do a great job avoiding the pretentious aura that is sometimes associated with specialty coffee shops. If youre passing through Memphis, or just need to spend an afternoon getting some work done, Lo-Fi is seriously worth the visit.
Excellent atmosphere, service and products. Tried a flash brew and it was fantastic. Worth the high price
Low Fi is by Far my favorite place to be in Memphis. If you are a coffee lover, enthusiast, or not Low Fi is the place to go. Low Fi is the Original Third wave coffee shop in Memphis. Third wave coffee means you look at coffee the same way you look at Fine Wine and other Artisanal Foods.Owners David and Bailey and newest member Zack are some of the best people in Memphis who also happen to have a serious passion for coffee. Every drink is broken down to a science and if does not meet their standards they will not serve it. That being said they have an extremely high bar for each drink that is served.Be warned because they are a third wave coffee shop they are a sweetener and creamer free Cafe. Do not let this scare you off. They have a number of drinks that have milk or milk substitutes that are excellent as well a Mochas or few tea selections that are naturally on the sweeter side.If you ever find yourself in Memphis and are looking for a good coffee shop, you need to stop at Low Fi. You wont regret it
Ive been travelling through the US for 6 weeks and the coffee I got from Low Fi Coffee was hands down the best coffee I have had since being in this beautiful country. I would come back to Memphis for this coffee alone.
Always phenomenal service. Both Bailey and David couldnt be more helpful, knowledgeable, personable or polite. Theyre the kind of people you feel good about handing your dollars over to!
Friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Great coffee
Best pour over in Memphis. period.super knowledgeable, and open about their philosophy on coffee. highly recommended
The coffee is absolutely incredible, and the staff and owners are excessively knowledgeable and friendly. The space is open with a lot of natural light, and the seating is sparse. It is not an internet-cafe space to hang out all day(though they do have free wifi!) but it is definitely the place to get the best cup of coffee in town, in my opinion.
Great coffee, great people. I’m so glad the Lo Fi Coffee team decided to make Memphis home. If you’re downtown, make sure you check out their shop!
Amazing coffee experience, all the way around. These folks have single-handedly changed the coffee game in Memphis and we are overjoyed they are here. Three cheers for Low-Fi!
Best coffee in Memphis. Blend of West Coast style roast and mindfulness
This place rules. Low Fi is slinging the best coffee in Memphis, and they source and sell the best beans as well. If you find yourself in South Main and looking for a caffeine fix, hit them up.
This place is swell. Not only is the coffee selection curated by some passionate coffee fans every week, providing a variety of palate-enriching roasts for us to try, but David and Bailey (LoFi’s proprietors) are as nice as can be.
The coffee was good and barista was knowledgeable. But $5 for a one cup pour over is too pricey. Also, no cream for coffee. They only had whole milk. There are better choices nearby.
Super knowledgeable and friendly owners. Seem very dedicated to their craft and local scene. Really good coffee!
Amazing multi-roaster that emphasizes an amazing and personal customer service experience. Space is a bit too small for a large group, but excellent for couple or getting work done.
Friendly and knowledgeable baristas crafted delicious pour overs with care.
Best coffee in town, no doubt, great service and atmosphere, David is a friendly person and great barista. 👍👍
$30 for unsweetened anything 4 drinks👎..but the Customer service was sweet🌟
Quality coffee and people! No frills, just the best of the best! Low Fi is always top of my list every time I’m in Memphis.
Excellent coffee, good conversation, and good location for anyone downtown or in South main. Highly suggest.
Expertly made latte, just not hot enough.
You can’t go wrong with low fi coffee. great coffee, great people, just a great experience all around.
Love this place. It’s gotta be the best specialty coffee spot in Memphis. Do yourself a favour and try the Tanzanian Mocha, amazing!
Best coffee in Memphis! Get a pour over or nitro cold brew. Great people and great coffee!
If you are a connoisseur for coffee, then this is one of the best places you can visit in Memphis!
Giving 5 stars for optimism... But as of 1/18 they appear temporarily closed. Call before you go.
I’m a fussy Aussie coffee consumer and thankfully found low fi. Coffee is as good as anything I have tasted, the couple running it are passionate about what they do and helped me feel welcome in a new environment. A must visit when in Memphis
The pour over coffee ☕️ is the best! No cream or sugar just right! Will return!
Owner truly cares about coffee and his craft. If I lived in the city I would be here regularly.
As an avid coffee drinker, I was looking for my coffee place as soon as I moved to Memphis. After my first experience at Lowfi Coffee, I knew I found it. My favorite drink is the Liquid Crack, an iced cold brew with a splash of milk. You can really taste the quality of the coffee beans. My friend and I go there every Friday morning before work because we not only enjoy the coffee, but also the ambiance and the awesome baristas, Bailey and David. You can sense their passion for their product, Memphis, their customers and the environment.I always leave the place feeling energized by the coffee and the conversation! I highly recommend this place!
Friendly and knowledgeable owners, great selection of beans, and delicious coffee. Lucky to have them in the neighborhood!
LowFi is the gold standard for third wave coffee in Memphis! David and Bailey are relentless in their commitment to craft. If you’re a coffee connoisseur you’ll immediately recognize and appreciate their devotion to presenting coffees in their optimum form. If you’re new to high end coffees or you want some advice on how to take your coffee game to a new level at home, they’re always glad to help steer you in the right direction and send you home with a bag from their expertly curated assortment of coffees from nationally-renowned roasters like Sump, Heart, Onyx, et al. plus the necessary accoutrements from Hario, Baratza, and more.
The coffee was amazing and the overall vibe was super great! The barista was so nice too
Top 3 coffees in memphis. A must go
Run by expert barristas, but they aren’t snooty! Good place for espresso newbies, they are happy to help you figure out what you want!
Exceptional coffee, great music and atmosphere
I love and miss you Low Fi. Can’t wait til you re-open!
Phenomenal coffees, brilliant staff, extra chill atmosphere. A+++
Nice little jewel in the city. Espresso was delicious
Good beans and friendly staff.
Bailey and David offered great customer service! Great coffee!
Delicious Coffee! Friendliest Service!
Delicious cold brew and oat milk as an option!
Excellent coffee. Great people running it.
Really cute space and amazing coffee!
Fantastic coffee, friendly staff. Loved it.
No decaf coffee. Like, proud of the lack of decaf. I’ve lived in Chicago, and nowhere in that city did they refuse to carry decaf. Just go down the street to Bluff City.
Cortado was brilliant.
Delicious coffee in a beautiful space.
