Great store which carries a wide selection of Memphis related music and global garage/punk. Many artists in the latter genre are featured in the store’s curated Gonerfest every late summer. Which is a heck of a good time and a great excuse to visit the wonderful and historic city of Memphis!

Was in the store this afternoon, Sunday 6/20. What a great inventory and the selections have been meticulously labeled and laid out in an orderly fashion. Great selections and the staff all create a very positive vibe. Also, in a very hip part of town. ( cant believe I just used the word hip) but you get the picture.

Lots of new vinyl. Less used. Even less rare or collectible. Would rate 4 stars if I were just into collecting new vinyl.

Best record store to shop at, and incredibly friendly staff. I was looking for several Paul McCartney albums, and a staff member pointed me in the right direction. The overall vibe is very appealing, and I can’t wait to spend more loot in there again very soon. Cheers!!

How about making things easy on the customer? Why should I have to go home pull the cartridge off of my record player and bring it in for you to look at before you sell me exactly what Im telling you that I need. Add that to the fact that you guys are never friendly and I dont plan on ever coming back.

A nice place hidden in the outskirts of Memphis. Good place to visit if youre looking for vinyls.

Wouldnt let me in although no one was in the store and said they were booked for the rest of the day. I understand covid pressure, but no more than 2 people by appointment is ridiculous.

Hands down, best record shop in town.

Wasnt allowed in without an appointment. Even after the 2 people who were in there left they would still not allow me to shop. I get it we should be weary of covid hotspots, but this will inevitably hurt their business.EditThanks for the response and updated measures.

Big Salute to the family over at Goner Records. Sometimes when I come in to pick up records they may not have them, but they do I have a problem at all what order them on my behalf. A Tennessee landmark!

Very nice record store, wide selection with reasonable prices. They always have something that’s very nice in stock, workers know how to jam in the place and help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Neat little store. Good selection of used punk records. I found the Canadian pressing of the S/T Clash LP. The one with the blue cover instead of green. Found a couple other nice punk records too. I would go again next time I am in Memphis.

I showed up to support local business by purchasing some records here, but they have a sign stating appointments only. I will stick to buying my records online.

Unfair to review this place. An institution all on its own, it is great to find not only an indie record store, but also one of such quality and character. Do not miss if youre passing through Memphis.

Goner is well known as a punk rock label but their store in the heart of the Cooper-Young district has a vast and comprehensive catalog of vinyls and some cds too.Hard to come home empty-handed!

Never found any deals but local selection of blues and punk/garage is really good. Main competition is shangri la, I feel SL has a larger selection. Goner seems to be a little more in the local seen google: GONERfest
