Fantastic place. Fantastic people. This was the best experience I have ever had in customer service. I drove over 3 hours expecting just to pick my bike up. Nope, they made sure to make us feel welcome every second. They got every accessory we bought on the bike taught us about some other models they had and even made sure the bike I got was adjusted to fit me perfectly. As a new rider I had never felt more welcome into a new hobby. These are the kind of people I would send anyone I’ve ever met to if they were interested in getting a bike and know they wouldn’t be disappointed in the slightest. You all are great and thank you for such an amazing experience!

I drove from Houston (due to the bike shortage). The selection of products and the assistance I received in choosing between the mens and womens FX3 bikes were outstanding. In fact, no other bike store had both bikes in stock in size medium. Not everyone is gonna drive nearly 600 miles to get to Trek East Memphis, but thanks to Morgan, Charlotte, and the rest of the friendly staff, its well worth it.Side note: Memphis is a great city to tour. Its friendly, manageable, and deeply historic. I enjoyed the National Civil Rights Museum (very powerful seeing where Dr. King was assassinated), Graceland (well worth a visit, but allow at least 4 hours), and the legendary Stax Records (Isaac Hayess gold-plated Cadillac is jaw dropping).I took my bike -- aptly named Memphis -- out for a 25-mile ride on Saturday, and it was a joy. Bought my first mountain bike here, and the staff were excellent. The guy who helped me was very knowledgeable, helpful, and recommended products that were useful for mountain biking. He didnt try to push any products on me that I wouldnt need. He correctly sized me for the bike, and I took it home the same day. Id recommend this shop to anyone.

I just want to say that if anyone is to give you the quality care you need for your bike, I would highly recommend Josh. He literally goes out of his way to make sure that your bike is in good standing. Coming from someone who understands the ties that go along with riding the bike on the daily basis, he knows all of what you will need. I was very grateful because he actually goes over and above with his job. I really needed an upgrade from my Walmart bike 😂 so I decided to check out Trek in East Memphis. When I arrived, I was greeted by Travis. He was very kind and he listened to what I needed. He was very knowledgeable of their products. He directed me to a bike and when I rode it, I immediately fell in love!! He had all the accessories I needed for my ride. He made sure I was comfortable as they put the accessories on. I had a lot of questions but he was patient with me. He showed me how to use the gears, how to remove the tires, everything I needed to know because the functions, etc were new to me. He made my bike buying experience today easy and pleasant!! I am very happy with my purchase, the quality of my bike and service that Travis provided. The other staff members were friendly and kind as well!! Oh, did I say I love my bike?!!! I started my journey to Trek by looking at another brand. After striking out, I asked some coworkers and friends about their bikes and they recommended Trek. I looked at the Trek website and found what I was looking for, an FX1. On the downside, the store didnt have one. On the upside, they had an FX2, a little more money than I wanted to spend, but I am glad I bought this bike! I love it! The staff was attentive and professional, not pretentious nor stuffy as some bike places can be. It was a great experience. A special thanks to Morgan for the once over, delivery and sell. I cant recommend these guys enough.

I went into the store hoping to find a Roscoe 8, but the store did not have what I wanted in stock. Charlotte was very helpful and called around to two other stores and found exactly what I wanted in a Germantown,TN store. Charlotte was friendly, professional and went out of her way to provide me with a great experience, her demeanor reflects positivley on her and your store.

My experience buying my son a bicycle at Trek Bicycle East Memphis was beyond exceptional. It was likely the best experience I have ever had buying a bike. Jordan was not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but he gave great consideration to safety for my son and what would be the best bike for him. The store itself was clean and high tech, and given the current climate, their process for maintaining cleanliness and distance made me very comfortable. We went to two bike places before, and it was a completely different experience - no customer service and I did not feel I could trust the sales people helping us. I cannot be more pleased with the fact that I gave my money and put my trust in Trek Bicycle East Memphis. I will ONLY shop there from now on - even for tune ups! My son is biking every day and LOVES his Trek!

Josh Jorgensen did a phenomenal job in customer care. Due to the high volume of work orders at the Germantown location, I was referred to East Memphis. Josh not only took time to evaluate my concern via phone despite their own store receiving high-volume, but assisted me with the “steps” toward a resolution by asking for emailed photos of my bike’s issue to give him an idea of the severity and service needed without me driving 4 hours roundtrip!Of course, as he pointed out, this wasn’t a definite prescription, but an educated opinion that would at least get us headed in the books and toward a service date.Once he viewed my photos, he immediately contacted me and guessimated that I needed to replace the cables on my 6 year-old dual sport... I was overjoyed to have such professional care and insight within a 24 hour window! We settled on a service date that coincided with my Germantown pickup.While my bike was in Josh’s care, our Germantown work order finished early. I called to notify Josh, but he wasn’t available so I left a message with Trent.Trent called me back just to assure me my message was delivered to Josh. WOW! This store has EXCELLENT representatives who understand phone etiquette! Charlotte was another East Memphis employee I had the privilege of discussing my particular case with during my bike’s pre- and post service. My elite bike computer and duo trap sensor were installed, and setup as promised. Now I can train and track my performance, comparing to GPS data.Thanks to Conner and the Service manager.They also replaced the presta tubes on my other bike due to pinch flats, low tire pressure.Came by the shop to get a Bontrager RIDEtime Elite Cycling Computer with DuoTrap S installed on my Emonda`ALR4 on Saturday, October 9, 2021. It took about 30 minutes and the job was complete. When I got home I noticed that the Bontrager Flare R City Rear Bike Light was missing. Evidently the technican (Nick V) took it off to do the installation and fail to put it back on, upon finishing. I will go by the store on Monday, October 11, 2021 to bring this to their attention. I went in looking for a bike for my daughter and got a nice bike. They staff was very helpful and friendly. Hal made sure that we got the right bike for my daughter. We took the bike in a few weeks later for some minor adjustments and the mechanic got us serviced in less than 10 minutes and we were back on the road. I was impressed with the service and the quality of bikes. I will be back.

Really great bicycle shop in Memphis. I needed a bike to ride for the weekend and they had a lightly used carbon Cervelo in my size. Bike worked out, was able to ride for two days, had a wonderful time. Highly recommend taking with Jeremy at the downtown location or Hal the owner.

I was on my way from Northwest Arkansas to Florida and was nearing Memphis when I realized my bike rack on my roof wasn’t as secure as I thought! My local bike shop sent me to Peddler’s to have someone look at it. When I got there, Andy came out (in the rain!) and looked at my bike rack. He was able to fix it so that the rack and bike were secure on my roof so I could finish my trip. I was able to drive the rest of the way without any other issues! I’m so grateful for his help!We weren’t able to spend a lot of time looking around the shop, but wish we could have! Very nice shop with what looked like a huge selection of anything you could possibly need or want.

I went in Sunday to shop for a mountain bike. I had been to a few other stores in the area and they didnt really have what I was looking. I did find a few mountain bikes at one of the stores but they were very high priced. I was able to walk in, talk to someone who knew what they were talking about and walk out with the perfect bike for me. I will recommend this place to friends and family and if I am in the need for another bike, equipment, or repairs I will stop by. Awesome place and great experience!

The service at this Trek location was better than I have experienced at other locations thanks to Jacq! She went above and beyond ESPECIALLY during these unprecedented times. I was surprised that this shop was actually open but, I was so thankful that Jacq was there to help when I found my bike unridable that morning. She was knowledgable on how to fix my bike and what I needed to buy. I will recommend my friends. She is the reason why I will come back and buy a new bike soon. The work was done correctly and finished a week ahead of time.

I have been going to The Peddler all of my life. But that is NOT the reason I go there now. I go there because the bike mechanics always know what they are doing and help me to decide the best course of action with issues I have with one of my bikes. The location is also close and if possible I ride my bike there to get service.

Friendly mechanics, great service. I was recently visiting Memphis to see friends and run a triathlon. As I was coming from across the country, I opted not to fly with my bicycle and instead looked at options for renting one for the day. With luck, I came across Peddler Bike Shop online. Not only would they be able to rent me a road bike, but they helped make sure it was at the race site, was sized correctly, and made all of the required adjustments that I needed to ride comfortably. If you are a cyclist in Memphis -- or just visiting and want to rent a bike -- these are your people.

My girlfriend and I are new to the adult world of biking the streets/trails without an engine. After shopping multiple stores, we arrived at the Peddler. The Trek bikes seemed to be the best fit we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff that nailed what we were looking for....9 miles in after work today, thoroughly enjoying the new bike great choice!

Right now I am a very happy Peddler customer. I found a hot pink beach cruiser on the website and went to get it. Turns out I was on the TREK website and the bike was out of stock. I was willing to settle for a different color, but wanted to think about it. Went back the next day and was told that they located the bike I wanted in New Jersey and could get it for me. It took only a few days. When I arrived to pick it up, it was all assembled and just gorgeous. They worked with me sizing it properly and made sure I knew to bring it back if any adjustments are needed. I recall buying my kids bikes at Peddler years ago after being treated poorly in another bike store in our midtown neighborhood. I will continue to fulfill my bike needs at Peddler and recommend it to anyone who asks.

They charged $12 labor to put on a tube and tire and inflate that took 5 minutes. Not impressed. I am sure it is a great shop if you are really into biking and have plenty of money for it.

I have been a customer of Peddler Bike Shop Highland for over 10yrs. They have been very good to me. For those negative reviews about lack of attention or long wait times I disagree. The store often has quite a bit customer traffic so quite naturally you may not be tended to immediately. Please believe that Peddler Bike Shop Highland cares about satisfying all of their customers new & old.

The Peddler Bike Shop is an outstanding store. The employees are very amicable in demeanor and knowledgeable when it comes to bicycles. They were able to find the right size bike for me and suggested well suited bikes for my type of riding.This isnt some wussy Wal-mart brand bicycle store. They sell real bikes. Real bikes do not come cheap and neither do their parts. Their bikes are quality. The merchandise available is primarily composed of Trek and its relations such as Bontrager and Electra.I highly recommend this store to the avid, intermediate, and the novice biker. With quality bikes for fair prices and a smart, friendly staff, The Peddler Bike Shop is a store worth ones time.

Overall, the place is good. Daniel especially is the bomb! Please, give that man a raise. He has always made me feel welcome and has taken good care of me. I use this bike shop a lot because its the closest one to my home and I commute to work daily. They usually have the part I need in stock and any bicycle repairs are an order of magnitude cheaper than a car repair, so I wouldnt mind spending money on suggested improvements... if they were administered with my consent.That said, I have had a few bad experiences. Some of the staff are definitely elitist and have talked down to me, and that feels really bad when Im dependent on my vehicle and am trying to be a good bike steward. Another concern is that as soon as I leave the store, Im no longer a priority and Im not kept well-informed on the status of my repair/ordered part. So the staff have made judgement calls and unauthorized repairs, and once a repair is done Im kind of committed to it. I dont mind spending money if it helps my bike, but I need to be the one to authorize it.On another occasion I returned a tire because I had bought the wrong size, and they ordered the correct size, but didnt tell me that. Rather, I was told I would receive store credit. They never updated me when they eventually decided that ordering the part was the best course of action, and this was a very troubling experience because I thought I had been robbed $40. When I came back and tried to buy something, the employee on duty couldnt find a record of my credit, and didnt seem to believe me when I told him what had happened. I had to call the inventory manager, and it took several calls across 2 days to get through to him, and then he was just okay. The part was actually out-of-stock and would take a month to get here, so I asked for store credit for a future purchase and bought my tire elsewhere (I commute daily!). I spent many hours doing their administrative work for them on this occasion simply because they took the decision power away from me and didnt inform me.TLDR; Ask for Daniel, the repairs/parts are perfectly fine, the communication/setting of expectations outside the store needs improvement. Give the customer the decision power! People care about their bikes.

I went into Peddler looking for help fixing up my old mtn bike. I was prepared to do all the work myself but just needed a little help with the chain. It runs through the frame and needed to be broken with a special tool in order to remove it.I was ready to spend whatever it took to get the bike back into riding condition that day. I wanted a new chain, tires, tubes, some handle grips, seat cover, tire pump, and some new riding gear. Probably 2-3 hundred bucks worth of stuff. All I needed was someone to take 15 min to help me get a new chain on there.One of the workers was helping me out taking a look at it when the manager comes over berating me and lets me know they dont do any labor on Saturdays because they are too busy. I looked around and saw 5 people working there and only 2 other customers in the store already being helped. He told me it would be 2 weeks before they would work on my bike. I tried to tell him I could do everything myself and was planning on buying all the equip from his store but he was too busy being a huge jerk to hear me out.Ive been in there in the past just for some small purchases. Never had an issue until today when I actually needed a little help. After that experience you can bet, I will never set foot ( or wheel ) in that place again.

Cant say enough good stuff about these folks. When my wife became ill and her triathlon career came to an unexpected halt . . . Hal helped her out by taking her Cervelo in on a $ per $ trade for a Trek electric. Bobby is the only fellow Ill permit in town to touch my Tomassini after a few fails with other folks in town over the years. Lastly, these folks have been loyal sponsors and supporters of Terrapin Racing. Good folks! Good customer service! Fair pricing! Great inventory!

I have bought 4 bikes (holy smokes I have issues!) and many accessories from The Peddler on Walker Ave. The staff here is SUPERB! They never, EVER act as if youre bothering them if you have questions, they treat you like intelligent adults ought to. I am an inspiring roady with lots of old injuries (from other sports) so I am still trying to tweak my bikes to fit this rapidly aging body, the staff here are quick to offer suggestions and their vast knowledge of the products is awesome. The selection of bicycles in the store is great and if you want something and its not in stock, they have it very quickly. They do not sell you on what they think you ought to buy, they let you browse (and drool) and test ride and test ride and test ride! I wanted a small sized, mens frame hybrid for riding in Shelby Farms, I was told by another Trek store that it wont fit you and the salesman wouldnt even take the bike down to let me try it. I went to Highland St and tried the bike and its been the best fitting bike I have ever owned! Its a considerable drive for me to go to the Walker Ave store, but the service and attitude is more than worth it. If youve never ridden a Trek, you have no idea what youre missing, Ive owned Cannondales and Schwinns (back when they were both USA made) and even an Orbea, but the Trek just feels right, the womens specific design bikes make riding a joy again. Ive not had any issues with things breaking or not functioning as expected and we ride about 80-85 miles a week. I LOVE this store and cant say enough positive things about the staff!
