Stopped here on 10/26 lights were off, and doors were locked at 8:30 so I had to go to auto zone just down the road because I needed a battery for my son’s bmw. I drove here because it says they are open until 9. Luckily autozones hours were correctly posted on the website. 🤦🏼

Awesome staff EXTREMLY helpful and knowledgeable. I stopped by last week and was helped by the manager dylan, not only did he help me he exceeded my expectations and now has my business. I needed a check engine light diagnostic test performed which he was happy to take care of. I had a few miss fire codes and lean condition codes. He explained what they meant and possible causes of the codes.(while also letting me know he is not a mechanic). But he was trying to pass along some of the knowledge he has. I told him okay thank-you for your time I think I’m gonna take it to the dealer, but he stopped me and said can you pop your hood I just want to check one thing before you go. Sure enough he points me to a vacuum leak, he lets me know it is very likely the source of my misfire codes and lean condition codes. I bought a new hose and slapped it in, just a matter of minutes, and my car ran like it came off the show room floor, best of all no more check engine light! That’s customer service to a T!

I find the store to be ok. The staff is kind of hit and miss. I dont go to auto part stores very often but this one is not my favorite.

I went here a week or so ago let’s just say my experience wasn’t pleasent. I was in line for about 10-20 minutes. I only had one person infront of me but he was looking up a lot of stuff which is fine. What was annoying is I could tell he was frustrated by lack of employee help asked him if there was another person working. He said supposedly there is last I heard she had to do something in the parking lot. I looked out there and I didn’t see anyone. So I went back into the store. It was about a 30 minute ordeal just for me to get my washer fluid and get some car cleaning stuff. When it should’ve been 5 minutes or so. Then to top it all off when I was leaving I found the supposed worker out in the parking lot and I can’t say for certain but it really looked like her and some boy in a old square body truck were tucked away in the corner fooling around. (Like in a way that should be private) I was just shocked lol definitely my last trip here. I typically go to autozone anyways. I will add the gentleman in the store although I could see his frustration (I’m sure he had no idea) was super nice and helpful for me. Too bad I can’t rate his service and my overall experience separately.

Young female worker very rude, because she was on the phone and I needed help and interrupted her phone conversation.

Would not use this store. Staff complain about working for Advance, their inventory system, and having to assist customers. Staff spend more time horsing around with each other. Other Advance Auto Parts stores in Mechanicsville are much better. CarQuest store (division of Advance) is much more friendly and professional.

I purchased some wiper blades and the employee who helped me was rude and had an attitude during the whole transaction. She seemed bothered and grew frustrated that I wanted her to install my wiper blades. Her name was chloe My experience was not pleasant I will not be returning here. Will try auto-zone next. She doesn’t belong in customer service. I’ve been shopping here for years sad to say I don’t think I will continue.

The place it seft it great but the internet sight could improve alot

Purchased a battery online and had it installed. Cashier and installer were friendly and the battery was installed quickly. In the future, I hope that Advance adds the option of receiving a text message when an online order is ready for pickup instead of having to keep checking my email account.

AAP typically has what I need when I need it. Mechanicsville store is renovated, easily accessible and convenient. The Speed Perks program is a nice plus, though its currently more restrictive than it has been in the past. AAP has a good website too.

I went in to the store to buy a windshield wiper with the thought that they would install it for me. When I asked for a wiper the associate did not even bother to take the air pod out of his ear. He never offered to help install it so I tried to install it myself. Another associate came outside, saw me struggling, and never asked if I needed help either.

The staff here is always willing to help and if they dont know something, they will help figure it out. Definitely appreciate all the services they offer like battery check/replacement, wiper blade replacement, and the loaner tools came in handy as well.

The store clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the truck part we needed. The store was busy and theyre doing renovations, but it was a good shopping experience.

This location has great employees. Always have what I need for all my DIY automotive projects. Recently bought 3M headlight decision kit and ir worked perfectly. I also got a $10 rebate for the purchase, now to wait for my Visa gift card to come in the mail.

Tried to get me a different part but I already knew what I was there to get and it was less expensive. Didnt push it on me, thought that was smart.

Need alternator and battery for my 92 Buick Roadmaster wagon. Got prices for the parts and purchased a 3/8 Torx T45 socket to remove the alternator. Great service, friendly, knowledgable staff. Good prices. I regularly visit Advance for my tools and auto parts. Used to be open until 10:00 PM now they close at 8:00 PM - a deficiency.

Very good service,the guy knew what he was doing and found a part Ive been searching for over a year for,and it was in stock,everyone else said I had to order it on eBay.

I arrived at this advanced auto sunday the 17th 2019 at 6:15pm . Their website says they close at 7pm . The dude with curly hair told me that they do not go by what the website says . Really bad customer service. I will be calling corporate tomorrow morning to file a complaint.

They had the parts and tools I needed to get a simple job done, saving me a ton of money and time that otherwise would have gone to a shop.

Convenient to stop by but would like to see more knowledgeable staff.
