After going to several places including a bmw dealership. A friend that has his wifes porsche worked on here suggested that I take my i8.And I was not disappointed. Will take my i8 here anytime

DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!!!! I’m writing this from the parking lot right now. These guys have no clue what they are doing whatsoever. I came in for a P0170 code and some cylinders misfires on my Mercedes my check engine light would not stop coming on after a reset. The fat technician in the garage was the one that worked on my car he told me that the breather hose were the reason for the P0170 code I told him to go ahead and fix it so after he up charged me the work not even a day later my check engine light comes right back on. I drive back immediately and he tells me it is now my intake manifold I ask him how he missed that yesterday and he give me the run around about him not wanting to turn the smoke pressure up to high. They try to charge me another thousand plus dollars to repair the new found problem he is not even certain would fix the code. I told him I would not be dumping thousands of dollars into their cash trap and he smiled smugly and gave me my car back. Long story short these guys are scam artist they don’t truly know German cars just old mechanics taking guesses and trying to take more and more money until you just stop coming back. Can’t believe this is how these guys treat US army soldiers.

Ive had two separate really good exchanges with these folks. I found them on Google maps then Im always wary of going to a new mechanic. The reviews are really good and after you deal with them its pretty clear why. Theyre very transparent and give you a lot of options regarding what needs to be fixed now then what can wait till later.

I have been using German Auto Repair for many years and I have always been completely satisfied, one hundred percent. This last time was especially mind comforting after I was informed by a Mercedes service advisor that I would need to replace all fuel injectors to resolve my misfire. I was referred to German Auto Repair a few years ago and have been going to them every since. Their work is high quality! The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. They have kept my car in top running condition. What is most important to me is integrity. When I take my car in to German Auto Repair, they tell me the truth. They dont try to get extra money or perform un-necessary services. Finally, if it is a rare repair that they cant fix, they tell me. I needed the hydraulic cylinders replaced that operate the functions for the hardtop, convertible top, and roll bar. All eleven cylinders needed replaced which required special services and skills. The job was completed as promised with outstanding results. I have had German Auto Repair work on my other vehicles over the past ten years and extremely satisfied.

This is my second time using German Auto Repair for repair services to my 335i BMW coupe. Both experiences were top notch as my car ran 100% smoother after each visit. To date, they have fixed a control arm issue, and as the call it, the BMW trifecta (the oil pan, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover assembly) to my satisfaction. The prices arent cheap, but they are less expensive than what you would pay at the dealer. I would have given 5 stars, BUT my car seems to have a few knicks/chips that werent there prior to my service visit. The shop is on a very congested lot (this was a concern of mine) that is shared with several other car repair shops. I would certainly recommend this shop, but I would strongly recommend that you make note of any imperfections to your vehicle before and after having it serviced.

These folks will lie on turn around time. If they say one day, prepare to be told we found other issues and he is fixing them now check back tomorrow. Then same thing tomorrow. Their turn around time is always a lie. I experience it twice before dumping them. Once you commit to your car being fixed heir, cross your fingers. I have nothing good to say because it happened twice. Im done with them and I hope folks keeps exposing them till they shape up.

Repair shop with integrity - as my Bimmer got older and started to show its age, I started to shop for a local repair shop few years back. After 3 frustratingly not so good experience (read getting ripped off, pushed to do things the car probably did not need, etc.), I landed at German Auto Repair and have not looked back since. Robert and crew tell me exactly what is needed, dont try to hard sell unnecessary maintenance that can wait safely and charge fairly. Its great to know a shop that won’t rip you off when it comes to repairs. I took my car to a VW dealership and after having a terrible experience and getting quoted for $1000 repair to replace power steering pump, ac pump, and drive pump, I decided to get a second opinion. Luckily I found GAR and told them what needed to be replaced. After a quick turnaround from having my car they were able to run a diagnostic and found that all that needed to be replaced was an o-ring for less than $100. Now I’m back driving my car with no issues. This is a great shop with excellent customer service

I own a very old Volkswagen that is usually a hassle to have repaired. German Auto Repair diagnosed the issue within minutes of me dropping off my vehicle and had it fixed by the next day! Very reasonable rate of labor for their quality and speed of work! Also, they honored military discount for labor and parts, which was a great perk! Additionally, they have an online service for me to track my repairs and my mileage, which is helpful for a older car like mine. I am so happy I tried German Auto Repair out as I now finally have a mechanic I can trust with my older car and all its special issues :)

Complete ripoff! Charged me thousands of dollars to repair my car with genuine MB parts, but did not complete the job and gave me some bogus reasons....Had to tow my car to another shop that fixed it it 2 days afterwards! Stay away if you can!

German Auto Repair has been taking care of my 1986 Porsche for almost 10 years. While many shops claim to have skilled personnel for German vehicles, it can be hit-and-miss. German Auto Repair truly has a team of skilled professionals who can repair any issue which arises on German vehicles, and does so quickly and efficiently. Ive always been pleased with their service, both during and after a repair, and would highly recommend them to others with German vehicles.

I brought my Audi into GAR for a complete inspection prior to my manufacturer warranty expiring. This was my first and last visit.Charged me 2 hours of labor to inspect the entire vehicle and top off any fluids. This includes simple items such as checking interior lights while I mainly only wanted them to look under the hood. But this was their typical complete inspection and wasnt tailored for me.What they missed (and I know because I took it to the dealer 2 days after) is that my oil level was below acceptable and my low oil light came on the following morning, verified by my dipstick. Also, I had a coolant leak in my thermostat that a simple pressure test would have identified. Im not sure what they did look at (other than running tests on the computer), but it seems they were not very thorough, especially considering the cost.The guy at the counter was nice, but I would not recommend and will not be returning.

They do a wonderful job for a fair price. Dealerships charge way too much for the simplest things. I have used German Auto Repair twice now. One for a repair to a damaged inside vent. (They charged half of what the dealership estimated); and the second was a service and headlight adjustment. The service was very reasonably priced and they did not charge me for the headlight adjustment. I will definitely continue to use them.

I chose this shop when I got my first BMW, an 07 328 Ive had for over 3 years now, based on its excellent reviews. I just got back from my 6th visit, and have been satisfied every time. I dont think BMW maintenance is going to be cheap anywhere, but the prices here seem reasonable, and I feel like Ive been well treated. Ill definitely be back.

I feel safe with German Auto Repair. This was my first visit, and will be the only place that will service my vehicles. After two visits to my Audi dealership and paying for services that didnt solve the problem, my neighbor told me about German Auto Repair. I immediately felt comfortable talking to Jerry. Was having issues with my E550 where the sport mode would engage and I could not turn it off. The MB dealer had several technicians try to resolve including their master senior tech from Germany. They just could not find out the why and basically gave up. The only reason I was there was do to the airbag recall because Im a German Auto Repair customer for about 20 yrs. Now Fast--forward--> it was time for my oil change and while at German Auto, I asked Zack to advise me on that sport mode problem. He did and in 5 mins told me the problem, ordered the part---days later installed it and Im back on easy street! Case closed!!

These guys are AWESOME took them my older Jetta Wolfsburg in a few months ago for a oil change and a couple of codes. To my complete surprise they found a port unplugged under the hood which was causing the light. they fixed that NO CHARGE. Just imagine another not so honest shop CHA CHING!!. They changed my oil with full synthetic and high a grade filter, reset my tire pressure monitors and I was out the door for under $100

I wish I werent moving because I just found this shop to work on my Audi. Ive spent several years managing having service done at the dealership, which usually required making an appointment weeks in advance, then having the service take more than a day, and having to return several times for them to actually really fix the issue. These folks were able to fit me in the next day, got the work done faster than expected and at a lower cost at the dealership. Id rather have it done right and quickly than drive around in a free loaner car for three days. Not to mention all the suggested repairs made by the dealer that were really needed.

Upon a recommendation from another auto repair shop that doesnt work on Mercedes, I called Jerry about my headlight being out. I didnt know if I needed a new headlight or what. He recommended that he diagnose the problem before just installing a new light in case it was just a fuse or bulb. So I dropped my car off and a few hours later, my car was ready with only a bad bulb. He saved me a lot of money and was very honest with me as to what the problem was. He could have charged me for a new light and I would have never know the difference. I will definitely use Jerry again and will recommend using him.

I brought my new (to me) 2004 BMW x5 to German Auto Repair with an electrical problem. They track down the elusive trouble to a wiring problem in the drivers door. They were friendly and courteous, and explained what was happening with my car. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

These guys really have a passion for cars. I came here once for them to diagnose an oil leak that I later ended up fixing myself and I was just there this week for them to repair an adjustment on my seat. The work was completed on time and I am definitely satisfied with their prices. Of course, buying a German car means that repairs are more expensive, but this place is very reasonable. They have expanded over the years and my only complaint is the crowded parking lot. I am hoping they can move to a bigger facility soon just because of this, but if not, I will still continue to go whenever my BMW decides to act up again, which could be as soon as tomorrow, LOL!I definitely recommend them!

Even the Dealer Couldnt fix it right !I have been using GAR for years. Do yourself a favor, go there with your problem, listen to them and then have the work done! My trunk was very difficult to close since it was new, the Volkswagon dealer attemped repairs twice with only marginal improvement. Over the years I had to deal with a very heavy trunk to open and close. Jerry and the team at GAR had my trunk opening and closing with the littlest of ease. Anothert Great job by German Auto. You would be foolish to go anywhere else !

I wss passing thru Atlanta driving my Mercedes ML320 CDI on a Sunday when the serpentine belt snapped. After having USAA tow me to their shop at ramdom, I filled out the EarlyBird envelope and dropped the key off with them. Early Monday morning i gave them a call and they were already working in it. They called me by 11:00am and told me my car was ready. I was totally prepared to have my wallet molested, but to my surprise, the final bill was far less than I expected, And they repaired an oil leak he found for nothing, which was the actual cause of the belt snap. After having been the operations manager of a Ferrari-Maserati dealerships a Porsche dealership and a Lamborghini store, I can honestly rate German Auto Repair as a 10 out of 10.I was totally satiafied with my experience with them.RegardsJack Davis

I talked to them over the phone and they gave me a estimate for the repair my car needed once the car got to them, after Paying 95 dollars to get the car tow they gave me a crazy cost for the repairs not even close to the estimate! Almost 3,000 dollars difference plus I had to pay another 95 dollars to get my car back to me ! Wast of time and money
