I wasnt disappointed. These men were efficient, honest, sensitive to my needs, and they have reasonable prices. They went out of their way to help me. They explained my options and helped me get back on track. I feel I have found an auto service I can trust. What a relief!! They are definitely a bright spot in the auto repair business. My transmission was slipping, so I took it to an auto shop in Buckhead. This unnamed shop quoted me over 6K for a new transmission.I took it to AAMCO for a second opinion because they have some of the best reviews in the city of Atlanta, and I am very glad that I did. I dropped my jeep off on Monday morning. They called me a couple of hours later after their inspection and told me that they would need to repair the A/C Condenser, because it was leaking, and my transmission fluid was very low. They called me back on Tuesday to let me know that my jeep was ready to be picked up. They fixed the A/C Condenser and took it for a couple of drives, and everything worked perfectly. Not only did they save me $5,000... they did it in such a quick/efficient timeframe and were very helpful.If youre reading this review and need some transmission work done (or a second opinion), you need to bring your vehicle to this AAMCO location.

If BEST. PLACE/PERSON/SERVICE EVER was a business it would be this Aamco and Jason who works inside. We were referred after being told we needed to spend thousands of dollars getting our transmission rebuilt. I showed ip early one morning, told Jason what was going on and that I needed them to check it over and confirm before we dropped 4K. Jason was kind, understanding, and extremely polite- especially being that I was a young woman, by myself.A few hours after I dropped it off I got a call from Jason who told me what was and was not happening and his recommendation for next steps. He even took the service a step further and made calls FOR me to another shop.Ultimately the transmission ended up not being the problem, but Jason detailed out everything so I could understand and gave me specific instructions for what I needed to do. I am SO SO SOOO thankful for Aamco and Jason, it’s almost an obsession. In a world where it’s so easy for businesses to take advantage of people to make some bucks (and again, being a young woman made me a prime target) that was the complete opposite of my experience. I felt cared about, taken care of, and treated with the utmost care and concern as a customer. These guys on Cobb Parkway are great! The transmission on my Nissan Xterra was starting to act up and I didnt know where to go around me to get it looked at. My dad all the way in NY mentioned AAMCO and Im glad I went to this one. Mark was extremely knowledgeable on what was wrong after a diagnosis and kept me up to date with everything they found. I really like how he didnt feed me any bs and worked to help keep the price reasonable. In fact Mark was upfront with the pricing before any work was done and offered time to think it over. No pressure! With the amount of work done, which was a lot, the price was WAY better then what the dealership would have charged me. PLUS it comes with a two year warranty. I even got to look at the removed parts and Mark walked me through and explained each one that was damaged to have a better understanding.They were even able to replace a bad catalytic converter for me. I had a very intimidating issue with my transmission and the guys at AAMCO (Cobb Pkwy) walked me through the details, answered all of my questions and provided updates on the service regularly. I had some post-fix questions and they were more than happy to a swer my questions and accommodate my work schedule in terms of after hours and pickup. In particular Mark and especially, Jason (the gentleman that manage things), are great guys, highly knowledgeable and professional, and just overall great to work with.

I wanted to make sure to leave a review for this auto repair shop! They saved us from a maintenance nightmare. I was driving down the freeway in our VW CC and suddenly the car began to shake. It felt almost as if a tire may have busted but thankfully I safely got over to the side of the road. Called my husband and our car was towed to European Import Specialists located in Marietta, GA. Our car was there for 3-4 days before they finally contacted us saying we needed our whole transmission replaced and said it would cost 6K to fix. Thankfully my husband decided to get a 2nd opinion and had the car towed to AMMCO. He spoke with Jason prior to having it towed to AMMCO and he said he probably wouldn’t be able to get to it until the next day. Jason called him once the car got there to let him know they received it. A few hours later he contacted my husband and informed him that there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with our transmission and asked if the previous shop had even lifted the car or not because it was obvious once the car was in the air that the CV Axel separated from the wheel. Jason Informed him that they would get it taken care of and parts and labor would be under 1K. Wow. Not only were they honest but they saved us 5K and a financial headache. Jason and his team are the BEST and they have earned our business from here on out! They even sent out a thank you card in the mail. Our experience was exceptional and we highly recommend!

I had to have the transmission replaced in my car so I took it to AAMCO, Justin was very helpful & explained everything to me, my car was fixed in a timely manner & expensive but it rides good now. I’m going to make this long story short about how the BMW dealership and others were pricing my transmission issue starting at $4800 to $5800. After letting my car Jessie sit in the garage for a week I started making phone calls again. I explained this to the two or three auto repair technicians about my transmission after a diagnosis test at the dealership. Bottom line, it was stated I needed a new transmission. I was referred to speak to Mark. Let me tell you, he is my life saver. After keeping him on the phone for 15 minutes, I decided to toll my car to the shop for a free diagnostic test that Aamco offers. We talked later that day and he gave me the best news ever. I didn’t need a new transmission. The manual valves was broken. It was three times less than prices given to me. Jessie feels brand new. Thank you Mark. Thank Jason. 😀😀😀😀

Although the services that I need AAMCO doesnt provide, they referred me to another company and made arrangements for that company to pick up my vehicle. Our 2013 Nissan Sentra transmission went out while driving down the road. We had the car towed to Autonation Nissan which was a bad experience to say the least. Im not taking my car there ever again.After calling other shops for a second opinion Jason sold me on the service with his knowledge. We had the car towed to AAMCO and had nothing but good results. Jason was prompt with returning phone calls and keeping me up to date on whats going on with the car, and explained things pertaining to the car/transmission in a manner that me as a a layman could understand. The car was repaired within the time he said it would take and is driving like brand new again. The price was reasonable and competitive with other shops. Thanks to Jason and the guys in the shop for doing great work and getting us back on the road again.My only complaint is that they only do transmissions. Saved me from spending $1600 on a clutch/flywheel replacement that I didnt need, which was diagnosed by a major chain that rhymes with ire home...AAMCO correctly diagnosed the hydraulics and got the job done in 1/3 of the estimated time of the chain for $650. Plus they got me a sweet deal on my Enterprise rental since its across the street. They explain everything and will answer all questions with patience. You can tell they care about your experience and the quality of their work. I will always take my baby here after this experience.

I took my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 to the dealer in Kennesaw, GA. They spent 2.5 hours looking at it and told me I needed a new transmission and torque converter for $6,000. I called the garage who has serviced our cars for 30 years and they suggested I call Mark at Aamco. I couldnt be happier! He fixed the problem for less than $200! Aamco replaced the transmission in my 2013 Sentra and did a great job. The price was about $500 - $700 cheaper than what other shops quoted. After the initial free diagnostic, They assured me that it was a good move, as the rest of the vehicle was in great condition. I will definitely consider for any work that needs to be done in the future.

I came rolling in to this Aamco cause my transmission went out in my 2004 SUV on a Saturday morning. It would only go into second gear. They were closed but I called the number on the door and the owner answered my call took my information and was working on it already on Monday morning at 8 o’clock. He had already diagnosed the problem gave me a time line on how long it would take and what it would cost before I even got to work on Monday. I picked the SUV up on Thursday afternoon and my baby is purring again. I am so happy with the whole process and it was as painless as an emergency can be . Thank you!

Going in I just new I had a transmission problem. I spoke with Maury when I got there. I told him what was happening with my car. He said he could take a look at it but it would be after lunch. I left it with him with the thought that something was definitely wrong with my transmission. A little after lunch came and Maury called. He had good news... all that was wrong was the throttle body was dirty... they could’ve easily taken advantage of the situation and charged me. To top it all off... they didn’t even charge me for what they did! When I picked up my car Maury told me everything that they found and gave me some additional advice. I also met the owner Mark and spoke with him for a while. All I can say is I was extremely happy with the service and would highly recommended going to them!!!

I called with a question about my 2016 Jeep Patriot slipping gears and after asking a few more questions, Jason directed me back to my dealership without trying to get me into his facility and paying money out of my pocket. This shop did a thorough and complete job with the rebuild of my transmission. My transmission was rebuilt before (out of state) and it took longer and did not shift as smoothly. They were also faster. They even diagnosed a fault code on my engine for me as part of the service. They are highly recommended!! Everyone is friendly and they are expert, certified mechanics. I passed 3 other Aamco’s and chose this one. I’m glad I did!!!!

Ive been trying to find the source of a roaring noise in our 2013 Lexus ES350 for several months. I suspected tires and had them inspected, balance and rotated, but this did not solve the problem. I then took it to a highly-rated repair shop. They didnt immediately identify a source but eventually decided to replace a front hub assembly. This didnt solve the problem either. They then swapped left & right hub assemblies, but the noise was still present. They ran out of ideas and refunded my money. I had previously performed a transmission drain and fill, which is quite an involved process on this car - requires checking the fluid level thru a fill port when the fluid is at a specific temperature. I began to suspect that I had caused a transmission problem by over or under filling the transmission. I had AAMCO (at this location) rebuild a transmission about 15 years ago and decided to have them take a look. I dropped the car off on a Monday evening. Jason Smith explained the 179 point inspection they would perform to include, checking all fluids, checking for error codes, computer diagnostics, visual inspections, running the car on a lift and a test drive. He assured me that he would call me before any billable work was performed. The next day Jason called to tell me that everything checked out ok except for an unusual wear pattern with the rear tires. He stated that the wear pattern was not associated with worn struts of misalignment. He suspects defective tires. My bill was $0 - they dont charge for diagnostics. Obviously Im happy to not be facing a large repair bill, but there are other reasons to rate this shop highly. They obviously dont take advantage of customers or perform unneeded repairs just to generate revenue. They also listen well, take time to explain their approach and findings. I felt good about this shop 15 years ago and still do.

I called to make sure my transmission wasn’t low on fluid or in need of service. Mark was really nice about checking the car and making sure the evaluation was complete before making any further decisions. I left it overnight and he called me first thing in the morning and reassured that everything seemed fine and that the fluid level was full. Great service.

I have not even made it into the shop yet, but Mark was absolutely excellent in his customer service skills. He made me feel welcomed, intelligent, and confident that they will do an amazing job. I recently had a fender-bender while driving my late husbands Jeep Wrangler. I took the Jeep to what I thought was a trusted Marietta auto shop. I was told by them that my Jeeps transmission was ruined and that the Jeep should be counted as a, total loss. It was even suggested that I sell the Jeep for parts! I was broken hearted.After deciding to repair the Jeep, regardless of the cost, I took the Jeep to Aamco (by luck). I take all the family cars to this Aamco and if they cant fix it they will recommend a qualified mechanic who can As usual I had the best experience and Jason definitely lived up to the hype and then some.

Very courteous and forthright. My repair was very minor as it turned out. I appreciated Marks honesty and friendly manor. I would go back to this business for future transmission repairs. I would also recommend this business to my friends.

Totally my transmissions best friend. Mark, the General Manager, inspected my older classic car, as the manual transmission was not working. Knowing nothing about cars, I expected the diagnosis to be replacing the transmission. Mark found the issue was only minor, when compared to a rebuild or replacement. Was I surprised! I totally could have been taken to the cleaners. Mark mentioned this is what he does, builds trust and build business. Not a transmission issue since my last visit. He gets all my drive-train business. I value Mark more than value my physician, as I do not have an HMO for my auto.

I would highly recommend this shop. They will diagnose your transmission problem for free ($100 in savings compared to dealer). They dont have sales people trying to get you to pay for more work than you need them. Plus, they have tons of ASE certified mechanics working at their shop which far better than the dealerI went to this shop because I was having transmission trouble. Mark knew instantly about a warranty extension for my car and told me I could get the transmission repair ed at the dealer for free. Mark checked my car anyway just to double check it was the transmission. He confirmed that it was a transmission problem. He called the dealer service department for me and confirmed that my car was still under the extended warranty at 105k miles. Mark was extremely helpful and very straightforward. He is somebody I would definitely trust with my car in the future.

I am extremely satisfied with my total experience, beginning with Andys courteous welcome and Marks thorough explanation of what would be involved with my transmission repair. And best of all, our Rendezvous is running and shifting like new again. I would, and have, recommended these guys to my friends.

What a wonderful surprise!!! When my clutch started dropping in my Jeep, I was certain I was it was going to be replaced. The fact that I found an honest transmission shop deserves 5 stars on its own... What really put them over the top was their commitment to finding out what was wrong. The problem was intermittent and started about 45 minutes into my drives. Mark offered to drive my Jeep home so he could warm it up and experience the problem. Sure enough, 40 minutes in it acted up and he was able to diagnose the problem as the hydraulics. To my surprise, he informed me that the hydraulics on my model were separate from the clutch, and he recommended not replacing the clutch... He could have easily taken me for a much larger job, but they take pride in what they do. They put a bright spot on a car problem. I will not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone!!!

We were very impressed with the quality of service received from Aamco. Both Andrew and Mark spent time discussing options as well as what was happening with our transmission. Although it had to have quite a bit of work and parts replaced, it is running so much smoother than we remember. As two teachers who appreciate a good value, we definitely got it!

This place is a crook and scam do not trust there service or advise. All they want to do is lure you into doing a transmission work. They assured me and advise me that my vehicle would last through the transmission work I trusted there professionalism and asked is it worth it and is there any other options but with there assurance i proceeded with the transmission work. After $3k spent on transmission engine died less than 30 days. Over all do not trust these people because later on i found out you can get for $1500-2000 on an engine and transmission with less than 60k miles on it minus labor. So approx $4k and would have been a more secure way of option.

My transmission failed on a Friday morning and I had no idea where to take my vehicle. I found AAMCO because it was located near my job and the feedback on the website. Upon me calling Mark was very helpful in explaining what they would be doing step by step and answered all my questions. There was no cost for the initial diagnostic of my transmission and he informed me all the work with would be needed for the repair. I was allowed to come into the shop and veiw the parts taken out of my transmission and the new parts going in. I had a lot of questions and I appreciate Mark taking time to answer them all.

I am completely satisfied with the service here at Aamco! Jason and Mark were extremely informative, helpful and honest. They realize the costumer has to spend a lot of money for their services, so they are serious about making sure the quality matches the value. I am sold on this shop, and this will be my go to shop as long as these gentlemen are here!

I saw their good reviews and that the website says theyre full service auto shop, and their name says AAMCO Transmissions &Total Car Care. The website says they also check engine lights for free and could tell me the code. I limp my truck there with bad shaking issues and the engine light flashing. I notice their sign just says transmissions and when I go in and ask the guy if they could check the light he says no they only work on transmissions and he tells me to go somewhere else. If they only work on transmissions thats fine, however the website is completely misleading saying they do everything else also. If my truck broke down in the parking lot after reading everything they do online I wouldve been stuck.

After 300k miles the transmission on my 2000 Toyota 4Runner started having problems. While I was fairly certain I needed to have it replaced, I was very pleased the the diagnostic work performed (for no charge). Jason walked me through all the tests that they performed and the conclusions reached. He then explained the options of rebuilding or putting in a remanufacutred transmission. I went with the rebuild and couldnt be happier. Its a big expense to have a transmission replaced but its nice to have people help you make an informed decision. The transmission shifts like new again and is ready for another 300k.

It’s going to cost to be the boss and you know Transmisssion replacement is costly, they got me squared away 2 or 3 year warranty.

Honest and trustworthy are the first 2 words I can think of for this place. Given the complexity of transmissions, it would be real easy to get taken, no worries with these folks. My first time in here was 1984 when I brought in my 68 Tornado with slipping gears. 2 minute test drive, he popped the hood and reconnected a vacuum hose another mechanic knocked off, fixed no charge !! This past weekend I was told by a mechanic at an East Cobb shop, my Tahoes transmission was shot and wanted to charge me $3500 for replacement. Took it to Aamco Cobb Pkwy. and suprise, the other shop was completely wrong. Back on the road in hrs. Thanks Mark & Jason and the rest of the crew @ Aamco. Keep up the good work and appreciate the honesty.

Mazda said I needed to buy a new transmission for $5000 or buy a new car. Kennesaw Auto Center Recommended AAMCO on Cobb Parkway. $1200 later my car seems fine. $1200 is a lot less than $5,000 or a new car. Thank you AAMCO

I bought a beater 95 Explorer (with 4WD and 160k miles) in 2007because I had just accepted a work assignment up in the Great Lakes area.Before the project started, the torque converter went out (NOT unusualfor this model).Mark M and his crew took care of that problem and I have since takenthis car has since crossed the Tropic of Cancer for one work assignmentand has also spent 5 complete winters in Ontario Canada.no problems ever returned.I believe the guys at this facility have good skills.

These guys are the real deals! I had my Nissan towed there and they, Mark & Jason, took the time to call Nissan with my vin# to see if it was under warranty. Not everyone would do that! It happened that it was so they got nothing out of the deal but that I praise the Lord my car went to them, true honest guys!

I had my sons transmission replaced over the summer and was very satisfiedYou would be crazy to take your vehicle anywhere else. Vic and Mark were exceptional and they gave me a great deal.

When you need transmission repairs, your number one criteria should be to find a company that is honest. Everything else falls in place behind that. I am extremely selective about who I trust to repair my car, and I finally decided on this AAMCO. All AAMCOs are not created equal, but this location is great. They are honest, reliable, always happy to answer questions, and they stand behind their work. They even went above and beyond by replacing some broken motor mounts for a very good price (they had easy access with the transmission removed). You cant ask for anything more.
