Im not giving any Stars because my husband and I didnt like it. It wasnt for us. But there was a lot of people in there. Reminded us for the discolored Jail hotdogs. Hotdogs was green and tan. 🤢 The didnt look right either. It was regular french fries to. I couldnt eat my food at all.

5 of us for lunch so we got 2 of the bakers dozen coneys. Being that it was lunch time the place was pretty well packed but service did amazing at keeping things flowing. The food was good service was great.

Good Onion rings,fries and the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. But not fond of the Hot dogs I expected better, one bite and I was done.
Its a local spot that is just great. Sure the menu isnt the biggest but the cooks know how to prepare whats offered. Not a real regular but, its good food at a fair price.
Had a few bands come into town under contract with a good friend and merch guy and dj. Recommended this restaurant only to have them wait over an hour for food while they watched others come in and out numerous times saying nothing. Finally due to time constraints when he asked to just pay for the drinks his waitress screamed at him so he asked the lady standing they if was going to allow it....luckily this lady started to scold the waitress but the cook came out and grabbed him by the arm and kicked him out of the restaurant.Now this is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He would take the shirt off his back if you needed it so for this to happen is beyond upsetting.Congratulations on the total unprofessional attitude of your business you lost my business and any recommendations I will ever send that way again.

I worked there for almost a month. Cathy is one of the fakest and rudest people I’ve ever met. She had no patience with me whatsoever. I was just starting to learn to be a waitress. I’ve never had any experience before. She would always make little side comments about how I was. I remember one day Courtney (her daughter) comes in to work and she sees me and whispers to Cathy and asked “why is she still here.” And today when I went picked up my check she got completely rude with me. And yelled at me in front of the costumers. She didn’t even care what I had to say. She’s rude, no wonder why no one ever stays and works there. And also when I did work there I saw bugs and black mold in the kitchen. Gross.

Went there this afternoon and havent stopped visiting the toilet since. Maybe it was a fluke, IDK, but did not sit well with me.

Food was good but service was ridiculously slow. When we got here we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were greeted quickly and our order was taken quickly but it took sooooooo long to get our food. I honestly dont know how it could have taken so long, fried food and hot dogs dont take 20 mins to cook. Then we ordered ice cream and watched the waitress stop making it to serve another customer. Overall good food at a good value but based on the service I doubt well be back.
Servers do not wear masks properly while serving food. There were even servers that were not wearing a mask at all.The restaurant itself was set up in a safe manner, but given current regulations, not having employees adhere to basic protocols is not acceptable.

Cant beat the classic atmosphere and the Meatloaf sandwich is the stuff dreams are made of, absolutely phenomenal.
Located in my home town, I took my kids there as children... and we still meet up there whenever we are all in town. Its home and the staff are friendly, the grilled cheese with tomatoes and pea salad are yummy, and location is beautiful- downtown Mansfield. Gourmet? No. Comfort food? Yes.Grab a glass bottle of rootbeer pop while there and just absorb the old school way of life.

Update: 10/23/2018 ~ Returned again, and had another waitress that was very attentive and pleasant. I had Coney Dogs footlongs and they were amazingly delicious!! This place has went from 1 star to 5 stars in my review within a month period. Sweet!Update: 10/18/2018 ~ I returned at the request of someone I know that lives in the area and I am actually glad I did. I had a different waitress who was very attentive, polite, not in a rush and I ordered some chili cheese fries (I think) and enjoyed them! Mustve been a bad day the first time, but in this business there shouldnt be any bad/off days. I would return again.Original Review: Worst service ever! After 30 minutes my food was still not done. People that came in after me had burgers and all well before I finally got up to walk out.Coffee was good. That is all I can say good about that place. Sad.
What a great place! Picture a small town diner and this is it! The food is exactly what youd expect in a place that has survived this long and the prices are very reasonable! If youre visiting the Reformatory, this is just a couple of minutes away... definitely a great place for a bite to eat!

This is a small place thats been open for like 80 years so you know they are doing something right. The coneys are good depending upon where you are from but you cant go wrong with a burger or a BLT. Its a great place to stop if you are in the area. The wait staff are also pretty fun loving and friendly.
My grand daughter and i stopped in on a weekday around 10:am and she loved it!(her first visit well be returning next chance we get. Great family restaurant, fabulous home cooked tasting food! Take all your visiting friends and family there,you wont be disappointed! I do it!

Our waitress was wonderful, friendly, very sweet and accommodating. Young lady, long blonde hair with glasses, we didnt know her name. Food was so, so good! Will be back most certainly!
Absolutely fantastic food! I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, my wife had pea salad and fried mushrooms. The bacon was really crispy, which most places around here drop the ball on. The cheese was melty and it was just an excellent burger. The portion of fries was really generous. The pea salad is fantastic.

This was a fun, little step back in time. The food was good and there were lots of things on the wall in which to start conversations. It is too tight for a wheelchair to fit comfortably, though. Also, large families wpuld need to split up most likely.

I stopped this morning planning on having to get breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised when they said I could get whatever. I got a pizza burger, a coney, And fries, all three were cooked perfect. Fast, friendly service. Ill be back.
The servers are the best. Theyre always so friendly. The food is great, tastes like homemade. Definitely one of my favorite things when I come to Mansfield.
I had 2 coney dogs (regular hot dogs not beef), fries and drink $7.75. My wife had a 1/4# cheese burger, fries and drink for $8.99. The food was good but nothing special. This food at most places of this quality would be $12.00 tops. Atmosphere was neat and the place was clean. Waitress was good. Overall I would give this place a C+.
Traveled through Mansfield and had this as my stop for a bite to eat.Service was super quick and friendly. Ordered the fried bologna with cheese and onions, was a tasty fried treat that gave me the fuel to finish the rest of my nine hour drive.Great prices too and the place has that real diner character.
When here to have a meatloaf sandwich amazing is all I can say. All the food is home-cooked and real food and prices are very very reasonable. I would definitely eat here again looking forward to going back soon.

The staff was great. The food is on par for a dinner. By that I mean, Im not craving it to go specifically for the food, but next time Im down there, if someone asks if I want to just eat there I wont say no. The dishes were all clean. Not much worse than getting ready to eat and you get leftovers from someone elses meal on your fork. Not here, so I was happy about that. My kids liked it. More than likely I will be back.

The absolute worst Coney sauce I have had. Literally tastes like a terrible version of sloppey Joe sauce. Place is nice looking and staff are nice but if your called Coney Island Dinner your Coney sauce should not be terrible. I am editing my review and changing to four stars for the fact they have a very good breakfast here and also the pea salad is delicious.

Coney Island Diner is definitely Old School when it comes to eateries. It is not chic in any way. Its decode reveals its age. But this is one thing that makes it appealing. And its coney dogs are pretty good.

Enjoyed our breakfast - server was pleasant and on point. Went back a few days later and had a couple of coneys......different server, but friendly. Its a small place, but clean and cozy. Their coney sauce definitely beats the other place in town.

Stopped in after visiting the Shawshank prison filming location. Great food, chicken, coney dogs, fries, and banana split, etc. everything was delicious and the diner was super clean. Fun little downtown to explore and a great place to eat.
Nice clean place downtown. Food though is average at best, and sometimes less than average. Big menu, but not a whole lot of things done great.
