On the madison river front. Had chilly dogs,they were good. Will be back for ice cream. Really nice river front and kentucky is a cast across the river.

Pretty yummy. Went with the family for a nice treat when walking by the river. They also have butterscotch shakes and sundaes, which can be pretty hard to find these days. I didnt try any of their hot food, but they have a decent selection and great prices on everything.

The food is good. The serving sizes are generous. Location is lovely. Service isnt great. Orders dont always get made correctly. Staff is easily confused. Still worth a stop if you want some yummy cold treats.

Got 2 fresh to order burgers. Hot meat not held over heat lamp. Short wait. Good price. Be back again.

First trip - didnt like the foot long. Second trip - liked the Johnny burger. But went for banana soft serve ice cream and they were out of flavors. Only had chocolate, vanilla and chocolate/vanilla swirl.

We love how the food is cooked after you order. Its hot and delicious!!! The fries are amazing and we love how much you get. The ice cream is also delicious. We never miss this place when we visit Madison. Highly recommended!!!

This place is awesome in the summer time and pretty much anytime they are open. For some reason Google maps suggest its closed down however it is not it opens up spring/summer time and stay open all the way up until October 12pm to 9pm. The have all kind of treats like the footlong chilli dog, giant pretzel and cheese, double decker burger, fish, Sundays, soft serve, then more chillbilly treats than I can name in cone, cups, waffle cones. I mean literally everything on the menu looked delicious and amazing. The service was beyond friendly helpful and fast serving. They have a little outside patio like area you can sit and enjoy your treats at or since its right downtown there are plenty places and benches for you to sit and enjoy the beautiful sceneries and river view. If you havent given then a try yet I highly recommend especially on a hot day. It will be just the thing to cool you and the kiddos down and give ya the lil extra boost to keep walking the riverfront if you are.

Good food and ice cream but kept missing our orders and got wrong flavor of ice cream otherwise was good

Our ice cream was pretty good. I got the M&M Brain freeze and my sister got the Brownie Delight. Hers was really good with the hot brownie, ice cream, whipped cream and hot fudge except it didnt have too much hot fudge and definitely needed more. My Brain Freeze had lots of M&Ms and and was good but to be honest I dont think I would want just vanilla ice cream from there because I didnt think it had a whole of taste but it was good with the M&Ms mixed in. We loved sitting in our car facing the river, its a really pretty sight. I would eat there again but unless they get better vanilla ice cream I wouldnt go out of my way. Except maybe for the view. I gave 4 stars for the view and because of the Brownie Delight.

We stopped by for ice cream, saw customers, the building and the signage, easy order and pay line and easy pick up line, we went on Sunday, Labor Day weekend, constant stream of customers, pleasant treat after walking along the waterfront. small soft serve size is really kiddie size.

I love little places like this. Burger, hotdog or fish sandwich. I went with the Johnny burger. (Think of another burger with a middle piece of bread.... But better 😁). Their crinkle fries were hot and crispy with just enough salt.Then theres the ice cream. So many soft serve flavors to choose from. So many shake a malt flavors to choose from. I chose the blue raspberry. Cool and creamy...yum!!! (And its blue 💙)

Just stopped to try it out. Soft serve ice cream was good with a good creamy texture. A lot of persons were eating but cant comment on food other than a lot of persons were eating their food also. Prices are reasonable and view along river is beautiful and relaxing!

Food and prices good. Was there last week and asked when they were closing. Was told if weather was good end of October. Went there today for lunch just to be told by others there they were only going to be open on weekends. No sign on business saying this. Poor way to run a business. Dought if we take a chance and go back this year. Waist of time and gas just to find out there closed..

Employees closed up shop early and then rudely told us that they are closed for the night. Normally have good experiences here, tonight just some disappointed kiddos.

Best ice cream in madison

Tasty ice cream with a great view of the river. Makes a nice place to relax. Only quibble is that the ice cream was incredibly soft and melted incredibly fast. You are probably better off with a cup over a cone.

It has a great atmosphere.

They have decent soft serve ice cream but the flavors are so very artificial and cloyingly sweet.They may do better at things other than the soft serve but that is all I had and all on which this review is based.

That Johnny Burger is the best burger in town. Will beat Shipley’s and Hinkles any day of the week. I get one 4 times a week with fries. Ice cream is great too. One of my favorite stops.

Food was good. 2nd time eating there. I was slightly concerned about the non attendance of checking or cleaning the outside seating. Was there 45 minutes and did not see one employee come out and check sitting area or tables, no cleaning and food rubbish was laying on ground all around. With Covid still looming, we thought that should be a priority. We decided just to eat in our vehicle. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

We loved our experience at chillbilly treats. We saw billy helping clean up at closing time. Really just seems like one of those places in Madison that is a must visit. It makes you feel like a local going here.

Amazing place to take kids for ice cream (or treat yourself). The variety of ice cream flavors and treat is outstanding. Closed for the season now, but pay attention around next year for them to reopen. You wont regret it.

Save your money and go to Scoops. Ordered mint chocolate chip soft serve. Had NO chocolate chips (or chocolate swirl or chocolate syrup or chocolate period) and tasted like mouthwash. You could see where the green mint flavoring was barely mixed into the soft serve. Wasnt even edible. Asked for a refund or exchange and was told NO they cannot do that. Terrible terrible customer service and worst ice cream I have ever had. Went straight into the trash. What a waste of money.My husband ordered the smores brain freeze and he also said it was terrible and it got thrown away.

Chillbilly Treats has the worst chili dog that you will probably ever experience. French fries were not that great either. Their ice cream looked good and I think it would be your best bet if you go to this place.Update: I neglected to include the date of our visit; it was 8/15/2019When I said that the fries werent that great, I was referring to the fact that they tasted like they were cooked in oil that was dirty and/or old and over used.

This is such a great addition to the Madison riverfront. Great ice cream and awesome prices. Would love to see some sort of specialty food added to the menu such as barbecue all the time or wood fired pizza. It is such a great spot to sit with the family and enjoy dinner and ice cream.

Was gonna try the place out during the Regatta festival and overheard a guy (I was assuming the owner or manager) tell someone they couldnt use their trash cans in a very rude manner. The whole attitude of the guy just told me I should spend my money with someone else. I might think about it tomorrow but I am still undecided...

The blue raspberry ice cream is not flavored. Has just enough food coloring to make it taste awful. I overheard the young counter worker ask the lady in charge about it. All she had to say is tts blue. I didnt feel like arguing so I just tossed it. Wont be back. There are other ice cream shops on the main street I will visit.

And thier soft serve ice cream hold up pretty good ij the heat it dont start melting all over ya as soon as u get ot it holds up pretty good to be soft serve! And thier flavoring for the ice cream It Rocks!! And its affordable too! Terrible foot long chili dog. Chili and hotdog were cold after waiting 15 mins to get it. The bun was old. How this place has a 4 star rating is beyond me. The $4 hotdog was not worth more than $.25.

The Dole Pineapple was phenomenal!!!

Service was very poor. And the food tasted like it was taken out of the scrap bucket. If the owners had been there and seen/heard the young ladies like we did, they would have been fired. No intentions of going back.

It was good but not much ice cream in the cones. Purchased a large, and like I said not much ice cream, it was a chocolate vanilla twist.
