I called Shaffer Security to get a quote on installing residential security cameras. The first question I asked was if they installed equipment that was not purchased from them. I explained that I had researched cameras and already had what I wanted picked out. She said, Yes, we will install equipment that youve already purchased. Great! I set an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate on the install. I took off from work on the morning of the appointment to be available. I got a call from the company about 30 minutes prior to the appointment telling me that they would be an hour late getting out to my house. After showing up and taking a look at the house, she explained she would email me the quote. A couple days later, I get a quote for a 5MP system (I had explained I was looking at a 4K system) and a statement that they would not install the equipment that I was buying because it wasnt good according to her husband. Nevermind, all the security experts and customer reviews that had referred the system. Shaffer completely wasted my time and straight up lied to me. I think it was all to try to sell me the equipment that they carry. Do yourself a favor...look for someone else.

We like the fact they there is no monthly monitoring fee like some of the other security camera companies. You monitor your security cameras on your smart phones 24/7. If there is a problem, they come to investigate and repair it as soon as possible. I recommend this company highly.
