We had a broken spring on a two car garage door, and Kurt replaced both springs in the door in less than an hour. He was professional, courteous, and explained everything that he had done. He did his safety inspection and went over the repairs and cost with me. He then completed the work in a very timely manner. My husband called Precision on a Saturday morning after discovering the spring on our garage door was broken. He was installing a new garage door opener at the time. Unbelievable customer service. It was very refreshing working with Precision Door Service as it seems quality customer service is becoming harder and harder to find these days. I called their Madison location at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning with a simple question Can I get somebody out to my residence to evaluate my problem? I was entirely expecting the process to involve multiple visits over the course of a few weeks. Precision had a technician at my door less than an hour later. After not getting called back from the original installers (a different company) of the garage door despite leaving multiple messages, I was pleasantly surprised when someone from Precision answered right away. Our garage door opener decided to break over the weekend so we contacted Precision Door Service of Madison to come out and fix it for us on a Sunday. What a great company as they came out the very next day and our Service Tech Jerimiah was fabulous. From the phone call saying he was on his way until the time he completed our install he was courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, professional and took the time to show us how to work everything along with setting up our car remotes. I have nothing but good things to say about Jerimiah and this company as from calling in to place the call to them finishing. I give them 10 stars and would use them and highly recommend them to anyone needing garage doors or openers. We also had some cameras installed prior to our door opener breaking and we didnt know if it was due to the frequency or the old opener. Jerimiah said to give him a call if once we tried the cameras again with the new opener, we still had issues as he would come back out and help us figure things out. I am very pleased with the service we received yesterday to replace broken cable and sprung pulleys. Stu called within the time frame given to let me know he was 20 minutes or so away. He was very professional, and great with answering all my questions. He even took a look at my second doors opener (unplugged), which had gone nuts a few years ago but was not the reason wed called. He got it working again, which was a great bonus. I got lots of information and what looks like a very good and sturdy repair on my door.

Precision rebuilt my garage door last August and the tech was patient, knowledgeable, and answered all of my many questions. I learned so much that day! When it was below zero last week, the door wouldnt close, so I called again and they sent someone out right away. Stu was GREAT. It was the unit, not the door, and it was due to the cold (it was working fine when he arrived), but there was no charge and he was very informative about our options (plus we learned the key pad wasnt working due to the battery needing changing). At first I was very impressed with the urgency to get to my house to take a look at the garage door repair that was needed. Nick arrived to my house and was very professional and had a good understanding of what the issue was. My guard went up when I was given a “complete diagnosis” when Nick hadn’t even looked at anything on the garage door that was the issue. Within 5 minutes I was told of several issues that lead turned into a sales pitch trying to sell me on a $1,200 purchase. I then called another local repair shop and was told that based on my issue it will only cost $400. When I told Nick that I am going to be using another repairman, he jumped right to telling me that I need to pay $85 for a trip charge. I was never told by Carla who I originally spoke with or Nick that a trip charge was being placed. I refused to pay because that was never disclosed. **BUYER BEWARE. These guys will give you a sales pitch without diagnosis, will charge you hidden fees and will apparently charge you for your estimate when most businesses do that for free. When looking for a repair, choose your local dealer even if it means waiting until normal business hours. These guys clearly lack a sort of integrity and I will never do business with them or any business like that.

Needed a garage new door. Precision Door came out and explained all of the options and measured everything. They were the second company we got a quote from but based on how professional they were, responsive, timely, and knowledgeable we went with them. Our garage door springs broke unexpectedly before an anticipated snow storm. I was out of town when a spring on our garage door broke. My wife found Precision Door in the Yellow Pages and called them to fix the problem. They replaced the broken spring along with the matching spring on the other side and replaced a couple of rollers and roller shafts that guide the door up and down in the channels. They charged us $800. Our neighbor with an identical door and mechanism had the same problem a little earlier had another company come in to repair it. Basically, it was the same job as ours. They charged her $200. BUYER BEWARE. I have heard from others about similar issues with Precision Door.

Repaired garage door on a late notice, came same day, in and out in less than an hour, and now our garage door works. What more can be said. Came out within 3 hours to fix my garage door. The technician, Jezrel, was awesome. He presented me with all of my options before starting on the work and explained the costs associated with each option. I was very happy with how the work turned out.

I feel like we were charged more than we should have been. I enquired with other company about putting up two new springs for our garage door and he said it will cost me $215 for 2 new springs installed and Precision charged me $180 each and $65 for each bearing (65X3). By the time I checked with the worker he had already started working on it so couldn’t go back but definitely shoo around before hiring them.
