Schmitz Door Service replaced the springs for our garage door a few years ago, and installed a new opener for us 4-5 months ago. Both times their price, promptness, service, and response to follow up questions were outstanding! I recently called them because there was a strange noise coming from the track as the garage door was opening and closing. One of their employees came over the same day I called to check on it, explained to me that the trolley was slightly bent, and that it would be covered 100% under warranty. He replaced it the next day, and it’s fixed. I highly recommend Schmitz Door Service for anything garage door or opener related- they are awesome!

We had a mishap with our garage door (apparently you need to wait for the door to finish rising before you back out …). We called Schmitz late in the afternoon. They asked for us to text photos of the state of the garage door to see if they could get a single technician out to repair it that day. Upon receiving the photos, they determined that the repair would require multiple technicians and would need to wait until they had a crew available. They had a crew out early the next morning and had our door back on the tracks and working better than ever. The technicians were prompt, courteous, and skillful. The price of the repair pleasantly surprised us. We’re incredibly pleased with Schmitz Door Service!

Asked about replacing the door and they suggested replacing rollers and a bracket and did not try to upsell or talk us in to a new door. Came back the next morning to complete work. Getting our old garage door replaced. Since the wait time from suppliers is so long lately, Schmitz Door came out and retrofitted my old broken spring so that my old door still works while we wait for the new one. They did a great job.

My car got into it with the garage door, oops! Schmitz was extremely responsive, and made it out in less than 24 hours to inspect and repair the door. I was certain the door was totaled after seeing most of the axel pins on my garage floor, hinges torn out, bent track etc. In less than 30 minutes, they had the door function better than before the Jeep vs Garage Door altercation - hopefully no more garage door vs car fights in this house. I called them yesterday and they came today. First thing in the morning. They were so polite and explained everything. I was really comfortable with the whole process. I ended up getting a new system and they explained that as well. I found the price to be really reasonable and Im 100% happy with the work.

Final price came in lower than what was estimated for me and the job was done wonderfully. Schmitz Door Service was fast to estimate (same day I called), fast turn around (3 days vs. 2 weeks with others) and incredibly priced. If I ever need door service again, I will call them without hesitation.

Needed a new door opener, cables, door stops an updating. Show up two days later introduced themselves- where friendly & professional. With my 50 years in the construction field as a supervisor the work was excellent.

I backed my car into my garage door, oops. It was stuck half way down, and Schmitz was the only place that could make it out same day. On top of that, they were quick, friendly, easy to communicate with, and fixed my door without it needing to be replaced! Ill call them first next time I need anything garage related.

Jamie was personable and friendly both on the phone and in person. He not only offered an incredibly fair bid but he was able to make it out to our home the fastest. We he came to our home he was polite efficient and kind. He arrived on time and was done quickly. I can’t say enough good stuff about Jamie and Schmitz!

These guys are awesome!!! I moved into a new house called for them to come out and service my garage door because we had used them at our old house. Over the phone he diagnosed problem and explained what I needed to do for a quick sensor alignment. No charges and I didnt need to take the afternoon off work. Tough to get quality service like that these days.

I called Schmitz after getting a very large quote from Precision Door. Jami quoted me almost half the original cost and was out the next morning to confirm this quote. We then scheduled a complete door replacement just a few days out, as opposed to Precision Doors 4-6 weeks turn around time. He was on time and had the door installed quickly. The replacement door looks and works great. Id highly recommend Schmitz Door Service.

They took care of my door within a day of my reaching out to them . . after the repair, I was having some problems with my door not closing properly . . I reached out to Jamie on a Saturday and he gave me some troubleshooting tips to try . . when that didnt work, a technician was back out at our house by Monday and the door was adjusted and has never worked better. A rare level of service all around.

Called on our friends advice to repair a broken door spring. I was expecting to have to set up an appointment for later that week, but they had someone at my home within the hour! Jamie was incredibly helpful! Initially, it wasnt clear whether he would be able to fit the work within our timeframe, and so he even offered us the names of some competitors who might be available. He then followed up with a phone call the next day to see whether we still needed his services, which we did. He came out and did the work quickly and for a fair price. My experience with Schmitz was fantastic! My garage door literally fell apart on a Monday night while closing, with my vehicles inside the garage. There was no way to get them out without professional help, as part of the door was hanging over my vehicles, with the door stuck half open. I had promptly called another highly rated company, left a message, and patiently waited for a call back the next morning. I left another message late morning, after not receiving a call back, and again waited (and never got a call back)... In the meantime, I contacted Schmitz, based on their reviews, and had a call back from Jamie within minutes. He was to my house in just over an hour, helped to get my vehicles out, and get me on my way to work. And my new, better quality garage door, was installed the very next day. Fantastic company in all regards. Called Monday evening and described a variety of issues I was having with my door, and they had two guys out to my house the next morning. Both of them were skilled, friendly, efficient, and extremely professional. Within 30 minutes they had identified the problems, fixed everything, adjusted the motor to close more accurately, and wrote me up for a price lower than expected even having read reviews of their low costs. Great customer service! Schmitz replaced our garage door springs about 18 months ago. They came within 24 hours of my call - it was great service. The spring just broke again, and they returned and replaced the springs, which were under warranty, at no charge to us.

We had a door spring break during the last cold snap. An Overhead Door sticker was on the door from when it was installed, presumably. I called that number on a Saturday. They were closed and their VM said they wont be able to help unless we wanted to pay emergency rates - which I didnt want to do for something as simple as a spring. I left my number and asked for at least a call back to discuss options, but never received one.So I started Googling around and stumbled upon Schmitz Door Service. It had excellent reviews (unlike Overhead Door...). I thought Id give the little guy a shot and not only did they call back within an hour, two technicians were at my house within two hours and my springs replaced and garage functional thirty minutes after that. Andy Juedes, the lead technician, and his co-worker were friendly and did a great job -- at a fraction of what the larger outfits charge. From what I read, other places would charge an $85 call-out fee and another $500-$800 to replace the springs. These guys did it for less than $250 in thirty minutes and no call-out fee -- and they didnt even mind driving out to the far west side of Madison.I would recommend these guys to anyone and will call them again (god forbid) if something else ever goes wrong. Our garage door broke unexpectedly and would not go down. We were quite nervous as my husband and I had to go to work in a few hours and didn’t want to leave our garage open. After 4 other repair places told us it would be 24-72 hours, Schmitz said they’d have someone over within 3 hours. Gabriel arrived even sooner, had everything repaired within 30 minutes, and even showed me how to fix the root cause if it happened again. He was also extremely friendly and passionate about his job. Highly recommend!

Super nice guy and very quick. The cable came off at 4:45 on Friday night and Jamie was at my house by 8:30 Saturday morning. In about 15 minutes he was done. Very affordable. This was the second time we called him and I couldnt be happier with his service.

If your garage door is broken, you should absolutely call Schmitz! They arrived at my house an hour and a half after I called and fixed my problem in under 15 minutes. They are responsive and trustworthy. There is nothing bad I can say about their work or their service! I will never use any other company for my garage door needs.

Garage door springs broke on a Friday evening. I contacted them first thing Saturday morning (another plus) at 8:15 a.m. for an appointment. They arrived within two hours, and done within an hour. Very professional, top notch service, and pricing was very reasonable.

My experience with Schmitz Door Service was the best customer service I have ever had! It was Friday night and I was transitioning from being a working mom to a sports practice caravan driver while also planning dinner, checking texts and getting our puppy in the vehicle and I backed in to our opening garage door knocking the thing off the track and bending the door. I called the first place that came up on my google search and they couldnt come until Monday. Not gonna work. I then called Jamie at Schmitz and he told me he would come right over. Not only did he take the time from his family time but he fixed the door to perfect condition in little time for an amazing deal!!! Our garage door got damaged over the weekend and didnt close anymore. We called Robert first thing Monday morning. Although he was very busy, he planned to stop by later in the afternoon. My garage door opener broke during a recent cold snap and I called Schmitz first thing in the morning. While they could not get out immediately, they gave me a good time frame of when theyd be out during that same day. They called before leaving to let me know they were on their way and showed up on time. They showed me why the opener broke, what caused it and what theyd need to do to repair it. They were even willing to show me step-by-step what they were doing to repair the opener and an hour later my door was working again.Not only did they fix my garage door opener in a speedy manner, they taught me plenty about it too.
