I came here to find a pair of frames. There was a wide variety and interesting selection. The woman who helped me, Sarah, was knowledgeable and professional. The process was efficient and actually enjoyable. The customer service and level of attention to detail was exceptional. I would highly recommend.

What a Super Experience!I went in for my exam just before the Safer at home orders.When my contacts came in, I was just not up to getting out and picking them up - and thinking I still had a set left, I had thrown out my last pair.I am terribly nearsighted and really have a hard time in my old glasses.Stella offered to hand deliver my new contacts to me in the middle of the day. She actually drove to my house and brought them to my door.I couldnt be more satisfied with every aspect of my experience.I absolutely will be back again and again.Totally Wowed ! !
Ive been a patient for 8years and this review is long over due.This place is as REAL as Mom & Pop (and baby too!) can get.Very personal service and friendly as can be.The exams are honest and thorough. No speeding you through.The frames are not your average mall variety, but very different.Best of all, you get personalized attention when picking your frames.Highly recommended!

Honestly, I traveled to local stores (Lens Crafters and Stanton) and Lens Crafters acted like I was invisible with no one helping me and Stanton people were spectacular but the product felt too cheap. So I decided to give Eyeopia a chance. Its true they do first work without you using a mirror to see the correct size and fit for you. I appreciated it. Then they allow you to look and try on and they are super patient. I was the last appointment of the day and they seemed to not care how long it tool so long as I found a pair that I loved. I will say the glasses are quite pricey but you are paying for amazing service. While I am sure this process may not be for everyone - it is strategically set up this way and for me it was great. The few reviews that say they are rude - I really find hard to believe. They were down to earth, very attentive and committed to having me leave as a pleased customer. I had an exceptional experience.My exam was very thorough and quite informative. Ive been wearing glasses since I was a child and have always been less than satisfied with my vision. Never has any doctor taken the time that Dr. Andreakos took to really explain my vision.The Staff were great. Sarah and Stella helped me update my look, and I really appreciated the honest feedback. I think they had me try on a hundred different pairs.Ill certainly be back and recommend eyeopia to all my friends.
What a great experience! Ive never had someone help so thoroughly in picking out my frames before. I sat down and with in minutes, I must have tried on 50 frames! Stella and Sarah are such a joy and really seem to like what they do. They are certainly good at it. Ive never gotten so many compliments on my glasses!

This is what choosing glasses, or rather eyewear, should be like!I took a chance and tried their personalized eyewear selection by appointment. It seemed odd to have to schedule an appointment, but it made sense once I got there and realized how much time is devoted to each customer.First they had me try on more frames than I couldve thought to on my own, quickly judging the fit of each one.. and all without a mirror!Then, they arranged the frames into groups and I was given a mirror. My mission: choose your favorite styles, not colors, and well move in that direction on the next roundWe went through 3 or 4 rounds each time with a different optician chiming in. I settled on five frames that I really loved, but couldnt decide.They sent me home with pictures of each to share with friends.I cant wait to come back and make a final selection. FUN!!
After almost 10 years Im looking for a new clinic. Ive been hoping that the one bad thing about this place (the office manager) would change. I hoped she would quit or screw up enough times to be let go. Nope. Now that I realize shes the doctors wife, I have no choice but to go elsewhere. Every interaction I have had with her has been awful. Shes totally disorganized and really does not have any customer service skills. Im sure she (Stella) is the reason behind every other review saying they waited weeks upon weeks for frames, contacts, even a simple response... She would not keep a job there if she wasnt married to the doctor. It is incredibly disappointing. Update -- I tried James & Enyart last year and am happy with them so far.

She really got to know me, and helped me find the perfect pair based on my needs, wants and sense of style! I highly suggest paying them a visit! It is a wonderful experience.
WOW!! I didnt know exceptional service even existed anymore!! I felt so comfortable there I even left my purse on the counter while I was in examine room....I dont even leave my purse in my living room!!! But above all, the exam!! Thorough!!!! I wouldnt go anywhere else! The DrPete is so very thorough and informative. I had the misfortune of having a really bad corneal ulcer a few years ago and that prompted my first visit. I was glad that he was there and they saw me right away. Since then, Ive been back to get Super Stylish! Glasses. Stella and the Staff are great. I sincerely appreciate the personalized approach and especially the honesty.

I just had the BEST eye exam from Dr Pete and framing styling experience at EYEOPIA. Dr Pete patiently listened and carefully addressed each of my eye problems. The knowledgeable and experienced opticians at Eyeopia made the frame styling experience so enjoyable. Around mid-November I had a great experience trying out different frames - the personal attention and recommendations were great. Unfortunately, they didnt have the color I wanted in stock, so they placed an order with the manufacturer. This is where things fell apart. I didnt hear back after a couple weeks, so I followed-up by calling the shop. I was told that the manufacturer sent the wrong frames. I didnt hear back for another couple weeks, so I called the shop again. I was told to expect a call back later in the day with the status. I received no call or voicemail in the 3 business days since. Unfortunately, now that it is last day of December and I need to use my FSA, I went to Warby Parker instead and had a great experience selecting and buying 2 new pair.

I cant speak highly enough of the customer service at Eyeopia! Ive always found browsing walls of frames to be overwhelming. At Eyeopia they begin by looking carefully at your face and then bringing you several frames that they think would work in terms of size and shape. Theyre not pushy about this, and I found it saved a lot of time and confusion, because they have a huge selection of really nice styles. The lenses were made in less than 10 days and were perfect. Theyre a local business that Im happy to support!
Been waiting over a month for the contacts I asked these people to order. They have never returned my phone calls. Perscription strength was significantly less than my old ones, which lead to a lot of squinting and headaches. Ordered my contacts online and went to a different optometrist instead. Would not recommend this business or their services to anyone for any reason.
This place would not touch my broken glasses because they were bought elsewhere. I guess Ill head down to a decent shop on State for this simple repair. Never coming back

And someone who will help pick outframes based on the shape of your face, and how your eyes are set.The exam can go long depending on how chatty you get. But who doesnt like a good conversation? Go ahead and give them a try!
Worst customer service experience of my life. Would not recommend supporting this business- unless youre looking to be treated rudely, waste your time and money.On the plus side I found what I was looking for online for a fraction of the cost, with great service!
These glasses must see into the future, because in what world does the customer get NO say in the style, color or fit of their purchase.Upon arrival you will be asked to have a seat where you will wait and then be presented with a variety of glasses to try on, but only the associate will see you in them and determine yay or nay. You have no say in which style you are trying on or see how you look in them.Don’t expect to stray from this odd and dysfunctional customer service. When we mentioned that the process may not be working for us Stella rudely dismissed us and our request.Thankfully, Madison has plenty of eyerwear shops, avoid this one unless your Mom never taught you how to make independent decisions.
Eyeopia is a shining example of a boutique business. Nothing cookie cutter about the experience here from the exam, to the eyewear selection to the process of finding your frames. They deliver for any customer that is truly in the market for something exceptional.
The false politeness of the staff here does not last long. Something so small as wanting to see my frames on myself brought rude comments from the manager and doctor. These people are completely unprofessional, and pompous. Maybe they are trying to justify the outrageously overpriced frames. Dont bother wasting your time or money- these people are CRAZY and have terrible service.
Mr Peter has a great sense of humor! He was awesome with my 7 year old, he is cool and full of life! He is working out of Walmart on East captail in Milwaukee come pay him a visit!!! He helped my daughter get her confidence back in reading!!!!!!!!!! You rock!
What an unexpectedly wornderful experience.I can see why theres such a disparity in opinions about this place.Its certainly different.Its not self serve, but rather very engaging and personal.If you are not comfortable interacting on that personal basis, its absolutely not for you.My sister recommended going to eyeopia. Shed been going there for years. But I didnt get glasses until a couple of years ago and had been bouncing around the typical corporate places.I was having trouble getting used to my invisible trifocals and so after a couple of failed attempts, I figured I might as well take her advice and give eyeopia a shot.They started out by looking at my perscription, then fitting me for frames and then I got to choose between styles that fit.True, I got plenty of help and opinions from staff and other customers.Then the strangest thig. They took pics of me with my favorite frames and told me theyd email them to me. They said I should come back again and be sure I loved what we chose. Nice!When I got my new glasses I was very pleased with both the vision and the fit, but especially my new look!
Very poor service. I’ve been waiting 8 weeks for my glasses, and they’ve been telling me for weeks that “they’ll be here Tuesday...next week...soon.” If you choose to buy your glasses here, don’t pay until you get your glasses. Something is off on their service. I was promised a number of articles and follow-up items via email from the doctor, and he sent nothing. Also, it’s impossible to reach them by phone.

I love, love, love Eyeopia. Peter is the most personable, thoughtful, and engaged optometrist I have ever had. He explains to me what is going on with my eyes so I feel knowledgeable and cared for. Stella is enthusiastic, kind, and accommodating. It is such a special and rare experience to find such a passionate and fun business.They have a wonderful selection of interesting and unique frames that far surpasses what you find at your run-of-the-mill optometrists or large brand vision stores. Those guys cant hold a candle to Eyeopia. And Eyeopia knows how to stretch my insurance dollars, too, to get the most value out of my plan..Peter put me in an amazing set of cat-eye Seraphin frames years ago that have since become my look. And when I was finally ready for progressives, Peter hand-picked a set of Caroline Abram cat-eyes that he knew were exactly what I would want. The boutique experience is beyond compare. Ill never go anywhere else.
I had my eye appointment with Dr. Pete at the Monroe St Eyeopia. Hes the first eye doctor Ive had that has really taken the time to clearly explain my eyesight issues. He really cares that you understand your eyesight, which I loved since Im a huge nerd.The frame fitting afterwards was also great. It makes the whole process much easier to have someone picking out frames that would work for me -- I stress out when doing this on my own. They snapped some pictures of the ones we narrowed it down to and e-mailed them to me so my wife could approve.I would definitely recommend them!

BOUGHT GLASSES AT EYEOPIA AND THE FIRST CONTACT WHEN I WAS SOLD A FRAME FOR OVER $700THEY WERE POLITE - THIS WAS NOT THE BI-FOCAL LENS EVEN. THESE GLASSES WERE WELL OVER $1,000.00 BOY HOW THINGS CHANGED WITH THE SERVICE. WHEN I WENT TO GET THE GLASS THEY WOULD NOT TAKE MY PERSCRIPTION FROM MY DR. AND I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW PERSCRIPTION - THE SAME AS ALREADY EXISTING ON MY PAPER. THE DR. WAS VERY ARIGANT AND RUDE - EVEN USED FOUL LANGUAGE. THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE ALL THAT EXISTS IN THE EYE GLASS WORLD. I WATCHED THE GALS WHO WORKED ON ATWOOD AVE. LOCATION BE JUST RUDE TO OTHER CUSTOMERS. THEY COULD NOT LOOK AT THEIR CHOICE OF FRAMES - THE GAL TOLD THEM WHAT WOULD LOOK GOOD. HOW ARIGANT IS THAT. THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE LENS THERE IS BECAUSE THEY WERE A CUSTOM FRAME WHICH OTHER STORES DID NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO SERVICE. ??? NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. - THE GLASSES HAVE BROKEN AND TO EVEN PUT ON A NEW NOSE PIECE TAKES CUSTOME FIXING. GOING FROM THEIR STORE TO NEW YORK AND THEN TO CALIFORNIA AND BACK. WHAT A CRAZY JOKE. THEY HAVE BEEN THERE FOR WEEKS AND NOT ONCE HAS ANYONE FROM THAT STORE CONTACTED US TO GIVE US AN UPDATE - EVEN WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE ONLY ANSWER WE GET EACH TIME WE CALL IS THE LAB IS SHIPPING THEM IN A COUPLE OF DAYS - THAT HAS BEEN NOW OVER A WEEK. WHEN YOU CALL AND SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT THEIR ANSWER IS THE SAME AND WHEN ASKED FOR A MORE FIRM INFORMATION THEY TELL YOU YOU ARE BEING RUDE AND WERE GOING IN CIRCLES - I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT - IM BUSY. THEY THEN HANG UP ON YOU. THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE RUDE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN 42 YEARS OF WEARING GLASSES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. THEY WILL TELL YOU IF THEY ARE GIVING GOOD SERVICE - THEY MISSED THE CLASS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE & IT IS WHAT THE CUSOMERS HAVE TO SAY GOOD & BAD THAT DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF SERVICE. THEY HOWEVER FEEL THEY ARE WAY ABOVE THAT & TELL YOU IF THEY ARE GIVING GOOD SERVICE WEATHER YOU FEEL THAT WAY OR NOT. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!! RUDE!!! AND NASTY PEOPLE TO WORK WITH!!!
