The coffee and atmosphere were great. I tried the caramel macchiato, it was smooth not overly sweet. I did get a hot sandwich which came out ice cold in the middle but the staff fixed it after I asked.

We tried several things from their fall drinks line up and were not let down. The spooky chai had hints of pumpkin and was amazing.

Really enjoy hanging out and getting work done here. Solid drinks and food options, as well. I just wish they would consider some longer hours -- hard to justify going downtown after class when Ill barely be there for an hour.

Its no surprise that every review Z Beans has is 5 stars, and I am certain not going to break the streak. What a fantastic spot. Clean and spacious with a lot of seating, even some bigger tables for groups. Excellent customer service; quick, courteous and friendly. I had a 20oz. Cold Brew which was delicious and potent without the alcohol taste that some cold brews get. Highly recommend this little gem in Macon.

They have really a good fall drink menu full of options! I really enjoyed the Hot Apple Chaider.

The service is beyond horrible. Extremely slow, had to ask for food that never showed up, and had to ask for napkins twice and finally got paper towels from the kitchen. Half of my parties drinkswere awful, food was cold and greasy beyond words. I brought out of town family here because of the high ratings. I have no clue how it rated so high.Update:Z Beans Coffee did contact me, Shane Brewster was very apologetic, professional and courteous. He promptly refunded our money. I was most impressed that he personally reached out to make restitution. Thank you Shane!

I really like this place. We sat here for hours on May 28th 2021 when Tyler Perry was filming his movie. They were very nice and courteous all day. Great smoothies and chocolate chip cookies too. I will return❣️❣️

Horribly slow service, no eggs so ordering fresh breakfast items was out of the question. The croissant sandwich they had was terrible. Definitely would not recommend for anyone wanting an enjoyable experience

Wonderful coffee and atmosphere! I came here both mornings I was in town and will be back the next time Im in Macon. The barrista was so nice and remembered me when I came back in. I even bought coffee to take home. If youre in Macon do yourself a favor and stop by here.

I came here July 18th and working in coffee shops and running them for a long time I do appreciate the hard work they put into it however it seems as though the employees didn’t get the training to use the espresso machine or the customer service for the amount of business they get. Took 45 minutes for 5 people to get 2 milkshakes a hot chocolate *which did not taste good and the milk was VERY burnt* an iced chai and a few food items. I hate to be the person to complain however service was extremely slow and almost everything had to be sent back to be reheated or remade. I personally got my food before my drink which wasn’t very appealing personally. Unfortunately I will not be visiting this location again unless there is an improvement in the customer service and food and beverage productivity.

We stopped in today, July 4th, around 9 am. I want to start by saying the coffee and gluten-free breakfast sandwich were great.I will say that I was very put off at the service. The line of service/production is a little confusing since the register is located after the food prep counter. So, when the woman behind the prep-counter asked what we would like to eat, the young man behind the register told us to wait to order so it wouldnt be confusing (for who, him? Seems pretty simple...), and was rude and gruff toward his coworker. I almost asked him why she couldnt help us (there were only 2 other customers in the building) because he was the one holding up the line, but I decided to keep my mouth shut as I didnt want her to catch more hell. It was clear she was pretty new but was focused on greeting and trying to accommodate waiting customers. By the time we left, there were two customers who had been waiting close to 10 minutes to order (there was no line) because of the dramatic inefficiency of this young man and his awful lack of communication with his coworker. It might be helpful to switch their roles because she was much more in top of things than he was.Honestly, from what I saw, her personal and organizational skills far exceed his, not to mention how unprofessional he acted toward her. I dont want this to affect anyones job security but perhaps more training on efficiency and how to treat people is needed - DEI, people!

Great coffee and great story

Z Beans has locations in Downtown Macon and Mercer Village. I frequent the downtown store near during the week and the Mercer Village shop on weekends. Both locations are great. Coffee is consistently good. Staff is always super friendly! Owner is local, and his business has an endearing backstory.

My standard for a coffee shop is, well coffee. This place doesnt have espresso, thus not a coffee shop. Plus $4 for a 12 ounce drip coffee??

The food was cold. The hot chocolate was disgusting. The customer service was terrible. I asked them to remake my food and when it came back it was still freezing! This has been the worst coffee shop experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else

Z beans coffee has to be the best coffee I’ve ever had. The staff always greet me with a friendly face and are very knowledgeable about the coffee business. Z beans has a great mission and their Ecuadorian coffee can’t be beat! Would recommend to anyone who loves a good cup of coffee at any time of the day! Also, their gluten free brownies are DELICIOUS!

Zbeans downtown location has a great atmosphere and friendly vibe. Good Prices and attention to detail service. Saying hello and a smile go along way with first time visitors and repeat ones too. My ginger /peach tea was flavorful, perfect on a hot day. They had lots of baked goods, an all day quick bites menu as well as sandwiches and offer breakfast. Parking was accessable along cotton ave. We enjoyed meeting Shane and his family and hearing about the journey he is still on creating this business and the farmers he is working with.

Every single time I come to the downtown location the staff members are extremely slow in taking and filling orders. They never seem to have the same training as one another which mucks up the whole system of ordering and receiving food.Today it took nearly 15 minutes for two people to make two sandwiches which come mostly pre-made already and when I got to work and sat down to eat the sandwich wasn’t even made correctly. This is not the first time they’ve messed up my food order and that of others in my parties.The only reasons I keep returning is because the coffee is good, it’s convenient for my live/work situation and I want to support local, but this location makes it extremely difficult to want to come back each time.I hope the training of the employees improve but I would not be surprised if nothing changes as these issues have been going on for over 2 years of me visiting this location.I will gladly change my review if I see improvements.

Overpriced. Ordered a black coffee with a splash of almond milk.... I was charged $3.50 for it and the coffee was basically a plain black coffee.My husband got a muffin and said that was good but if I was going to get a coffee again Id go to Starbucks every time for that price.

This place is definitely my go-to when Im in Macon. Not only really good tasting coffee but a really smooth atmosphere. Great customer service! Im a little particular when it comes to my breakfast food and they absolutely have a wide variety of breakfast items to accommodate that. My favorite was the egg and cheese croissant. Definitely a must try!

Great pit stop if you are driving through Macon and don’t want quick gas station coffee. Just 5 minutes off the interstate, the coffee is the best I’ve had, and the people are great. Definitely order the cinnamon rolls if they have some available.

Best Coffee around. Do yourself a favor if you are heading to Dunkin just take the extra 4 or 5 min to drive here and get yourself a far better cup of coffee.

As soon as you walk in the door of Z Beans, youre greeted with the smell of roasted coffee beans, and mouthwatering pastries. The seating is comfortable and spacious and the coffee is so smooth and roasted to perfection. Its the perfect place to study, read, catch up with friends, or get out of the summer heat. The employees are personable and welcoming, and the owner is more than willing to talk to customers about the product and its Ecuadorian origins. Seriously, you do not want to miss out on Z Beans!

As a Uber delivery driver their service is excellent, the brought the food to the car and offer water to us as a driver. That was so sweet. Personally Ive never eaten here or had a cup of coffee but Ill definitely be back for myself

My wife and I each got their Chai tea latte. They were delicious. Friendly staff as well. The environment and seating is nothing special. They could improve the interior. The pastries all seem to be store bought with nothing unique. The menu was difficult to sort through with so many options written in the same font /colors all crowded on a chalk board.

Im soooo glad I didnt find a Starbucks because I would have missed out on a fabulous cup of Cafe Con Leche, a tasty muffin and pleasant service.The dining area was large and spacious, quiet and comfy! Oh and did I mention the great coffee! It was soooo good!If I make my way back to Macon, you bet your bottom Ill be back in this spot. Id be ecstatic Id the owners expanded and brought a shop to Augusta!
