10 minute long winded voice mail answering message from the manager if you call to speak to someone. Then once you have listened to him fumble through the script you dont even get the chance to speak to someone at that location... Which is important because twice I have reserved pieces of equipment through this location and neither were they available when I came to get my rental. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION.
Giving 1 star because the representative who assisted us after the fact was, initially, helpful in triaging our situation. I purchased and scheduled a tow hitch install online. The day before the install I was called by a representative and informed the part was not in for tomorrows install. I was advised it should arrive the following week and we would get a phone call to schedule a new install date. The rep over the phone was very confident in his delivery so I felt reassured with the contingency. Half way thru the following week there was no update. We called (waited an forever on hold), and through a series of confusing back and forth questions we found they had already scheduled us for an appointment 3+ weeks out in the middle of a work day. Without consent. I received no phone to confirm this, and this date did not work out for us as we had already had a family trip planned and cancelled due to the original delay. The representative located a part in the area (why this wasnt done during the initial notification I received the week prior I do no know) and advised she would get us over to the GM at that site. Instead we were connected to the main line and put on hold. No resolution at this time and I will be cancelling the order and going thru my local dealership.
When I picked up boxes for moving, they said I could return any that were unused. They did not say there were d as my other conditions. However, when I returned a couple weeks later, and interacted with the same rep who told me they could be returned, they refused to accept them. They claimed I had to have the specific printed receipt from the time of purchase - pricing the purchase amount and date via bank card transaction wasn’t enough. They also were clearly enjoying enforcing this BS.Plus just slow, bumbling service all around.
Not happy with their customer service at the front desk or the fact I was supposed to receive a text for a fast check in. I never received the initial text to do a quick quick check in. When I went to pick up the truck the guy said that I should have received at text. He didnt believe me. Then he just leaves me hanging without an explanation and starts helping another customer. After some time another customer service guy comes in and starts to help. The first guy that didnt believe me says this guy doesnt know how to do a his shelve check in.. So the other guy helped me with normal slow check in. However, this wasnt even the main issue. I was not told that I could rent a truck one way and save money a lot of money. The charge for a 15 footer truck came to $377.00 (Plus, I returned the truck back 2 hours earlier than rented for) When I saw charge I was shocked. When they did the check in they should have asked my how far I was going to let me know how much this would be if I didnt do a one way. After coming back the guy that help with the return saw the large charge and said the guy at the counter can probably help me lower the amount since they didnt inform me of doing a one way. When ask to see if they could adjust the amount the guy said sorry there was noting he could do. So, obviously this is BS since the guy checking in the truck he said he could help me. In other words, some people get an adjustment while other dont. Will never use U-Haul again.
I dont give one star review lightly, but GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Shady business practices. NOT sanitizing for COVID. Oil print on the car horn not left by my greasy fingers. Car was not cleaned, damage was not recorded, broken window was in the check out pictures, firmly established I was going to be back at a certain time and was called two hours earlier at the time of whatever was going through the front desk persons head. Absolutely no customer service skills, complete disregard for the fact I was standing in front of them and asking direct questions.
Was told that I would be able to pick up a car hauler for a 60 mile one way. After driving 60 miles to this uhaul center the salty attendant told me to have it back at whatever time and I told him I was dropping it off at my local UHAUL center and he was quick to tell me that I wasnt dropping it off at home. So they wouldnt let the car hauler go on a one way after reserving it for one way. Apparently Matt, owns all of the equipment there and doesnt let his only car hauler go. The attendants mentioned to one another about how they dont want to get yelled at by Matt. He was nice enough to find me a car hauler just 6 miles up the street in the opposite direction that I was going. I just called a tow truck. If you ever reserve a one way be sure to get Matts permission to take his equipment..
I have been renting trucks at this location since my family and I moved to Edmonds. Every time we get new furniture we rent a truck. I have been having nothing but an excellent service from this place! Staff is really friendly, starting from the guys at the counter and even the guy (Joseph) who receives the trucks when returning them. Jospeh is always happy and makes jokes all the time. This makes the experience even better. Again, this location has been great! Keep up the good work!
I came in to pick up a moving supply order, and the woman in front of me was taking her sweet time berating the employee working at the front desk, Shane. She was upset she had to return her 8 hour rental 8 hours after she had picked it up🙄 and continued to tell him how awful he had treated her that morning when he had helped her adjust the mirrors on the vehicle. She had insulted and been rude to the employees working out on the lot, despite this everyone I encountered were nothing but polite and professional even as she kept complaining on her way out. Shane helped me get the items from my order quickly and even offered to help me bring them to my car. Excellent customer service at this location, even to the Karens!
Thier system isnt working so Im just standing here waiting for an unknown amount of time while i wait and the employee at the desk is not doing a very good job letting his mask on. The other employee doesnt seem aware that your nose is connected to the rest of your respiratory system. Cant seem to keep it covered with his mask.
Service too slow. And Always extra charge for the miles so keep a track taking a picture. On top of that they charge twice $19.95 for their rental rate and rental charge aren’t both the same? If you have questions answer yourself the guy don’t really explain much they lack costumer service skills
We ordered their contactless service to pick up a truck. The key wasnt in the back or in the lock box as it was supposed to be, so we had go in and talk to a rep to figure out the problem. That took awhile. We had ordered an appliance dolly, but that was also missing.It took multiple trips inside to get a utility dolly (UHaul never has appliance dollies) and everything else straightened out. We finally got into the truck cabin to find that it was completely filthy. UHauls website had a statement that it cleans after every customer, but the truck had obviously not been cleaned in months. Not a good experience.
U-haul as a whole is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. And I have had to use U-haul many times. And I have yet to experience quality customer service. I assume that the people in the stores just dont get paid enough to really care about the customers. God forbid they EVER ANSWER THE PHONE! But I dont want to blame just the branches for this. I blame the entire company as a whole. Their business model is to blame. From overcharging, to the lack of customer care, to imcompetent staff. Reservations being lost. Managers not relaying info to other staff about ongoing situations. Payments lost. I hate u-haul and vow to never use u-haul and will never recommend u-haul to anyone I actually care about.
Had a 10:00 appointment to get a hitch installed. I arrived at 9:40 and walked inside to find 3 other people waiting inside and no employees around. We stood there and waited...and waited...and waited...as other customers came and left without an employee in sight. Finally, around 11:30, an employee showed up and started checking people in. By this time 2 of the 3 people in front of me had given up and left and about a half dozen others had come and gone over the course of the two hours. I did eventually get the hitch installed, and that looks fine, but it was not worth standing around for 2 hours to get it.
Do not go here for propane refill. Its never available. Waste of time
Costumer service is about 1 star, after renting the truck i needed for to pick up my new sofa from the store. I did online reservation for 5 hours but I used it for 2 and half hours and I accidentally put extra gas so I thought maybe I could get some refund, but I was wrong! The front desk guy told me to drive around the block until is time and well driving around is wasting gasoline also putting more miles means more $$$ to pay! This is my second time renting truck for this place and the last!
Terrible service. Very rude. Made pick up very complicated and unpleasant. Very unprofessional. Felt like I was forcing them to help me with my rental.
His customer service was beyond atrocious! It wasnt busy at all, in fact, I was the only customer in the whole store. I went there to get some moving boxes but he pretends like I dont even exist. He acted like I was a major interruption to his day! Not a happy person, looks like he has a chip on his shoulder. I told him I will come back the next day, and I went to U haul in Shoreline! Much better! Why do they keep him?

Lexus was absolutely amazing. I had come in after having a really horrible experience with a really old trailer . That had tires that are outdated and a couple other issues. I was super upset when I walked in here and she not only call me down but listen to what I had to say. She treated me without most respect and care. Make sure that I had everything that I needed before I left. Lexus is the best service advisor here dont deal with anybody else. I swear to you that girl take care of you
I was here just looking for an oddly shaped shipping box so I didnt utilize any of their moving services, but I was having difficulties finding a suitable box after having gone to several different stores. The closest box they had for sale was still a little too tall but Shane went out of his way to help me and I ended up the perfect box!

0 stars is too many for my treatment here. I called to change a reservation. They quoted me a price. When I got my bill the price was 10 times higher than the quote! When I called to request a transcript of the phone call, since their phone message says they record all calls, I got this response: Unfortunately due to recording issues we are unable to send the requested call to you. Translation - you were right, we lied to you, but we wont admit it so we can continue cheating you.Ill never use U-Haul again. Neither should you. At least get a truck from a company that pretends to be reputable.

Super clean cargo van rented from here but picking it up we waited almost an hour and dropping off took almost just as long! Ridiculous... We made reservations online so if you dont I cant imagine how much longer the wait would be...
Horrible customer service and experience. Showed up to pick up trailer and was told we couldn’t take it. The customer reps would rather argue with you than find a solution or try to make things right. I won’t be giving them any business ever again.
Ive used U-Haul before, and Ive never had as much difficulty as I did this trip. I reserved a truck (which I highly recommend) for a Saturday (which I do not highly recommend) and waited in line for almost 30 minutes to pick up (not the end of the world). The representative that helped me was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. I did drive from Lynnwood to Olympia and back, so the whole trip cost me about $180, which is a lot more than I wanted to spend, but the pricing structure did make sense. The real issue actually came upon drop off. We did drop off after business hours, which we were told we can do, only to find the lot absolutely packed with other returned trucks. It was myself and another woman both trying to return our trucks so we both called the numbers listed on the door. She was able to reach the General Manager of the store that directed her to park in an adjacent lot, and I was able to reach the District Manager who was incredibly rude and offered me no solution whatsoever. He basically told me it was my fault for not returning it sooner and that I would be charged for another day. I hope this review doesnt reflect to poorly on the store itself, because they were helpful and provided a great solution. The District Manager was obviously completely out of the loop though.

We filled the propane tank of our small class B RV here. The fellow who helped is was friendly and quite competent - as you probably know, this is not always the case when filling propane. The price was as low as Ive seen around Seattle. Theres even a sweet shop dog on the premises!Be advised that the lot is pretty cramped. Larger RVs will not fit.
Went to get some propane tanks filled. The individual who helped me was violently screaming at me to move my tanks over to another loading area. I will never go back there. If you need your propane tanks filled, go to the Texaco station just north of the U-Haul, the owner is professional and courteous.
Rented a pickup at this location in Lynnwood. Got a package deal instead of just doing hourly and mileage because didnt know exsacty how long or how many miles. The operator and the guy at counter said what ever miles I didnt use of the 100 in the package I would get credit back. Seemed fair way to go. I brought the truck back after just 6 hours and only 69 miles. Should have gotten a credit of 31 miles at the rate it was slated for and instead they charged me for miles uses with a 24 hour rate. They were in no way apologetic and helpful in making it right. In the end it was a difference of about 12.00, but its the principal and customer service that was wrong. Crazy to use that place for as expensive it compares to a regular car rental. Wont ever do that again. I always let things like this go but it makes me bitter to have a service do you wrong with mislead information.
Only one experience to offer. I needed a portable propane tank filled. I called ahead to make sure they offered propane, only to find out the only guy trained to do this was not working when I was going to drop in. The person on the phone directed me to another business nearby, which was also cheaper. I appreciated her honesty and helpfulness.
Rude, surely employees incapable of multitasking. They can’t even ring up a bundle of boxes which require zero interaction while on the phone. They often ignore you inside the store, while screwing around in the shop. They’d rather tell you that you can come back later than prioritize stuff better. Will be buying my boxes from Uline from now on.
(FRAUD) I got a U-Haul at this location 4 months ago I moved to Lakewood Washington.. I got a charge on my credit card yesterday and it was an in-person charge so somebody at that stores a thief Ive already cancelled my credit card and filed a fraud claim so theyre looking into it but doubt it will go far so I tried to call to tell a manager that somebody is using my card and maybe other peoples..But I got as far a a call center .. so just a warning to anyone wanting to get a U-Haul there, There is a thief at that location!
Great service. Had truck available for rent during the weekend; even the Thursday before hand. Most other dealers were out of the smaller units that late in the week.I used them to rent a 10-foot truck; all went very well/smooth, and was most pleased with working with them.
I rented a 15 U-haul truck (one-way) from the east side of the mountains and dropped it off at this location. A couple of weeks later I rented a cargo van here for the day. Both times I found the staff to be amazingly friendly and helpful and the experience to be very positive and satisfying. They have a huge selection of trucks and trailers and vans here and the got me just what I needed at the last minute too. Fair prices and they offer a wide range of moving supplies. Their lot is a little cramped but you cant beat them for service or selection. Ill definitely rent here again.
More than once has this location helped us when we were in a bind, and they are incredibly efficient.
I rented a 20ft truck and an autotransport trailer from 2 other different locations as they were only available there. I was moving a long ways away and I had my stuff all moved into the truck, and the trailer was hitched up at the North Lynnwood location. The guy who hitched up the trailer for me at North Lynnwood did a bad job as not long after I left their lot, a couple of guys were honking at me telling me that my chain is dragging from the trailer. So I took drove the truck and trailer to this Lynnwood location and the 2 guys there, Kevin and Joe, helped me so much.First of all, Kevin helped me tie back the chain in the trailer properly. I told him I had to go home and get my car to bring it here to load it onto the trailer as I had never done it before and didnt think I could do it right, especially when it was getting dark. It was about 50 minutes before they closed for the evening but he was cool about it, not rushing me at all. I ordered a cab but it took forever and I had never used Uber before. So Joe kindly offered to order an Uber for me and it came like a minute later. He paid for it and I paid him back. I drove my car back there less than 15 minutes before they closed.Kevin and Joe went to work straight away, working together diligently. I felt bad that I came do late and could possibly cause them to have to stay after their closing time. But they didnt mind one bit. My car was loaded up and properly secured on the trailer. Joe also spotted another fault from the North Lynnwood guy- the safety chains connecting the truck and the trailer had too much slack and could potentially drag on the road. So he fixed that too. When I first got there without much time before they closed, things didnt look good and it didnt look like I could start on my moving journey that evening. But Kevin and Joe saved the day for me. They were so nice and helpful and easygoing. Thanks a lot guys!!
Staff was great and very flexible, even with an incredibly busy weekend. For self-motivated equipment, recommend renting here. Had a great experience!
No problems renting truck as I only waited a few minutes on a Sunday morning and returned right before closing time. Problem arose when bill was e-mailed with extra charge for gas and use of pads. I called the following day and explained that I had a gas receipt dated/timed 5 minutes before drop-off and photo showing pads were still zip tied inside truck. I was told someone would get back to me but after two weeks I havent heard from them. On two occasions I e-mailed the Lynnwood office and U-Haul corporate without any response. When I challenged the bill with Visa the charges were dropped but I wonder how many stressed out people simple pay the bill without noticing.
Called and made a same day reservation, showed up and they no longer had the truck I reserved or could find me in their system. Instead of trying to make it right they told me to go to another uhaul facility because it wasn’t their problem. Terrible customer service.
If I could give no stars I would. Reserved a truck which was not there. Man behind counter was extremely rude and kept saying the reservation was for a smaller truck even though uhaul customer service provided it was not. Their resolution was to rent me two trucks and charge me even more money because of their mistake or drive an hour plus away to get the right truck. Costed my business 100s of dollar. I recommend using Penske or budget. Uhaul as a company is a joke

Made an appt and paid for a hitch install on 7/7/17 for an install date of 7/15/17. Reread the auto email I received on Friday 7/14/17. Realized the store was supposed to call me and they hadnt and it was the day before the install was to take place. I called uhaul, customer service center put in a message for store to call me. Shane called me back to let me know that the parts were not going to be there for 6 days. I asked for him to cancel the order. I also called on Saturday 7/15/17 to make sure the order had been cancelled properly and I would be getting my $337 bucks back. Call center said I would. Here we are on Friday, 7/28/17, per another phone call to the call center on Tuesday 7/25/17, because you cannot reach the store I was supposed to have received a phone call from the store because they are supposed to be the ones issuing my credit. I have not received a phone call. Bad customer service!! Plus the call center thing DOES NOT work for these stores.
Uhaul has horrible customer service as a company. I reserved a 4x8 trailer over two months ago for my move, and I am called the day before telling me that either I have to get a different sized trailer or I have to drive two hours to get the size I reserved. I need the size that I actually reserved, so I guess I’m wasting my time because Uhaul can’t do their job. I wish there was another company to use because I don’t want to give anything to this horrible business.

Everyone here and at every uhaul I have ever used has been amazing.... except for Shane. See, Shane is the type of person to inconvenience you just because he can. Which makes him a pretty terrible human being, let alone someone I want to do business with. He even called ahead to wish his petty attitude onto the next store when I went to rent a trailer on his lot that he said was down for service only to watch it be rented by the next person. Uhaul should be ashamed that amongst all their great employees, they also employ someone like Shane. Id probably be upset if I was him too if I had to be him (youd know what I mean if you knew him.) I hope uhaul reads this and contacts me. Shane didnt seem to want to talk on the phone to the person he remembered that he is inconveniencing because he is unhappy with himself.
After be using this store for like 5 times I just didnt find any reason why the service should be rated with a bad reputation, they have been nice and they had respected my reservations all of the times, I have not complaint for them.

Five to six people in the store at 8:15 waiting for service. One employee working taking stuff in and renting stuff out. Stood in line 30 minutes to rent a trailer. The employee was nice and working his butt off but cmon U-Haul, staff the store!
Very small crowded with trailers cars and trucks propane is up in a corner where they park all their vans be very difficult to get in there with a full-size RV I hold mine in in my pick up excellent service

I was given a U-Haul that had about 1/8 of fuel left in the tank. I was told to return the vehicle with the amount of gas that was in the tank. When I returned I returned it with 1/8 like it had stated. The next day I received a charge of $57 dollars stating that I had left if under 1/4 of a tank and that they have a fee for doing so.Once I had left the location at first with the U-Haul I drove 3 miles down the road and it beeped stating that I had 50 miles before the tank was completely empty... I dont know how I can be charged a fee for not knowing I needed to return at 1/4 which was putting more gas in it than was originally there? Also why are you checking out vehicles that are on empty? When they are returned fill the tank for your customer so they know they should return it full. Makes it easier for all of your customers then.Anyway, I was robbed almost $60 dollars after paying $220 for a Uhaul overnight. I will never use Uhaul again.
YOU MUST READ. This location rented me a Car Dolly that didnt fit my Pontiac Grand Prix. It tore the dust guard off my car. I called the number provided to me and they called this location back and told them to refund me the cost and find the right one for my needs and THIS LOCATION SAID THEY WOULD AND THEY DIDNT!!! I was treated like I did something wrong. I just wanted to get my wifes car home not be treated as a liar and a thief over $49?!?!?!

Had a first time terrible experience with U-Haul at this location on 5-1-2020 girl at front desk with bright colored hair was very impatient and straight up rude to the point I thought it was a prank or joke me and my co worker also smelt a strong alcohol ordor when she spoke/slurred

This branch is not really helpful, when I rent the truck from Seattle UHAUL is all paid. When I return the truck in this branch he charges me full price for two hour late. He didn’t tell me, he going to charge for that two hour was late. So he did anyway, I wouldn’t recommend this branch to anyone
Convenient location, always have a vehicle when I need to do a quick pick up, and efficient.
A truck was rented to me that broke down within 10 miles. There was zero coolant in the car, so the radiator broke. Uhaul did NOT send a new truck or help me with the rest of my move. They passed us off via phone between several tow truck companies and corporate talking heads. I was stranded on the side of the rode for 4 hours before a tow truck company towed my vehicle to my final move destination so that I could complete my move. By this time, the movers I had hired had already gone home so I had to move everything myself. Uhaul not only had no consideration for my needs or time on moving day, they also apparently could not take care of their own vehicle or arrange a replacement in any sort of timely manner. Utterly awful service. Next time, I will pay the extra money to hire a moving company that is responsible for their own truck so that they are more invested and careful about the end-to-end process. Uhaul would rather save a buck and send you on your own way, without regard for your own safety or the potential success of your move.
I called U-Haul of Kenmore, WA, in the morning, to inquire about renting a tow dolly and purchasing bar and ball. They asked for some personal information and confirmed that they had the equipment at the desired location, we agreed upon a pickup time and I provided my credit card details to hold the information.I arrived in Kenmore approximately an hour later and was greeted by the store manager who informed me that they in fact didn’t have a tow dolly but that he made a reservation for one for me at the Lynwood, WA location. We asked about being compensated for the mistake in some way and he told us to discuss that we the good people at Lynwood U-Haul which we promptly did upon arrival. The person helping us said he had to call the manager we had talked to at the other store to confirm that he agreed to that which I plainly made clear that he hadn’t. Moreover, when I told him that I had a reservation the gentleman helping us asked to see the email stating that there was fine print that the reservation was for available equipment only and not guaranteed for that location (there was nothing of the sort in the email). So U-Haul’s own employee’s think that it’s company polcy that when you make a reservation U-Haul 1) doesn’t have to provide you with the reserved equipment and 2) doesn’t have to provide you with the reserved equipment at the specified location. So I guess running around to different locations to look for the equipment you need is commonplace. But it shouldn’t be.I delivered upon my end of the deal, arrived on time and proffered my credit card information. However, U-Haul did not. They couldn’t even figure out if they had the peice of equipment that I required at the location that I wanted to pick it up at. This lead me to have to spend my time and money to go miles out of my way, then to ask for them to try to fix it by giving me a discount, which in turn I was met with more time wasting and no help. The real kicker was a half an hour later or so I received a voicemail from U-Haul, as I was driving, asking if I had returned the equipment that I had rented. I had to waste further time and was caused further stress calling them back to confirm that my equipment was in fact showing as returned.This company is a joke. Another example of poor customer service, systems problems and a company that’s finds it’s absolutely acceptable to do the bare minimum or as often as they can less. But you’ll be the one that suffers for it and don’t expect anything in return for your wasted, running around and so forth.Individuals, are held accountable for our missteps. For example, if I missed my reservation, I know U-Haul would have changed my credit card ASAP. However, these companies take it as their business model to do the bare minimum or often less and they have no accountability for the issues that it causes someone.I will be boycotting U-Haul in the future and sharing this story via social media and other avenues.However, if you’re looking for a tow dolly by itself, U-Haul is one of and may be your only option, as Penske, Budget and others rent the tow dolly with a truck. So you’re stuck and U-Haul knows it, so they can continue to do the bare minimum or less and get away with it. But at least you now know the game and I hope that you can use this information to your advantage and hopefully avoid U-Haul altogether.

The guy at the store had the personality of a belligerent, irritated rat. He barked orders at us while we stood directly across the counter. We got jacked around trying to return the truck- the dropoff location was changed 3 times. We will NEVER use uhaul ever again.
Reserved a truck with these clowns and they decided it wasnt important enough to let me know that they wouldnt have it available! Totally through a wrench in our moving plans and had to run to J&R truck rentals who had one available.What is the point of a reservation system when you dont actually have peoples reservations available? Uhaul has gone so far down in the last 10 years that its just sad. The staff could care less and are just a bunch of ignorant snots.Dont ever use Uhaul, There are other options out there.
They put you on hold and never return to the call.
Terrible customer-service if I could give less than one star i would. Do not get service from Pat. I walked in and he dont acknowledg my presence or greet me at all he didnt respond intel I made a comment on which size truck I would need and then he said oh that truck isnt available and you wont get one. So I asked if I could do one for the next day-and he said ya if you want to only have it for 2 hours. Very rude will never give them my business again.
The whole staff is knowledgeable and very helpful, of course, every buisness has its flaws, but overall, this is one of the best Uhauls there is.
I was checked in by a worker named Christian. He was rude, pushy, and could have cared less about the job that he was doing. I will never use uHaul of Lynnwood again, and I will tell all of my friends about what happened.
If you decide to risk using this Uhaul location, be sure to request receipts of everything!

Service was ok but the interior of the truck was disgusting. It was filthy, the steering wheel was sticky and I had to keep the windows down because the smell of cigarettes was so overpowering.
TERRIBLE customer service. Not helpful at all about answering my questions. Would not help me load my car with all our boxes, they were short and non responsive on the phone when I called to confirm what time to pick up our truck. Will not be using them again.
Terrible experience!! I waited 34 minutes just to turn in a uhaul. After I waited in a long line the owner told me I had to go back outside and have the employee there check off my uhaul turn-in (there were no previous instructions telling me to do this to save time). After getting paper work from that employee I had to THEN go back inside and wait in line again just to pay...
Complete JV. Doesnt matter when you call they forward the phones and have no idea how to schedule appointments.
I talked to the employee there, but a guy was working on his PC, and left me there 3 mins. Suck
