I have been with Public Storage in sever locations over the past 15 years. On the average, Ive witnessed various ups and downs in my experience. Today, I had the pleasure with renting a unit at this location, and I would give the transaction a +10, for both how smoothly it went, and especially for Betty, the Property Manager. Very knowledgeable, compassionate, and appreciated. At this time, during Bettys time here as manager, I find no reasons for anyone questioning securing a unit here. Thank you Betty, and thanks to Public Storage for hiring the perfect person to reflect goodness on your name!

A Higher Plane has had a storage here at this place since i could remember.. for like 30 plus years...thats gotta say something about them. 5 stars

My rental space was infested with rats and management does not care. Insurance only covers $250 of vermin coverage, with a $100 deductible - worthless. But management says they arent insurance adjusters! When I talked to the manager, he told me I was covered for $5K - hard to believe he didnt know they didnt cover vermin. No apology, nothing..they dont care about you and they definitely dont care about your belongings. I have rented here for years, spent thousands of dollars in storage fees, and am truly heartbroken and angry from the damage. They knew they had a rat issue months ago, but said NOTHING. After reading reviews on Yelp, apparently this has been going on for years but management acts like its a new problem & only says they sorry, they arent insurance adjusters! They possibly could have prevented damage if they let us know, but they did not even do that! I will be seeking legal consultation, not because of the money, but principle at this point. And telling everyone I know to stay away from Public Storage, I am disgusted, do not rent here!

Customer service at this location was great. Been renting a unit here and at other locations for more than 2 years, but Henry and May from this location are just great individuals. They listen, they understand, they accommodate, and are there to help you. This Public Storage location is in a great location, easily accessible from the highway, and has convenient hours. Do recommend speaking to either May or Henry before you secure a storage unit from another location.

These people keep failing to correctly setup auto pay and they keep trying to stick me with fees soon as my payment is late. But it should have never been late. They just lied to me and said auto pay has been setup. And not just one time! Multiple times!

Ive been storing my belongings here for several months now, I was starting the process of moving when the covid crisis reared its ugly head. So of coarse Ive had $ problems ever since. May, an employee at PS, has had to contact me a couple times about paying, and she has been amazing. Times are tough right now, but she didnt make me feel like less of a person due to the circumstances. She is a total pleasure to deal with. The property is always clean, secure, and has very easy access. If you are needing storage, this is the place to go. And make sure to tell May hello =).

There was a worker named Joe who help resolve a very important situation with my unit. He handled it professionally and quickly. He made sure to make the changes necessary and the proper notes passed on for future actions. I left feeling that my unit was taken care of. Thank you Joe for all your help.

Rose was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful!There isnt much outside parking here, so just beware if this is your first time here. The code to get in the gate is rather long and you have to enter it while exiting as well as entering, but that just means it is extra secure. Overall, I have had a good experience!

It’s all about customer service to me. Rose went above and beyond when I was looking for a storage unit. Friendly, Professional and Polite with a sense of humor! I share my experience with family, friends and sometimes even total strangers.

Stopped by to rent a unit for my mother, found Joe in the office to be courteous and helpful showing us the unit and getting all the details worked out. 5x10 unit was clean and dry. Would recommend Joe and this facility if like the average American youve got too much stuff and need somewhere to put it.

Very wild experience. Staff very understanding. I dropped my sandwich on the floor while talking with the lady up front and it went everywhere (it was a meatball marinara) and they helped me clean it up. I felt very welcomed. I would not advise anyone to rent here. I have rented here at this property for over 2 years and each year they have raised my rent. This year they raised it from $134 a month to $171 a month, thats 21.6% in just one year. I am a good tenant, always pay on time and keep a low profile. God only knows what they will try to do next year, but they are going to have to do it to someone else, because I wont be here. When I requested a lower rate of $162, they refused. I had gone online and found that they were renting the exact same space as mine for $162 a month and the first month for $1.00. I suggested that they give me that rate but they declined. When I said I would move to that space, they said that rate was only available to new first time tenants. All I can say is, they are not interested in taking care of their existing customers, so dont be one. They lure you in with special offers then rip you off over time. Now that I have addressed their greed and deception. Lets talk about customer service. I have a 12X12 inside space with power. When I moved in the electrical light fixture was broken. I thought, well the previous tenant broke it and it would be repaired in a timely fashion. Wrong, the work order took over a year and a half to be acted on. I had to make the request 5 times to get it done. After about nine months I inquired to a woman manager when she thought it would be done and with a nasty attitude she says to me, The work request is in what do you want me to do about it. Now 3 weeks ago the motion sensor lights in the hall have gone out and you cant see to unlock your space. Talking with the current manager (which changes all the time) she was creative and said I know the lights are out, so I make sure to take my flashlight with me, LOL. This place is a zoo, in all the time I have been here, I have only met one, helpful, caring person and he did get the light fixture fixed. He is not there any longer, probably didnt fit in. My friend just read this review and ask me why I didnt mention the rodent droppings and rat traps. I guess it just slipped my mind. If you plan on storing anything that a rat can destroy, better think twice about storing it here. Lets just call me very disappointed. I have used this company many times over the last 20 plus years and I have never been treated this poorly. Stick a fork in me cause I am done.

This was the worst possible storage experience, and I would like warn everyone considering storing their stuff here to read this review first!!!We were asked if we would like insurance for our stuff. We declined, and discovered later that someone had broken into our unit and STOLEN our stuff. The staff said they weren’t responsible because we didn’t buy insurance. Inside job?? Furthermore, we had stuff in 2 different units, and discovered rats had infested in both. Our stuff was covered in rat droppings and urine. The stench alone had permeated and destroyed all wood/paper items, and we will have to bleach/dry clean all the remaining items. We discovered many bags of items had been chewed through, and rats had destroyed the clothing items. Again, we had declined to purchase insurance (isnt the job of the storage facility to safely store stuff?), and the company said they were not responsible. Also, we found black mold on a bed frame that had gone into the unit in pristine condition.About 80% of the items we stored were permanently destroyed and had to be taken to the dump. We would have been better off saving our money and not even bothering to store the items. And the storage unit refused to compensate us for any of this, or comp any storage unit fees. Do not go here if you would actually like to keep your stuff.

April was so helpful, she was very knowledgeable about the sizes of units and what would be the best unit for my stuff. When its time for me to get a unit, I will definitely come and see April and rent from her. Super friendly and very professional.

When you walk into a business such as I did today and greeted with a very warm welcome. It assures me that I came to the right place. I was greeted by a dear lady named Babes who showed me my storage room and made sure that I knew how to lock and unlock the doors to my unit before I left. Also, that I understand the agreement I signed. I left with the confidence of a new customer should have. Thanks Babes for your professionalism.

Lori & Ryan helped me when I arrived at Public Storage. They were knowledgeable and very helpful in providing me with information regarding the rental process and how to store my belongings. They informed me of the best way to store my beds, selling me mattress covers to protect my beds from condensation and smell.Both Lori & Ryan processed my application quickly and without issues explaining the contract and payment dates. They were clear and thorough.I would highly recommend this location and company to everyone. I rated my experience and the service I received a 5 Star.

THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL FRIENDLY AND HELPED ME GET THE BEST DEAL FOR THE SIZE I WANTED. CLEAN PROPERTY AND GOOD CAMERA COVERAGE, CLEAN RESTROOM BUT IT IS IN THE OFFICE SO TINKLE BEFORE CLOSING TIME. STAFF ARE VIGILANT ABOUT LOCK CHECKS AND WALK THE PROPERTY OFTEN AND CHECK THINGS OUT BUT DONT BOTHER ME AT ALL EXCEPT FOR ONE GUY THAT THOUGHT I WAS CAMPING OUT AND WORKING ON MY VEHICLE WHICH WAS ACCURATE KIND OF BECAUSE I WATCHED A MOVIE WHILE MY MOTOR COOLED SO I DIDNT GET BURNED AND I HAD NO INTENTION OF DOING REPAIRS BUT I HAD NO CHOICE AND HE CAME ACROSS TO ME LIKE I WAS SOME DEGENERATE CAMPING OUT WHICH I DID NOT APPRECIATE THE ASSUMPTION HE HAD CONVEYED BY HIS TONE OF VOICE BUT I I BIT MY TONGUE AND DECIDED THAT IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN THEN I WILL EDUCATE THIS GENTLEMAN AND LET CORPORATE DEAL WITH HIS DEMEANOR AND ATTITUDE BUT NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN SO MAYBE HE WAS NOT VERY POPULAR AND MOVED ON. I went by here yesterday to rent out a storage space and I knew how the unit and everything worked since my parents used to regularly rent out spaces here when I was a child. I was surprised with how simple the process was of acquiring one. My mom had actually called in to reserve a space, but I had to stop by to close it out. The person who helped me was Babes who was very pleasant to work with because she was kind, concise, and overall very good at her job. I was actually with my grandmother as well and she was not feeling too well, but Babes was able to naturally converse with her to put a smile on her face. Also as I was reading, hearing, and writing my initials on everything, the many pages on the contract was well said by her in a few sentences which allowed me a short version of what I needed to understand. Lastly her ability to hold down a fort is definitely qualities that I myself value. She had to multi-task with taken care of me while answering phone calls, which she handled very well. Overall I like the spaces they provide and the security of it, but it was very reassuring to finally know that it is backed up with great service and hard working people, thank you Babes!

This property is probably the largest i have seen so far, Clean and does not have the characteristic funny smell. The staff were fast and attentive to my concerns. Lori was particularly exceptional at what she does. She followed up with me a few days later making sure my move-in was smooth. I will recommend this location to anyone who needs a serene and neat location.

I have had storage units at other Public Storage sites over the past few years. They have all just been decent, nothing really special or nice about them.But this place on 196th st in Lynnwood... I am so happy I decided to rent a unit there. The guy who helped me was Joe, and he was extremely helpful and nice. The unit is clean and there is even a light in our unit! Im very very pleased with this place!Plus, I got a great deal.... I pay $68 (plus $11 for insurance) so $79 total per month for a 8 × 12 unit! Regular its over $130!! 😁👍

Our experience with Public Storage was acceptable. We had Babes help us get set up and going with our storage space. She was very upbeat and helpful. She showed us to our unit as soon as we got there, and once we arrived to the unit, she was clear with how the unit should operate. Our unit had three doors to it, and it was slightly confusing understanding the concept that we had to acquire three separate locks for each door (they werent provided), even if we were to not access the unit by those doors. It was also kind of dark in the unit, even with the all of the hall lights and our unit lights on, but Babes told us that your next investment was upgrading all of the lights in your units, which we are looking forward to. Overall, we liked our experience with Babes at Public Storage.

It has been only 21 minutes from a time I parked at the property, walk inside, get a friendly Joe, walk to see my unit, and complete a whole paperwork! How that be more professional! Thank you, Joe, for your help!

My girlfriend and I rent a storage unit from here, and recently her wallet was stolen while traveling in Vietnam, so our bill couldnt be processed with the canceled card. I recently broke my leg and needed surgery, so getting around is not easy. I went in today to pay with a different card and spoke with Babes, the wonderful woman working the front desk. She was incredibly friendly and helpful. Taking care of the payment was no problem at all, and Babes showed a genuine interest in my well being. It truly made my already very difficult trip so much nicer. Overall I am very pleased with how safe and secure my belongings are, as well as how friendly and eager to help the staff are. A+ for this Public Storage!

The employees are friendly, the prices are good, and the units are clean.I would give a better rating, but some of my items were stolen. The internal units are not very secure. I will not go into detail on how they are not secure. But, I will say that all it took was for the person who broke into my unit to rent another unit close to mine to be able access my unit.
