The meat counter has an excellent CS and the selection is even better. Also, the lady who was working at the bakery helped me choosing a few treats and I’m glad she did because I loved everything I tried. I’ll definitely make this my grocery store.

Is you are looking for bread without preservatives Fresh Market usually has a good selection. After having my daughter and self tested for food IgA antigens (inflammatory producing reaction in the body reacting to specific foods) we found that we both were reacting to a preservative that is in almost all bread products. Fresh Market has some good options

There is something regal about wandering around this store. Whether the layout or the friendly staff, it is simply pleasant to be in the store. What is harder is the prices. Expect a mark-up on every item that is above any grocery outlet in Lynchburg. But then again that might be why people go here, to feel exclusive, be treated well, find unique products not found elsewhere in Lynchburg, and just be reminded they have money to burn 🙃 For us it was because we had a gift card 🤭 The steaks were sure good! Great quality!

Similar to Whole Foods but with a more local selection and feel. $$$. Found some Lucys high-cacao dark chocolate (no added sugar, which is rare) on sale.

Do not shop here. The store is fine, but check out is not fine. Only one lane open with eight people in it and three new cashiers pull from the back of the line, leaving everyone who’s been standing there for 10 minutes to stay in there for five more minutes. Horrible customer service.

As a chef I like going here their seafood is good and fresh And I find their baked goods are better than most grocery stores that Ive been too

The only place I will purchase meat. I love the selection and quality. Most of the meat dept. employees that you see on a regular basis are great to deal with and will help out whenever they can, with special orders.

We decided to buy steaks from Fresh Market for Christmas dinner. We were terribly disappointed. My steak was inedible. I had to spit out almost every bite because it was full of fat and gristle. It was so disgusting. I would not recommend their meat market.

I love shopping at fresh market. Its clean, the staff is friendly, and their food is fresh. There are lots of organic and diet restriction friendly foods available. I would have given a five-star review, but some of the things are a little expensive. However, the little big meal rocks!

Woderful products. I have gotten fresh fruit cups at food lion and Wal-Mart that were not freash, that is not the case here, very fresh. We were very pleased with the ready to eat food selection and the added bonus of the friendly staff. There was a bathroom issue so I told a cashier, before walking away he was making sure someone knew about our concerns, that attention to detail I will pay extra for any day. If there were tip jars I would of given one to the people in the hot food bar, better sevice than many restaurants. Thanks to these front line workers. Chicken salad was like homemade.

Everything in this store is WAY overpriced. You can go to any other store and get almost everything for what seems like half the price. The food they make it pretty good, and that’s about it.

You have to give it to them for FRESHNESS. Clean too... average workers though meaning having to find someone. Expensive but its the unusual products and brands that makes it fun to shop. Feel like its a Middle Class up type store.

I love this place and the sale on organic chicken breast on Tuesdays is the best. In addition, you can buy a variety of nuts and grind your on nut butter. How cool is this? Just go. Youll love it too. Trust me.

I love The Fresh Market it’s one of the places you walk in and are so thankful that it’s in Lynchburg! I love high end grocery stores because they carry a lot of specialty items that Kroger or food lion wouldn’t have! Yes it is so expensive here and I don’t get regular groceries here but they have so many incredible drinks, snacks, meats, cheeses, and foods that you can’t get any where else! Definitely one of my favorite places in Lynchburg!

Always neatly organized. I get meat here often. Delicious steaks and lamb chops. And they have a wider variety of fruits and veggies than other local grocery stores

Love going to Fresh Market. The atmosphere is magical when I walk through the door. Beautiful flowers and orchids light up my eyes. The fruit is so beautiful not to mention the great seafood and meat counters. I love their bakery and never know what delicious items I might find. For me, I could spend hours walking through the aisles just looking at items that I normally dont see in other grocery stores.

Fresh market is always such a great shopping experience. I love the coffee section, the sweets section and all the cool nut and cracker blends.Their fruits and veggies are always such high quality.Then we come to the wine and beer selections. They seem to have all the favourites as well as varieties Ive not seen before.We came today for the great selection of cut flowers. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect selection.

Great bakery, produce and meat department.

Produce and flowers are excellent and last a while. Some things are reasonably priced, others not so much, you have to know your prices and pay attention. The weekly meal deal for families of 4 is kind of fun and a pretty good value. They have an aisle dedicated to bulk foods, nuts and trail mix type stuff. There is a pretty large section of grind your own coffee and they also sell it by the cup and offer samples. Checkout is usually fairly quick and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Very nice, all the various foods are, well, fresh! Very clear, great variety, worker all seemed to be friendly and helpful. Its more expensive than a Food Lion type grocery but this is to be expected. Excellent coffees, baked good. At least for me it is not an every week grocery but a specialty grocery and great for an occasional visit or when I have a special and specific need that they would carry. Its also great if you are gift buying a bakery item. Hard to best in that area.

Love shopping here, especially for the meats.Love the deli also..and I also like the fact that the cashier takes the groceries out of the cart. The clerks help load my car. Employees are very pleasant..

Slow registers. Some people come in on their lunch breaks - consider an Express checkout 5 items or less NOT 10. Also every time I come in to check out the pizza and wings special, theyre out of wings or the oven isnt working right. If youre going to have these specials, make sure youre ready. Still has the best ground beef around.👍

If you like to try new foods Fresh Market is the place to shop. Expect to pay premium prices for everything, but sometimes hard to find foods can be worth the extra expense. As an example, I found Fiddle Heads, (baby fern fronds) and fennel bulbs this trip.I had never cooked fiddle heads but I had eaten some my cousin the chef prepared. They are similar to asparagus in prep and taste. Fennel is perfect sliced very thinly and added to spring greens for crunch and a mild licorice flavor. The fennel tops season fish poaching water nicely and combined with mushrooms make tasty soup.

I go there for food and ingredients I cant get elsewhere. Some of the prices are too high but some are good. Best place for baking as Kroger has stopped offering a good selection of flour and other baking ingredients.

I love going to fresh market. Every item is fresh from produce to bakery, always presented beautifully. The environment with classical music, immaculately clean, very knowledgeable staff is so relaxing. I always feel happy when I leave. Check out is swift, cheerful, they unload your basket, and always make sure you were satisfied. There is no place better.

The name says it! So fresh! The deli has the best food, whether its a quick lunch or an already mixed and laid out for you Hamburger Patty with seasoning included. Love these people. When you walk in, it is cozy and clean. Place is stocked to the roof full of fresh ingredients and stellar wine collection.

Their bottled water selection is Dr Mercola level. If you believe sea salt is more valuable by weight than gold, this is your store.

Fresh food everywhere. Cleaner than clean.Meat and seafood departments have everything you could want and at reasonable prices. The sausage and lump crab cakes are my favorites. A must place to shop with great service. When they have a sale make sure you there.I am sold on Fresh Market. By the way their baked goods are so delicious they make you exercise self control.

Great store for absolute top shelf food. Its a bit pricier than Food Lion but they run special offers frequently and the meat is amazing (best Prime/ Choice steaks around). Seafood selection is solid too- where else can you get Escargot over the counter in Lynchburg? If your unsure of the best way to prepare your meal just ask, the butchers are always happy to share their favorite recipe.Fresh Market for the win!

Everything is always wonderful here! I love the sushi, fresh sockeye salmon, and fun goodies to choose from! You pay more for better products..... worth it! I love all the specialty items. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I fell in love with this grocery store the first time I visited, and have been shopping here since then. I love the great selection of coffee, the freshly ground peanut butter, the great selection of cakes and muffins, the fresh spices and the bulk fruits and nuts. Their meat is very good quality and tastes great. I love that they have the ground chuck and boneless skinless chicken breast on sale every Tuesday for $2.99 a pound. Most of all, I love trying free samples of products throughout the store! All around, this is a wonderful grocery store!

There sushi selection was very good I enjoyed everything I got they also have a big cheese selection which is good to be able to try different things. I love the Fresh Market. workers here are very nice and care about you!

Expensive. Good fish and the fish person can tell you all about where the fish came from and how they lived and died. (I was fascinated.) Tuesdays chicken and ground beef sale is reasonable. Family meal deals can give me an easy idea for dinner. Fun to go to when you want a couple deserts to pick out from the pretty bakery display.

My first trip to Fresh Market was an eye opener. Clean, orderly and an excellent variety of quality food products. As a former chef, I love the freshness and-again-quality. I am a coffee lover, so when I saw their lineup of coffee beans (I grind my own), I was quite impressed. Little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Well worth the trip.

Great products and I absolutely love that selection of candies and trail mix options. Generally fantastic service. The only reason I dropped Fresh Market to three stars was the prices. Nothing here is cheap. Maybe do your main shopping elsewhere and pick up a few items here to boost quality of prep on other goods. That being said, affordable and tasty pound cake options! Lol
