It is well maintained, the staff were very nice and professional. Prices are good, of course.They had tons of Liberty University swag and I stocked up on some hotel snacks which I hid from my wife haha.Overall this is an excellent place to do your typical Walmart shopping for supplies, food and other things you may have forgotten to pack.

They are remolding the store adding all new cash registers and express lanes. Seems to have a lot more items. Really congested with moving everything around. Sure it will be nice when they finish. A Great improvement.

Wards Road Walmart was never my favorite. I wanted to go to Build A Bear there. Was pleasantly surprised how orderly and clean the store was.I hope they keep up the good work.

This Walmart is great! They have a nice variety of product and they even have a customized Appomattox VA Monopoly game! A great parting gift after visiting the beautifully Historic Town Appomattox!

Its Walmart. Clean area, but missing workers. Needed to look at wedding rings, but there wasnt anyone to assist. Finally got someone, and had to wait while they located the ring sizer. Then, they didnt have anything but standard size and said it could take WEEKS to get it properly sized.

I like this location. Some areas to improve in but overall, good. They try really hard to keep stocked during some tough times to keep particular items in. Also, they recently reset and reorganized the store... I like the new layout. One suggestion would be more customer service oriented and happy cashiers. They just seem most of the time as if they dont WANT TO smile, greet and positively engage. (Cashier checkout area only) Seems like employee morale is down overall in the store and a lot of employees are too often complaining about their job rather than just doing it. Overhear it most times Im in there. I guess it the thing to do. Feel sorry for the Managers trying to help the situation. Somtimes employees just like to complain like elementary school children. Our blessed entitlement culture. Overall, been a good store for a while now. 22 plus years that I can recall.

Renovations are currently making the aisles crowded and tricky to navigate, as a lot of the products are taking up aisle space and making departments seem to run together. The store is a bit of a mess at this time. However, they have plenty of stock, and I was able to get everything I needed quickly and relatively inexpensively. Store should be much better after renovations are finished, but it can be frustrating for now.

People don’t go to Walmart for the customer service. They go for the convenience and price. I am a retail manager and a customer and I have experienced all types of customer service. Let’s call it the good, the bad, and the ugly. Today, at Walmart of all places, I received the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Roland was a sales associate in the furniture department. He greeted my wife and I even though he was with another customer, and he assured us he would be right with us. Then he stopped by again to let us know he was getting a furniture dolly to help us. Then he waited with me and personally helped load the furniture into my truck. I can’t say I’m speechless, but I certainly can’t find enough good things to say about Roland. Kind, courteous, and helpful might be a good place to start. Give that man a raise!

One of the largest Walmart I have seen. Just as with many others. You get what you pay for. No frills. Its clean and easy to access.

No handicap toilet for women. The one at the front of the store was out of order and in the back ALL restrooms are closed!

This place is currently a HOT MESS as theyre rearranging things and renovating. BUT a couple young stock boys jumped at the opportunity to help quite a few of us confused and lost customers find our way and even recommended what product to use to hang a new mirror I was purchasing! And they were all smiles while assisting. Way to go, boys! I know you were helping people all day and you never got an attitude like I might have. Haha!

They was nice and clean. Everything was neat and nothing off the shelf on the floor.

Everything i mean everything is a mess. Cant find anything. Every one of the aisles are sideways instead of the usual way they were. And the placement of items dont make any sense. I hope this walmart realizes they messed up. Who ever came up with this idea is messed up.

Well this was the worse walmart I have visited I went to the bathroom and when I finished I wanted to do the normal thing we all should do before we leave wash our hands . I noticed the hand blower on the wall I tried to dry my hands there first it would not come on . I thought to myself lets look for some paper towels I looked over at two places where there should be some and said no way a employee walks in and tells me that is the best I was going to get what have we come to the health department should look into this look at the pictures and let me no what you think about this walmart

The parking lot is dirty and tricky to access because of poor visibility and misplaced signs. However, the employees are friendly and dont get in the way of shopping. The prices are a little higher here than the other Wal-Mart on Links Road, but the location is more convenient.

I came to return an item and the older, Caucasian, blonde lady with a hand brace was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. When trying to ask her questions, she one-worded me and offered no help. She then started talking to another customer and asked them to come to her register- pushing me, where? Yeah, I didn’t know either. Overall very disrespectful.

Staff is so-so; but there is one particular manager/supervisor his name is David. I’ve had multiple and multiple situations where customer service wasn’t at its best (etc., whether it be pickup, delivery, etc.) yet no matter the problem if David was on the clock it was gonna be made right. I cannot thank him enough. My wife and I have dealt with him on multiple occasions and if something wasn’t right [for example on pickup] he offered us free ice cream and cakes for our daughters. He is a true gentleman and a role model of people we need in this day in time. Thanks David. Please keep it up and keep inspiring younger folks.

I am very disified with all self service checkout and I think if I buy groceries there I should have a option for someone to check me out. Plus most of the registers had software uploading and only 1 lane to get checked out. The most of the lanes were closed because computers was not working. What happened to your customer? I dont see none being done. U need to rethink your changes. I will just go somewhere else.

Not the cleanest Walmart but not as bad as some. At least the lighting isnt dimmed as youll see in some lately.

The store had very limited stock. Super busy yet I couldnt find any help. Thankfully I found a cart with a ladder so I was able to climb up and retrieve the merchandise from the very top of shelf.Lines were so long they ran down the isles or into clothing section.. self check out was the same. I dont mind the wait especially if the store is stocked.Overall, Ill continue to shop at Walmart.. it isnt always a bad experience.. this visit just wasnt good.

Staff is friendly but the self checkout registers I get confused on because some Walmart’s all the self checkouts take card AND cash and some don’t.Sometimes there won’t be a Walmart personnel there to tell me which is what and I’ll ring up everything and only have cash then come to find out it only accepts cards. :-/ Please fix this and make them ALL available for cash AND card please to save confusion, frustration, and a waste of time.I have social anxiety really bad and the longer I’m in public the worse it is so knowing ALL self checkout is both payments would be a heck of a lot easier..

Nice, clean and organized shelves. The staff was very pleasant and had great customer service. When I see these practices it tells you a lot about Management and having the passion for serving people.

Prices were better than my Charlottesville walmart so I bought more than on my list but the parking lot was dirty. Needed a trash pickup.

The location of the store on Wards Rd has closed the doors to the clothes/pharmacy side. I guess its because of covid-19. I found everything on my list, even though I lost my list.😏 The checkout lines moved quickly. The store wasnt crowed, but they counted as you entered the store. All products were clear from the floor except around the fitting rooms. That is important for me as I use a mobile cart. Which Walmart always had one available.🌹

Had what I needed and the shelves were stocked and neat.

I was able to find all of the items listed as in stock on the internet in the store.

Walmart is my go-to for both groceries and household items on a weekly basis. This particular store is most convenient because it is also close to Sams Club (and the Sams gas pumps) - easily accessed via conjoining parking lots.

This is the Wal-mart I usually go to. I recently started using their pick-up service after only using a competitor since the pandemic began. However, the competition began making so many mistakes and the products were sometimes used and resold, so I tried Wal-mart and I was impressed. I told them I was there and in less than 4 minutes they arrived with all of my things. My order was correct, my items werent damaged or used, and the employee was super nice. I will definitely shop online and pick-up again.

Not organized, heard one employee complain about customers asking him too many questions, well when you cant find what your looking for because the store is a new what do you expect, also all an employee where do was and she had no clue smh this is why I quit going in Lynchburg Walmart and will not be back

I went to buy a Christmas tree.

Worst customer service ever. I went to return item with receipt and due to incompetence it was not handled correctly via their policy. Meanwhile they did everything they could to provocate conflict. I chose to exercise my first amendment right by expressing with my voice and let the customers know by a rather loud voice. They put their hands on me and charged me with disordely conduct. Not allowed back. But the manager that barred me is no longer there, so I should be allowed back. Shoplifters are banned for a year, yet Im still barred 15 months later. Its bullcrap.

Very little American products. Even tgere fruits and veggies are all from foreign countries. I think Sam would be ashamed of what Wal-Mart has become

Good Walmart, good service, good workers and good management. A few times I got a partially raw rotisserie chicken but its been getting better.

We used the pick up and they told us some items were unavailable, but when you go into store there is a pileof it!? Or tried to substitute it with the cheaper brand but the one I ordered is there. Usually I dont have a problem, not this time

The wait in line is terrible, self check out doesnt take cash just card. So it negated the thing that saves you time.

2nd time in as many days, different (am vs pm) times of day that all self checkouts are card only ... and there three or less CASH registers, each one with lines....

Forget the amount of traffic you have to navigate just to shop, but the pickup is a joke. I waited over 60 minutes for two items!! I had to leave because the rest of my life needed my attention. Not to mention the phone number you are supposed to call to check in went straight to voice-mail so the employees had to go car to car to find your order. So much for convenience. Never again.

I love Walmart. This one is a super center and has just about anything you could want. They have a lot of self check out but they have other registers also.

My to go to store for groceries and other items.My only real complaints are the fabric area needs a larger selection and needs to have a associate there to cut fabrics.

The bathrooms smelled like essence of hobo and steamed broccoli.

Im not complaining about this store specifically, Im complaining about customer service over the phone. I received an item recently as a Christmas gift, well one of the items that was supposed to come with it did not come with it, when I called about it, they wanted something that was unnecessary and wouldnt send the item that was missing without sending the whole package. Theres no reason to send the whole package when there was only one item missing out of the whole package. They got pretty rude about it. Ill just continue on using the item without the piece it didnt come with. I dont deal with rude people. And they really need to get employees that speak English, and who knows how to do their job right

My supermarket of choice is Walmart. Everything I need under one roof. Affordable and local.

Dirty store and all you could hear were male employees fussing about doing their job.
