This is the best organized dealership I have ever seen. They gave me an appointment and kept it right on the dot. Then they found two safety recalls on my car and went ahead and fixed them. Fast and efficient. I’ll use them for all my car’s service needs. Thanks guys.
I understand that supply of cars is in short supply, however selling a car with an issues when stating that it went through a checkup with fine-tooth comb, and then not even 72 hrs., less then 50 miles, check engine light going on should not be a good practice. Dealership is a sham, gave them an opportunity to make it right, but typical answer was received. Out of the lot, not our problem. Warranty issue or you are on your won.I personally cannot recommend this dealership in a good conscious recommend this place to anyone. Sales person was very friendly and attentive, however management has questionable practices.I wish I could say better things but unfortunately I cannot. Be careful when dealing with leadership.
G was an awesome salesman had me sold a the Santa Fe before the test drive was done absolutely helpfull and friendly. Only down side was it took us 4 + hours to get our new vehicle and this is not on G, just dont know why it took so long to get in and out of there.

Excellent experience! We found a vehicle and flew across state lines to pick it up. We were nervous about the risk of buying from another state from photos and conversations sight unseen. Our worries fell away by the kindness of our salesman Ayo! He went above and beyond to make our purchase easy and convenient, even picking us up from the airport. I hit something in the road that ripped off my transmission pan and caused my steering wheel airbag to deploy. I called my insurance company and had the car towed to the Hyundia dealership in Lubbock, TX. I had the pleasure of working with Mike in the service department. I was on my way to Colorado for a week when this happened. I rented a car for a week and continued my trip. Mike told me the car would be ready on Monday and it was; just 7 days after I hit something. Very reasonable and easy to work with. Integrity and very responsive.

Took my car in for sqeeky brakes said could find anything. As soon as I left they started seeking. Didnt bother to air up tires during oil change
Bought my vehicle at a different dealership and there were things needing fixed. Took to Gene Messer and everything was fixed and they even checked for recalls and found and fixed one. They now have a customer for life
I was told my first three years of maintenance would be complimentary. This was not the case. I took my car in for its first oil change at 3,500 miles because it was already a year old and the oil had probably been sitting in it since they got the car in late 2019 early 2020. They told me because I am not at 7,500 miles the complimentary services aren’t valid yet... so I went ahead did it anyways out of my own pocket. I arrived at 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment and 1 1/2 hours later I’m still waiting for a simple oil change.
I’ve been going to Gene Messer Hyundai for about 3 years now, and I love the service they provide and always a good price! They go out their way to make sure you are comfortable while waiting as well as providing shuttles home! Kevin Pailey, is who recently handled the maintenance on my car and he was very respectful, a very kind and knowledgeable worker! I will always take my car here for as long as I live in Lubbock!

Slow, it takes way too long for services here even with an appointment. Need better management to ensure they don’t overbook so people aren’t forced to waste gas bringing a second car up to drop off or waste hours sitting in a waiting room for an oil change
I took my vehicle for the 5,000 mile maintenance as you requested. I dropped my vehicle off at 8am. I finally received a call after 2pm that my vehicle was ready. When I got there the clerk informed me my car needed two new filters. Instead of calling me and asking if it was okay to replace them they waited, 6 hours later after I got there to inform me, now I have to go back. The WORST part was when I got in my NEW car it was absolutely filthy, my seat, the door, and steering wheel had finger prints in black oil, EVERY setting had been modified, the AC was the highest it would go and set to 50 freaking degrees, my monitors were covered in dest. I was in absolutely shock. If my warranty did not require me to take my vehicle to you, I would NEVER go back.
Well first of all I was lied to, I was told that a simple oil change would be about an hour, turns out the simple oil change took 3 hours, I showed up at 8:15 am the service guy lost my keys blamed me, then made me wait, I dont understand how yall got them awards on your wall, worst service ever, would have been better off paying out of pocket, and not being LIED to, thank you Lubbock tx.

Took my car in for oil change and tire rotation and state inspection. Waited over an hour and the bill was ridiculous even though I provided my own oil and air filters. What I was charged would have been the same at a drive thru lube shop. Definitely not satisfied and will not return

We took our Hyundai in for the first time to get some recall work done. They got us in right away and we were treated with the utmost respect by everyone in the service department. The service manager was particularly helpful. They also did a complimentary inspection and gave us suggestions on work that needs to be done in the future. There was zero pressure to get the work done there or even to get it done right away, which we appreciated. We can change our own windshield wipers, ya know? But we really appreciated their kindness and their low pressure atmosphere, and well be going back at some point to get some of those bigger jobs done.

Im giving them 5 stars for sales and 1 for the service department. If leaving customers who are calling about their vehicle being serviced on hold for over 10 minutes is customary, then I would give less than 1 star if I could. This isnt the first time the girl in that department has done that. Thats just unacceptable. This manager needs to address this. Theyve had my car 2 full days and no one wants to answer the phone so I can pick it up. I say if you can go get service elsewhere you should. I have 0 good experiences with this department.

Hyundai had my car in service for 95 days and they only reached out to me ONCE to communicate with me about progress. I called them multiple times to ask for updates and they never seemed to know what was going on nor when the work would be complete. I had to pay out of my own pocket for a portion of rental car expenses until I fought hard enough for them to provide one (after 30 days of me having to pay a portion). When I finally got my car back, it was disgustingly filthy on the inside (boot prints and stains all over the seats) and the gas tank was completely empty. Never again will I buy a Hyundai. Do not do business here.

Took car in to have heater fixed and recall work done. They had the car for 3 and half days. Didnt fix the heat, just wanted to work on a bunch of other things wrong with it. Called to check if it was ready to get picked up and they said yes, good to go. Get here, have papers given to us, didnt explain anything on them, just told to sign. Then come to find out that the car isnt ready, the glove box needs to be put back together. Still sitting here, waiting for about an hour to get the car back. Not sure how long it should take to put a glove box back together, but definitely not this long.

My experience with the service dept at Gene Messer Hyundai on 10/03/20 was a good one. Jasmine, my service advisor, took care to make sure I had the best experience. I dropped off my Hyundai Tucson on Friday after work for an 8am Saturday apt. I received a call at approx 1:30pm on Saturday stating my vehicle was done (oil change, tire rotation, & rear wiper blade) & they recommended air filter replacement. I did go ahead with the air filter replacement because they had recommended that in Nov 2019 as well. It was time. Thank you!

These folks bent over backwards to make sure I was getting into a new car I was happy with. In the end, I left with a 2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL, and I am still loving it. Just driving through...I was on my way to San Antonio, TX driving from my home in Santa Fe, NM. It was 7:30 am and I had my cruise control set to about 75 MPH and making good time. I was about an hour outside of Roswell, NM and my 2013 Sonata Limited shuttered, cruise control shut off, check engine light started blinking and my speed started dropping. I tried to continue my drive but could not accelerate above 60 MPH. I had no idea what was going on so I searched for the closes Hyundai dealership and it was either turn around and drive an hour back to Roswell or continue in the general direction of my destination and get to Lubbock, TX to Gene Messer Hyundai. I called the Gene Messer dealership and explained my cars condition and the fact that I was traveling through. The service agent told me to go ahead and make it in if I could and they would fit my car in even though they had a FULL day on their schedule. When I arrived, they took my car and were able to diagnose the issue. Turns out I needed to have my engine replaced... WHAT!!! How am I supposed to get to San Antonio? More importantly how am I (and my car) going to get back to Santa Fe (5 hours away). The team did great. Set me up with a rental car to get me on my way. Had my engine replaced in about two weeks (All under warranty, thank goodness) and had a driver bring my car back to me and picked up the rental. The team at Gene Messer went out of their way to help me to continue my trip and to get my car back on the road and to me in another state. If I am ever driving through again I would definitely stop just for an oil change. Thank you Gene Messer Service Team!!

I wasn’t buying a really pricey car— but for me it was a huge deal—I think there should have been a little more appreciation, respect and attention. If this wasn’t THE car I wanted might have tried somewhere else. The car saved the deal.
