This is hands down the best garage in our area, the 3 generations family and team of extremely talented individuals will go the extra mile every time. They take tremendous pride in the work they do and are more than thorough. Extremely satisfied with all the work and pricing for all the work they have done for me. No job too big or small, they can do basic oil changes and tire installation to complex wiring or full engine rebuilds on all makes and models. Love these guys. Cant say enough good things.

I have been going to L&M for many years and have always been treated well. All work they have done on my cars was done well. Their prices are reasonable. I would strongly recommend them. They are straight shooters.

I had brought my car not once, but twice only to have my tires balanced. First time was off, second time seemed better but driving home the vibrating came back. I get home I realize some weights fell off while I was driving. Very dissatisfied. Not to mention they torqued my lug nuts to the wrong ft lb both times.

I have had two dealings with this auto repair shop in the last two years, and have had disappointing out comes on both occasions.Shoody brake job on a Friday night, get the car outta here so we can close type of work.P0700 code that I spent over $500.00 on and car still does same thing.Took it back and they will not stand behind there work.If someone says this is whats wrong with your car and this is what it costs to get it fixed . Then wont stand behind there work?AVOID AVOID AVOID.

DO NOT take you car here! Actively reporting to Better Business Bureau! Car was taken in for power steering pump and line to be done. Shortly after receiving the car back, the ABS light magically turned on. Took back and paid for the sensor to be replaced and the Mechanic couldnt even find the short in the ABS sensor wire to show me. About 3 weeks later, the ABS sensor light came back on and has continued to be lit while driving.Today (3 months later) the power steering pump & line failed and dropped all of its fluid on the ground. They refuse to fix the problem. My boyfriend and I have both been yelled at by the manager and other employees when we ask for them to fix the original problem we brought in for and PAID to have fixed. We are now taking the car somewhere else and paying to have it done again.While talking to the manager Steve, my boyfriend was hung up on after they told him he was yelling (which he was not). These guys told me and I quote, You should just drive this truck off the boat rampI was dropped off to get the car today after they refused to fix our issue and he proceeded to tell me that my boyfriends car is ugly while shivering in disgust.This is NOT the type of business you should be taking your car too! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. They have no problems calling you names over the phone and hanging up on you. BEWARE.

Steve is the most knowledgable mechanic in the Rockford/Loves Park region. Hes helped me with brake/rotor replacements and always has the best pricing.When I thought my car needed a timing belt replacement, he had me text him a picture of the engine to confirm if it actually had a timing belt or chain. Not many mechanics would do that. It didnt have a timing belt, so this saved me a lot of money.If you want work done right, call Steve.

Over the winter my front bumper was removed in a parking lot. L&M was prompt, courteous, explained and discussed options. They did a great job. I would definitely recommend this establishment for any repair work.

Very honest place to take your car. Has been around for a long time.

They fixed my a/c so it worked but my compressor was shot, the bearing in it was bad. They just fixed the minor problem got my a/c to work but they put an o ring on my compressor and didnt tell me my bearing was going bad the car sounded horrible. Now have to get it fixed again.Not a good place, it cost me 192 to fix a few things and charge the system.
