Added a sunroom to our existing patio. Mark was great to work with and answered all of our questions. We are a repeat customer and knew Champion would provide a good quality product.
We were adding a large covered patio. Champion Windows was not even on our radar because we dont want windows. We somehow accidentally connected with them and am happy we did. Mark is very friendly, knowledgeable and we did not feel pressured at any point. The fact that they produce their own materials (not dependent on outside suppliers), use their own installers, and have a multi-year guarantee was a big plus for us. We ended up changing the design from our first vision after seeing the variety of designs they can do. With all this said, what sold us was Mark himself .... professional, knowledgeable, responsive and very personable.
Nothing Leaks Like a Champion Window!Update on 7/8 - Champion filed a General Liability Claim with their insurance company at the beginning of May 2021. The Insurance Company is still waiting on information from Champion 2 months later. Champion still has not fulfilled their warranty terms of any necessary repairs. They need to fix the issue - whether or not their insurance company reimburses them is not my problem.Update on 5/17/21 to posted response from Champion:Ive been dealing with a customer care specialist since 4/14/21. We talk nearly every day. She does what she can - makes phone calls to the manager in Louisville and elevates the issue to her management. But still, over a month later with your customer care office engaged and I cant even get an answer for when the repair is scheduled! The manager in Louisville wont even return my calls! Your warranty is worthless as you dont stand behind your work!Original Post **************************************Thinking of going with Champion to replace your windows because they are a nationwide company who would certainly stand by the warranty? - GOOD LUCK getting them to return your call. Sure they will eventually set up a repair appointment - IF you hound them enough - but then they just won’t show up for the appointment (twice now). But not to worry, they will try again in 3 weeks! In the meantime, the situation will get progressively worse with mold, structural damage and flooring issues. What’s the limits of your patience with them? A month, two? Try 7 months and over 50 phone calls.
I requested a quote for the replacement of several windows. Nate Burrow came to the house and explained the quality of Champion windows and their insulation properties. He then measured my windows and gave me a price. It was good, but then he found me a better price. Nate was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable of the products. I chose Champion windows because of the quality of the product and the expertise of Nate. He deserves 5 stars.!
We are getting a patio enclosure and Mark did an exceptional job in guiding us through the process. He answered every question and thoroughly explained what to expect from start to finish. We are repeat customers and would not hesitate to recommend Mark to all of our family and friends. He made us feel valued!
Mark was very professional and knowledgeable about their products. We chose Champion because of their history with sunrooms and their employees like Mark.
Champion has been attentive during the buying process. Their representatives have shown up at the scheduled time and have been very informative and prepared for all questions we had during the buying process. We are awaiting installation, so I will update the the review once that actual installation has occurred.
We just purchased 5 windows this week, and we’re very impressed with Mac’s knowledge and professionalism. Looking forward to our new windows! We’ll let you know in a few weeks how it goes.I would like to mention that I wasn’t entirely pleased with the process to set up an appointment for the exact measurements after the purchase. I only received text messages, but I would have preferred to speak to someone rather than to text back and forth about the available appointment times. It just didn’t seem personal enough considering the amount of money that we’d just spent.
Mark WatkinsHe was great! Explained things well. Vey patient. We had Good conversation .Robin and Tom
Mark Watkins was very professional in offering options for my patio room. I had issues on my credit report and he walked me through the process and patiently waited until I understood what was going on with my report. In the end, a sale was made. Thanks, Mark for your technology expertise, your honesty, and your awesome professionalism.
Mark is a super person and a super sales rep.He took care of everything we wanted for our house. Dont ever get rid of him or I will never buy anything else from Champion.
Very professional and Mark was a GREAT salesman. Treated us with great respect like we were part of his own family. I would definitely recommend Champion and Mark.
VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH GOOD DETAILS.. OVERALL, HAPPY CUSTOMER
Had a consultation with Mark for multiple projects around the home. He took the time to listen to our needs, what we were looking for, our budget, and helped find the best options available. He took the time to show us multiple options and pricing packages, gave suggestions that fit our needs/wants, and offered feedback without the typical sales pressure or demeanor. He had a down to earth and just here to help presence that made the whole process a lot easier. We got a quote for windows, doors, and sunroom, I went in absolutely not wanting windows, and now windows have become my priority item. If you’re looking to schedule a consult, I highly recommend Mark. I’m asking specifically for him for a home update in texas.
Met with Mark Watkins who represented the company very professionally. Explained process clearly and in detail. Pricing very reasonable for services. Hopefully the build process goes as well as this initial phase. Shall update review at job’s completion.
Had a great experience with Mark. I have a previous Champion door and so I had them come out when it was time to replace the windows. Mark was patient and answered all questions I had. He even accommodated my Dad FaceTiming in for the window demo part.
Several new windows were installed in our home multiple months ago but without the cranks and we were told they were on order. This is unacceptable in the first place to install windows without cranks, making them inoperable, but to also wait MONTHS with no solution is insane. We have tried every outlet to reach a human being and have had no response. I am pregnant and need to be airing out our home daily because of a major renovation and cannot do so because we have no cranks. Would Champion like a lawsuit?
Wonderful company to do business with. Mark was great to talk to, and very knowledgable on the sunroom products, we were purchasing. Would highly recommend.
Excellent representative, Eric McCoy. Patient and accommodating to our exacting specifications and needs. Took the time to address our concerns. Fantastic product and warranty. Will recommend.
We are very pleased with every aspect of the process up to this point. We are currently awaiting the installation and cant wait to tell our friends and family
Mark was very thorough and knowledgeable. Took the time to make sure everything was clear . Would recommend him and Champion
Both Eric and Mac were exceptional at walking us thru all the details of both new doors and windows. They were very patient in answering all of our questions and helped us make the best decision on our home. Highly recommend!
Mark was wonderful. He was very thorough and very knowledgable. We are very excited to get our sunroom built by this company.
We are adding a screened in porch, we are still waiting on installation, because everything is behind right now, but the initial meeting and interactions have been really nice.
It went so well from beginning to end! I can now use my upstairs front porch year round! Easy to clean, the screens self-heal (an advantage to cat lovers!). These windows have helped my grand old lady of a home shine! The price was also good and our sales rep has stayed with us even after the windows were sold, contacting me to make sure all was well 4 times during the post=sale/installation period. Mark has been so helpful and professional.I am coming back for more!
We are updating an existing sunporch on our home to a year-round accessible space. Mark came out to give us an estimate and was very helpful and friendly. He was able to walk us through the whole process and we ended up selecting all the options and moving forward with the purchase for the space. We are very happy with the experience with this company and the salesman, will update upon completion of the project. :-)
Mark was very thorough and thoughtful in his presentation and consultation.
Mark came to our home this afternoon and explained all options in all products available to us along with pricing. His professionalism was top notch. We found everything we needed for our home renovation and at a reasonable cost for our budget. We felt very informed and educated on our options and are excited to get our home improvements started!
I just ordered the windows. Mark was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was no high pressure sales used for me to order the windows. Im excited for them to be installed so I can see the finished product.
Eric was very professional. He was very knowledgeable answered all my questions. Explained everything I needed to know. Thank you Eric.
MarK Watkins was prompt, professional and personable. Knowledgeable of product line and helpful w otherwise unthought of options that best suited our needs. Would highly recommend him and his company champion Windows! A pleasure to do business with!
Am in the market for windows and doors and called Champion based on reviews. Mark came and measured everything then walked me through exactly what makes their windows unique and energy efficient. Prices seem reasonable especially after the discounts applied. Warranties also show that Champion stands behind its products and service.
Edit 2: Got in touch with someone on their national customer service line. I was told she’d look into our issues and contact us ASAP with a resolution. That’s been several weeks and not a peep. Company continues to dissapoint.Edit 1: no one answers when calling their national customer service line, of course. Absolutely horrific company. Do not use. Louisville Window has been great to deal with!We had quite a few windows installed several months ago. Fortunately we have not had any issues with the windows, but the screens and cranks were not installed with the windows for some reason. Im now trying to reach customer service to get an update and I cant ever reach a person. Im put on hold until Im disconnected. Not surprising, when I call the new customer line, someone answers immediately. This was phase 1 of a multi phase project, and weve decided to seek a company with much better customer service. This company cares very much about attracting new customers, but not at all about existing customers.Maybe one day well be able to open our new windows.
Champion started my siding in April of 2021 as of 8/4 its still not completed.i have left messages had salesmans come to my home and say we will get it fix but nothing.to them its no big deal. My shingles are tore from where they tried to put up gutters and gutter guards. I wouldnt recommend Champion to do anything..
Mark was very helpful and professional. Always good representatives and service from Champion.
Bought this house a few years ago, I didnt go with this window place but the windows show many problems and warranty doesnt extend to new owners. Many of the windows barely close at this point.
We had a great experience starting with our sales rep, Eric, and ending with our installer, James! They were all professional, courteous, very clean and efficient! We highly recommend Champion!
Mark came to provide me with an estimate for replacing all of my windows as well as my front door. He was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to show me the difference in Champions windows in regards to insulation and installation as well as their awesome lifetime warranty.
They maintain their professional approach over time. We have used them at two houses for many jobs. They do a great job and the staff is easy to work with and follows through.
Eric McCoy was the rep who came out to our. He was very professional and explained everything to us in a knowledgeable way. This is our second time using Champion.
We purchased a Sunroom form Champion and it was a horrible experience. The salesman was very high pressure. We wanted a few days to think it over but we’re told by him and the women he called on the phone when we said we needed time that it was ONLY good while he was here. Despite our better judgment we signed up. Over a month went by and then we were told they needed more money to do the project that we already agreed and signed a contract. We were also already making payments on work that hasn’t been done. We called them 6 times to get an explanation we received no call back. We finally left a message saying we were canceling then they finally called back. HORRIBLE company stay away!!! We were able to cancel but it was a major headache.
Stay Away! The company will sell you on the warranty for glass and screens, but try, just try to get anything fixed under warranty. My mother has been trying to to get replacement glass and screens for over a year! This is beyond Covid related impact. They have wasted time and money with multiple trips to her house, never with anything correct or complete. Unorganized and a complete failure. The only good thing is that could be said is that she has only paid the one service fee, but job is still not complete a year on.
Changing my review from a 5 star to 1 star.I had posted the 5 star review when we ordered our Champion products. Mark was wonderful to work with but after we signed with him it has been awful since. The entire install process has been TERRIBLE!!!!! Wrong window measurements were done and FIVE months later we are still waiting for the new windows for our basement. FIVE months later and we are still waiting for the back entry door. Front entry door glass grids were ALL WRONG - still waiting for them to replace the glass in our door. Family room windows were not installed correctly and were told they would be out to add insulation as we had felt drafts - nothing done to fix this. Windows in our bathroom were installed with clear glass and not the obscure glass that we paid for - told them we are good with clear - but would like the difference refunded to us - no refund received yet. Then, months after we had signed and had our first set of windows installed they called us to tell us they made a mistake in the previous pricing and we owed them an additional $100!!!! WE HAVE HAD ZERO FOLLOW UP WITH GETTING OUR PROBLEMS FIXED. Our experience with Champion here in Louisville is NOTHING like our experience in the Chicago suburbs where the entire process was flawless in IL. Extremely disappointed. Buyer Beware. Our last home in IL had all Champion Windows. We saw huge improvements in our bills and our home was toasty warm during winter. We are getting new windows and a front door on our home here in KY. Mark W was thorough, professional, friendly and guided us in our choices. When we wanted something done a little custom they were able to do the work.
I called Champion to have some more windows installed. My normal Guy had left the company, so they sent Robert as my new Sales Rep. He did a great job, took the measurements, priced all my windows individually, and did not pressure sell me. I selected what I wanted on this job, he wrote it up and said that theTech would be out soon to get the exact measurements. All went as promised in a timely fashion. The Tech that took the measurements was awesome. Now I’m waiting for the windows to be built. I expect that to go as promised.I love my Champion windows and will be continuing to replace all my windows with them. I have already had 7 done, am doing 6 more this time.
Eric McCoy was great very good salesman
Mark was very helpful in describing and showing examples of windows and walking us through the process. Very easy process I would recommend mark to anyone looking for new windows !
Excellent presentation and good deal.
Had an estimate with Mark today for front door and storm doors for front and back doors he worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted and didn’t pressure me into options I didn’t need or want and worked with me on pricing. Looking forward to getting new doors.
Amanda did a fabulous job. Thorough and professional!
Great service! Very knowledgeable.
The windows are not here yet. But both gentlemen were professional when they got here. I was sold on the windows you all produce. I cannot wait till the actual windows get here, to take away the old 1970s windows and give this house an updated look.
Very informative, very thorough
Met with Mark, went through the sunroom presentation and he was very professional, knowledgable, and detailed. We were very impressed and looking forward to building our sunroom with Champion. I would highly recommend Champion to friends and family
Great experience great price .looking forward to completion!
Mark came in and was on time and very nice . He knew what we was taking about cared about our input . We will differently be coming with champion for our windows.
Mark was awesome, we are looking forward to working with Champion again.
I am greatly enjoying my new champion windows. They have helped with keeping a consistent temperature in my house. My house is much quieter. I also am enjoying being able to easily slide my windows up the enjoy the spring breeze. Thank you champion Windows!
Good luck getting them to return your call when your “lifetime” windows fog up. Windows are sub-par and if you can get someone on the phone, they charge you to replace their failing windows. Stay away.
Mark was professional, Knowledgeable, about his product and got me the best deal possible !
Champions where professional and knowledgeable. We where well pleased with how much information the salesman had. He was on time went through all the details took all the measurements and we where very pleased with our treatment. I highly recommend them
Mark was very helpful and professional. Thank you!
If you’re looking for replacement windows, DO NOT CALL CHAMPION. HUGE WASTE OF TIME. We ultimately did not buy from Champion Windows and Doors, for a multitude of reasons. We got quotes from a wide range of contractors and window manufacturers — from Lowe’s to local businesses. Here’s why I am taking the time to write this: they have awful, high pressure old school sales tactics. The sales person was 45 minutes late. He then proceeded to take 2+ hours to give us his sales pitch — at 8pm, while I’m holding a fussy baby. Their sales presentation largely consisted of bashing other companies’ windows and having other quotes from other companies to show how much better they were. He wasn’t very professional with his sales materials and writing down prices on a notepad then crossing them out trying to “make a deal” — very stereotypical used car sales type of thing, even down to having to “call his manager” for us to tell him no. On top of all of this, they weren’t even the highest quality (based on quality of frame materials and insulation, UV rating, panes, R-value) or least expensive option. And their warranty was the worst of all that were presented to us.We are still angry (days later) that neither one of us just stood up and asked them to leave. It was ridiculous. Again, they don’t even have the best quality or best price. DON’T EVEN GET A QUOTE. HUGE WASTE OF TIME.
Great price for my budget and never once felt pressured.
15 years ago we added a 3-season patio room from Champion. Last year we took the screens in for repair and there was no charge and no hassle. Because of Champion’s excellent commitment to their products and warranty we are adding a Champion garden window to our kitchen this year. I would definitely recommend Champion.
This has to be the worse window and glass company to date. My husband called in April 2019 to replace our picture window per our warranty. I spoke a CSR who was delightful, but totally unaware of the local office shortfalls. After receiving absolutely no update on my request, I called again in May 2019 only to be referred to the local office who was sending out a rep that never showed nor called, and when I finally reached him his response was “Sorry ‘bout that. We’ve been swamped”. I rescheduled with him only for him to not show again. I called again in June 2019 and two gentlemen showed up to my house on the day of my daughters HS graduation only to make promises they would break. I was told it would take 4 - 6 weeks for the windows to come in. Of course, no one followed up with me, so in July 2019, I called again only to be told by the store manager that my windows “may or may not” be on the truck coming from Cincinnati. Needless to say, I haven’t heard a word from Todd Dixon nor his store manager Sally about the replacement of my windows. I generally do not write these, but I feel it is a moral imperative to protect hard-working taxpayers from businesses that cannot honor their own warranties. If i could give lower than 1 star, I certainly would.
Champion installed a pet door for my dog, Missy, and cat, Chino. They LOVE it and so do we. They can come and go as often as they like which can be every 5 minutes :). The door is attractive and easy to use. The installation team was courteous and professional. Thanks!
WOW - Customer service still does exist. From the initial salesman contact to the final clean-up of the yard, everything was Top Shelf. You could not ask for a more friendly or knowledgeable crew of people that are concentrated on one goal -- THE CUSTOMER. Excellent Job.
Our experience was nothing but professional from quote, installation, to the bump with our half round sunburst (custom dining room window). Champion Windows was a pleasant experience from the first contact. Really good choice for us and our home needs. Todd Hammonds even returned for a follow up almost 9 months after quote. We can not say enough about the installers and service personnel thanks Roger, Dustin and crew! We will be giving them a call back for future projects definitely!
Todd Hammonds was our Sales Representative. He came into our home and helped us in every way possible. If we had any questions or problems, all we had to do was call him and he would take care of everything. When the time came for our windows to be installed. These guys were awesome !! Very professional, courteous and neat. We love how our windows look inside and out. We will use Champion for future projects and refer others to them. Thank you Champion !!
Cant really speak for the quality of the product as the people never even showed up to my initial appointment. No call. No e-mail. No text. No voice mail, NOTHING. So that right there told me all I needed to know about the companies RELIABILITY. Just wasted my time more than anything.
We have made several purchases from Champion Window over the years and would not consider any other source for our window and door needs. Their sales people are knowledgeable, efficient and help us make the best decisions. The installation crews come to work, complete the job and clean up after themselves. Everyone is on time, the products are properly made and they back their work with an awesome lifetime warranty. The prices are competitive and you more than get your moneys worth. We could not be happier! Champion is the only way to go.
Champion far exceeded my expectations. For starters I scheduled an appointment online and they showed up to the house in the same week, they had a measurer out the following monday. The 4 large custom windows I ordered were ready 2.5 weeks later, much shorter than the 4-6 weeks mentioned by the salesmen, and the installation took place the very next day. These guys are amazing!
We bought an older home and had to replace all the windows. Im a little OCD when it comes to finding the right company for whatever job we have to do. After much research I called Champion Windows and talked to Todd Hammond. I am very glad I did! Todd was so helpful, and his pleasant, non-pushy personality made him a joy to work with. Our windows are beautiful and very reasonably priced. And they have a lifetime guarantee - you cant beat that! We like the company so much we have called them to talk about adding a sunroom.
I have to agree with another reviewer that Customer Service is very poor.I had sliding glass doors installed and the installer did not leave the keys. After 3 phone calls someone dropped off the wrong keys.I have given up trying to get the right keys. Love the doors but would not use Champion again.
I had a new roof installed and now it leaks and I can’t get them to come out and fix it. Poor quality in customer service. I give them an FI had to get another roofing company to fix the issue with the flashing which was the issue but Champion Windows refused to honor their guarantee. Never again will I recommend this company. They had to have removed the siding to put in the flashing but they won’t fix the siding. I had also bought windows from this company. You would think they would have offered to fix the siding around the chimney and the flashing but they never offered it to me.
We had champion windows come out for an estimate and it was the worst experience we have ever had in sales. The salesman started off by trying to push us to replace all the windows, without even looking at the ones we didnt want replaced (they had been recently replaced and are high quality windows). Once we sat down to start the sales pitch, I told him the 4 things I was interested in hearing about. He blew that off and started into the entire sales pitch complete with heat lamp, and demo window cut outs that were supposedly champions and the competition. We patiently listened to his sales pitch, which was him mainly trying to bash the competition. Some of what he was saying I know to be false. The salesman, who claimed he had been in the business for 20+ years, didnt even know what the U-factor, air infiltration or solar heat gain ratings of his product were and acted as though I was odd for asking. Then we finally got to the estimate and he gave us a number, which he slowly reduced with various discounts. He then offered an additional 10% off if we signed now. We stated AGAIN that we werent making a decision today and have other estimates coming out. He pressured us several more times and we kindly declined. Now at 2 hours into the visit he then asked us to answer a phone survey. This was a complete farse and was simply him calling his manager who then also started pressuring us to buy windows today. I finally had to tell them both that I was upset and they had to leave in order for him to get up from the table and leave. I strongly recommend not even having them give you an estimate unless you enjoy high pressure sales tactics and wasting a bunch of time.
It really pains me to write this. I used to really brag to everyone about their wonderful customer service. That certainly is no longer the case. I paid my $99.00 service fee to have someone come out and check my window because it wouldnt stay open. This all started May 8th. The gentleman that came out messed with it said it was fixed and left. A couple of days later I tried to open my window and it wouldnt open at all. Called them back said someone would come out. Someone came out and got the window open then completely broke the spring thing in the window. Said he didnt know how to fix it so would send it back to the ofc. The ofc. made me another appt for the am the following week. No one ever showed up or even called. I called customer service they said they were so sorry would set up another appt. Last week someone else came out said they had no records on the job so all he could do was measure the window and someone else would come back. I have called the ofc. every day trying to get answers and all my calls go to voice mail. Not sure what to do now.
Very knowledgeable and understanding of what we wanted and made wonderful suggestions
Great service - we bought two exterior doors- look awesome and my wife is very happy.
I hate that I even have to allow one star to be shown!!! My wife and I bought $23,000.00 worth of windows and doors for our home back in March 2018 and the job still isnt finished, ITS JANUARY 2019. There was a problem found with every part of the job that they performed here at my house and there are more issues being found as my remodel contractor uncovers their disaster. Doors were installed backwards, my front and back door wouldnt even lock and my home was left months without the ability to be secured, my front door is installed on top of pergo flooring that can and will rot eventually and should have been cut out properly then the door placed on top. I had a 5 foot picture window cut out in my living room with prairie grid pattern and only three sides had grid lines in them missing line on the bottom and the wall was drywalled with a half inch difference between my old and new section of wall. My contractor had to fix their problem and he knew I was tired of looking at the mess waiting almost a year for champion to come and fix their problem. The molding that was installed around the windows and the bottom of doors was shot with a nail gun and they missed ever single nail, all of the trim came out within two days. I had to pull the trim off myself to keep my children from possibly stepping on a nail that became exposed. They removed a door bell next to my garage door that they replaced because of the flashing for the door was wider than the old door. They did not replace the door bell like they found it and left hot wires exposed and it electrocuted my son as he walked into our home!!!! I plan to continue writing reviews on this company until everyone knows to stay away from them. I will not stop. I will post more photos in the next few days.Update 01/14/2019: I called like the response to my complaint post asked. Was told over the phone that they would investigate my complaint and call me back Monday with more information. It’s monday and I was, again, forced to call them (it was almost the end of business day) only to find out that they would need to get back with me tomorrow. That’s would be Tuesday. I suppose talking to people face to face (call taker to boss) no longer exists. Well... it did when they came to my house and I offered them something to drink as they talked me into buying allot of money worth of windows and doors. It just doesnt when Theres a problem and you need their help. I only hope at some point throughout all of this, Todd Dickson reads this post and finds the heart to get to the bottom of what his employees are out there doing to his company. So sad that I was only at the beginning of my relationship with champion windows when I signed that contract... well that was until they burned me.Update 01/15/2019: I was supposed to get that follow up call today.... you guessed it... NOTHING! Please think long and hard before using this company. Save yourself the trouble that most of us have or are continuing to go through with them. Will update with more photos tomorrow that show the horrible work mentioned in my original post.
The gentleman that did repair was great
Update 3/24/19: National customer care returned my call 2 days after leaving a message. They said they would check in to my issue and have the local store get back to me. Five days later National Customer Service called me back to see if the local store had addressed my concern. I told them I never heard from anyone since last speaking to NCS on 3/11/19. Three hours later I received a call from the local Champion store. They told me, Your window is still not in and we will call you when it does. 4 MONTHS AND COUNTING FOR A WARRANTY REPLACEMENT. I guess the next course of action is BBB.Update 3/9/19: National customer care responded to original review asking me to contact. I called the number given and waited on hold for 10 minutes before finally giving up and leaving a message. If you do not count weekends and holidays I am at 65 days and counting and still nothing from Champion. They put the order in December 6th 2018 and it is March 9th 2019. Unbelievable. And once it finally comes in I get to wait another month for an appointment to install. This really could take 1/2 a year to replace a window under their warranty they tout so much during the initial sales pitch.Original Post:I filed a warranty claim the middle of November 2018 for a window with lamination separation. Their warranty technicians first available appointment was not until the first week of December 2018.The technician agreed the window needed to be replaced and according to Champion the order was placed Dec 6th with their factory in Cincinnati. While the tech was at my home he recommended that if I dont hear from them by the end of January to give them a call. When I questioned why it would possibly be 2 months to get a replacement window from the people who actually make the window he said thats just how it works. I asked what if it was broken instead of just cloudy and he said they would put plywood over it temporarily but it does not speed the process up.With that tip from the technician it is obviously not a surprise that it is now February 20th and nothing from Champion. So I called the company like my tech told me to do. I spoke to a polite rep who said the window still has not come from the manufacturer. I questioned her stating I thought they were the manufacturer. She clarified that it was their plant in Cincinnati which is 1.5 hours away from my home. She said these replacement windows typically take 60-70 days to get made and she would be checking on it when we exceeded that time frame. During this part of the conversation I am scrolling through the calendar counting days from December 6th to February 20th trying to figure out what I missed. Must be working days because it sure seemed like it had been more than 70 to me looking out this cloudy mess of a window everyday. So then I asked the question, so lets say the window comes in tomorrow. How long until I can expect it will get replaced. She kindly avoided my question and said as soon as it comes in they will schedule a technician. I told her I understand but theoretically if it came in today what is the earliest the tech could be there. She reluctantly said she is scheduling in to March 2019.So best case scenario, my cloudy window that was reported to Champion in November will not get replaced until March but based on how things have gone so far more likely April of 2019. By my way of counting, admittedly, this covers 6 months time. That is 1/2 of a year to fix a window. Thank goodness it just looks terrible. I cant imagine if I actually had a broken window. In addition to getting to wait roughly 1/2 a year for the window to be replaced. I get to pay them $99 for the service call. Dont get me wrong, I understand the business model of service calls on warranty work. Its that I get to pay $99 bucks for lack of service. In the age of 1 and 2 day delivery for practically everything this business model seems really out of step. Read the reviews, consider your options, make informed decisions.
Champion did the vinyl siding on our soffits and facia for the previous owners. We recently had our roof replaced and the roofers damaged sections of the siding and frame. I called and explained the situation. They took my info and said someone would call back. I called back 4 days later when no one returned my call. I was transferred to the “service manager” and left a vm. 3 days later I called back again when no one returned my call. The lady said the service person was on a call but would call me back immediately. I asked for an email address to send pictures of the damage to. I emailed the pictures and never received a return call. There is a serious customer service deficiency at this company. Look at the other reviews and you’ll see the pattern of awful customer service. So I called 3 times and emailed pictures once and I have yet to receive a return call or email 3 weeks later. I’m a patient person but this sort of customer service is inexcusable.
The failure of Champion has little to do with the product itself but entirely to do with a total lack of respect for the customer and a wantonly disorganized and unaccountable customer service staff. If you order from Champion, be aware that you will be required to manage the entire process yourself over the course of several months or your money will be withdrawn and no service will ever be performed.Edit in Response to Champion Response - You can complete the install job. Currently the install has been halfway completed. Instead of completing the job, they have stopped working on my windows and moved on to another project. My concern will not be addressed until the job is complete. It was supposed to be completed Thursday, it was supposed to be completed Friday, it was supposed to be completed Monday, it was supposed to be completed Tuesday and now its scheduled to be completed tomorrow. Needless to say, I do not have any confidence that it will be completed.
They stood me up for 1st appointment. The second time they told me they couldnt fix my issue.
I own a home that has a 4-season sunroom which was built by the previous owners and I have no idea what company was used to build it. The sunroom has been problem free for the past 7 years and now we are having an issue with one of the sliding doors. Today I called Champion and was immediately told that if the room was not built by Champion, they could not help me. I asked if they would be willing to look at the sliding glass door and again was told they do not work on anything unless it was a Champion sunroom. Seriously?!? How about offer to look up my address in your system to see if it was built by Champion? Customer service was terrible! And this rule does not make since! You have lost a paying customer.
USE CHAMPION WINDOWS FOR ANYTHING!!!UPDATED Review. After contacting the local office and they said no to the repaire I posted this review. The reginal office then contacted me and informed me they would be out to fix the problem. Several weeks later I goy a call from the local office and they said We cought them on a bad day and they were sorry for the way the treaded us. we will be out there next week to take care of the issue. The did come next week and took care of the issue. They installed a sunroom the insulation under my deck after six months is all falling down, it looks terrible They will not fix it. They said it would cost to much to do it correctly. The doors dont lock. My wife wants a bay window to be install, it will not be with Champion. I will never use them again nor will I recommend them. I went to their office everyone said oh yes, we will fix that, the manager of repairs came out and everyone got quit, he said no we will not fix this. It was my fault because the wind can get under my deck. They knew the wind would get under my deck and said nothing when it was installed. Everything was going to be great when before they got my money now it’s my fault. DON’T USE CHAMPION WINDOWS FOR ANYTHING!!!
I paid up front then waited 2 months for my door, I finally called to complain and The door had been there for a month. They scheduled the door replacement on a Monday so I took off work then called and canceled Sunday. It was rescheduled for 9 on Tuesday so I took another vacation day then they wait until 10 and call and cancel again. First it was they were over booked then it was a guy got sick which is a lie cause if he was sick why call me an hour after the appointment.
Crooks do not trust these people in what they say if you give them a deposit they will not return any portion of it if something were to happen they are not easy to deal with nor are they compassionate in any way shape or form keeping part of your deposit for materials is understandable They do not need tokeep all of the $5000 deposit
I love my windows!
Good price, easy to work with .
