A huge thank you to the folks at Probilt! My old car is transformed, seriously. In the middle of my cross-country move, I found myself in Louisville with a check engine light that had started flashing at me like it meant it. They fit me in on a Friday, and proceeded to save the day. They got me out of there by 3pm and my car drives like a totally different vehicle. Along with figuring out the problem with the check engine light (spark plugs and coils), they also pointed out that two of my tires were a mess as well as my battery. I trust their diagnoses and work because I proceeded to drive on 600 miles and it drives like a dream! None of the annoying shakes and pulls that I had thought were just old car quirks. Now: I have taken this car to several mechanics for general check ups since buying it, and once even for a check engine light that kept coming on, and none of them got to the root(s) of the problem. So along with being great rescuers in an emergency situation, I can say these folks are a cut above just all around. Fast problem solving and work that WORKS. Thanks everyone.

I had to have a brake line replaced that failed unexpectedly and I didnt have time to replace myself. Called first thing in the morning and talked to Dan, they fit me in, did an AMAZING job and were done by 1pm. They are very fairly priced and will gladly bring my cars back here in the future.

We were in Louisville from Lexington to visit family. Our muffler broke and the exhaust system was thumping loudly against the underside of the car. It was afternoon on Friday. We had never dealt with Probilt. It was an emergency for us. We pulled into the premises, explained our emergency, the staff was very courteous and professional . They removed another customer car from the lift, raised our car, told us the muffler was busted, told us they would put us on the schedule for an immediate repair, showed us exactly what it would cost, they gave us a very fair quote, did not try to exploit our emergency, and had the car fixed in just minutes, after the new muffler was delivered. It was all done in less than an an hour. They are GREAT!!!

Been going to Probilt for 23 yrs. Would not consider going elsewhere. Am treated with respect and informed of anything they find wrong. Prices are very reasonable and they have never tried to up-sale me. Any problem I have had with my auto, they fixed perfectly.

Very efficient and upfront about what needs to be fixed and how much it will cost. They fixed it super quick and my car is running much better than before.

Theyre a bit pricey, but they will fix whatever dumpster fire you roll into their shop. Well worth their prices because you dont have to end up taking your car to another shop after them.

I aksed them to do a trip check and fix whatever needs to be done for me to safely travel 700 miles in my 17 year old truck. He called and told me he wishes he had found something to make him some money but told me my truck was in great shape. He could have replaced a couple things and charged me but instead only charged for less than one hour of labor. Thats highly respectable and honest.

Hands down the best mechanics in Louisville. The guy that runs the shop is as honest and upstanding as they come. My original estimate was close to 4k. They did it under 2k. Great staff and everyone is friendly. There are more AES certificates on the wall than I knew existed.

Our company box truck broke down near their shop. They immediately sent their tow company and got our truck right in. Next day we were on our way. They replaced the starter at a great price so we had them do 4 tires also.Prices are fair, excellent people, great service. A rare find. Highly recommended.

Took my care here after having some trouble from other repair locations. Excellent service and they replaced the part as quickly as possible. Price was very reasonable and they even offered to drop me off down at U of L and pick me up when the repairs were finished. I would highly recommend this location and will use they for any future needs.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for the longest but here it goes. In August 2019 Myself, My 2 sons, My cousin and her daughter were on a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee to visit family. After a rough period in my life this vacation was my much needed break. While driving through Louisville our car stalled in the middle of the highway. We sat for 2 hours trying to flag down passing vehicles. 1 guy stopped but couldn’t get the car to start. When that failed, out of options we called the police. They came and drove us to a nearby motel for the night. We didn’t have enough money to pay for a tow off the road and the free state tow was closed for the night so we went to sleep. We woke up early the next morning hoping to get the car towed to a shop. We walked from the motel to Chic-Fil-A hoping to catch a bus that could get us where we needed to be. After 30 minutes of waiting it started pouring rain. We went in chic-fil-a and bought 1 box of nuggets for the kids to split. Someone in the restaurant must’ve felt bad for us because a few minutes later the cashier brought 5 boxes of nuggets over and told us someone had paid for it already(A blessing). After hearing our story, Another patron gave us enough cab fare to get back to the car so it could be towed (another blessing).Once we mad it back to the car we got it towed to Probilt. The owner was very, very welcoming. We had luggage, 3 restless kids and we looked like everything we had been though (lol) but he still took his time to examine our car. He explained what was wrong and gave us the best advice. He let us know our car wasn’t even worth fixing. He helped us look for junk yards that would take the car. He let us stay in his shop without giving him a dime for 8 hours until my cousin could come up from Nashville to get us. He even stayed a little bit after closing so we wouldn’t have to wait outside.His kindness to us restored my faith in humanity. We’re from Chicago and people aren’t like that here. He knew we needed help and did what he could to help us out from his heart.So to the man in the shop that August day, thank you.

Love love love! I cant speak highly enough about this shop. Scott is amazing and beyond helpful. Instead of them just saying you need something done they actually take the time to educate the consumer on why it needs to be done and if it is not done what the consequences could be. This shop operates with a passion for what they do and its apparent. Ive taken my highlander there for several things and they are honest and upfront. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation !

Heres my Probilt story:Im a college student at Michigan State University. I decided to go on a cruise after our spring semester ended, and I was going to drive from Michigan to Florida. Little did I know, my little car was going to break down right outside of Louisville. When my insurance company asked where I wanted to tow my car to, I was lost. I had a very narrow margin in order to make it to Florida in time to depart for my cruise! Also, did I mention this happened at 6pm on a Sunday?I consulted Google reviews, saw the rest of the Excellent reviews, and immediately decided to entrust my car to Probilt. I dropped off my car, leaving the key in the key drop. The next day, I called the shop. I told them I had dropped off my car, and needed it fixed by the time I would be back to Louisville from my cruise.The owner, Keith, was INCREDIBLY helpful, and a lifesaver. He fixed my car (and did a fantastic job), and had it ready for me by the time I returned from my vacation. He went way above standard service by working with me while I was 4 states away.I would definitely recommend Probilt to anyone who needs their car fixed in Louisville, whether you happen to just break down like me, or live there permanently. Had my 97 Ranger sent in for a new starter. Got it towed at 5pm the previous day, had a call first thing the next with my estimate, told an hour till done, 30 minutes later I was called with good news, just needed a new wire. I love that they were honest and nearly cut their estimate in half. Will be using again for my auto repair needs and will be recommending to others!

We recently used Probuilt for the second time and the experience was unbeatable. I called on a Wednesday with an issue, dropped the car off Thursday morning and they had it fixed and back to me by Thursday at lunch. So far this is the only place I trust to give me honest feedback and suggestions. They aren’t there to up sell you on things you don’t need, it’s refreshing if you are used to the dealerships.

Keith and the whole garage have taken care of me for years. I trust them. I had a weird problem a few days ago. They spent 3 hours looking into it and charged me way less than I expected for a drop in. I am very happy.

Im afraid our experience was rather poor and even confusing for the second shop we went to for the subsequent work stemming from Probilt. For starters, they have a system in place where they keep notes on a computer but do not share that information with you on your receipt. Such was the case when we asked them to check our suspension, brakes, steering system, and tires... TIRES. They told us the tires were fine. The same tires that the tire shop said the following week were extremely dangerous to have on my car and should have been replaced on the spot; the rubber had worn all the way down and the metal fibers were sticking out. When I called to address this, the guy on the phone said on his computer notes, it suggested new tires, but they didnt bother telling us. However, they did charge us $1,100 to replace two control arms and two ball joints and rotate our tires (found out later two other shops would have done it for $500). Just rotate, thats it. So they took off the tires and didnt care about the condition of them. Also, there was no alignment done. It was very much needed with how bad the pulling was. This is where some controversy starts, the tire shop who actually took care of us and gave us new tires could not align the tires because the rear laterals were messed up so bad, but they also stated alignment should have been done if the ball joints were replaced, regardless of any control arm work, but that means Probilt should have caught the bad rear laterals and told us. After calling 3 other mecahnics, I called Probilt again, and he stated A THIRD TIME, while I had him on speaker with a mechanic next to me, alignment was not necessary. The shop that took care of us theorized that either Probilt was too lazy to align or they possibly dont even own the alignment machine as its very expensive. Their negligence has put my wife in danger and has also led to other issues which I will be addressing with the attorney on my next appointment.TL;DR. Probilt had a blank check, didnt tell us tires were dangerous, ignored some stuff, charged $1,100 on what would be $500 at a few other places, and other mechanic shop are questioning their integrity/knowledge.

I’ve had 2 vehicle repairs/services, 1st cat converters and 2nd wheel bearing. Prices are reasonable and service is amazing! I would not go anywhere else.

I took my car in with transmission problems on Wednesday at 1pm. Keith, who is crazy friendly by the way, called me at 5pm with the diagnosis - I told him to go ahead and fix it. I picked up my car at 1pm the next day and its now problem free! Hopefully it will be good for a long time.

We moved here from out of town last year and chose Probilt based on the reviews- they satisfied! Our first experience was great, good pricing and quality work. We recently put it in again on a busy weekend and they took a look and helped us out a lot! Spoke to Scott specifically, and would highly recommend him and this business to those looking for quality work from trustworthy folks!

Highly recommend. I have dropped my BMW off multiple times and the quality of work is 2nd to none while price is cheaper or comparable to everybody else around. Will be returning (if needed, of course).

These guys exceeded my expectations on every count. They got me in the next day even though they had a full load of cars. They stayed at work until it was done even though they worked past closing time. They could have told me that there was a more expensive problem with my car and I could not have questioned them on it, but they didnt. They found out it was something simple and only charged me the minimum amount for it. They were friendly, fun, and responsive. I highly recommend them.

Rip off, charged extra for the part itself (it is cheaper at other places) I felt like they took advantage of me being in a situation of needing my car fixed asap, I just didnt have time to go to other service. Rude manager only cares about your payment and once you paid have no interest about answering additional questions. Do not recommend and I will never come back.

This place tries to screw people. Scott rambles on about nonsense and you cant get a word in edgewise. He also tried to get out of the warranty that they offered. Got my gas pump replaced by them (and they told me it had a 2 year warranty parts and labor) then it broke down about a month later.I got it diagnosed at a different shop and they said it was the gas pump so I called Scott and they took a look at it and said it wasnt the gas pump so he wasnt going to replace it. After arguing with them he said fine Ill put one on but its not going to fix it. Well, when he put it on it fixed the problem, proving that they tried to lie so they didnt have to honor my warranty .

I was totally impressed with Probuilt. I was only there for a convention for a couple days and called for a warranty repair. They allowed me to drop off my truck and drove me to the convention center and then gave me a ride back the next day when the repair was completed. Im sure warranty doesnt pay very well but I was treated like a long-time local customer instead of a guy from out of town in need of quick repairs. All was completed quickly and accurately. Thank you Scott and the rest of the Probuilt staff for helping me in a time of need!

My vehicle was serviced quickly, but I was charged the price for a new high dollar replacement when a low dollar remanufactured part was installed.

My AC button was stuck on and Probuilt first quoted me $1360 to fix it. With a used part they were going to charge me $499. I took it to a competitor who cleaned up the existing part and didn’t even charge me.
