My husband and i took a friend to Got Kosher this week. She wanted to know why she hadnt been there before-she liked it so much. You were out of pulled and rotisserie chicken which was a shame as I love the pulled chicken sandwich. You were also out of fresh onion rings. We come from Northridge because of the great food, good prices, Gregory and Linda. The chicken soup was fabulous.

I love the staff at Got Kosher! I have a large weekly challah order that I have been doing for parents who are at Overland School and Temple Isaiah members during the pandemic. They do such a great job getting it ready. When I forget to call, they call me!! When I donMt have them deliver, they always offer to help get it to the car or whatever else they can do. I love to talk to them in the phone and visit there on Friday morning. It brightens my day. And the challah? None better in the City!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

The Pulled beef brisket sandwiches are daredevil good. I dare you not to get addicted. The onion rings are packet bought - crap. But the bread and meat, and everything in that sandwich make up for it big time. Just stick to the pulled beef and youll fill any fast food craving you are having.

Got Kosher is the best kosher bakery, deli, and more. By no means is GK a deli in the traditional sense. You can order the most delicious kosher delicacies by the pound. Ready made food that’s different every time. The variety allows for Got Kosher to be a go-to place when you want something new. And if you don’t? They have tons of great classics that never get old. Two words: JERUSALEM CHALLAH. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. If you want the restaurant experience, there is an attached restaurant next door, Harissa. Delicious. Now that we know the food is good, let’s get more personal. The owners of GK are two amazing personalities that want to be your friend. They are on a mission to help provide a variety of flavors in the kosher world. If you are familiar with kosher, you may know that there is a limited variety of options when it comes to food. GK works very hard to give you a great experience.I am very happy to be a new customer of this establishment. I enjoy supporting these people. May everyone reading this have a wonderful experience!! Food is great, but takeout department is an absolute nightmare. Have never had a satisfactory experience. We ordered from here for Passover. We were incredibly underwhelmed. We got the mushroom quinoa risotto, expecting a delicious dish with some sort of sauce and a combo of quinoa and risotto or something of the sort.... nope. It was just mushrooms and quinoa, dry as cardboard and pretty flavorless. We also ordered the artichoke beignets. Beignets are usually deep fried fritters, so we thought ‘wow, they’re making beignets from artichokes?! That’s incredible!’ Nope. It was just chunks of artichoke with onions and a sauce. It looked so unappealing. We didn’t end up eating any of it.We were so put off and disappointed and feel like we were totally misled. Why put ‘risotto’ in the name of the dish if there’s literally nothing more to it than mushrooms and quinoa? Why call them beignets if they have nothing in common with beignets?Beyond that, when we ordered, we scheduled our pick up for 9am. We arrive at 9:05am to discover the shop is closed. We found a delivery person out back, who told us they don’t open till noon. Thankfully (or maybe not given what the food ended up being), he was able to get our order. The receipt attached to the bag was not for our order, though, and he had no idea what to make of it.All in all, so disappointed. Feel like we wasted our time and money. Wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t return.-----UPDATE: I reached out to the restaurant. I wish I could give this place negative stars after interacting with them further. In response to my note about the poor quality food, they simply said everyone else likes the dishes so Im clearly wrong. In a response to my review, the restaurant said Customer satisfaction is always one of my priority. But not when they exaggerate and use irrelevant subjective arguments. You used reasons that were ill informed and wrong factually. My irrelevant subjective argument was that the food was bad - that isnt something that can be wrong factually because, as noted, its SUBJECTIVE. If the restaurant cared about customer satisfaction, they wouldnt try to refute a customers experience by pointing out how many other people liked the food (which makes the restaurant right factually, apparently). No restaurant is perfect and every restaurant messes up. This place refuses to consider that possibility. They also said I dont respect the restaurant, the staff, the hours they put in, and the money they have to pay for kosher certification.... but seemed to ignore their hypocrisy as they ignored the fact that we spent our time going to pick up the food at a time they told us to that was BEFORE the restaurant opened, the fact that money doesnt grow on trees and we have to work to earn money to spend, and that spending money to get a kosher certification doesnt justify delivering subpar food. The restaurant manager seems to think customers shouldnt post reviews about their bad experiences at his restaurant (indeed, he seems to think my statement that I would post a review about the experience and share it with others was an attempt to blackmail him), but thats exactly what sites like yelp & Google reviews are for. If he doesnt want bad reviews, he should either make food that tastes at least decent OR be empathetic when customers contact him about negative experiences. After a lot of back and forth where the restaurant owner was rather dismissive, he conceded to returning some of the food cost in the form of restaurant credit. As I had no interest in returning to the restaurant given the terrible food AND service, I did not want to receive any store credit. I ended up contacting my credit card company to see if they could help resolve the situation. Again, this was after I tried to resolve the matter directly with the restaurant via several unreturned phone calls and many facebook messages where the manager treated my experience as irrelevant and wrong.BOTTOM LINE: DONT EAT HERE. THE FOOD & SERVICE ARE TERRIBLE.

I loved this place. Its got an eclectic menu but I decided to go for the Tunisian cuisine since thats usually harder to find kosher. The bstilla (chicken and almond pie) was one of the best foods Ive ever eaten - perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. The lemon raisin chicken tajin was also excellent - the broth was thick and tart but not overly so. They even have Dr. Browns in glass bottles! I didnt even know they made that!I would definitely come back here again.

I do not understand any negative reviews of this place -- at least, not as to any of the North African dishes. The North African food is not good for a kosher restaurant. It is also not good for a glatt kosher restaurant. Its just plain good -- no, correction -- GREAT.[Im not Jewish (or anything, really). But I get takeout here on the way home from my office -- and when I get home, I inhale whatever I ordered as part of my Working Through The Menu. I have not had a bad call yet.]And I never found the service slow -- theyre cooking something of quality. If you want fast food, go to the MacDonalds down the street.Neil
