The cupcakes here are definitely on the sweet side. I like how the cupcakes are nice and moist. My bf enjoyed the carrot cake. My friend who doesnt like carrot cake even liked the carrot cake so thats saying something. My personal favorite would be the chocolate.

Wow! Ive been trying to get this place for months. I spotted it in passing late one night and promised myself I would try it someday. That someday was today and Man, it did not disappoint! I ended with a four pack of cupcakes. I polished off two in the car, before driving off. Im somewhat relieved that its a little difficult to get to (i.e. parking and a one way street), otherwise I would be here every day. Take my advice. Be good to yourself and experience Big Man Bakes!P.S. The other two never made it home either.

Swung by to grab a red velvet and the award-winning carrot cake cupcake and both survived the tumultuous flight back to Texas without as much as a stray dab of frosting. The cupcakes from Big Man Bakes are fluffy and light, like eating a cloud! The frosting quantity, taste, and consistency are perfectly balanced as well. No instant sugar coma afterward, or sickeningly greasy feel. Just all around yum! The cupcakes are big too, and perfect for sharing with a friend!

Ive been meaning to write this review for a while now, but I still remember how AMAZING the cake was. Someone brought in a sheet cake for someones birthday at work; it was a marble cake with bavarian cream and I had to hold myself back from having a second piece! The cake was super moist and had the perfect amount of sweetness (some cakes are too sweet for my taste). Even though its a bit of a drive for me (I live on the westside), I look forward to trying more of their creations...

Its one of the best cupcakes you can get in Los Angeles!Sprinkles is pretty and chic but Big Man actually taste better. Try their Lemon and Caramel Apple-there is nothing like it! For Dark chocolate loverse, try black and white. Their Red Velvet is also moist and yummy. And if you like Carrot Cake, you must try thee carrot cupcake!

After much deliberation I ordered the black and white chocolate cupcakes and when they first arrived i was like oh no they dont have that much frosting :/ but then i took a bite and it was kinda crazy because their cupcakes dont follow the traditional narrow bottom robust top theyre more large cylinders throughout with a subtle valley on top that hides a little extra frosting + the cake itself has a very moist and rich texture with a dynamic chocolate flavor. 5 stars.

Though multiple are her favorites, she described which cupcakes are perfect for a given mood.She also gave us some tips on the best coffee shops to visit, as well as other fun establishments that were near some destinations already on our itinerary.Needless to say, the carrotcake cupcake we bought was delicious. Perfect texture and moistness. The one she gave us for free (and got a big tip) was even better.

Some of the best cupcakes Ive ever had! Gone are the days of dry cake and sickly-sweet icing from store-bought cupcakes. The cupcakes from Big Man are fresh, with a moist and light cake, and the buttercream icing is perfectly sweet. The mini cupcakes are fire and Ill be back again for sure!

I was so excited to peak through the doors and see the chocolate banana pudding in stock. Both banana puddings are the best banana puddings I ever had. Its so well balance and has the perfect amount of sweetness. Their cupcakes are also define. Staff is nice and friendly. The space is definitely roomy and is just your Instagram worthy bakeshop.

I never leave reviews, but this cupcake is worth it. This is by far the best cupcake Ive ever tasted. So moist and flavorful. The owner took the time to explain every flavor to me, and the cashier was very pleasant. I wish I could take this bakery back to the east coast with me.

The cupcakes here are delicious. I traditionally co.e here each year in January for my husbands birthday cupcakes. Rod, was very helpful, polite and was overall great. I spoke to him over the phone 1st before arriving. The store was neat, clean and well kept. I like that they are now open until midnight on Saturdays and possibly Friday as well. I will definitely keep coming to Big Man Bakes.

Best cupcakes hands down. My favorite is the candied apple cupcake but theyre all great. I used to live a half a block away from here and I gained a lot of weight coming and buying cupcakes here. I still come by whenever I get a chance because honestly Oprah and CNN on not wrong when they say some of the best cupcakes in America.

Everything is delicious here. You cant go wrong, theyre open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. The owner has been there every time Ive stopped in, and hes such a nice guy, he and his wife are so welcoming. Oh and there are mini cupcakes too.Oh and he doesnt mess around with the flavors, each once is distinct and wonderful. My favorites are the double chocolate, and the black & white, but there is a specialty flavor that pops up from time to time and its almost like praline pecan with a caramel drizzle that is to die for. Love their chocolate almond croissants, theyre better when theyre freshly baked and still warm with that melted chocolate meets the marzipan. Their croissants are also better than the ones Ive had in France. Overall good experiences each time Ive gone, and managed to avoid the long lines.

The cupcakes range from moist to mushy. The customer service is extremely lacking which makes sense because you won’t see the same people working there for more than a few weeks. You can try calling to see what they have and can expect an extreme attitude from any person who answer. Was walking past one day and heard the owner fighting and refusing to pay his employee after a month on her not getting her check so there’s another good reason not to support this business. I love and support black owned business but not ones who screw over their own black employees. I’d rather spend 10x as much at sprinkles.

Order some 48 mini cupcakes for my sons birthday party. They have a parking lot attached to their location and they do validate. The cupcakes were just okay I wasnt over the moon thought they were a little dry. The the young lady serving me wasnt the friendliest. Shee was in a super hurry to leave because they were having an event for the owner of the restaurant and she was focused on trying out to close the store and get out of there for the event.

Great first time experience here this week! I had passed this spot numerous times hanging out nearby and finally decided to try them out for my sons birthday this year. Stopped by and bought a couple of different cupcakes to try before placing a larger order for a party. After they passsed the taste test (moist cakes and frosting that wasnt too sweet) called the next day and spoke to Jeff who took my order. Used the parking lot next to the store (dont forget your validation which covers the 15 minutes for free), picked up the goods and was out!

Tried a selection of Bobs storied donuts and found the custard-filled chocolate bar to be my favorite. The old fashioned was tough and the crumb donut too sweet. Kids didnt complain about the glazed and the chocolate cake donut. Id go back only if in the neighborhood, otherwise Id hit Donut World whose custard-filled chocolate long john is NOWHERE near as good as Bobs.

I called an placed an order on Friday and confirmed a pick up time with the lady I was on the phone with for the following day at 9am. I arrived at my exact pick up time on Saturday and no one was at the shop. I spoke to the owner and there was some confusion as to employees not showing up and reservations not placed at the correct time. I did not get to my order as the distance driving back was way too far. but my credit card was already charged. I am still waiting on my refund to be processed.

I read a review saying that they used too much butter. Too much butter in a croissant? I had to try it for myself. Sure enough the croissants are very buttery. They are also light & flaky, clearly a sign of too much flour! Sure, what gets in your mouth melts like butter, but lots of flakes end up on the ground or in your lap. What a waste! I think they should make mini-croissants that I can shove in my mouth whole, then maybe, Id be happy.

Personally, I think these are some of the best cupcakes Ive ever had. The first time I got one, my boyfriend said that hell only have a bite since hes not a big cupcake fan. He ended up eating half of it! The cake is really moist while the frosting is sooo airy yet creamy. They are definitely on the sweeter side though, so I cant eat more than one (even though Ive tried whoops). So far Ive tried the black and white, oreo, and red velvet. One thing I would mention is that the frosting on the red velvet cupcake tastes strongly like cream cheese, which is a little bit too much for me.The reason Im knocking off a star is because I had to wait for over an hour once because they ran out of cupcakes. When they restocked, they didnt have the full variety of flavors available. I know that most places that make them fresh will run out near the end of the day, but this was at like 7PM, 3 hours before they close. However, that wont deter me from coming back for more.

Hands down - OUTSTANDING Service. I called from out of state to order a delivery for my adult sons birthday. I requested cupcakes - enough for the office where he works. Lauren was so professional and she got it all set up. She sent me a confirmation right away. The delivery was made today right on time, exactly as promised. I was told that the cupcakes were a HUGE hit. My son said the chocolate and the carrot cake which he ate were delicious! Thanks Big Man Bakes!! Highly recommend this business!!!

If you need a French croissant fix or any French dessert fix, this is the place to come. Armondo is an amazing authentic French baker. He takes no short cuts. Everything is delicious . I drove an hour just to come here. Ham and cheese croissant, chocolate are my favorites.

Cakes, Cupcakes are available whole and slices. Baked fresh, four layered, authentic old school icing. Drawback: parking is limited to curbside. After your first slice of cake, you wont mind that problem.

This place is decent. It wasnt as good as I thought it was going to be. I only really liked ONE cupcake and I tried a lot of different ones. The best one to me is the lemon cupcake. Other than that, this place isnt really anything TOO special. The shop is small and I only dealt with one person that works there and she seemed nice. Big Man Bakes does not pay employees. Ive been waiting on my sister to get her final check from them since the last week of October 2019. Since then, Ive had 2 other employees that started working there after she quit contact me letting them know they have not received their pay either. No good business refuses to pay employees.
