One star because this store does not enforce mask mandate and also shamed me about my mask. One lady in line in front of me did not wear a mask (bandana on neck). I of course was wearing my mask but also tried my best to keep at least 6ft from the unmasked lady. The cashier told me to move up and when I told her why I was staying back, she said that mask is not required inside the store. She and the unmasked lady talked and made some jokes about me. I did not ask anyone to mask up. I only asked to be allowed to stand back enough so that I feel safe. I did nothing wrong and was more than accommodating. People have different levels of comfort and I think we should respect each other.
I’ve been here by chance and had something I think it was nuts and honey pastry! But really good, soft, delicious, I wasn’t expecting! Even I had 85 coffee was good. They have big selection of pastries and cakes looks good.
I got a strawberry milk tea which turned out to be 60% ice cubes. It was good but why was it mostly ice cubes. Also, they sold their potato croquettes in packs of two. I got two packs, and was charged four times (one time for each individual croquette, instead once per pack). The way the price was labeled was extremely misleading. The croquettes’ taste was alright, but I wouldn’t get them again. The cashier also charged me for two sugar cream cheese buns even though I only got one. She was nice and I got a refund for that, though.
Horrible experience . Bad customer service I order two cakes from them . One cake was order a week before because it has special writing. When I open the cake it did not have the writing and their excuse was pathetic .
Milk tea boba here tastes terrible. Fair enough, its only $3.95 – but if you want boba that tastes like cardboard go for it. Ive been to this chain bakery in Taiwan and Hong Kong and its much better.
This location is a bit small and doesnt have the selection of larger 85 locations. They didnt have egg tarts, for instance. But everything was delicious!
The food is great, drinks are great, but its a very small place and its always packed. On top of that there is no outdoor seating anymore so there really is no place to sit.
Great pasteries and drinks, but terrible service. It gets extremely hot inside the small store and there will be a line out the door full of people and only one person checking out customers when there are many other employees in the store. Ive had to ask for someone else to come up to the register when it was very obvious they needed another person with so many customers in the store. Many got tired of waiting and left.
Great food... slow service
Amazing bakery with pretty reasonable price for the incredible quality you get. Many locations around LA, this one is fairly conveniently located in the beautiful Century City Mall. This specific store can get very busy during the day on a weekend and often gets quite warm too, not sure if their AC is working, but its not really a problem since you can eat outside.Instead of bringing donuts, stop by here and grab a box of pastries for your next event or meeting. I promise your friends will love you!
Great selection, great taste very nice staff, reasonable prices. fast efficient service
Small, limited choice, missed “fresh bread” round
All the baked good looked amazing, I had a little bake bread thing, sooo good.
Love the food. Parking is pain.
Taking great safety precautions and have a wide variety of baked items considering its a small shop. Also, love the milk tea!
Mango and Rose bun, really nice
Great location and selections.
Kinda sad store when you are selling sweet treats. Limited selections of pastries and cakes.
Place can get your diet in trouble!
Egg tarts are the thing to get here! Theyre a bit bigger and thicker than the ones they usually serve at dim sum restaurants. Its not as sweet as most egg tarts that Ive tried too, but tastes delicious. Flaky and creamy. Comes out piping hot so be careful! Ive burnt my tongue multiple times trying to eat it too quick.
One of my favorite places to have pastries of all kind. Most important for me is that their products are not too sweet and they are at a reasonable price. I also like the variety of things they sell. Service is good. Its only a place to pick up your food not to seat and enjoy... however the mall has plenty on nice places you can enjoy their pastries or cakes.
Love their sea salt coffee or tea.
Didnt try the bakeries this time but I liked the 85c coffee here.
I once saw a tiny fly inside one of the display cases, flying from baked good to baked good. So, I avoided that entire case. There are some unusual baked items that looked interesting in the other fly-less cases so I bought a chocolate muffin which I enjoyed. I will return But, with the fly in mind, I will always be on the look out for flies and similar, first.
Very helpful staff even in slow Covid reopenings. Came from Lancaster to get bread after appointment at VA. Called in as I was unsure how to order online. Ended up going in and picking bread up. Not much the but what was there were many of my favorites I havent had in 8 months.
Wow wow wow did not see one single item I would not eat n love. Everything looks smells n taste like it just came out of the oven. Actually it may have staff us constantly putting out hot fresh goods. Great selection of coffees as well . Love this place will be back soon .
Awesome selection of unique desserts and pastries. The chocolate hazelnut cake is fantastic - and I dont even love chocolate, but OMG. If you are into mango anything, this place is a MUST.I went at two different times of day, in the same day (dont judge!) and the selection was killer both times. Totally worth a trip (or trips - if you are a pastry hog like me).
Awesome place! Great Asian baked treats and great prices.Four not five stars just because of the long line to check out where you have to hold your tray. Gets tiring.Hope they add buns with creamy corn like you can get in China!Edit: removed a star due to long lines. They need to figure out a way to speed things up!
Century City staff is rude and the store consistantly runs out most baked goods 2 hours before closing. I love the product, so many amazing baked goods just wish the customer service in this particular store was better bc Torrance is just a bit too far to drive. Torrance is amazing in every aspect...well stocked and really positive experience, great team!!!
Pretty busy on the weekends. Good selection and mostly still available in the afternoon. Self service can be hectic if there are a lot of people. Pastries are good. Very buttery and creamy!
This place is amazing! I wanted to buy everything at the store. The Sea Salt ice coffee is so delicious! The bread...yummy!
The bread and pastries here are a lot better than Paris Baguette. Their salted butter bread is amazing!
Very kind went in for just a water but got desert as well
I wouldve given them 5 stars but they need to fix the air conditioner. It always feels like a 95 degree sauna in there no matter how cool it is outside, but on hotter days its worse. Now try the Sea Salt strawberry green tea smoothie and that will make up for the extreme heat 🔥!
Just okay. It’s a generic bakery — they do from matcha rolls to ham and cheese croissants, from sponge cakes to cheesecakes, from egg tarts to brioches and... You name it!Some taste to mocha, or guava, or spinach, or blueberry, or honey, or kale, and chocolate plus lots things more. In the end, textures and flavours are pretty much the same.Fillings are rather sparing, at least on the pastries we chose, both sweet and savoury. At least it’s cheap.Hot drinks were okay — cause, again, they try to do everything from boba tea to caramel macchiato and salted coffee!Do not recommend it though, since they allow dogs inside the shop.
Very busy new spot. Unique offerings as well as traditional favorites. Blueberry cheesecake was delish
Varieties and tasty
The food here is as good as any other 85C, very tasty pastries and teas/coffees. The lines can be very long if you come during peak hours, especially on the weekends. You sometimes have to wait around 15 minutes if you order a beverage as they tend to only have one person making beverages at a time.
First time trying them, and all their goodies were delicious. Only thing I was concern was that the employees who were placing the pastries on the stall were not wearing gloves.
Not my taste. Weird coffees and teas. May be exciting for others
Smelled so good... And tasted good as well. especially loved the cheesecake
I tried their 85coffee it has cream on it. The 🥭 🍑 smoothies is so good, but I ordered another one for my little kid and it was completely different! Consistency problem!
This place is okay because it is consistently out of stock. I mean youre a bakery for Christs sake, you have one job, keep it stocked. If you have a particularly popular product, i.e. the egg tarts. Have them stocked. If its black Friday and the mall will be full, dont run out of egg tarts for the NIGHT at 7pm?? This isnt just on this day though, it happens very often so I can attest to it not being due to a special occasion. Otherwise, the food is fine, nothing too special. The boba milk tea is alright when they add sufficient boba, and meh when they forget to add sugar. If you come here and they end up doing absolutely everything right, youll probably leave very happy and satisfied. Any other time and youll feel sort of cheated, but not enough to go back and complain.
The staff of Century City was so rude, and they ran out of a lot of items that I wanted. I don’t want to be like a bad person but really no one talked to me and was rude like the hue who was working there. It’s absorbed. They have tables without chairs!
Smells appetizing upon entry, makes you want to have everything. I liked the varied selection of cakes on display.
Delicious pastries and sweet breads! Plenty of matcha, chocolate, egg and cream options here to choose from.Grab a tray and tongs at the right when you walk in, then put all your food on it and get in line to pay. They have bubble tea and fancier cakes at the register if you dont want whats in the bread cases.Try the red bean matcha roll or deluxe chocolate truffle, theyre my favorites!!
Delicious when theyre fully stocked. They have not been fully stocked in a while.
Dont deprive yourself from the best pastries and coffee anywhere. Simply the Best !
Tea with Milk pudding. Cake. Bread with stuff inside you didnt know was amazing.
Horrible service. Food not good at all. Savory buns refrigerator cold. Avoid!!!
Pretty decent 85c. Its a little small so they dont have my favorite breads, but runs efficiently
Good bakery... but they just don’t open on time we waited on our lunch break and they weren’t open.. workers were in there and coming out but didn’t give an answer as to why they weren’t open yet
One of the best bakery within the city. The supervisor, Adrian is great! Customer service is on point.
Freshly baked breads with so many to choose from and beautiful cakes for all occassions
A small asian bakery (which I believe is a chain) offers a unique selection of baked goods. The taro filled bread is our favorite. They also offer boba, entire cakes, and other interesting pastries and cheezy breads. Its also very inexpensive, especially compared to what is generally offered in the mall.
Brioche bun, sea salt coffee, white bread, mango panna cotta - all good! Love this place.
The bread is expensive, but tastes really good! I dont know about the drinks in general, but the milk tea is horrible.
Cool cafe ish shop, smells far to sweet but is overall pretty good
I dont like this 85°! The staff always seem to take a long time, its always boiling hot, there never seems to be enough staff and they dont seem happy either. Food and coffee are great but its always such drama going on there.
Best bread ever. Just make sure to arrive with a lot of time ahead.
Nice. Easy access. Good food
Amazing carmel sea salt coffee! Really good danishes as well
Theyre good the only thing I dont like is that they dont have as big of a selection is there other locations
Finally Open! Staff is nice and helpful!Great Selection of Bread, Cake, and Drinks!
Good coffee and pastries, very slow service
Great! Its finally open now. Though its not as big as the others, but still feel grateful that I dont need to drive all the way to ktown or SGV to get their butterhorn and lemon C black tea!!!
Its good
Love this place. Glad there is one in CC
Awesome! Varieties of bread, deserts, and drinks. Visited 3 times during my 5 day visit.
Nice alternative to eat at century City Mall.
Yes please for egg creams! Tarts? Who cares!? Omg delicious.
Dont bother asking their staff Adrian about availability and when theyll restock. Hell say let me check on that for you but then proceed to ring up other customers and completely ignore your question
Its got a standard selection. The lobby is too small and hot tho. Waiting in line is a pain
Limited bakery selection, the carmel sea salt coffe is BOMBBBB
I went to this store because there were two, and only two, reviewers gave this store a rating of 1 without any comment. which was strange because this bakery typically had good ratings. Well, it was NOT EVEN OPEN yet and to what ground these two raters gave a rating of 1 ? To be fair, i decided to give it a 5 - but it is not open yet.
Had better product and experoences at other locations.
Ahhhhhh, to die for. Totally worth it to mess up my diet.
Great bread and prices, great drinks. Lines can get long and the place can get cramped
Place is small. Pastries are very good
Loveeeeeee it.....good variety excellent prices...but I dont understand how they can run out of boba??? Always busy & a line!!!
Exquisite pasteries and drinks. Love it!!
2nd time going.. love this bakery..
Im waiting for the opening.Love that store..Why give 1 star????
Try their Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea, mango delightful and their tiramisu!!! 🤤🤤🤤
So fresh, good prices, tasty & quality..👍🏼👌🏼
Many choice of good pastries. Some are little bit expensive
The best bakery Ive been to!
I called the store to ask for their close time and they told me 11pm. I got here at 10:36 pm and they were closed already.
Best cheese cakes ever
Ok HK style bakery.
