This was the best Optometry I’ve ever been to, Dr Somi Kim was the best. Very informative, patient and personal. She took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. Even the front office staff was helpful and patient in every way. With helping me with insurance and even taking the time to assist in picking out my perfect frames. If I could give more thang 5 starts I definitely would. If your in need of a optometrist look no further!

Dr. Somi Kim was nice. The front gentlemen kept telling me to use my insurance for contacts. But I wanted glasses with best lenses and coating he was like that’s going to be hundreds and I was like, “Okay I’ll spend the money”, I know it will be pricey. I was being over charged until I showed my Insurance’s site and what I should be looking at to pay for lenses and frames with coating. They made a mistake in my first glasses lenses that I waited two weeks for, the prescription was off I could not see. They replaced it less then a week and the new lenses did not have the same tech shield blue coating that I paid for, it had a green reflection instead of a blue. They showed me that it blocked some blue light with a laser and told me that it was blue tech but I had a video of both lenses reflections and it was very different. The first lenses had correct coating but incorrect prescription. The second lenses had correct prescription but incorrect coating. After I show the video, he just said all lenses are different. I just took the L, they can keep the chum change. I’m just upset I didn’t get what I paid for, I’ll just take my money somewhere else next time.

Highly Knowledgeable and great care! Dr. Kim was wonderful. I found her on Yelp when looking for an inexpensive eye exam and received wonderful care at a great price. She is very thorough, highly knowledgeable, and offered information to answer my questions and beyond. Her facility has state of the art equipment including an alternate to dilation--no more wearing sunglasses for five hours with blurry vision. She has a machine that takes a picture of the retina with no side-effects. The retinal exam is additional beyond vision exam, and she was so thorough and effective I opted to do it and got even more great information. I highly recommend her. And great parking in back!

My sister referred me to Dr. Somi Kim about 3 years ago when I moved close to Ktown, and I have been going to her ever since for yearly exams and updating my contact lens prescriptions. I just went recently to get a new pair of glasses and walked out of there same-day with a beautiful pair! Her staff members are very nice and hardworking.Perks: The parking is easy and all the Korean ahjummas that work in that same plaza are so nice if you want to shop a little bit and get mandoo when youre there for an eye exam.

Overall Great experience! The selection of Eye Glasses and Sun Glasses are amazing! The level of care is great. I received very informative information about my eyesight and the Optometrist was very attentive to needs as well as details! Very professional staff and warm welcoming. Awesome prices on selections of top brands! Most amazingly, they had my Sport glasses 😊 I would highly recommend this location for all your eye needs!

Im lucky that I live close to Somi Kim but it would absolutely be worth going out of your way for Dr. Kims thorough, good-natured and patient examination and as well as their high-quality lens work. Ive been going to Somi Kim Optometry to have new lens made for existing frames since we moved to Koreatown in April of 2016. Their level of professionalism is unsurpassed and its because of them that I had Dr. Somi Kim herself administer my first eye exam since March 2015. She is a MAGNIFICENT Optometrist: extremely patient and thorough in what can often be a flustering process. I couldnt wait to get home to write my review about both her and her establishment. Her basic exam was only $50 (since I dont have insurance) and it bops up to $80 if you want the high-tech 3-D version. Likewise, you can invest in higher quality anti-scratch and anti-glare coatings as well as different weights and thicknesses of lenses. They will work with you and offer you fare, if not extremely competitive prices. Their selection of frames is WONDERFUL and I could easily drop a couple paychecks to get the latest styles in frames. I cant say enough good things about this place.

Dr. Somi Kim is easily the most patient, accessible and friendly optometrist I have ever seen. She does an excellent job of explaining what she does and why, and never is patronizing. You will never feel rushed, or walk away feeling like you are simply another patient. Her staff is equally professional and helpful. There is a very good selection of frames for women, men and children..from fairly economical to upper end and designer eyewear.

Ive returned here several times and each visit is as excellent as before. Exam process is precise and detailed.Selecting new frames is a breeze as they have multiple choices.Highly recommend them if youre in the downtown/ktown area.

Purchased a group on for the eye exam.Had never been before so I wasnt sure what to expect.I was pleasantly surprised about how nice everyone was. Dr. Nourishment called me in promptly at my scheduled time.Was very friendly, informative, and even gave me some book recommendations on my way out since he saw me reading prior to my appointment.Danny and Raul at the front desk were a pleasure to deal with.They helped go through a wide selection of frames, gave me their honest opinions and were not pushy at all.I had considered ordering frames before online but its this kind of customer service is a reason I will be back when I need another exam or glasses.

She was very nice. Her workers in the front helped me out a lot and then when I went to see Dr. Kim, she answered everything I asked and gave me more info than I even thought about. She works very hard.

Front office staff, particularly the younger gentleman, was extremely rude! Insulting us in Korean! Very unprofessional!
