I finally was able to buy donuts from here!! My husband and I have been trying to try Trejo’s donuts for a while. I always pass by but never gotten around to it. The one day that we went during their business hours, they ran out of donuts. But the guy explained to me that theyre short-staffed, and its been rough. So he gave us free donut cards to come back. So I finally went this morning. I got one of each donut and a tattoo iced coffee. The shop is bright pink easy to spot while driving. Parking was easy, and I was luckily able to walk right in. The inside is super cute as well. The donuts were very yummy, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The tattoo coffee was good; I would probably try another coffee next time. They offer vegan donuts as well for all my vegans out there! They sell all kinds of fun merchandise as well! It might be one of my fav donut spots now. :)
I felt like a coffee and a donut and stopped in this pink donut shop, got a donut with some sprinkled sugar on it, got to my truck, took one bite, then quickly another which took me back to the early 70s to how I remembered and missed how Dunkin Donuts out east coast used to claim to have the freshest donuts in which they used to change out and replace their donuts every 4 hours, I know this because I worked at one for 2 years back then. This donut I had here was by far the best donut I have ever eaten in my entire life. This compelled me to go back in and buy a mix of 6 other specialty donuts. I had to sample these when I got home in the next 30 minutes. When I got home I called my wife and daughter to the table in excitement, told them about the one donut I eat and how delicious it was then cut up the 6 assorted specialty donuts in 3rds and we sampled all 6.We agreed that these donuts are by far the best donuts we have ever eaten and worth every penny. Noel which worked at the counter was very helpful in explaining all the specialty donuts and took very good no rushing care of me.I would like to mention that my wife worked for Yum Yum Donuts for 3 years. This is my true and honest evaluation. I highly recommend trying their donuts.
I absolutely love this donut shop. I cant Express enough about how soft, fresh, and delicious these donuts are. Its hard to pick a favorite one but the berry and cinnamon are the top picks. The worker was so nice and friendly and I look forward to going back for another dozen donuts 🤤🍩
Decent shop, decent donuts. Good vibe in the place.
Trejos donuts is probably my favorite of the Trejo chain - the donuts are ACTUALLY good, especially the MARGARITA -flavored one. They are *slightly* overpriced, but its also LA. The design of everything is SPECTACULAR - they really know how to package and the logo is well integrated. They also take Covid precautions pretty seriously and have a good system in place. Im dinging them on the coffee though - its really horrible and needs to be reevaluated, especially the Nitro cans. My verdict: stay for the donut, but get your coffee elsewhere.
The donuts for good the cashier he was very friendly and the vegan Donuts are very delicious
Very disappointed. Came out for a training trip and have really enjoyed Trejos Tacos in the past and thought Id try the donuts. We made a special trip over just for that only to find it closed at 9:40 on a Monday morning with sign or explanation as to why. Call before you come I guess.
Donuts are phenomenal! Very light and not overly sweet with fun and interesting flavors like margarita and coconut. Skip the coffee, it is not great.
Amazing donuts, but often not open during posted hours which is frustrating when coming from a decent distance because it is posted to be open and being disappointed when you arrive
They advise being open until 4pm. The sign on the door says they are open til 4pm and the website. I drove all they way here and the doors were locked. The guy inside mouthed the words were closed to me. I guess they have plans with the bros tonight and want to get out early.
Drove 50 miles to get a donut. Unfornutly we arrived at 3pm. All they had left were donut holes. We bought them. Yummmm!!! The young man was very apologetic and gave us coupons for 2 free donuts. It was not his problem. Told him I was hoping to see Danny Trejo. He told me about his Cantina 4 blocks away. We went and had the best margaritas we ever had! The empanadas were delicious. Server was awesome. Still wished we could have met Danny. He is an amazing man! Maybe someday! Will return for donuts soon.
Not a good day. Arrived and they only had 2 donuts sugar and lemon poppy. Apparently sold out... but if you sell them and you run out... maybe make more...? Anyway still bought them but lemon tasted dry and sugar was gooey. Also got donut holes that tasted dayold. Wanted horchata but they also ran out so got the Mocha but lady did not even mix it. The chocolate was on bottom and no whip cream and no flavor. Mocha tasted like watered down coffee and Hersheys syrup. Today I was not treated right by Trejos Coffee & Donuts.
Some of the best donuts ever! Nice vegan selection as well. Good coffee too. The staff is super friendly! A-must visit if you’re in the area.
I suppose one of these days I should get around to trying any other kind of donut here besides the margarita, but so far, I just cant. Why? Because its SO FRIGGIN DELICIOUS. I only wish they opened an hour earlier at 6am because I start work at 7 and would dearly love to be able to bring a box of freshies in to co-workers to blow their everlovin MINDS. EAT THESE DONUTS - it will vastly improve your life.
Pink building, hard to miss at the corner of Highland and Santa Monica in Hollywood, small parking on site. The staff is friendly, the donuts are good, they have vegan options. Large selection, different flavors are available as per their menu, cake and fried, most have funny slang Hispanic names, flavors and toppings are inventive even offering a couple of savory options with cheese and jalapeño which I tried and was not bad, the black velvet was very tasty.
This place is the worst. Half the time their ordering system is glitching and then when you do place an order they usually find a way to mess it up. It’s been like that from the very beginning across all locations. Ownership and management is a disgrace. Danny should be embarrassed to have his name on this place.
Loved the donuts and Trejos face all over everything. The nitro coffee was not great but the can was dope.
GOOD doughnuts, GOOD coffee ☺️, just not a large selection. All products very, very fresh!!!😋😋😋
This coffee shop is terrific! The staff has always been so accommodating to my requests and dietary restrictions. The drinks come up quickly, so I hardly have to wait at all. Also, the place is filled with happy people. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family!
Best donuts ive had in a long while, service was very nice and quick, parking kinda sucks, but is worth it
These are the most expensive donuts and they arent that good. Also I paid $2 for one of those little school milks that only cost a quarter. Bad donuts and really expensive.
Selection was limited but service was good & the donuts that were available were delicious.
Wow, these are some of the best donuts in LA! I love their OG, it is SO GOOD! Something about the dough itself in these donuts is delicious. Ive never had donuts quite like this. The Da Berry Bomb is really good and has a fresh fruit filling taste. For the Quincenera donut, you can really get the fruity pebble flavor. I love the rainbow frosted donut too. I highly recommend this place for donuts! Friendly service as well!
Fantastic light and fluffy donuts with an incredible amount of flavor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Simply an amazing time. We were told the two times we went we had beaten the rush. Would have loved to congratulate Mr. Trejo for yet another notch on his belt of successes. Get the Three Amigos! Cannot wait for them to unleash Machete donuts! There are a couple of parking spaces there, but the other stores in the area are incredibly territorial and watch were you go so please park behind the donut shop if you can.
I saw the pink buildings around LA, and since this one was walking distance from our air bnb we had to stop by! The coffee was really good and my girlfriend and I picked out a diverse assortment of donut flavors and they were all great! Love the idea and premise of the coffee shop! Hope they open a location in San Diego!
Great donuts but need to update hours.. they were closed when I went on a Sunday morning!
With this vegan caramelized Apple cinnamon donut, they’ve expertly recreated the quality of a packaged gas station snack item
The coffee here is horrible. Asked for a cortado, was given what resembled more of a latte. As for the donuts, I’ve tried the berry one and the margarita one - both super oily. I was also charged for 5 donuts instead of 2. The staff didn’t even apologize for the mistake. Honestly, LA has much better donuts places (Sidecar, for example), so I recommend skipping this one.
Went in for a dozen, pointed at all the donuts i wanted, even asked for one of each as i pointed them out. At checkout i even asked if they put the donuts i asked, i was assured they did, get to where im going and it wasnt even the donuts i wanted. I called, but because im visiting from out of town there was no way they could help me unless i went into the atore. Sorry Danny, but not a good 1st experience
So many donut options. Familiar and interesting types of donuts.
So amazing! The texture of the donuts are fantastic. They are soft not mushy with great flavor. The selections are a twist on the traditional donut without being outrageous. The naming of the donuts are quite creative. The coffee choice my friend had was called a Chaggacino. A must try!Go to this place!
Best donuts ever! Definitely worth a 9 hour drive and stay overnight. We plan our days away from Arizona around this donut shop! They are pillowy soft and absolutely devine!. Even the vegan donuts are phenomenal! I highly recommend this place!
Great donuts but go early they do run low on flavors
I bought whole bean decaf coffee and 1/2 dozen vegan donuts about 2:30p on a Wednesday. I was happy with the selection and size of the vegan donuts. It was recommended to me to come in the morning for a wider fresher variety. However they are fresh made everyday anyway. Its better than Krispy Kreme to compare it to when I used to eat dairy and eggs. Wasnt disappointed in price either. $15 for 6 big vegan donuts that have a cloud like texture. Take my money! Havent tried the coffee yet but looking forward to it.
The bright pink paint job makes this place instantly recognizable, and the donuts are absolutely delicious. Regrettably, I dont remember the whole half dozen we got (I know that abuelita, dulce de leche, and horchata, though. Possibly also a mojito one or something similar?), but they were all fantastic. Line was short, and service friendly and efficient.
The staff needs to put more pep in there step. The food is good, but every single time I go I feel like I have to wait almost 30min to get a breakfast burrito. It’s also a bit expensive. Just on my last trip i was there they gave my order to another customer, I spent about 40 min or so talking to a homeless man named Daniel, people started to think I was homeless too.
Pretty good donuts, excited to try the vegan ones next time.
Staff is very nice, helpful, bomb drinks and donut variety.
Love all the donuts. Vegan options are yummy!! We always stop by for our fix when we are in town. Coffee is always piping hot!!
Really good, flavorful donuts.
Five, five, five stars. Vegan berry is a blast. Great combo. Love it. Hollywooood.
Donuts are phenomenal. Coffee was also great. Service was excellent.
Chugga whatever mushroom coffee was delicious but dont try to sip it hot in the store. Masks up! Customer ahead of me was ordered to leave by other door.
Great taste new flavor donuts. The Mexican cortado Ice was amazing.
Great fancy doughnuts. Good coffee as well
Omg, delicious!
Donuts were good however customer service not great!
I loved the piña fritter!! It was DELISH!!! 😁😁 the staff were ah-freakin-mazing!! 100% positivity and great vibes!! Always wanted to go here, and it was finally made this morning for me to go!! 😍😍
Not one review has talked about the donut with soft serve ice cream in it. This was probably the best donut Ive ever had and Ive even been to voodoo donuts. Its basically a jelly donut but instead of jelly its ice cream. The service was also good. Hopefully sometime machete is there so I can get him to autograph my donut.
Awesome donuts, Trejo is the man and they have a happy hour during their last hour of the day for 1/2 price donuts. For sure stop by
Lets give it up to Danny Trejo for giving us vegans a junk food option. I absolutely recommend people try the assorted box of donuts. Lets support and encourage them to bring this nationally.
Danny Trejo Coffee and Donuts? Wow. Also, I enjoyed the coffee and donut I ordered.
Came at 10:20 on a Tuesday and everything was locked. People kept coming up to check, no signs or anything.
Yesterday was my first time having his donuts and I gotta say they are amazing . And the staff are polite 😎😎🔥💯
The Birthday Donut was a Birthday treat. Excellent, crispy, and good.
This donut shop is in the corner of where I live. Its walking distance so I decided to give it a try.I was shocked to see they are only open for a few hours. They close at 4 pm everyday! Very shocking. We came on a Friday and they had a happy hour 50% off donuts so it was perfect. Since the donuts are about 2.75 each. So I got to try a donut for a dollar and some for almost 2$ but still better than regular price. It was about 330 when we came in. The store is pretty small so you walk in and the donuts are to the right. Only 1 cashier ringing people up and getting your donuts. The girl was very slow... she had three people in front of me and it took forever to reach me. I was literally about to leave . I didnt see her trying to rush. So I was about to leave even though I was next. A line formed behind me and a guy left! He didnt have the time to wait. Either they need a second worker or the girl needs to be great at multi tasking and getting people in and out!I tried the cinnamon one and the piñata donut. To be honest I was excited to try them but I was quickly disappointed after eating them. They tasted like regular donuts without the price.Usually if you go to yum yums you get a donut for a 1$ or less and here for the same quality you pay more. The only difference it that they add different toppings to the donut and it makes it seem fancy. The next day I ended going to yum yums for a regular glaze! It left me wanting more. I will not come back. Maybe only to try the bacon donut but if theres a line Im not willing to wait.
The coffee was pretty good but I was honestly not wowed by the El Diablo donut. It was a little dry. I probably would have enjoyed the Abuelita more (dark chocolate raised donut). Service was acceptable and the employees very upbeat, even if it was a little slow and mismanaged (took them 5 minutes to get me two coffees and 1 donut, serving people behind me in line first). I might come back and give them a second shot if Im in the area but not going to go out of my way.
Great vegan donuts 👍
Good donuts with vegan options, good coffee and they allow dogs inside! Just try to keep them from jumping over the counter.
The donuts were amazing. Portion size was also great. The customer service is amazing too.
Delicious donuts with some innovative flavors. Try the horchata cold brew
The coffee here is really good :) They also have espresso, tea, and flavor like Hazelnut and Vanilla for the coffee. The doughnuts here are all really fresh, and delicious. We bought the Tres Leches, Pineapple Cinnamon Fritter, and the Vegan Peanut butter. The Pineapple Fritter was by far my favorite, but the Tres Leches comes in close second. It was very original, and really good. The vegan peanut butter was really tasty for a vegan doughnut. This place is definitely worth the stop.
Me and my boyfriend surprised my friend with these doughnuts. It was very close walking distance, so we went on to try it out. Its a pink building with Danny Trejo faces plastered around the walls, so its an easy place to spot. It wasnt as busy as some reviews said it would be, but then again it was Sunday, so people wanna sleep in. As soon as you walk in, the doughnuts and menu are on your right. They have Horchata sweetned with dates and espresso drinks. Doughnuts look amazing! We were disappointed to see there were no plain cakes for our friend, but they still had plenty of options. We purchased half a dozen, and my boyfriend tried their Cold Brew. The doughnuts are on the pricey side, and there is limited space, but the employees made this place worth the trip. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful, as we exited and went back home, we told our friend the heartbreaking news, he didnt mind as soon as we opened the box. Everyone enjoyed everything, my boyfriend liked the cold brew with his Abuelita doughnut, I loved the Vegan Peanut butter Chocolate doughnut, so flavorful and smaller than most, but still the bomb. Overall, Doughnuts are all flavorful and the texture is on point.
Tiny but very nice and friendly place, very tasty doughnuts!
They had interesting choices of donuts. I chose a coconut donut and a cup of coffee. The coffee is really good too. It is not the best place if you want to seat down to enjoy it; they did not have any seats and there was a long line in a very small room.
Not the absolute best donuts in LA, but still pretty good. Out of the few I tried, the pineapple fritter was the absolute best! Definitely worth the stop. I also enjoyed the vegan horchata. This is in a small shopping plaza and there is free parking around the building.
The vegan donuts are SOOOO good!
Light and fluffy donut, tons of icing, fast and friendly service.
