I love anything black owned, and I’m even more excited when our greatness is reflected in the establishment! I ordered a Mocha with Almond milk and it was rich, and smooth. The Baristas were friendly and welcoming.. and incredibly patient as it was my first visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Great spot for coffee. They are really good people working their as they offer donations and are conscientious about feeding and clothing those without. Donation box for jackets is really awesome. Great coffee and croissants too.

This is an amazing spot! They have partnered up with local vendors, Black-owned, to sell a variety cool merchandise.You can also grab a quick cup of coffee and some food. The decor is thoughtful and informed.Definitely worth checking out!

The baristas are sooooo welcoming, I got a free button because I was a first time customer. They have cute outdoor seating, and the vibes are immaculate. I ordered an horchata iced latte (not listed on the menu, but recommended by the barista) and it was delicious. Definitely coming back!

One of my favorite coffee places that Im weekly - sometimes daily - loyal to. BEST team, ever. Every time. I never leave there without feeling extra positive or uplifted thanks to someone on the South LA Cafe team. I confidently recommend to anyone who wants good coffee AND great community!

Those who prefer to work or just hang out at a coffee shop would enjoy this area. They offer wonderful coffee, nice staff, and plenty of space to sit down and relax. For a neighborhood coffee shop, they stay open late. Breakfast and lunch are also available. Ill be back and Ill tell my friends about it.

This property has an undeniable charm. Really good cuisine was served at this event. It was a pleasure to meet the proprietor of this café who was so warm and inviting. This is a second home to me. I enjoy the cuisine at this restaurant and the ambience.

Nice staff selection extremely expensive for the neighborhood n community it serves. Lastly I ordered a french toast and got cold cinnamon bread instead. That a lemonade and hot tea came out to over $12. They do have nice shirts n noveltys. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Its a truly select coffeehouse for me. Its a particularly comfortable spot to visit companions and family members and appreciate a few beverages and delectable treats. Cherishing this spot a great deal. It is anything but an extremely huge foundation, however they have a wide range of seating places. Its a serene spot with a tranquil and agreeable climate. I unequivocally prescribe this café to every one of you.

I decided to go here to support a small business that is supportive of the community. The decor was nice and it was clean. The cashier was nice but she forgot to give me my change from my order. I ordered a lemonade, iced vanilla latte and avocado toast with tomatoes. It was 17 bucks. Wow! Gave her a 20 and got no change. I think she forgot. My friend was purchasing earrings and bracelets . No problem but I think it was a human error. I didnt notice until I got in car. It was a long line so I just let it be.Purchased a 35 food box to support a family in need. Gave her 40, she gave the change, told her to keep it.Im sad to say the drinks were horrible. My iced vanilla latte tasted like McDonalds coffee .My friend said her lemonade tasted like minute aid out of the fountain. The avocado toast with tomatoes was lit .I will try one more time because every one deserves a second chance.This is my honest experience. The 2 stars are based on the coffee and lemonade. The service was good and the fact that they help the community get 4 stars.

Amazing place to come to!! Came for coffee but ended up coming out with a bunch of freebies. The owners are so nice and the coffee is spot on, it made my morning. If you’re ever around the area, check this place out you won’t be disappointed!

This spot is a gem in the neighborhood! The vibe is peaceful and the energy is good. I dont know where they got their staff from, every staff member I have encountered has been polite and they speak you like they really enjoy being there; they are knowledgeable about the products and do make suggestions and recommendations to help you make an informed selection. I havent been able to get past the coffee cake, just like what you remember from nutrition at LAUSD schools; Ive been told that the avocado toast is wonderful too. And on top of all of this, the owners are on site! They are friendly and personable which adds to the overall comfortable feel.

I am extremely grateful for this awesome coffee shop with an awesome ginormous space in my neighborhood. The space is clean, inviting, and decorated pretty spare but tastefully. I will definitely keep it in mind and will keep coming back to either meet friends, have meetings and/or work.

The owner only provides single origin organic beans roasted to perfection. For the quality, it was reasonably priced. Love this restaurant and will continue to visit!

The cafes staff was extremely polite, and the food was delicious, including breakfast crepes and outstanding coffee and hot chocolate. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here last Saturday. With excellent artwork and eclectic furniture, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The bathroom was also one of a kind. Well be right there!

One of my top spots for quality cafe food. Got there about three, it wasnt crowded. The staff was very welcoming and sociable. The prices are fair for the quality of food. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.

Best place to get your coffee in South LA. Black-owned and they have the best coffee cake. The atmosphere is dope and a great place to meet up, create and of course have a cup of Joe. Forget starbucks, come to the South LA Cafe!

The cake and drinks here are excellent. The cakes are not too sweet and have great texture. We sat at the outdoor area with a great downtown Arts District vibe.

For the first time, I tried this place out and was so happy! And the food is incredible. Highly old school and fast service. I love the place.

Big but quaint, a real nice neighborhood cafe, exactly what the area can use for the better. Pastries are delicious, baristas are knowledgeable, and have good small talk, as well as can remember a face. I love things like that. Its Cheers but for coffee.

Yes, it is vegetarian but with the flavor and richness in their dishes you cannot even tell. Fresh and a really healthy option when youre trying to eat right.

This was my first time visiting. I love the atmosphere. Only today was the day the coffee shop had a availability problem. It was singled handed by one of the owners. She was kind and efficient, the coffee could have been a little warmer would be my only concern.. I dont like to wait a long time for lukewarm coffee . Overall it, I would go again when Im back in Los Angeles.

This place right here!!! Wow! What a perfect vibe. Definitely my new spot. The decor is beautiful, airy, spacious, clean and South L.A. This is everything you want in a community coffee shop. The perfect place for a solo stop or a small group meet-up. Theres a nice conference room in the back with beautiful art, a free library and board games. All of the South LA merch is hot....jackets, caps, mugs, t-shirts, buttons and more. Only had a cup of coffee, which was fine. But theres plenty to explore on the menu. Hoping they add some sandwiches or wraps tho. Kudos to the owners for the vision and the faith to activate the space in such a phenomenal way.

So excited to have a great coffee shop in the neighborhood! Drinks are delish, the staff is delightful, and space is great for gathering with friends or getting some work done. They have cabinet of board games and great little conference room if you have a crew that needs a big table. They use organic and socially conscious products and care about their impact in the community which is much needed in an area thats sadly overwrought with junk food markets and fast food. Keep up the good work!

A great new addition to the community. I will definitely be back to pop in to grab a drink and a snack while getting some work done. The prices are a tad high for the area but comparable to competitors. Plus it’s better to support a local business than a big brand coffee conglomerate.

Beautiful cafe, great coffee, and great place to hang and do laptop work as there are many outlets. Only thing that would make it better is if they had to stay cups and dishes to cut down on paper and plastic waste. If they got their own cups made with their logo they could use them and sell them too!
