The Brad Pitt here is my favorite coffee drink in Koreatown. The hot foam on top & the cold espresso at the bottom go well together, really well. I love it. If I remember correctly my gf got the rose latte, she really liked it which is saying something bc she is a coffee addict. Shes tried coffee shops in several cities. I def recommend this place, the outside patio is nice too to sit down & enjoy a drink. its small but its got a cute vibe to it.

I went to Alfred Tea Room with a group of friends and ordered the mystique tiger boba latte made blue with butterfly pea tea. It was a beautiful drink. The boba had a caramel taste and tender chewy texture. The only miss here was the bland milk which tasted a little like condensed milk. I would definitely come again but order a different drink. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. The chairs here are super comfy!

Food -- 3/5! We waited an hour+ for our pancakes. Going in, we thought wed wait for like 30-45 minutes but unfortunately that wasnt the case. After an hour+ of waiting and adding more time to our parking, we finally got the pancakes. It was pretty good! The sauce had a good acidity that helped cut down on the heaviness of the pancakes and cream. The creme brulee burnt sugar bits were delicious as well. I would give it a 4/5, but knocked one down due to the long wait. The wait to deliciousness ratio is not ideal... I wouldnt wait an hour+ for these again. They were a bit on the eggy side as well.

White peach crepe cake:Overall tasty but a little too sweet. I ca barely taste any white peach and thats only from the jelly which was very mildly flavored. There are some very small peach bits but it didnt add much peach flavor. Texture of the crepes was good though. 3/5Berries in kyoto sub soy milk less ice w boba: Pretty good drink! I love the berry puree on the bottom and there are some Blueberries in there as well. The matcha foam on top is good but I prefer tea marus maybe bc this one is more milky cheesy. The soy milk is yummy. The boba is alright. Not as squishy as I like but tastes good. 4/5Fruit melody w alishan high mountain oolong 1/2 sweet less ice:This drink was alright. I like the watermelon and pineapple bits there is lemon and lime so it has a little sour tang. I think I would prefer this w jasmine tea. 3/5

So cute, so LA! Ive visited the Alfreds Coffee House across the street a few times, and so decided to give this a try as well! Its on a cute and quiet little alley off of Melrose Place, with a very lovely and aesthetic pink facade. Its small inside, but very lovely. I loved the black and white floor tiling. They have teas and milk teas available, as well as some pastries and other light treats.I ordered myself the Rose Milk Tea, which I have found to be hit or miss in other tea shops that I have been to. The one here, however, tasted delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness, and I loved the honey that they added to it. Reasonable prices as well! They have a small single restroom available in the cafe, and most of the seating is outside of it. It looks like more of a grab-and-go type of place. The service was also very friendly, fast, and efficient!I was very satisfied with my milk tea here, the aesthetic atmosphere, and the friendly staff! I will definitely be back!

Just a piece of advice, have another personnel who double check the orders. It might help with multiple orders in a very busy weekend. Thanks for great customer service from grub hub. Everything here is delicious. All made from scratch, using top-quality tea, its hard to find tea places that will do premium milk tea from real ingredients, but also has great matcha, and interesting specialties, and also also has rare loose leaf teas to brew, things you can hardly find anywhere. Pastries are great, and the courtyard is nice to sit with a pot of tea and relax. Honestly, its like my second home.

A visit to Alfreds Tea Room was suggested by a friend of mine who discovered its existence via Foursquare. As visitors from the East-Coast, we would not have learned of the tea room without the app. A discovery, it was. Alfreds Tea room is an art-deco themed bubble-tea room, absent of any Asian cultural influence. It targets a demographic that appreciates modern art, with a playful pink color scheme. Dessert cases, fresh salads, bubble teas, locally sourced chocolate & more. Distinct architectural design, which I particularly appreciated. However, Alfreds Tea Room was not designed for high-traffic. Cramped, and difficult to navigate. Bubble-tea options come at a premium in Los Angeless Melrose Avenue district. When I say premium, expect a high price point with tapioca pearls for an additional charge. Unusual & unnecessary, in contrast to competitors who charge a flat-rate for final results. We paid the price as visitors looking to compound our final day in Los Angeles. With that being said, was it worth it? For price point, no. When visiting Alfreds Tea room, expect high price-point deco items- you, as the guest are more likely to be paying a premium for the architects bill, rather than for the quality of items you will be receiving. 3/5- high price point, tapioca pearls charged +(additional), cramped floor-plan.

Honestly after reading reviews I really wasnt expecting much out of the tea here but its actually pretty good! Ive been here a few times now and Ive never had anything thats not at the very least good.Ive tried the House Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, Rose Milk Tea, and Rose Berry Matcha. Everything Ive tried has been pretty good but the Rose Berry Matcha is hands-down my favorite. The rose flavor isnt overpowering and the berry puree is delicious combined with matcha. Boba here is sweetened and a good texture whenever I visit.I usually get half sweet at other boba places but the drinks here are already lightly sweetened so I dont adjust sugar here. Ive only gone here when Im in the area for work and there isnt a lot of parking so Id recommend coming if youre already hanging out near Melrose.
