Lovely cafe with delicious bites. It draws an artistic crowd, as the owners, artists themselves, have a dance studio at the back of the cafe, and have put intention into decorating the place with their creative and amusing touch. I used to really enjoy the Wednesday classical music concerts. Hope they resume the events soon.

Food was cold. At the time arrive. It took to long I was hungry and paid for it. So let eat enjoy it. Cold... Vibe lots people touring around without purchase. Some effort wont hurt. Clean environment outside if restrictions are apply . Service at the counter was good. Coffee the best delicious taste.( DIDNT HAVE MOCHA.) Like places feels like LOUNGE THURSDAY & RELAX. I believe on weekends they encourage everyone to avoid using devices and socialize instead.Everything Ive tried at Paper or Plastik has been good, but my favorite items are the maple latte, french fries, and mimosa bucket.They sell some small specialty items inside as well; and there is a dance studio through the back door to the cafe. Cool offbeat decor as well. Really unique place designed to give you a great experience!

The service is so bad and the prices for the food is to expensive. And two breakfast is 50 dollars and you cant get refills on coffee

Unfortunately this place has really went down in food and coffee quality. We went a few times recently and it was bad both times. I cannot recommend any longer, hopefully it gets better.

Heart-melting coffee taste! This was the first time I visited this place and at that small hour, I can say that they got my heart right away. I went to this shop yesterday because I was told by my friend that this is the best. Good thing that I came here and ordered coffee and food. The waiter was very accommodating and nice to me. It was really sweet when I drank their coffee, which I always liked the most. So if youre stressed out or need a rest, go to this coffee shop!

Excellent coffee, diverse, and nice eclectic surroundings! Just a good varied mix from mellow jazz, the sixties to good modern. A little bit of everything. The food, the atmosphere, and the waitress are completely lovely, and the place is so cool and perfect to work. I will recommend this to anyone who loves coffee!

Coffee is good quality but nothing special... they serve food too. I like that they have an upstairs space and plenty of seating and also outside seating. My coffee wasnt hot enough and neither was my friends. 13.00 for two coffees and a croissant. Is go back if in the vicinity. It was only my first go around here

This is during covid 19 so this review will be for only this period. Place is sorta pricey for what you get. I had a tuna sandwich and it was above average. The salad on the side was fresh but the dressing sucked. Order took a long time as well.

My absolute favorite cafe in the city. This is my spot when I need to get work done or if a friend wants to grab a coffee or bite.Ive made my way through most of the drink menu & then some! My personal favorites have been the lavender chai, the rose latte, their cappuccinos, and the recommended maple latte. I so so so appreciate the fact that they mostly seem to try to be aware of their single plastic use by using glasses and mugs for in store orders and glass cups for water. Hoping to see them continue this effort!Food Ive gotten there, while a little pricey, has always been delicious. The vibe of the place is always great with friendly service, creative individuals, and friends meeting up. Theres even a studio attached to the back which hosts free events!Definitely would recommend--you know Im there usually once a week!

This place is such a find! Free parking (private lot next door), delicious pastries and espresso drinks, plenty of seating indoor and out, free wifi, and the best, though most surprising of all? Its so quiet! Yes, there is light music, but everyone is honestly there to work. The focus was almost contagious.I had a mocha and an apple spice muffin and worked for 3 uninterrupted hours. I will definitely be visiting regularly even though this is not even close to home. Worth the visit!

Love this place, have been going for years! Rose latte is exquisite. They have a great social distancing set up, the hours on google say till 8 but they do close at 3:00 for covid times ❤️

I nice little cafe serving up some serious delicious coffee in the ❤️ of mid-city. There is tons of seating and although I only got a ☕ latte, they have a full menu of pretty tasty looking 🍔🥗🥪 food to order. The staff was super friendly and helpful, Ill definitely be back! 👍

One of the only really decent coffee houses in this Wilshire Vista neighborhood. Not cheap, but they have a happy hour from 4-6 and actually sell some decent pints of beer as well as that California staple of avocado toast (tasty here and a bit different from regular avocado toasts). They have an anti-laptop policy so please note that before coming that its not a good place to work. Its a good place to meet friends or grab a coffee or a pint with business contacts and connections.

Met up here with a friend I havent seen in 10 years. The vibe is super chill. I only grabbed a double espresso, which was excellent. There were families eating here, couples having coffee, friends chatting. My buddy ordered some food to go and it came pretty quickly. If I lived close by this seems like a place that would be a great no-brainer hang out spot. The employees were friendly, fast and courteous. Theres outdoor eating, and indoor seating.

This place has a great atmosphere and decor - but more importantly TASTY food, and beverages. The breakfast burritos are amazing! Everything ive tried has been delicious.

Love the place. Good staff, good drinks, even better food. If you haven’t tried the burger, i highly recommend you do. I’m also partial to their savory croissants, any day of the week!And in case you didn’t notice, there is a discrete dance studio in the back!

Very upscale spot to grab coffee or a meal. Most tables do not allow laptops (there are small signs), but there a few places on the second floor or in the back where you can pull out your computer and work. There is free WiFi, but you need to ask for the password. Pricey coffee (because LA) but the pastries looked v good - I didn’t get anything to eat though so can’t give more detail :)

Been to any other hipster coffee spot in LA then youve experienced this one. Pretty great music plays softly in the background. Coffee & Baked good costs the same as a meal so youve gotta decide which your heart wants more (got the BLTA sandwich. Twas okay. Nothing to commit to memory). No natural light so youve gotta decide btwn dim library indoor seating or getting baked by the sun outside.

Their iced coffee didnt disappoint.I got a slice of the carrot cake, which was huge but not that good. I would pass on this next time.The ambiance here is different but comfortable. I was able to work a lot while enjoying coffee.The staff here was really nice too.If Im in the area, I would come back here again.

This was my 2nd time in one week meeting a friend here. She recommended it, as I had never been there before. Had a coffee the first time and had a fried chicken sandwich the second time. It was amazing.They restrict the use of laptops at certain tables which is nice. Not everyone is sitting around starting at screens, people are actually having conversations.

This place was a great shop to pick up coffee but I wouldnt recommend it for sitting and studying. I got an iced flat white and it was delicious and perfectly roasted coffee. They have a ton of options. However the reason why this place isnt a great place to study is because there are only 3 or 4 outlets in the place, the WiFi is spotty and the tables are small and the chairs are uncomfortable. All of this makes for not the best place for one to study.

This is my go-to spot for coffee, tea, or a quick morning bite (and sometimes brunch).Their coffee is exceptional, made the way it should be. They also have an extensive tea assortment. Food is on point, Ive never had an item there I didnt enjoy. I highly suggest the breakfast sandwich and avocado toast. Ive only ever tried the breakfast/brunch options but Ill be trying at some point to make it for lunch or even an early dinner.Ambiance is really great as well. Really cool industrial design AND theres a dance studio in the rear that you can actually watch from the upstairs loft area as an added little bonus. Weekends they enforce a no-laptop rule as to keep the LA screen writers at bay, which I think is a really great touch.If youre looking for a local coffee joint that you can also get a quick but delicious bite to eat at (while maybe watching some ballet), this is the spot for you!

Super bummed with customer service. Was told I wouldn’t get charged for almond milk because I am lactose intolerant. Was then told I was wrong and they always charge extra. Which I think is stupid as I CANNOT drink regular milk.. so y’all are charging people extra for their allergies? anyway, great coffee, never going back. Really didn’t appreciate the shut down and righteous response of pin man, unwilling to understand that this is an unfair policy. These coffee spots need to come off it. You’re telling me that your expensive food and beverage can’t cover the occasional person with allergies? You guys charge like $15 for avocado toast lol 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Whats not to love. Large windows to let in all the sunshine, plenty of seating, and very modern and simple decorations and furniture. Menus are written on brown butcher paper pulled down from suspended rolls.

Was on my way somewhere looking for a place to eat when i discovered this really cool cafe. I felt like i went into a time machine and stepped out at 1969. A really nice escape from the corporate dominated world.I loved the food also. They need some Woodstock posters in there somewhere.

This place is a great go-to for a coffee, beer, wine, or just plain old relaxation and conversation. It’s one of the rare coffee joints that’s good anytime of day or night. Their food is pretty great, too. On weekends, the whole place is laptop-free, so you won’t find all of the tables occupied by script-writing Angelenos. Bring a friend or bring a book and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere, exposed wood, and historic brick walls. There’s sidewalk seating too. Overall, an excellent place!

Their tea and coffee is excellent, but definitely on the pricey side. Their desserts are satisfying but nothing amazing. Ive only had the food a couple times, but it was surprisingly tasty and creative.The community tables are nice, as are the laptop restrictions. Great place to hang out, get some great coffee, and get deep into a good book or conversation.

Great spot to grab coffee and meet people. Their cappuccinos and lattes are very good, as well as the ham and cheese board. They do not allow laptops on weekends, so plan accordingly.

Could be a good place. Lots of good food and drinks to choose from. They have a strict no laptop policy for most of the seating areas, which is nice. Lots of security cameras though, think they should spend more on controlling their fly problem. It’s a popular place with good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is ok, close to noisy street so not good for conversations.

What a warm welcome we receieved here! I was wearing a coffee shirt and he noticed, and upon discovering we were in the coffee industry too, comped our drinks! They were friendly, quick, well made, and a great open space with tons of light. Love that they dont have wifi in weekends. Forces conversation!

Great neighborhood coffee shop to grab a bite, do some work or simply pick up something up to go. Theres two floors, and the second overlooks into a dance studio which can be entertaining to peer into during a work/study break. Space is limited if you want to snag a table but I havent had any trouble in my experience. :)

My wife and I stopped here on our way to our hotel after arriving at LAX. Our hunt for coffee led us to POP and we were definitely pleased. Its a nice little cafe with an industrial feel and even at 10:30am on a Thursday it was popular! While the cashier taking our coffee and food orders did not feel extremely confident in the questions we had on the menu, the food was surprisingly awesome. I dont know what magic went into the Turkey & Avocado sandwich, but get it now. Were planning on stopping again on our way back to the airport in a few days.

Paper or Plastik Cafe might just be my new neighborhood coffee shop. The staff was super friendly and delightful for one. My cortado/Gilbraltar was really well crafted and delicious. Theres a ton of seating in various arrangements. I sat outside on the patio, but theres plenty of places to sit. They have some tables that are laptop free, but also Im pretty sure theres some laptop zones. Its also gorgeous. Lots of natural light and wood accents. Plus plants everywhere. Great shop.

I have been to this place frequently for years. Today, I had a strange experience over iced tea. Rather than fill an 8 ounce cup of tea, they claim they cannot do it for some reason. The iced tea is very good, but what I did was, I went two blocks away and got a better tasting iced tea at Paradocs where the manager Taka is so very nice. The service here is not great and Paradocs is consistently so nice.
