Went in today, first time trying this place. Not up to my expectations. The two men up at the front… get rid of them. They are going to ruin your business. They are rude and their attitudes are out of pocket. Meaning it wasn’t necessary. Probably won’t ever come here or recommend.

Quick service as the second customer of the day. The Rico with no bacon was really tasty but a tad oily towards the bottom. Came with two sauces (I liked the darker one better). My short Americano was good but I liked the one I got yesterday from Cafe Luxxe better, although the energy and customer service was a little more elevated and positive at Alfred. Would definitely come back to try the more complex drinks (i.e. chagaccino). Outdoor seating available. Mask required for ordering inside. Small adjoining lot with free parking.

Lovely place to pick up from (the matcha latte is my absolute favorite), but unfortunately there is no indoor seating as the place is really tiny. I recommend ordering ahead using their app, so that you know exactly what time your drink will be ready. In terms of food: their prepared bagels are great but I wasn’t very impressed by the breakfast burritos. Long story short: get the matcha latte but plan to take it somewhere else to drink it (so you have a place to sit and sip).

Famous vanilla latte tastes just like a latte. Its not shaken/mixed well, so you have your milk floating on top of the coffee. Good if you prefer above Starbucks quality.

I’m done with this location. I’ve given it many tries and every time I go here it never fails at the staff are rude, and unattentive, and unhelpful. Their latest stunt is to give you a teabag separately from your drink. If I’m paying $4 for tea, you can prepare it for me. Absolutely ridiculous

I had been starving for a good cup of coffee for days, so maybe thats why I really loved this place? Or maybe its just because they do a hell of a good coffee. I really liked the atmosphere, even if it was slightly rainy and you could not enjoy the outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

We had just ate at Pizzana and were walking off some of the carbs and decided to check out Alfred Coffee. Ive been to Alfred Tea Room, but never one of their coffee spots. They had a lot of extra things like mugs, water bottles, chocolate, tote bags and more. Kombucha on tap was new, and matcha was new too. They got a lot of small white tables outside where we took a seat, and many people were camped out to type on their laptops.Ive gone by the Alfred in Silverlake quite often, so I think Ill stop by there too one of these days. I can see why the brand is so successful, with such friendly staff. Was let down by my experience at Winston Pies right after this visit... unfriendly. But then we went to Tavern (old Hamburger Hamlet spot) and they were really cool!

Wow! What a super cool place to check out. Obviously, we went during Covid so everything was to go orders only but this Alfred’s has a park attached to it so you can socially distance from people while enjoying your coffee. They have mobile order so my coffee was ready right when I got there which was a plus. I got their cold brew which was amazing. My wife got their latte which she said was good. Plus they have great bakery items to try.

Great location. Espresso taste is far more modern (3rd wave) so it is a bit lighter roast in general. Espresso drinks are a bit watered down for default size so Id add a shot or add a lot of room. Lot of people outside if youre trying to avoid the pandemic. Staff has good precautions, but customers are mixed.

I didnt want to believe the hype and follow the masses but this place delivers by providing an easy and delicious coffee experience. As a huge fan of Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and having been to their training location in NYC, I was more than excited to pick up a bag of beans here. I ate a sweet and delicious miso pastry with a delicate miso and buttery flavor and ordered a latte to go. Their lattes feauture espresso pulled from a La Marzocco machine. The end product featured a more delicate flavor with a smooth and buttery finish--a welcome change to the stronger flavors around town.

Pandemic love from the staff! Standing outside yesterday trying to figure out how to order directly from their website, some of the menu items didnt load. Rather than turn us and our order away, the friendly staff not only took the order the old fashion verbal way but ended up giving it to us on the house because of some other complications (not handling cash right now, credit card has to be linked via website). The macchiato and matcha lattes were delicious and the camaraderie palpable in this time of awkward encounters and shopping confusion. Thank you baristas and staff of Alfred Brentwood!

This is a great local cafe, the coffee great tasting and the service always excellent. The only down side is that this is not really a hang-out and work kind of place with crowded table set-up. Update:You can now order with the cashier again! Though a cup of coffee still took them a while (had to brew a new batch it seems like).----------------------Had tagged this place on Google maps a while back. Finally went in today around lunch time for a cup of coffee. The ordering process, especially if its your first time, is currently painful, because of the precautions they have taken (rightfully). You have three ways to order:- install the Alfred Coffee app, but its ONLY available on iOS- use this website to order, which you can scan a barcode for- use Postmates to order (from what I understand, Postmates charges you a little extra even if you are picking up)I am on Android, and dont use Postmates, so had to go the website route. Took about 15+ minutes overall, just to get a cup of coffee and a slice of banana walnut bread.Positives:- very good drip coffee!- the person who brings out the orders, was super friendly- the banana walnut bread was yummy! When things are back to normal and ordering is easy again, Ill be there more often.

Yummy, yummy delicious coffee! They serve Stumptown here. They also have a wide variety of snacks/granola/salads/sandwiches/pastries if you want to make a one-stop lunch or morning breakfast. Parking is limited but you can park on San Vicente for free before 8AM. The service is fast and friendly. The space inside the shop is limited but there’s plenty of tables outside and I never had an issue finding a place to sit. I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Alfred Brentwood on our interview date. The saying “But first, coffee” is taken seriously when it comes to small local franchise Alfred Coffee, and their Brentwood location certainly doesn’t lack in trying to let their customers know that caffeinated goodness is available once they step into their colorfully kooky designed shop. Known for their #10DollarLatte (pretty much a Starbucks sized cup with your choice of significantly better ingredients), they also offer classic coffee and tea options (including a chicory, cacao, dandelion, chamomile blend called “Fake Coffee”) and cold brew, kombucha and matcha available on tap in order to please the many different types of Angelinos and visitors that come through. Fun little fact apart from them having great coffee, Alfred frequently likes to collaborate with other businesses, including famed specialty chocolate company Compartés (in which a shop is within walking distance to Alfred) and hilariously satirical social media account Overheard LA (which included themed coffee sleeves). So, what are you waiting for! Let yourself relish in quirkiness that is Alfred Coffee!

Every time I travel, I seek out top notch craft coffee. I love getting to try new shops and it always makes my trip better! Alfred was on the top 20 list for LA so I stopped by to check it out. Parking was really tough, and the wait was about 15 mins. I decided on cold brew and an espresso, but I was a bit disappointed by my cup of espresso, I think because it was so busy, they just had to rush it and didn’t pay much attention to making sure it was excellent. In general I liked it and if I’m in Brentwood, I’d give them another shot!

Not to be too rude or too unkind. I like this place initially. But quite frankly the coffees overpriced, delicious, and a long line.I watched them make $100 bucks in litteraly 10 min. I asked for some soy milk on the side and they actually put it in the coffee after I told them clearly and specifically Not to. And they did hear me. Why am I so upset over a small thing like this, Im not! Im just simply stating that this lovely little coffee house with all its good intentions, in the words of Carlos Santana is missing the LOVE that it desperately needs. I could even feel it when I was in there. NO LOVE, NO RESPECT = 2 STARS. Sorry !!😟
