I was so lucky to get to work with Mrs. Loyce. She had a full schedule due to last years weddings being rescheduled and she still took the time to work with me and she did an incredible job. I needed alterations on a very intricate wedding dress filled with beads and such and she did a phenomenal job. I always felt so taken care of. She is such an amazing human to top it all off! Everything she says about being a bride and weddings is all true so pay attention. And she really gives you life lesson gems about marriage. Just an overall beautiful experience.

Getting married during a pandemic is stressful to say the least, but if you have Loyce by your side, it can really feel like a breeze. I was recommended by BHLDN - and she was the only alteration spot that had such stellar reviews, so I needed to see for myself!Loyce was bright and responsive when we first discussed over email my hopes for my dress. My only worry was that months (and a pandemic) went by between my first and second alteration- I didnt know if that was appropriate, but Loyce was prepared to make all the alterations I needed at a reasonable price, with a custom veil and belt included to boot! She made her own recommendations very clear which I appreciated as a first-time bride.Not only this, but when I decided to add a second dress very last minute for my first look- which needed MANY more alterations - Loyce was more than prepared to come to my rescue. She made the petticoat removable, lightened the layers underneath, and hooked it so that the slim fitting dress underneath could be shown off more from the front. I cant emphasize enough how impressed I am by her skill and her vision for a dress. She can really transform something.For a regular alteration with hemming and gown top closures or a bustle, there might a few places in Los Angeles on par with Grace Bridal Couture. But Loyce really shines in making the dress of your dreams from something off-the-rack. You cant go wrong if you put your dress in her hands!

I was quite lucky to find Loyce to help with my BHLDN wedding dress alteration! The gorgeous beaded gown I found was way too long for me and way too complicated to alter but not for Loyce! She spent days hand sewing back my train after resizing it because the beads were too delicate for machine sewing. She made the dress felt like it was custom-made for me. I felt like a princess on my big day all thanks to Loyce! She also helped me with a custom-made hand-beaded veil to go with my dress. Thank you Loyce for all your hard work!

JOB WELL DONE! I had got a custom George Elsissa dress from Australia that really needed to be tailored because of my petite frame and I was worried taking it to just anyone because of the hand beaded material and I wasn’t sure about the skill level in the US but Grace Bridal Couture put my anxiety at ease. She did a fabulous job on reconstructing the sides of the dress and fixing it to where my small breasts were not popping out. Loyce is very sweet and professional and definitely was a joy to work with. If you have a high end couture wedding dress you need tailored look no further! Grace Bridal Couture is it! She also made me a custom veil! She’s awesome.

Loyce at Grace Bridal is so sweet and amazing! My dress previously looked great on me, but she somehow made it look even better! Everything fit like a glove but was very comfortable. She also added in the bustle and took in length in the torso (rather than just the bottom of the hem) to make sure everything fit my body measurements. I would highly recommend!

Loyce was an absolute angel from day 1 - she helped to make my vision a reality and was such a joy to work with. She is extremely talented and detailed and only takes on so many brides a year as she does all of the work herself. I reached out to her as soon as I got my dress as she came so highly recommended. I didnt know what I was doing when I told my mom I would use her veil in my wedding. Enter Loyce: I found Grace Bridal on Yelp and sent Loyce an email telling her I wanted to make a custom veil out of my moms old one. We met a few days later and so began my journey with Loyce. I looked forward to each of my fittings because they meant time with Loyce. She offered everything from husband help to style advice and made me feel like I was with a family member while creating this special piece for my wedding day. In the end, my veil turned out so perfect, it was the centerpiece of my outfit and the accessory people loved the most. I would recommend any bride visit Grace Bridal!

Loyce simply worked magic with my dress. I brought her an incredibly difficult task - tailor an unforgiving (and unsupportive) charmeuse silk dress down at least 4 sizes and make it flatter a curvy body... while I was losing weight. I cannot speak highly enough of her creativity and talent. My dress came out absolutely beautiful and she even worked with me to make very last minute adjustments on my body where my weight loss had changed the strap fit. My only regret is not finding her before I found the dress - I would have gone custom if I could!!! If you have the chance to work with her, take it.

To say Loyce is a master at her craft is an understatement! She goes above and beyond for her brides making sure the dress looks its absolute best. She could have easily just hemmed and taken in the bodice but instead she reworked the dress she took the lace from the bottom to help with the bodice. Loyce is unbelievably talented and did an incredible job altering my wedding gown - which was no small feat considering the layers of material! She made it fit perfectly and gave me great tips for how to wear it and what to wear it with. She has years of experience working with brides, and it shows in the way that she counsels and calms. Plus, she is very fun and my bridesmaids and I had a blast at every fitting. When it came time to pick up my dress and make my payment, I was shocked by how reasonable the final price was.She is that rare combination of an uber-skilled person who genuinely takes care of her clients and doesnt take advantage of a bride in a weak and stressful time. You can tell by the 5 star rating how talented Loyce is, but I still feel the need to share my experience.I bought a beautiful gown from BHLDN that I fell in love with as soon as I put it on.. but I knew the alterations would be a lot of work. Im pretty tiny (about 51) and the dress was meant for someone who was closer to 510. While it was beautiful, the skirt of the dress looked pretty difficult to alter because of the trim at the bottom and the way the skirt was made of several panels, and I wasnt sure how to even approach it. So I hunted around and decided to give Loyce a call to see if she could help with the dress.Nervous, I went to my first appointment with her and she immediately put me at ease that she had an idea of how to approach it. She ended up taking apart each layer of the skirt to shorten each one, which would make the dress short enough. Additionally, the top of the dress needed a bunch of adjustments because my torso is much shorter, which she was able to do without a problem. She was very accommodating with scheduling.. Between our second-to-last and last appointments, I lost some weight which made the dress that she had pinned and basted for me so well a month before not fit anymore. Thankfully, shes an expert and knew that the dress may need some last minute adjusting, so she hadnt sewn the lace in places where it wouldnt be fixable. She didnt hesitate to add in one more appointment for me to make those last minute changes and make sure I had my perfect dress for my wedding.Aside from her obvious talent, Loyce is also the sweetest and wisest person. I thoroughly enjoyed every session with her and its easy to tell how much she truly enjoys her job. She is amazing and I highly recommend her!

I was lucky enough to be a Grace Bridal Couture bride. I was recommended to Ms. Loyce by a friend of mine and as soon as I walked into her studio I knew she was the one to dress me for my wedding. She is so sweet and nurturing, she really CARES about each of her MANY brides and provides a pillar of support through what many would describe as a stressful time. Ill say right here that I am a very laid-back person (although I do care about details) and I was determined to be a low-key and aggressively chill bride. Once I found Ms. Loyce, I knew I wouldnt have to worry about my dress. I knew it would be beautiful, fit me like a glove and be exactly what I wanted. In true Kiara fashion, I had found a beautiful dress at Out of the Closet for $10 that I loved and thought Id get it altered and keep as a backup. But after I poured over dresses that I loved online, and visited shops to try on styles, Ms. Loyce and I decided that what I really wanted was that dress, altered, plus some volume! The dress was altered (perfectly) and Ms. Loyce fashioned an incredible fairy princess skirt for me to wear at the wedding (and any other time in my life that I feel like being a princess...)She gathered ideas from my searches and our talks, and then created a skirt more beautiful then I could have imagined that was gorgeous in photos and held up very well while being dragged through the grass all day at our park wedding. I am so pleased with how everything turned out.Something that really stuck with me was Ms. Loyces patience. She deals with brides every day of her life, on all points of the bride spectrum and she has the knowledge and years of dress making experience, but still continues to remain grounded and supportive of the brides wishes. For example, through our time, I would have strong opinions or ideas about the sleeves, or the length, or the color (everything, really) and Ms. Loyce would listen, 100% entertain the idea, try it, show me, and then would provide her professional advise which would usually be better in the long run, since, well, this is her specialty.Ms. Loyce was incredibly professional, fair and meticulous while also being the most loving, caring and supportive person I worked with on my wedding. Her job is so important to her and she is so personally invested in each of her brides and their special day, that the entire process becomes such a joy. I had a dress disaster on my hands where I needed a seamstress asap. Loyce saw me immediately and gave me the best advice-buy a new dress. Alterations and steaming would be really expensive and may not turn out the way I want. She easily could have convinced me to do hundreds of dollars of alterations and didn’t. She was so kind, understanding, knowledgeable and friendly. I will get a different dress and bring it to her for alterations.

It was a huge risk, I didnt know how it would look on me and how it would fit, so I took a chance and paid my deposit for the order. I am so glad I met Loyce from Grace Bridal Couture. She custom made my wedding veil, and it was stunning! I could not have been happier. I was looking for a custom veil, and she did exactly what I wanted. I wore a Vera Wang gown for my wedding, and she designed a veil that had exactly the same lace of my gown! I looked for veils in several bridal stores, and I could not find a veil that was more beautiful than the one she designed. Her price was also very reasonable. Loyce is a darling! She brought me many options to choose from, and was very flexible scheduling my fittings. She knows how busy it gets closer to the wedding! I went to Grace Bridal Couture in hopes that Loyce could turn my $15 find into a Berta inspired gown. When I initially got the dress it was just an outer shell of lace. What this amazing woman created was nothing short of miraculous! I shared my vision for the dress with her and together we collaborated to make the dress I was dreaming of/could never afford. Eventually I bought a duplicate to add a train and scalloped edge for the back of my dress.What Loyce really did for me as a bride on a budget was give me lower cost options and the freedom to pick every detail of my dress down to the buttons.Tips I would give to new brides are as follows:~ Make sure to book in advance at least a year ahead to make sure you get on her schedule. Shes a very busy woman and has people fly in to work with her. Make sure you keep this in mind when booking appointments with her.-Know what you want ahead of time and be clear and concise about the details.-Dont be afraid to speak your mind. Loyce is very honest and will share her opinion with you but if theres something you truly want make sure to tell her.-Lastly, make sure you discuss your budget with her. She is very accommodating and has worked on everything from high end gowns to ultra budget ones alike.When you make the choice to get your dress done here youre not only getting a dream dress but an experience. Its completely natural for any bride to feel overwhelmed and stressed out leading up to her big day, and I was definitely no exception. Loyce and her assistant miss Linda worked with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the final product. She is very understanding and offers words of wisdom and kindness. She even pushed back my dress pickup date to accommodate me. My husband and I had the most amazing talks with her, ranging from practical wedding advice to keeping me calm and focusing on the big picture. Dress fittings were in a word magical...I kid you not at one point there were puppies there!! 🐶The only thing I regret is that it had to end. What I got out of this experience was an amazing dress and the wedding of my dreams.💕

Loyce’s commitment and dedication to creating my dream wedding dress was invaluable. She included me throughout the entire design process and her passion and creativity made it so much easier. The process began with her asking me to send her pictures of sample dresses and silhouettes that I liked. She immediately responded and said that she will make my dress how I want. She then recommended a couple of fabric stores for me to go to and choose some fabrics. She gave feedback on the fabric and what would work best. She picked up the fabric from the store herself and once we began the fittings, it was the most enjoyable experience. Although she wasn’t able to be there on my wedding day in Italy, Loyce gave me detailed instructions on how to care for my dress and ensure that I walk down the aisle looking exquisite for my soon to be husband. Loyce is the BEYOND amazing. are there 10 stars because I wish I could do that?! I came in back in January with my moms dress I wanted to make into my own, but I was soooo indecisive on what I wanted. Not only does she have a great personality and great schedule for those working / out of town but she has such great advice on weddings and your day in general.Doing a custom heirloom gown and not seeing the dress until the last minute can be stressful but I had so much trust in Loyce I never had to worry. My mom wanted to be involved in the process so she made the veil and Loyce got the right tulle to go with it and was even wrapping a comb for me when I picked up the dress!She humored me when I was indecisive and helped me talked through all my options that I cannot WAIT to see how everyone reacts on Sunday for the big wedding.Loyce, you are amazing and someone I am so glad has been involved in my wedding!!!

She will spend extra time with you during fittings to make sure you get exactly what you want; she is only happy when you are happy.The worst part about the whole process was when I realized I wouldnt get to see Loyce on a regular basis. I thoroughly enjoyed our fittings and I am so sad they had to end. THANK YOU SO MUCH LOYCE!

There is no one better than Loyce when it comes to getting a bride ready for her wedding day. Other than marrying the man of my dreams, she was the best part of the whole wedding process. She altered my aunts heirloom wedding gown for me and created a dress that was beyond my wildest dreams. Loyce also convinced me to wear a veil for my wedding and it really tied together the whole look. Everyone at the wedding was just blown away by my gown and veil. No one could take their eyes off of me and I have never felt more beautiful in whole my life. And that is all thanks to Loyce, my fairy godmother! Loyce thank you so much for being such a big part of our wedding!!

Loyce was incredible from start to finish! I didn’t think that having my dress altered would be a fun part of the wedding planning process, and it ended up being a highlight because of Loyce! She was so patient – I didn’t decide on my wedding shoes until the final fitting, and Loyce kept telling me that I should take all the time I needed. We laughed throughout the whole process, and Loyce made it so comfortable to ask questions. She explained in detail what she was going to do and why, and I always felt that I had a full say in whatever the decision was. In addition to her wonderful business style, she is incredibly skilled. My dress was ordered too small for me, and Loyce did all she could to make it look better – I felt beautiful in the dress on my wedding day, and it’s because of Loyce!! I recommend her highly to all brides – she is just the person you want working on your wedding dress!!!

Since I was little I dreamed of getting married with my mom’s dress, and Grace Bridal Couture made this dream come true! I’m from Venezuela and it was really hard to pick someone to alter my mom’s dress, but I was very lucky meet Loyce thanks to all of the reviews from her customers! Certainly, each and every review is very true to her wprk and dedication! She is not only the sweetest person, but she really valued my mom’s gown and worked every detail with love. She redesigned my mom’s vintage gown that had limited amount of fabric and did an amazing job! We met many times, just to make sure that everything was done right. The dress was even prettier than what I had dreamed of! My husband and I just received a letter stating that my husband’s previous marriage was annulled and I can wait to start planning my wedding next year! I already have the most important part: THE DRESS!!!! Thank you Loyce!

Loyce was fantastic from beginning to end. I bought a sample dress and took it in to see what Loyce could do. There were minimal alterations needed and instead of trying to sell me on expensive alterations, Loyce figured out that by adding a few crinolins under the skirt, we could avoid having to take out and redo the hem all together! Additionally, she made me a gorgeous veil that was the perfect touch to a stunning gown. She has all the best tips for getting your dressed cleaned and traveling with your wedding dress. Loyce took care in every detail so that my dress and I were ready to travel to France on our fabulous day! Could not be happier with her services.

If anyone on help deserves 5 stars, it is Loyce. She gives you everything you would want from a dress alteration. With how much you spend on a wedding dress, you want to make sure you are in good hands. It is such a huge part of the wedding and cannot be left to someone you dont trust. If you work with Loyce, you are not only in good hands, you are in the BEST HANDS. She made me feel like everything was taken are of and I had nothing to worry about but to show up to my appointments. I had no hesitation and doubt that she would make me look and feel like a princess. With all the million of other things that you stress out about during wedding planning, getting your alterations should not be one of them. Her quality of work is amazing. She made all the changes I needed and helped me with things I didnt even consider but should have. Loyce made sure that I want leaving her shop with being 100% comfortable. She also made me a beautiful veil. She was spot on with the color and length.Not only Loyce have impeccable work, her personality is what sold me. There is no other dress designer that will make you feel as comfortable as Loyce. I look forward to all my alterations because I love talking to her. Loyce is literally everything and more! She is so professional, honest, hard working, and truly truly cares about her work and her brides! I found Loyce on Yelp and connected with her the moment we spoke on the phone. Im usually very hesitant when it comes to web referrals, but that was my only option. I bought my dress in New Jersey, but live in LA. I did a ton of research on alterations and kept coming back to Loyces work. My dress was lace with beading and I was really nervous to let anyone touch it. Good thing I went to the right person! Not only did Loyce alter it perfectly, but she also added a GORGEOUS crystal belt and made me a custom veil to match my dress. Ive honestly never felt as pretty as I did on my wedding day.Just to add a little color to how magical she is...She spent 3 hours with me on FaceTime with my mom in our first meeting. After that, we had a SECOND first fitting to show my sister and best friend in her shop. They LOVED her. Then, we both decided together that I didnt need an additional fitting. On the day I went to pick up my dress, Loyce accidentally left the veil at her house. In true Loyce fashion, she went all the way home and then came to MY HOUSE (thats right she came to me!!!) to delivery the dress and veil. I dont know of any other wedding vendor that would do that!Like all of the other brides the worst part about this is that I dont have any more fittings with her!!! I encourage everyone reading this to just call her. Custom dresses or alterations! Shes a dream. Also, she will 100% work with your budget! Love this woman!!!

It was three weeks before my wedding and I decided to start finding a seamstress to alter my bridal gown. The wedding store that I bought my dress at was clearly over-charging (more than 1/3 the cost of my dress). I went on Yelp and there were so many qualified seamstresses with high reviews. I read through all of them, but one thing that stood out about Grace Bridal Couture was Lloyce’s personality. The brides raved about how wonderful and personable she was. I called several other places that specialize in bridal alterations, and they were not as personable. One place asked me to fill out a form on a web site in order to schedule an appointment. Other places turned me down for providing such short notice in advance of my wedding. I had no idea that alterations require 6-8 weeks, at a minimum, before the wedding date.After speaking with Lloyce, I knew she was the one. She was so sweet yet spunky. Her charisma burst through the phone. She accommodated me immediately, despite her extremely schedule. Apparently, summer is the height of wedding season, and not only did she have many dresses to alter, she also had many dresses to create!I was impressed upon entering her boutique near the Grove. The store is elegant, warm, and inviting. A beautiful chandelier hangs in her show room along with her many wedding dress creations. Having basic knowledge of sewing, I casually studied her sewing technique on these dresses and knew that she was not a tailor, and not just any seamstress. She was the best in class.Lloyce gave me clear expectations on the fitting schedule as well a reasonable quote in our first fitting. I was anxious because the dress I bought was off the rack, the beads were falling off, and I needed to lose weight in order prevent major alterations (by adding lace-ups or paneling) to the original design. I had many challenges ahead of me, including the short time frame, finding the perfect shoes to match, and making trips to downtown LA to find the right gems to match my dress.From the start, Lloyce handled my dress like it was her baby. She treated it with such gentleness and care. When you spend that kind of money on a dress, you need to find someone who will alter it with the same kind of love that you would put into it. Needless to say, Lloyce seemed to effortlessly alter the dress to sheer perfection. She hemmed a fragile crepe hemline with no mistakes. She secured each gem, one-by-one, by hand. She created simple bustles for each tier of my A-line dress, matching its elegance with precision. Lloyce created shoulder seams on sheer fabric that held together intricate beading, and ensured a perfect symmetry of the design upon finish. She also went above and beyond and created a custom elastic headband for my daughter.Lloyce’s eye for perfection and detail really calmed me down, not to mention her personality. Not only is she vivacious, she ended up becoming my friend, therapist, and mom all in one. She let me sit on her fabulous couch to complain about the wedding drama that was unfolding during those two weeks. She would patiently work, making last minute adjustments, while either laughing with me or supporting me emotionally. Her no-nonsense approach instilled more confidence in me. She was never in a hurry to get me out the door, and hugged me whenever we said goodbye. This experience made wedding planning, which can be very intense and stressful at times, extremely fun.I had so much fun with Lloyce that I was filled with sadness as I left her after my last fitting. I am happy to call Lloyce my friend now.

Loyce, the owner and designer at Grace Bridal Couture, is absolutely amazing and helped make my vision come true. After spending weeks going to all the usual places (saks, jlm, Nicole miller, etc...), and feeling utterly disappointed, I decided it was time to try to look into a custom gown. I was admittedly hesitant at first- I didnt know if I could afford a custom gown, and I wasnt sure if I had the energy or vision to deal with what I assumed it would entail, and didnt know if she would be able to create the style I like - but I figured a phone call couldnt hurt. Loyce picked up, and everything changed. First, she assured me she could help stay in my budget ($$$). But more than anything, she put me at ease in a way only a true industry legend can do. I honestly booked her over the phone.Our subsequent meetings were a highlight of my wedding planning. Im not that girly, but she made me feel like a princess. Her online photos do not do justice to the variety and high quality of work she is capable of. Quite literally, through a series of appointments, my ideal dress was created around me. And it was exsiquite. Italian lace with a open, criss-cross back and a corset at my tush. I received so many compliments on it, I almost got tired of hearing it :).As much as I truly loved my dress, I have to say best part of all was working with Loyce. Seriously. The woman freaking came to my wedding and helped me literally until I was walking down the aisle. Who does that?!? And shes freaking adorable with a fantastic personality too. My mother in law still talks about how much she loves Loyce.All I can say, make the damn call. There is no downside, only the possibility of having the wedding dress of your dreams!

My gown was ready on time and for less than $3,000. She exceeded my expectations.
