A wonderful spiritual oasis in Los Angeles with great talks, services and classes in Advaita Vedanta taught by knowledgable monks and nuns of the Ramakrishna Order.

Its a good place that welcomes everybody. They have an open mind and respect all religions. Very nice staff and friendly people. Very beautiful area as well.

This is a wonderful spiritual little temple with wonderful loving servants of God that keep this beautiful temple serene and spiritual. I live a little far from it now and miss how calm and peaceful I feel when I enter the temple. It took me tell I was 40 to find a house of God where I actually could feel Gods presents.

A nice humble unpretentious Church more or less right underneath the Hollywood freeway. Saw the most unremarkable pedestrian almost centuries old white male centered lecture on beauty that seemed half. Out and poorly delivered but a lovely humble middle aged or elderly man in an orange robe. Everybody very friendly they sang do a little organ recital in a very modest humble place of worship. Seems rather pointless and meaningless for the discussion a kindly way do I guess get community and does anyone really listen to the sermons anyways?

Good place and nice lectures

Contemplative place with gentle, welcoming folk. Nice if youre into their sort of thing which I am not.

This place of worship welcomes all people, and people of all races and faiths. It has an over whelming atmosphere of peace, love of God and tranquility. I have NEVER been subject to anyone there who has been mean spirited!

To Rosario Hurley: I was at the same event and here’s what I saw. Sarvadevananda DID ask people to take small portions at the meal because there were a lot of people and not a lot of food to go around so by taking small portions everyone would get fed. I couldn’t disagree more with what you are saying; this “skinny” monk has shown me nothing but compassion. I also feel when the food is free you shouldn’t complain that you didn’t get as much as you wanted.

This place is a Bastion of Peace in the middle of confused and materialistic Hollywood been there since the 1930s wonderful place to meditate always open and the stories meditation of shoes personally long as you removal is part of an Eastern tradition but not always mandatory on Sunday they also serve a light appetizer lunch after the service coffee tea very refreshing and lovely place then its Stallworth of Hollywood from downtown TuneIn meditation

Parking is very tight. You will find peace inside.

Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful Surroundings, just a truely wonderful place to relax and unwind.

This quiet church is a great spot to meditate in right in the heart of Hollywood.

Love their little bookstore and there is never not a good time to pay homage to Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

50 yrs a great place for serious spiritual seekers with a intellectual orientation.

Wish visited this, missed it.

My go to place when I need a peaceful place to just be.

Vedanta Hollywood temple, the Indian monk in charge whose name is Servadevananda, an old cranky skinny monk is very mean, and descriminates people whites, Latinos and women. He does not practice compassion, he is very greedy with food and his power is going to his head. He usually wakls around yelling and picking of people who are not his kind of race. He yells at people in the dinning room louly and embarrassing them in front of everyone around, when people are ready to have meals. Stay away from this monk and from Vedanta, because he is the head of the Vedanta Hollywood temple.The fact some people do not have a place to go to have a meal or people is looking for kindness and love and understanding perhaps not because of having money to buy a lunch or buy a meal. People want to have spiritual guidings because this world is full of troubles. Stay away from this kind of hostile environment.
