I received a gift card from work for Malik Books and was so excited to order Stacey Abrams books online. I ran into a bit of difficulty (my order total with shipping went a little over the gift card amount), but was able to call in and speak with April, who was so friendly and helped me place my order online using a combination of the gift card and credit card payment. Great service. Had a delay on my order which was unfortunate but it was fixed and then some! They were very apologetic and sent out some extra books, that are spot on to my taste might I say. And love that they have such a wide variety, something for everyone.

I wanted to get the new Malcolm X bio for my son Malcolm. I live in AZ and looked for independent bookstores in LA on the web. Malik is black-owned and near his apartment so I placed an order. They CALLED me to tell me the book was on back order. And a short time later they emailed me to tell me the book had arrived and they were holding one for Malcolm. GREAT SERVICE!

I purchased a few books from Malik Books online and it was a great experience! They had a great selection of books and they kept me informed of the status of my order, which had to be completed in parts since at least one of the books was a pre-order. Ill definitely order from them again and Id love to visit them in person once the pandemic is under control!

This place is awesome. It has books by many black authors that wont get placed in other book stores. It also has unique gifts like handbags, mugs and calendars. Whenever I go the the mall, I stop by. Sometimes Malik is there and we chat. This place has books for all ages covering fact and fiction. Check it out when you are in the area.
